Neat well laid out yard. If you have the LKQ app it will walk you to the car(s) you want.Parking is a little tight. DONT PARK IN AREAS NOT MARK. You Will Be Towed!!!
Send me the easy to find your car and sometimes they have guys out there to pull apart for you
I had an awesome experience at LKQ!!! They have an excellent selection of vehicles to get parts from. Until my recent visit to LKQ parts I had not been there since it was named Crazy Rays Auto Parts. I love how LKQ has their website where you can go online and look into their inventory. You can search by vehicle that you need the part from. It tells and shows you how many of that certain vehicle they have where exactly in the yard they are located. That saves a lot of time from walking around aimlessly looking for the vehicle that you need to get parts from. You can also search by part needed. I rate LKQ (Erdman Avenue location) a 5 out of 5! I have not been to their other locations as of yet, but after my most enjoyable visit to the Erdman Avenue location, I definitely plan to visit their other locations as long as they keep up the great job posting their inventory correctly and listing the location of the vehicles. Awesome job everyone at LKQ!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👊🙌
They had the last one i need. The only issue was they sent me to the wrong car. I had a 2014 and they thought 2013 would work. So let me update you on the latest!!!!! I pay go and go through to the other side and ask if they had my vehicle and i explained Im looking for an antenna. So they printed out and sent me on my way. They didnt have my year but the paper sent me to a different year. I go to this vehicle different model and the antenna was broke!!! But heres the ticker, even if it wasnt it wasnt the one I had. So i go back and they look at me like Im crazy!!!! I explain what happen and tell they should refund me since they didnt have what i ask for and you sent me to the wrong car!!!! They told me no!!!!!! So Im upset!!! I caked the company and they said they was going to send out a complaint and someone would call me in 24 hours. Just to let everyone know that was 3 weeks ago and Im still waiting!!!!!! I know that the complaint was put in because the person I was speaking with didnt hang up so I heard her repeat what I told her while she was typing it. What happen to customer service!!!!!!! No excuse!!!!!
My go to junkyard!has changed alot since it was crazy rays but still my number 1 keep up the great work!!
If could give less i would not only do they charge 2 go in its over prices and they can call a self perclaimmed machine to take the part off so i didnt have my tool payed to get in asked if they had someone i could give a few dollar to helo they call this guy shows up in a sports car say ill fo it for 30 granted the part was over 20 and brand new from the store it was 25 lol they guys said well i guess u not going to fix ur car cant get it for no where elce he statd thats how i make a living i would have dont it for free if i had my tools for someone maybe $5 but thats crazy and this company promotes it i was blown away the staff is so lazy no wonder they have to try and make any extra dime possible. Shame on you lkq i drove 2 hours cuz i hear is was a good place boy was i wrong helo a part hostage. BBB IS NEXT ON MY LIST NO MUSH AS AN APOLOGY AFTER I LAYS FACTS IN FRONT THEM IM TRYING TO GET INCONTCT WITH THE OWER TO HELP IMPROVE HIS BUSINESS THAT WILL RUN HIM IN THE GROUND
Good place to get part you’re need
Went in found what row the vehicle was in, pulled my parts, and I was out. Great experience.
Good for older car parts alot of parts to choose from
Great selection of vehicles, low prices and the staff was very nice and helpful.
Gave me a GREAT payment for my CLUNKER
Always have what I need to get cheap..just do your research before and you will be successful.
Great location you can find what you need not to picked over here! NOTE!! THEIRS A YOUNG MAN THATS SITTING AT THE FRONT WHEN YOU ENTER THAT HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HE DOESNT GREAT THE CUSTOMER HAS A VERY BAD ATTITUDE JUST TAKES YOUR MONEY THE YOUNG LADY THATS WITH HIM SPOKE AND SAID HAVE A NICE DAY THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE IN THE YARD WHERE HE BELONGS DEALING WITH THE JUNK. THE OFFICER ON THE FRONT SHES 100
Good pics of cars fair prices. Will continue to go back
Went in got the part I needed at a good price and was on my way
Had exactly what I needed.
Seen car i needed rear door off of when I paid to enter and got to the car the door was worse then the one I already had on car, couldnt tell from poctures
Great place for use car & truck parts!!!
Best price and very friendly
My husband works there and hes hard working and is great at his job! Babe if you see this. Love you!!
Service good inventory computerized and from my experience with them its up to date.
Found the parts I needed for the car I was repairing.
No luck buying front end parts. Junk yard destroy front parts trying to remove catalytic converters.
This place is not for everybody. This is for only the ones that want to get down and dirty. Admission is $2.00 per person. You are not guaranteed that you will find what you are looking for. You find the part... You pull it... You pay for it... You own it. I really enjoyed myself looking for what I needed. Thank you for reading my review.
Was not crowded and picked all the parts i needed un under an hour.
I needed a Buick Lesabre Limited part and they didnt have not 1 Buick Lesabre there NOT ONE!
They are doing a good job, however the have most old model cars to pick from(1990s and early 2000-2010). If your looking for recent model big NO 😁
Service was great there hospitality was great
Was the greatest besides not being able to take back non working stuff and no way to test it before you buy...
Good place for any car part i need
Entry is now $2.00.Definitely like the ability to look up parts and cars at all the different yards. Time saving plus.
A little dissappointing that they (employees) wont disclose inventory details over the phone. 25 miles away came in person, pay the admission fee and had to grab something/anything BMW parts as what i was expecting was already gone.
Do not ever go to the one in Baltimore Urban Avenue thats a real junkyard only all the parts you might look for I already broken up by other mechanic
Bad service rude people ended up going to 2 different locations to get what I needed the location in Glen burnie had a drunk guy behind the counter helping customers
We want to thank you Melissa for your assistance in locating a bumper today. You answered our call promptly, politely and informative.
They have reorganized the yard to make finding the car you need much easier. They also raised the prices. This is an issue for electrical components. You dont know if they are good until you install them. If they dont you are out of luck. Be careful !!
I love all the locations in maryland . they ne having more than what Im looking for. I allbthe time if one dont tge others mostly likely will have. i havent been to any other locations in Virginia yet But i will be.Thank God for LKQ pull you parts...About to be there today soon as they open...
I can find many parts and k ow exactly where the cars are located...
Always a pleasure...LKQ is a money garden!!! LOVE that place!
The part I needed was fairly easy to find and remove. And the people there are very friendly and helpful. It cost $2 to get in instead of $1 due to the rise in costs and the rim was $16.89 instead of the $15 I paid last time, but at least now Ill have a full size spare tire. No more donut for me.
Awsome found what I needed saved alot
Never take anything here or buy anything from this place. When it was Crazy Rays it was so much better. Was told 150 over the phone when I got there I was told 100. I ended up getting 80 bucks on a car that I drove there and runs fine.. NEVER AGAIN.. go somewhere else people.
Good source of OEM parts with bargain prices.
Could be better organised...
Cars are not organized. You have to walk through all the aisle to see if they have your make and model. Would be nice if they put domestics made in one area and foreign made in another. Like how they separate trucks from the cars.
In and out. Had what I needed for a great price
Sold a salvage car to Crazy Rays last week and had a great experience. They paid a fair price, and were pleasant and friendly. Not sure about the negative reviews; it was a Saturday, they were super busy, but everyone treated me great. I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
Once upon a time, I got $400 for my 97 Saturn that was in great bodily shape inside and out. I blew a head gasket, but I still drove it to them. Now that the new owners took over, I had a 96 Escort LX that was in great shape inside and out, but another blown head gasket. This time they said $75 and I could still drive it. The city ended up taking it as I was trying to sell it and I have no regrets knowing LKQ couldve made at lease $1500 just off the parts and body. As a regular customer over the last 30 years, Ive found their price and parts great lifesavers. Never bought a bad part yet. But I would give my car to scrap dealers before I let them take me for a ride over my cars now.
Prices are very high compared to 10 years ago before LKQ bought them. Otherwise, the yard is well organized. The staff is nice and helpful if you treat them with respect and dont act like an @$$hole. Watch walking between cars and along the walls at the edge of the yard as people like to take craps in the yard. Make sure you lock your doors in the parking lot and be careful leaving the lot, ive seen accidents and hit & runs because you cant see past the food truck while pulling out on to erdman ave. If you see something interesting in the online inventory, go check it out ASAP, inventory is very fast moving and this joint gets a ton of traffic.
Fantastic! Parts I needed were only $40.
It was fun and kind of hilarious I took my friend it was the first time we ever been to Crazy Rays he went crazy I mean super duper crazy he never knew that you can get such good parts from a place like Crazy Rays he had a good time I had a good time laughing at him had to show him the ropes and after that I got everything I needed and we was out is no time cant wait for my next visit peace yall
Car parts at a cheap price. Check them out!!!
This is a junkyard. They dont keep an inventory which is good for people who are willing to put the extra elbow grease in and look for the part themselves. For everyone else who is too weenie to do the work yourself, the dealership counter will readily take your money.
So overpriced. Just go to a local yard and let LKQ go out of business. Buying new is actually cheaper now.
Left yard today around 11am..New woman at pay window is way better than the ones they used to have.. Very knowledgeable..curtious and polite..
New management is terrible.Entire staff not rude just the new people that new management hired. New management is rude do not know the first thing about the business. Always accusing the staff of stealing but he is the one that is stealing and the ones he is close to. One of the former employees had pictures and dates of the vehicles that he stole he gets a slap on the wrist and he set an employee up no proof of her stealing but corporate fire her. The towing what ever her title is Amy so call supervisor sit in Jason face all day they literally get paid for nothing till this day he is still stealing .$1500 dollars was missing Amy was the one responsible for money another slap on the wrist. Corporate has been contacted on things he does they do not care about the employees and definitely the customers
Nice place but ther websites are not up to date,, when it shows the car your looking for but you get there and its not there and the staff is Clueless
I go to find and pull my own parts or you can pay extra to have them pull it for you
Great yard, well organized. Find a nice van to sit in and then you could just sit back and people watch all day, there are plenty of characters around!
Its a JUNKYARD, people! Are you expecting tennis courts and a concierge?!? For a junkyard, they do a fine job. They do their best to prop up the cars for easy access. Cars are arranged by manufacturer, and they are constantly pulling out old stock and bringing in new stuff. They have wheelbarrows to borrow as you wander around. Yes, the staff is as ghetto as you can get, because they just cant keep doctors and lawyers on staff AT THE JUNKYARD. Pay yer dollar and quit-yer bitchin !
Scheduled For My Car To Be Picked Up Today. And The Driver Would Not Take My Car Because I Made A Mistake And Told Him I Had A 2006 Nissan. And I Have A 2005 Nissan What Is The Difference. He Has To Do The Same Exact Job Which Is Take The Car. So I Was Told I Have To Reschedule. After I Drove 30mins To The Destination Because I No Longer Live At That Residence. Time And Gas Wasted For Nothing.
I wish I read the reviews before I wasted a whole day waiting for someone to come & pick up my old car. I called 5 times and were told someone would be here today by 5pm. I called at 5:00p and was told they are still coming. Its currently 6:25P and no one is here! I am disgusted with the level of customer service and truly disappointed that my whole day was wasted!
They had just what I needed the price was right I was in an out quick thank you crazy rays.
Ever wonder what its like to immerse yourself in an episode of The Wire?
You need to know what your looking for and if skill is in your favor then your ahead of the game .There is help if your willing to pay the people who pull parts.
Im appreciative of their service ☝
Had my car and parts, beautiful day, what more coul a do-it-yourselfer want?? Someone to do the actual labor free of course but, that wont happen in this lifetime but, we could suggest they employ fulltime mechanicsand charge a little more at the door and half price labor for ANYTHING. Get it, half of the commercial labor cost for any and all work perfomed on our vehicles using LKQ pulled parts. If we ALL suggest it, they will make it happen!!! $ERIOU$LY!!!
If you close as 4:30 change your posted hours to 4:30. I wasted so much time to get here just to be told they closed already.
Parts are way too expensive more than new. I was there looking for a radiator and lucky I found one for $56 so I didnt buy it... I bought it new on eBay for $40 think twice before you buy used parts. Stay away from this place.
Well below par. Was told that the 14 inch steel rim I needed would be sitting in a selection according to size/yr/make and model and already removed from the vehicle. Totally incorrect. Not reliable business at all. Would advise others not to do business with a below average, poorly run company.
Hello is the good place where you can find all the spare parts you need
The guy at the cashier station was knowledgeable and assisted me well above what i expected from a junkyard Similar with the other staff working the yard. I will definitely return and recommend this place.
Overheard a couple of the Caucasian staff members making racist comments while standing outside smoking cigarettes back to back. I went inside the junkyard to get my tire and when I came back out they were still smoking instead of assisting customers. Although there have been some improvements made within the junkyard itself, the overall quality of those staff members that I encountered outside was a little off putting and made me quite uncomfortable especially because I am the foster parent of an African American child and my son has to grow up in a world with people who are as ignorant as they are. They say that you shouldn’t judge people by their profession but those junk people with those junk minds belong in that junkyard.
When the company was sold everything went downhill, new management has jacked up all the prices and gives you basically nothing for cars. Scrap yards pay more for cars than they do by A LOT. Customer service is bad. Dont go here many other solid places in the city to go than this s hole.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Crazy Rays on Erdman Ave in Baltimore was supposed to pick up my vehicle between 8 and 5 today. I was told I would be called when they are 1/2 hour out. I called them at a little before 5 when I had not heard from anyone, and got no answer. Called the 800 number for LKQ and was told the truck had been dispatched and was on the way. Still nothing at a little before 6, so I called the 800 number again. This time I was told that the truck had broken down and would not be able to get my car today. They said that they could not even make me the first pickup in the morning, but rather that I would have to wait until Friday. It is unbelievable that I was never called at any point in this process AND that they wont make me the 1st pickup tomorrow. This is TERRIBLE customer service.
Service was quick and fast. They bought my car from me within 4 mins.
They dont keep an inventory of the lot. I couldnt even finish my sentence asking the question before they jumped in with the response. Their only suggestion was I would have to come in. As with other reviewers, not knowing the make/model of the cars on the lot could mean you get lucky or waste a significant amount of time.
Where do I begin...ok...Crazy Rays use to give 350-400$ for a complete vehicle, didnt even have to run. Anyways today I call them, and find out its LKQ now, I have a 2005 Buick LeSabre, that actually still runs and is In decent shape still, I just need to get rid of it...so I call to see what theyre offering for cars...the lady told me...145$!?!?!?!? Ahaha...this place is a FN ripoff...do not sell them ANYTHING. I asked her, is that a joke??, it must be a joke, 145????
Found some of what i needed and saved a nice piece of change.
Online inventory listing was accurate which helped me get the part i needed.
Worked as advertised. Looked over the car and paid what they said they would. Helpful staff.
Need a hood, rim or door? They’ve got it all and much much more. Need a part you can’t find, you’ll seize it here and don’t get behind!.
A few times a year I would take a weekend day and travel over 2 hours to visit all the crazy rays yards. What drew me to Crazy Rays was the price list they all go by... good prices that I would know up front. However, the past two times Ive taken my trip Ive been charged far different prices for the exact same item at separate yards. The folks at the checkout counter will add bogus charges to get as much money out of you as possible. I buy a bumper at Jessup and its $43, the exact same bumper at Erdman is $65. Erdman charged me for bumper brackets that didnt exist. The woman would give no explanation, just saying thats the price she has to charge. Chrome steel wheels at Mount Airy were $14, at Edgewood the same wheels cost $22 because they charged me for hubcaps. Right on the receipt they listed hubcaps. I said Id like to return the hubcaps then (its a solid steel wheel) and the woman told me they have to charge that price because the steel is shiny and has holes in it.Im not an idiot. I know automotive parts very well. I can clearly see when Im being taken advantage of. If I dont know what Im going to be charged when I get to the checkout counter then theres no point in me traveling to Crazy Rays. Ill be sticking to the junkyards closer to home from now on.
Excellent source for vehicle parts. Sometimes the prices are too high, but sometimes they are dirt cheap!
This place is an absolute joke. Arranged for a vehicle to be picked up and gave me an 8-12 window, called them around 11 and they said that theyll be there. At 12:30 I called back and they said they need to reschedule due to 3 drivers calling out and when I asked why didnt they just tell me that when I called they just basically said not our problem sorry and they assured me that when I rescheduled it would definitely be picked up. So, today was the reschedule date and they once again did not show, I called 5 times, 2 of the times they said they were on their way, so I had to rush over to the house where the car is bc I dont reside there and never showed and when I called and asked what was going on the woman said that they actually were never on their way over. Just called and spoke to a manager who basically said tough luck and tried to get me to reschedule for another week from today. I told her that we need to get this vehicle out of here to avoid a fine from the county and still nothing. She didnt care at all. All employees were very rude and unwilling to assist me in anyway.
They need to have a price list posted so that they dont have to make prices up as they b doing they know thats not the way to do business...........Those new owners b trying to get over..............
Im looking for a part that is very hard to find. I hear through the grapevine that they have the car I am looking for. I call up there and explain that I would be coming a long ways to get this part and ask if they even have the car in stock. Lousy, lazy excuse for an employee cuts me off and tells me Im going to have to come in and look for myself and nobody will tell me if they even have that car. I wont suggest them to anyone.
Great app save a lot of time.
There online Inventory is way off
Crazy Rays is a hit or miss old school junk yard like the ones I grew up with in Jersey City. If you want to take a shot at finding what you need, Carzy Rays is a viable choice. You can show up with your own tools, and if lucky, and I mean VERY lucky, find the car youre looking for and start pulling parts. BRING cash for the entry fee and they dont make change! Prices for the pulled parts are a roll of the dice. And expect a pat down when leaving their premises. The junk yard is HUGE so plan on spending a lot of time searching for the car you are looking for. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes and clothing that you dont care about getting dirty. Some sort of travel cart is advised for schlepping your tools around and for whatever parts you make be lucky enough to find. Dont call to inquire about the availability of a part or certain car. Its chaos! Youll see when you get there. Or even better, Google Crazy Rays and select the satellite feature and youll see what I mean.Be advised that its NOT the safest place to walk around either. I had to keep an eye on the Massive car-carrying fork lifts that are always on the move. I also had to squeeze between and around cars because the isles are not isles. Also make sure that it has not rained in a while before you visit; envision the La Brea Tar Pits. And bring water if its going to be hot. However, if youre looking for a place that has a pleasant, helpful and courteous human-like staff. Then Crazy Rays aint the place for you. The people at the front desk with whom Ive dealt with are worse than the stereotypical sadistic movie prison guard whos having a perpetually bad day with no one else but you to take every possible opportunity to abuse, ignore and ridicule like the fresh meat inmates first day in prison.Dont expect to exchange civilized greetings. Youre ALREADY supposed to know the contradictory and convoluted information posted on the intentionally inconspicuous signs, that are gestured to in lieu of a response, but your are guaranteed to receive a beratement if you do have a question about the disinformation in the sign. In short, animals in a zoo are more civilized. With all the complaints, one would think that the management would make changes. But clearly the management does not care about what their patrons think.Like someone else posted, Crazy Rays is a pull and pay junk yard. Theres plenty of junk one can get from dealing with Crazy Rays even if you dont find the parts you were looking for. Cheers!
Fairly organized compared to junk yards in the past
This place, Services as a whole sucks! I dont see how it is still open. TERRIBLE customer service. On the phone spoke to 5 different people no one remembered taking any info from me AND i had my confirmation number! So i missed a day from work thinking these geniuses were coming to pick my truck up... Just make this your LAST option for anything if u can!
If you want to have fun go! If your a stick in the mud this is not the place for you!
I could pay 2 something or even 500 as I have before or just pay $25 like Aamco probably did in the 1st place
Picked the air compressor I needed, turns out I picked wrong model. They let me go back and exchange it for another for no charge. That was my first experience pulling parts from a junk yard, and looking forward to being a return customer.
