Paul is just flat out rude. Long story short.. My car was supposed to be left out for pick up and it was not. I was stranded. Beyond fed up. I have never dealt with a professional THAT rude. Everytime I talked to him! He doesnt like to answer the phone if he even picks it up, doesnt like to answer basic repair questions or anything, work at the service desk doesnt like that either! His neighbors in that area dont even like him and say the same.

I went to the repair shop just by chance and I am so glad I did!! Not only did they tell me what was wrong in layman’s terms, they fixed everything without breaking my wallet. The people are so great and friendly and the work is superior to a ”higher profile” repair shop. I recently moved out of the immediate area and will continue to go back just for the fact that being a single woman they didn’t take advantage of me.

I do not recommend this shop at all. Paul is very friendly and does do his best to be informative and thorough, I will admit that. I took my car here because my check engine light came on. They fixed the ignition wires and everything was fine at first but the check engine light continued to come on. I brought it back and explained what was happening and was told there was nothing to be done because they could not locate the issue. I took my car to a different shop and they immediately noticed the ignition wires were not plugged in properly and that was the issue. I appreciate trasnparency and honesty, especially as someone who is not well versed in cars, and I do not feel I got that here. I should not have had to take my car somewhere else to fix an issue with a repair done by this shop.

My wife called to get a quote and getting her brakes changed, they quoted us 950. 08 kia Rhondo. No other shop has quoted over $300. The only reason she called is because they have a triple A discount. 10%...wont cut it. Ridiculous.

Came here for an Uber inspection, was told to get a reflector for my rear of car. I ordered the reflector, and when I came back they told me to repair my tail light. They pretty much stole my money & when I asked for a refund the guy at the front almost slammed my finger in the door.

Three brothers was a true god-send for me during a difficult situation with a vehicle that became a giant paperweight when the engine seized up. Paul and his team were very helpful, honest, and transparent in their diagnostic and provided me with a breakdown of the work to be done, and even alternative ideas to help me weigh my options. I felt like they had my best interest in mind, and their quote was more than fair. Even though this shop is out of the way for me, I hope to be a life-long customer!

Charged me 150.00 to tell me what I knew was wrong with the car. They would not offset the diagnostic fee from the repair. Waste of time and money!

A1 Auto Three Brothers har me in and out innocent time. The best part about it was I came in as a walk-in. I needed an Inspection and was still able to be serviced in a timely manner even without an appointment. This was able to happen even with customers already there before me. I will definitely be returning to them if Im in need of an auto repair. Oh and my inspector Clifton gave me some really good advice. He told me what to look out for if I decided to take my vehicle for service elsewhere. The advice he gave was very helpful so that I wouldnt get ripped off. This business is awesome!

Came in to get a state inspection on a car I bought from out of state. I knew nothing was wrong with the car but was glad they didnt try to rip me off. Passed the inspection plus recommended maintenance items based on my mileage. Great job!

I am discerning when it comes to vehicle care; always suspect of mechanics competency and honesty. I look to developing a relationship in all business matters and will always pay more just for that. It usually takes some hunting around to find such a shop. My initial impression with Dans customer service offered immediate assurance that these guys have good character. Many positive reviews also bolstered the decision to choose them.As a new resident of Maryland needing an inspection, Three Brothers took the vehicle right in and it was completed efficiently. I needed a couple suspension repairs which were logical. Dan kindly answered the question I had and overhearing conversations, its evident employees are knowledgeable and professional. Three Brothers serviced the vehicle the next morning, no wait. Dan quoted me a price and the estimate was 100% accurate to the final bill.I also spoke will Paul and he was easy to speak with. The work done performs to expectations. I will definitely return to have future service done by these guys. The shop is a bit out of my way, but this is a very small inconvenience for quality.

This is one of Ubers designated vehicle inspection facilities in my area. The first place I called, a national chain, was the closest to me. I was told they were booked for three weeks. A1 Auto however told me to come in when I want and as long as it is not raining they will take me. Apparently my state of MD does not allow vehicles to be inspected whenever it is raining. I showed up a few hours later and I was promptly attended to. Within 45 minutes I was out. Dont get me wrong the place was busy. The guy who did the inspection came out to introduce himself and gave me some good tips on keeping my car in top shape. Another guy, who seems to be a co-owner recommended a shop to me where I can get good quality body work done. While there in the waiting room two other customers were there who were made very comfortable being there. Overall very professional people. I recommend this business.

All business but friendly; efficient, very customer service and useful tech oriented (keeping informed, explaining work, juggling jobs, offering options, quick response, etc.). On Mothers day evening, googled car repair (I was out of town) and found excellent info and reviews for A-1/3 Brothers. Used their online appointments link to request 8 am next day appointment. They called at 8:20 am and said to bring the car in. My complaint was an awful grinding noise from the rear, initially at low speed, then forcing me off the freeway. They did a 12-mile test drive, including freeway, then, at my request, repeated it with me driving. Still no noise. They thoroughly checked the car, found several items that needed repair very soon, but not immediately, and some that should be done in the near future. They printed it out in clear, list form. I decided to have them do the very soon work. They ordered parts, did the work, and I was soon on my way. While in waiting room, observed constant stream of a variety of apparently satisfied customers. Cost was reasonable, great experience.

Very expensive; $278 for an initial MD State Inspection and an additional $43 to re-inspect after repairs. Said my rack and pinion was leaking and would cost $1,143 to replace and realign. I was able to do it myself thanks to YouTube videos. I got the rack and pinion for $203 and the alignment for $75. In the process of changing out the rack and pinion, I discovered the leak was a 10 cent O-ring. I could have saved myself a lot of time, money and hard, unnecessary work. They said one of my tag lights was out, but both were working. They missed the fact that one of my front shocks was not properly and securely mounted. This would have failed an inspection. Fortunately I discovered it and fixed it myself while I was changing the rack and pinion. Go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of money.

As a woman, I was not sure where I could take it to be fixed that I could trust. When AAA referred me to A1 Auto Three Brothers Car repair shop I found that they were friendly, informative, honest, and the prices were very fair. They worked with me to educate me about the problem and gave me options that were affordable. In the end, my car was returned to me running like new. The men who work in the shop were professional and I loved the fact that they were technically savvy as well. I got emails with updates, photos of the new engine and the serial number and full documentation. I left the shop knowing exactly what I needed to do to take better care of my car. They earned my trust and I would recommend them to all of my family and friends and anyone who needs an excellent mechanic or has questions about a car problem! Thank you guys!!

I would recommend these guys in a heart beat. Excellent service. They are trustworthy, friendly, fair, and very professional. They have a new loyal costumer. Prices are not cheap, but would gladly pay these guys what they ask because I know theyre not robbing me.I had an issue with my car that I assumed was a clutch problem. Took it to a transmission place to have it checked out and was told that my transmission needed to be rebuilt for 3k! I came to Auto A1 three brothers for a second opinion - they told me the transmission is perfectly fine and that it was indeed a clutch issue. Paul even suggested that repairs can wait as the issue might by work itself out!Also had them do my Maryland inspection. Gave me a list of repairs, some of which I did myself, and they were very helpful and understanding about it.Overall, great shop and great folks. Had an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs work done on their car.

Great experience in my visit here today. I had a tire light coming on and was preparing myself to be told I needed to replace one or more, and they actually checked out my tires, made a quick fix (I was lucky it was nothing big this time!), and sent me on my way without a charge. This quick and courteous treatment definitely built my trust, and I will be recommending them to everyone I know who is looking for a trustworthy auto shop in Baltimore! Thank you so much!

Please to anyone who wants to best Maryland inspection find another one location, A1 Will charge you extra and want to come back and come back pay $21 again For reinspection, they see my tire is flat with sensor but its not an ask me to replace my tire which is cost me extra and Im still going to use my old tire because nothing wrong with that tire .

I came to Three Brothers 2 weeks ago to get the Maryland State Inspection completed. I picked this location because of the awesome reviews on Google, and Im glad I did! Being that I was on a tight time schedule and had moved the night before, I was happily surprised when I called and was able to get a 8 am the day I wanted. My car failed on three things (I kind of expected it, its an older car), but the entire inspection AND fixing of those issues right on the spot only took in total 1 1/2 hours! Paul and the other guys at the shop were great- they explained many other things that could be done with my car to make improvements and werent pushy when I declined to do those things until I had more time and money. I honestly appreciated the fact that they were very respectful as well- sometimes being a young woman talking cars, you can get treated like you know nothing. Not here! Paul even printed out directions to the next place I was going (the MVA) since I was brand new to the Baltimore area and had no clue where to go from there. Prices were reasonable.And for people who said that the area is sketchy- your definition of sketchy and mine must be completely different- this wasnt in the least bit sketchy. Remember- its an auto shop, not a beauty salon. :)

Took our car here for state inspection. They got us in on short notice and wasnt terribly expensive. Our car didnt pass inspection but they explained why and what repairs needed to be made. We took the car back the next morning and dropped it off and it was done before rush hour the same day! Re inspection was free and we got our tags the next morning. Great honest guys! Will not hesitate to go there for future repairs when needed.

I had a very positive experience at A1 Auto Three Brothers, went in for the state inspection, and it was quicker then expected. Other shops in the area were either rude on the phone, not available, or charging more than I had researched it should cost. Based on my experience here I would definitely come back and recommend this shop for the same or other services. They were professional and efficient and who doesn’t appreciate that in a car shop!

Being a young female I tend to be treated condescendingly and overcharged by mechanics. Unlike other places, the workers at this repair shop are so nice and accommodating! They walked me through things I didn’t completely understand and offered me cheaper solutions even if it didn’t come from them. I truly appreciate everything they did.

Clean shop! Honest and helpful people! The only one in the Baltimore area who would even look at my car (Saab) let alone fix it! They also did a great job fixing our Sprinter van. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for professional, affordable mechanic!

This Auto shop is really a good place to get your car inspected. You dont need to have an appointment.I went there twice so far and I didnt wait long to get my car inspected and they do it professionally.Few months ago, my car needed only the stop light bulb to be changed and they advised me to do it myself cause its easy and i can do it myself and that I dont need to pay money for them to fix it for me which we made me trust them more cause they are honest and they wont try to make you pay money for things that dont need to be changed.

I got a flat on my way to work (very close to this location). I was able to call ahead to make sure they would be able to help. Within 10 minutes of my calling, I was there (they remembered my call) and they were working on my car. They were very kind, as I was kinda freaking out, and were able to put my spare on for not a lot of money and were able to give me information about my spare and tire. It was a wonderful experience (well as wonderful as getting a total flat can be) and I would definitely go there again for auto work.

I went to Three Brothers, for a MD safety inspection. They are very professional with great customer service. They found a couple of small things that I had to fix and I needed to bring the car back for re-inspection. They did offer to fix the items but I found their prices to be a little high. Id be going there for any future MD safety inspections.

I was encouraged to bring my car here for an inspection and Im glad I did. Most service shops leave me feeling indifferent afterwards, but these guys are certainly worth all five stars. I was in and out quicker than most places, and they worked on my car with heart and care .. even extended some good karma a previous customer showed them and gave me a deal on my windshield wipers. Coffee was hot, and they were extra sweet to my rowdy daughter while we waited in the lobby. If I ever need another checkup, well be here!

Let me start by saying I appreciate the owner Paul for being attentive when I was getting my car inspected for MD. I am very happy at the fact he searched my vehicle manual and showed me why I was failing inspection. Although it can be frustrating I understand the importance of safety. They were very nice and it was a comfortable atmosphere especially being a woman can be intimidating when at a car shop I honestly felt like I was hanging with the guys for the day! FIVE STAR RATING.The owner (Paul) was “really sorry” the service technician LEFT THE OIL CAP OFF MY CAR. I’m REALLY sorry I took my car there for service. Fooled once, shame on you...twice won’t be happening. Single ladies, seniors, those un knowledgeable about car repairs (which is kinda the point of service shops) take a mechanic to review the work of their mechanic. Beware...the oil change charge was refunded. No refund for any damages to my vehicle for oil SPEWING all over... $400 lesson.

Just moved to Maryland and had to get a Maryland Safety Inspection in order to apply for MD title and registration for my car. Prices were very reasonable. Scheduled appointment started on time and was completed in a reasonable time frame. Everyone was friendly and they seemed to do excellent work. I would recommend them and will personally use them again if needed.

I was desperate for a last minute safety inspection, having moved here and put off my tag and registration too long. Not only that, but I am in pain from kidney stones and thus, not thinking straight. They got me in and out quickly enough to get my tags before the MVA closed. They were kind, courteous, and very helpful. I will definitely be using them for all my car services from now on.

I had a terrible experience with Car repairs in Baltimore, false claims that my car needed things that were working in perfect condition and so on. I brought it to Three brothers and they told me I didnt need any repairs at all. Its hard to come by a garage that is not just out for your money but actually wants you to benefit from the exchange. I moved to SWBaltimore in 2010 and continued to go back to Carroll County where my minivan had always been serviced. But I recently changed my mind after stopping at A1 Auto Three Brothers for gas. I asked the attendant if I could put air in a tire that was low. This was my first time as a customer there. Before I knew it, while I was filling up my tank, he had checked my tire and added air to it. I'm 55 and I had not seen this kind of service at a gas station since I was a boy. Based on this experience I decided to start having my vehicle serviced at Three Brothers. I used them for service for the first time recently and was impressed with their friendliness and attentiveness. My minivan was ready on time and is running great. The charges seemed significantly less than where I had been going. They also alerted me to servicing that will be coming due over the next 20,000 miles allowing me to plan ahead for those costs. I will definitely continue to use A1 Auto Three Brothers. I also greatly appreciate them because they go above and beyond to help support their community association which is also mine. This type of local business involvement in the community is almost unheard of today. I'm thankful they are in this community!

I had a superb experience here when I went to get the Maryland state inspection done on my vehicle. I scheduled the inspection only, and when I got there, I asked if they could also perform an oil change as well and they were happy to accommodate. Also, they answered some additional questions I had about the vehicle registration process in Maryland, as well as the Emissions inspection process. I will definitely be returning to their shop whenever I need to for my car. Thank you!

This week I rolled into A1 Auto Three Brothers Car Repair with my friends car on a wrecker. I had never heard of them before, but they were recommended by AAA, so I agreed to have the car towed there. When I arrived I explained the problem, and was immediately impressed by Scotts ability to find a solution that fit our budget. He then put the car on the lift to inspect for any other issues,and identified a potentially catastrophic problem with the steering. After correcting that, he gave us some good advice about what to do before my friends planned cross country road trip. I have a pretty good BS meter, and never once did I feel that these guys were trying to price gouge, take advantage of us (as female customers), or recommend any unnecessary repairs. I am so grateful to A1 Auto and would return to them in a hearbeat, if I lived in Baltimore. They were efficient, professional, and kind. A1 Auto Three Brothers Car Repair far exceed my expectations, and I highly recommend their shop. Thank you, again, gentlemen. I really appreciated all that you did that day.

A1 Auto Brothers is a great car shop. The best thing about these guys is that they are very honest and reliable, which is a rare quality these days in that field. I took my car to get the rotors changed and they accidentally messed up the brake pads in the process. When I went back to pick up my car, Paul was upfront about the mistake and told me he gave me new brake pads for free! Ive been there 2-3 times and every time they explain exactly what they will do in a way that Ill understand. They even tell me if things dont need to be done and save me money. I highly recommend this place!

Wife and I have taken our cars there many times. Always reliable. They don’t do work if it isn’t necessary. Very fair and trustworthy. They provide options of what is and isn’t a priority. Recommend them to all our friends.

Dont think that the dealership is the best place to take your car!My Hyundai dealership had already looked at my brake light issue & told me it was not a fuse & not the bulbs AND they wanted $250 (& a few more hours!) just to LOOK at it.Went to A1 yesterday, they told me the issue - burnt out bulbs! It cost just over $70 & I was in & out in barely over an hour, which I so appreciate because I currently drive for rideshares & when Im not on the road I am losing income. These guys are all very personable & trustworthy. Will definitely bring my car back for future service.

After getting a diagnostic done, Paul gave me a convenient email listing all of the problems with my car and how much each repair would cost. When I asked him which of these was most important, he gave me an honest answer and told me which repairs were the most necessary, and which could wait until later. I also checked the prices and they were cheaper than what the Mazda dealer was asking for. The combination of honesty, friendliness, and fair pricing means I will be using this business for any future car repairs.

The service here is amazing, from the gentlemen that work inside the office to the mechanic who worked on my car! I went in on a busy Saturday morning and got my brakes fixed in less then an hour and at the last min I asked for an uber inspection and they didnt make me wait. Thank you to everyone there!

Being new to the area and discovering I needed to have my cars inspected to get plates, I was a little nervous about going to a shop. I read the reviews online and discovered this place. The reviews were the best I had found and I decided to take a chance with them. I was amazed at the service. Paul went above and beyond what was asked of him to help me arrange the drop off and pick up of my two cars. They were fair in their inspections (my 04 Honda Civic needed new front brake pads and the 02 Jeep Liberty passed) and the cost was fair. This place is a great one to go to if you need anything done or you need an inspection. I will definitely use them in the future.

These guys are fantastic. Made a last-minute appointment to get an inspection and they took care of me no problem. They offer FRESH coffee in the waiting area and the owner is a real joy to talk to.

I am an ase certified auto technician and I sent my sister here for inspection. They failed her for lower ball joints that were not bad . I literally just replaced ball joints full of grease with 0 play in them . Just so she will past re inspection. I’m not happy at all with my experience .

Ive taken 3 different cars here and find the service great. They are always willing to explain why something might need replacement/fixing and if its urgent or not. Great customer service!

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Awful customer service. Went in for a Maryland State Inspection. I was failed for unnecessary items such as wiper blades. I left to get them repaired, mind you, I didnt touch anything on my vehicle. When I came back for a re-inspection, I passed. Go somewhere else! Its a fraud here.

I went there for a Check Engine Light check. It cost me $50, which in my opinion was expensive. The people there seemed nice, and they seem to know what theyre doing. The neighborhood is a bit ghetto, but nothing too bad. Pretty quick service. Would I come here again? Maybe. I go to school at UMBC, and this was the closest repair shop with good reviews. But I have a repair shop closer to my home.

Everytime i have gone in they have been extremely friendly, and give me such an HONEST opinion about things that need to be changed in my car. if there is something that can be postponed - they advise me accordingly saving me unnecessary trouble and dollars! I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years. I’m not very fluent in ‘auto’ but the staff is always very helpful and gives detailed explanations of everything. Always a pleasant experience.

Mr. Clifton was great. I was initially informed that I would have to wait about 45 min to an hour by another tech. Mr. Clifton came and got me about 15 min later and took care of my car in about 25 minutes. Less than an hour in and out total. Thanks Mr. Cliffton.There was another guy there that was not so polite to my mom but I didnt catch his name. Hes tall, thats all I got. Lol! It didnt change my experience with Mr. Cliffton.

Dan sits at the rep desk and does nothing but roll his eyes and listen to everyone business. A job that takes 30 mins to inspect has taken damn near until noon. I guess white privilege is what gets jobs done around here because unless u come in slapping big money on the table they will get to u....well....when they feel like it. Shame.

I made a stop for my car inspection and was told come back Tuesday. So i called A1 Auto and was told to come on down. Everything and everyone were professional and fast. Thanks, Ill pass the word.

Wonderful experience. I took my car here for a state inspection and Paul and Steve were kind, patient, and explained everything in great, understandable detail. I would definitely recommend their service.

Paul’s customer service was amazing each time I called the shop! I’m always a stickler about good customer service so this made me very happy!

I did not have a positive experience. In my opinion, they overcharge. I had my car towed there because it wouldnt start. They charged $80!!!!!! dollars just to check the starting system. They said it was the starter, which I suspected as well. They ended up billing me $730!!!! $50 for shop parts, 500 or so for the starter itself (which I found online for WAY less, and quoted at another shop for 200 less), and then the rest for labor. Of course I had to take it because I couldnt take the car elsewhere. They also quoted me some other outrageous prices like $50+ dollars for oil change, $60+ for wiper blades. Just take your car to one of those name brand auto care centers, you wont get taken through the ringer!!!!! I would say they are at least friendly though.

Really nice place and courteous staff. I was impressed with their professionalism. It was my first visit and I didn’t feel that I’m a stranger.

I wouldn’t recommend. Unfriendly service. Called and made an appointment for an MD inspection. This place is not upfront or forthcoming about their fees. I guess the mission is to nickel and dime the customers. Cant trust a company like this with my vehicle. They wouldnt even accept my doctors note for my tinted windows. Just wanted to charge me to check them. Told me I have to go all the way to Glen Burnie to have an officer sign off on it. Went all the way over there just to be told just what I had tried to explain to them, that the sheriff nolonger does it. SMH... I would avoid going to this outdated low down dirty shop.

I love their walkin policy. Other mechanics make you wait days for an inspection and they did mine right away. I had a great experience!

Very efficient did my inspection in a short period of time price was cheaper than all others and personel was friendly.

They were nice and didnt treat me like an idiot because Im a woman. Paul was great. He gave my kiddo a toy truck to play with while we waited. We paid exactly what we were quoted, and there was no BS trying to get me to do other work through scare tactics. Plus they were fast. Did the work same day!

I dont normally write reviews, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the service I received here that I felt the need to share. I was referred to A1 Three Brothers by a coworker for my MD state inspection. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned about providing good customer service. They were upfront with the pricing. They performed the repairs I needed and recommended I contact another shop for a problem with my tire (possibly a manufacturers defect that could be replaced at a discount from the manufacturer), thereby saving me money. You just dont encounter such concern and honesty at large chain shops. Great job guys!

These guys deserve the high ratings they are getting. I got my inspection and an oil change this morning and can say that they are as professional as they come. Five stars.

Lack of communication and poor skill working on 20 inch tires. Brought the car to another place to get rims to find out that the inside bead of the tires are ripped. Was supposed to get cabin air filter changed but they ordered the wrong parts and left everything from my glove box on the floor. Left my car a mess.They knocked off my tire pressure monitor and zip tied it up. Didnt find out about the monitor until we got to the dealership. Very shady place.Had to go to the dealership a week after I got my tires replaced to see what was wrong with the car. Not worth the money I paid. Never coming back here again and never suggesting this place to anyone.

Came in here to get a diagnostic service, was having an issue with the horn going off unexpectedly. They asked for a full $175 before even examining the vehicle. Mind you, they had said $140 max that morning on the phone. I declined to utilize them because they were clearly surge pricing me, and I didnt know how much more theyd jack the price up after agreeing to the initial fee. It was a busy Saturday morning, and even though I arrived prior to most of the people (8:45am), they way overpriced the bid to get me out of the shop because they didnt want to take a tough job (I.E. they were charging a learning curve fee). They said they would need 1.5-2 hours. My Montgomery County mechanic had the steering wheel open in 15 mins and charged me $125 with an oil change. That was my experience with this shop, would not recommend, however I cannot speak to the quality of their work, having declined to use them. Call me old fashioned, but I dont use businesses that act like they are doing me a favor to take my business.
