We love going here! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. And the upstairs has a kid room that our daughter loves! We also always find great books too. Oh and we love when the dogs are there!

Puzzle, Lou, and Coco really make the place a lovely spot to visit. But the book selection is excellent, the owners are marvelous. Truly an enjoyable place that is worth supporting.

Really like this shop! Well-curated collection African-American authors and subjects but much more besides. Picked up some graphic novels and will go back for more later.

Amazing store! Chock full of delights, inventory of books and accessories is wide for a small space. People with many diverse backgrounds will feel well represented here. The customer service is excellent - helpful but not overbearing. Check out the upstairs for books and treats for the little ones, and say hi to the 3 pups who take time from playing tug-o-war with their chew toy to greet each visitor.

Charm City Books is a WONDERFUL place!! They have only been around since October, but have come really far. Daven and Joe (with a little help from Coco and Lou) have created an awesome place for community involvement with things to do for all ages. This isnt only a bookstore, but a focal point for Pigtown and beyond. Check them out frequently!

Charm City Books is a Baltimore treasure. Carefully stocked with a great mix of high-brow, fun, beautiful, and even crucial book choices, novels, cookbooks, sci fi, you name it... as well as games, cards, puzzles, gifts and toys, and the owners and staff are just awesome people. Plus you can say hello one of the sweet canine staff members. And for kiddos, nieces, nephews, or grandkids, grab some gifts for them in the upstairs kids loft. :)

The best small bookstore in Maryland, bar none. They hold so many fun events, have a greatly produced youtube channel, and do so much for the local community. Everyone should stop in and meet the owners at least once.

New favorite bookstore! Stopped by last Saturday with my sister just to check it out. Great selection of books - obviously - and other merchandise with interesting quotes or cool artwork. It was close to closing and the owners were super nice about letting us browse. Plus, I was able to find a book I had wanted that wasnt in the US when it was first released. Definitely going back.

I came into Charm City books for the first time today. After being greeted by a few lovely dogs the owner was extremely helpful and personable! Their shop is small but mighty, they have books, puzzles, and other fun local Baltimore products. I will definitely be back! #shoplocal

This place is all the best things about shopping at a local bookstore. It has amazing owners who provide the best service possible. There are sidewalk sales on the weekends and great staff picks and focus on local authors as well as social issues. Plus the store doggies are cute

I ordered from Charm City Books in Baltimore during the pandemic, so my order was all online. I had ordered a different book from another local book store and that experience was not very good. Had it not been for the pandemic and my desire to support local during this time, I never would have found Charm City Books. I am so happy I did! From the very beginning communication was great! Every step of the way Charm City Books kept communicating with me and made me aware of the status of my order. I sort of screwed up a few things (I had a complicated order) and Charm City Books was patient and flexible with me. And the best part was my books were delivered WAY earlier than expected! I would highly recommend them!

This place is a GEM. Ive attended shows and workshops there (back when we could gather), and everything the owners put on is welcoming and community focused, and FUN! Great selection of books, toys, puzzles, gifts, doodads and trinkets - its now my go-to place for pretty much every gifting occasion, and I always leave with a new book I stumbled upon. Plus, the sweetest doggos you will ever meet - my dog even loves them!

Im very lucky to live so close to Charm City Books. They have a great selection of books, local crafts, coffee, etc... Bother Daven and Joe are so welcoming and friendly. If you have questions, need a recommendation on what to read, theyre both great to ask. If you cant find a book you are looking for, theyre happy to order it for you. And both their dogs there are so friendly and great with kids. I definitely recommend you checking them out. You maybe surprised at what you find.

It was so easy to order from Charm City. They sent me my package through media mail and carefully wrapped the puzzle in bubble wrap. I received it within a week and Im so excited.

Joe and Daven are AMAZING! During this pandemic, they took on a huge request from me. I ordered ten different books for my 10 AP Lang and Comp juniors at ACCE (Baltimore City Public High School in Hampden). They then delivered the student-selected books to said students ALL around Baltimore (for a total of 70 miles). They are doing free deliveries within the city, so this was a bit of a feat, especially because I asked them to do it all in one day. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will forever be getting every single book I ever purchase from Charm City Books. Such a great place. Such great people. Thank you both so, so much!
