Tl;dr. I want to live here. Simply a magical place. I said more than $50 because I got plants. Amazing coffee and beautiful plants for the right price. I was pleasantly surprised they dont overcharge you like many hip coffe shops do (often mediocre beverages).

Love the place! Will be back. Picked up candles, an AMAZING latte and 2 nice plants from the greenhouse. They were really busy but service was excellent and I felt very welcome in the well decorated and well lit, inclusive space. The only recommendation I would have is to either turn down the music or play something more chill lol… otherwise, awesome place and vibe!

The Good Neighbor equals Good Coffee. When I walked in it transported me to one of those coffee shops in LA art district. I love it. What a beautiful spot and its here in Baltimore.PS: try Sweet Tart Toast with a Cortado.(Toast about $4-5 pricey for what it is but the coffee is really good).(Only negative part is the parking. This cafe is right on Falls Road so its hard to find close parking. They do have 2 or 3 spots in front but Goodluck with that. )

I love the space, the coffee, the collections, and some of the staff. But I’ll suggest just make a sign at the book area and tell people not to sit there with any food or drinks, then u won’t need to tell everyone not to do that.

We had our wedding reception outdoors at good neighbor and the experience was absolutely incredible. The amount of care and thoughtfulness and attention to detail they put into the evening was remarkable and made for a very special evening. And the food! A four-course, delicious, beautifully-presented experience by Chef DJ Neal was totally enjoyed by all of our guests. They were very sensitive and attentive to dietary needs, too. The entire staff was so friendly and sweet and caring. We love it there and can’t wait to keep going back for toasts and coffee in their beautiful outdoor space and reminisce on the evening.

Coffee is solid, citrus thyme soda is refreshing. My favorite thing about this shop is the outdoor space. I popped into the greenhouse afterwards to peruse the plants. Be warned they werent well staffed during the week, so with a crowd they were unable to prepare food. They offered a free pastry for the inconvenience though.

Fabulous restaurant and store. Everything you see is for sale including furniture, plants, books. A true Good Neighbor supports their other neighbors. That is what I see here.I had the fruit salad. It is a must try. Imagine fresh fruit, various small nuts/seeds for protein, well seasoned, on a beautiful base of crunch and cream.

I had a really great time at their new Chaat hour! The servings sizes are a little bigger than your typical tapa servings and they were all delicious! You can tell the chef prepared each dish with care! The popcorn and shrimp dishes where my favorite and the blueberry cocktail tasted like a delicious kool-aid of sorts (itll def creep up on you)! The atmosphere on the deck was great for a Friday evening, between the music, drinks and food, I almost forgot that I was in Baltimore! Highly recommended and I cant wait to go back!

This is a great neighborhood option, and we LOVE the outdoor patio. It is however the slowest service we’ve ever had at a coffee shop/bakery/breakfast place, every time we’ve been. We thought it was just opening jitters at first but we’ve been 15-20 times over the course of 18 months and it’s been insanely slow every time. We even ordered ahead online once to get around it and they didn’t start a hot coffee until we got there, which meant it wasn’t ready for 20 minutes. I hope it’s a staffing shortage because I want this place to succeed. Clearly they’re doing fine despite it, and it’s critical that they have such a pleasant space to be in while you wait. Also, stuff is never ready at the same time so my partner and I end up completely out of sync food and drink wise every time we go.

The whole overpriced fancy toast thing feels like an episode of Portlandia but then the toast is really so delicious that any seeming pretension is forgiven. Everyone who works here is friendly, the drinks are lovely, I want all the home items they sell, I dream about the chickpea pomegranate toast. My only complaint is the seating. There was not enough outdoor seating even though there was lots of outdoor space, and the tables/ chairs inside are very aesthetic but not functional for actual eating, if that is what you are trying to do.

My new favorite spot in Baltimore. If you haven’t checked out Good Neighbor, you need to. The store’s vibe is so unique to Baltimore and had such a relaxing atmosphere. The employees are incredibly kind. I love that everything in the store is for sale and all the unique furniture! For food:We got the floral toast and Chaat Box salad! Both are to die for. We loved the toast but you NEED to try that salad out. It was incredible... We also go coffee which was excellent!Outdoor area:This blew me away, as if I already wasn’t by the coffee shop. The work and care going into the outdoor area of this shop is amazing and obvious. We were able to talk with Amanda who is working on the garden + Greenhouse + flower shop and she shared a little bit of the vision of this area and I can’t wait! This area isn’t just outdoor seating but a place for the community to come and tend to and learn. Good Neighbor isn’t going to be a business/shop but it truly seems it will be a neighbor to the community. This will be a hot spot in Baltimore. Again there is nothing I’ve been to in Baltimore like this place. I’m so excited!

This place is definitely a good time, great taste place !!Today was my 2nd visit and equally as great.I met a friend for midday beverages, toast and girl talk and she was impressed. We both spent at least 30 minutes admiring the calm, tranquil and welcoming atmosphere as we enjoyed our Butter Toast, Lavender Vanilla Latte and Jasmine Pearl Hot Tea.The Butter Toast was cute, soft, unique and yum. It has the perfect cinnamon taste that isnt overbearing.Although we ordered 2 different hot beverages, our descriptions were similar. We both commented on how smooth the taste was and there was no separation or after taste from beverage sweetener.Just smooooootthhhh.I will most definitely revisit this place again.I appreciate the work space provided as well as the serene atmosphere. If you havent visited, what are you waiting for?

I have become a regular there and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food (theyve got amazing pastries, toasts, and salads), great drinks (coffee and tea is incredible), and an all-around great atmosphere! I also love how warm and welcoming the staff are. I am there 3-4 times per week because its that good! Go once and it will easily become your regular spot for coffee/tea! Aside from all the delicious things to eat and drink the owner has done an impeccable job with sourcing housewares, books, and other goods that are cool, stylish, and high-quality. The patio space is a dream especially during the warmer months and it was such a great and safe escape during this past COVID summer! First impressions:A melting pot joint that has Japanese, Indian, American, African, Latino elements and a host of other cultures. But the pot has been stirred too much and now all the colors are blended to the point of confusion. We had their toasts which are very creative but not mind-blowing. Refreshing to see a new place in the neighborhood. Hampden is friendly and affordable hipster, but this place is for the rich hipster. I will certainly go back and update here.Feb 2021 Update:We like some of their toasts and their matcha latte is killer, and wish the overall experience was just as good. However, the ordering system is not efficient and whether you order online or in person, you end up having to stand and wait in their space which has a dozen or so display only chairs (though I have seen some people sitting but I was made to get up from the chair when I sat down). I think the staff is friendly and warm but they are very slow even for a leisure East Coast weekend. Not for us, unfortunately...

We got coffees to go. The Japanese iced coffee and Cloud Sweeper were very good! The store is beautiful and I look forward to coming at a less busy time to look around. They also have a website with their products, which is helpful.I am hoping that Good Neighbor will change their online orders from all “prepped on arrival” to include an option to prep right away. I understand they’re busy, they’re newly open, and it’s a pandemic, so orders will take time; however, during our extended wait outside we were repeatedly exposed to lots of unmasked people at close range. Until an option exists so that I can walk up and receive my order right away, I cannot come back.ETA 9/26/20: we gave them another try and we won’t be back. We ordered ahead and although we ordered and paid for cinnamon rolls, there were none left. The person at the counter had the absolute gall to say ooo sorry you didnt check in.” Was there a sign saying to check in? Was there a notification on the ordering system? No. I’m just supposed to know. Well when we got here I could see that there was only one cinnamon roll left for anyone so clearly they arent putting accurate stock in their POS and it wouldn’t have made a difference if we had checked in. If they aren’t going to keep accurate stock in their POS they really need to pull baked goods as orders come in. My cash refund of the list price on the cinnamon rolls means 1) I didn’t get my money back for the tax I paid, and 2) I effectively tipped 40% on the two drinks we did receive. The drinks were so-so and took over 20 minutes to prepare once we arrived. I don’t relish being indoors in a crowded space for 20+ minutes in a pandemic but that seems to be the only option because they continue to refuse to prepare online order drinks as they come in. This whole experience was infuriating.
