Our fridge had more or less died on us and the evaporator, compressor, and heat exchanger all needed to be replaced. ABW was great to deal with - once scheduled, they were able to make the repairs within a few hours.Not only was the main office great to work with, but the technicians were a dream to deal with as well. They were so pleasant, wore shoe coverings, masks, laid out a blanket to place all tools and parts on, and called when they were about 15 minutes out. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

After a very negative experience with a big box store Cummins/ABW was a welcome change. Sales was straight forward. I was advised as to what was in stock and available. Sale price was excellent and delivery scheduled for less than a week. Delivery experience was truly 5 star. Constant text contact for twenty four hours before delivery. Delivery tracker was great. Delivery men knew what they were doing. New refrigerator was in and set up and the old fridge out the door quickly. Well done!

Waste of time and money here, purchased in stock washer for delivery- was told would be delivered within a week- didn’t happen! They took my money quick then disappeared… It’s been over 2 weeks, no washer, no refund, no phone call. If I could give 0 stars I would. Save yourself from the stress and don’t waste your time here.

We were very lucky to work with Howard Cummins and the team when it came time to replace our very old double oven. The key to success for our renovation was the teams expertise matching the new oven to the cabinetry of our kitchen. The excellent delivery and installation team (thank you, Alex and Sean) shaved the interior of our just too small cabinet to allow a full size brand new KitchenAid to fit perfectly. It was labor intensive and well within the expertise of this very helpful, professional team. Thank you, Cummins Appliances!

I only buy appliances at Cummins. I have been shopping at Cummins since 1976 when I moved into my house and continued when I moved into the condo. Their service is the best. They have their own techs so someone can come out the next day if there is a problem. Ive even had a tech show up the same day. It doesnt any better then that.

Overall: DISAPPOINTING!!!The experience (Wednesday, May 12, 2021) has left me feeling disrespected (as if I wouldn’t realize that something was missing) and victimized. The leader (JIMMY) of the removal (of the old washer)/install (of the new) crew arrived on time as outlined by the updating text messages I was receiving. So far, the experience was fine.I could hear JIMMY and his partner disconnecting my old washer as I sat in the main room of my basement (per the text for COVID protocol to remain a room away from the installers). Minutes later, the partner and JIMMY emerged from my washroom carrying my old washer using shoulder straps. The partner was backing up towards the doorway of the cellar-way (with JIMMY opposite him on the other side of the washer they carried). As the partner stepped from the main room into the cellar-way (just as the old washer was in the door frame) he stopped and said something to JIMMY that I could not make out. JIMMY halted. The partner was behind the washer out of my view sitting there, just inside of the cellar-way. The partner lowered his end of the old washer quickly, causing JIMMY to lean down and forward. After about 30 or so seconds the partner said something in Spanish, lifted his end of the old washer and began turning the old washer to go up the steps of the cellar-way (a tight 3.5ft. x 3.5ft. area). They proceeded to remove the old washer.I noticed that the drain cover (old, rusted cover) was missing from the drain that I had cleared for the men to work. When JIMMY re-entered my basement through the cellar-way entrance, I asked him if they had removed my drain cover. JIMMY stated, “No. We don’t need that. It may be out there somewhere.” I walked over to the cellar-way entrance and pointed to show JIMMY that the drain was not there anymore and that I knew it was there about 10 minutes ago when I picked up the litter and swept the leaves to the side. JIMMY repeated that they had not removed the cover.JIMMY and his partner went on to retrieve my new SAMSUNG washer from their truck and place it in my washroom. JIMMY came out of the washroom with his partner and re-installed my security door and then the interior door. After that, they both went in to my washroom and proceeded to install my new washer. I searched the area of the cellar-way, again. No drain cover was out there. I went up the stairs from the cellar-way and looked around at the top and upper level where I saw JIMMY placing the screws during the removal of my basement doors earlier – no drain cover was there.I asked the partner if he removed the drain cover that I know was there prior to their removal of my old washer and the install of the new washer. He stated, “No. I have nothing.”I returned to my basement cellar-way stairs, looking one last time to see if I missed the cover under some of the leaves that remained in the cellar-way. No cover was there. When I returned to my seat in the main room of the basement, about 3 minutes later, JIMMY came out of my washroom and stated that the new SAMSUNG washer was installed, no leaks where found, and to let the new washer run for about 10 minutes (he had started a Quick-Wash to flush the new washer for me). The owner’s manual was left on top of the washer.I asked JIMMY to see if his partner accidentally removed the drain cover and if they could please return it. JIMMY said he would ask him. As he left out of the basement doors into the cellar-way, JIMMY kicked around a few leaves in the cellar-way (appearing to look for the missing drain cover) and proceeded to go up the stairs. No drain cover anywhere.My family home’s drain cover had been in the cellar-way for over 50+ years. Now – no drain cover. I guess the new SAMSUNG washer will be great. But, the whole experience has altered my feelings about Cummings/ABW (Cummings has sold my family a new refrigerator and induction oven over the past 8 years). Beware of this senseless thing happening. Just DISAPPOINTING!!!

Contacted the store via text on a Tuesday. Got a very quick response from Howard Cummins. He a answered my questions, took my credit card number, and arranged delivery for the following Monday. Couldn’t have been any easier and his price for my appliance matched the big retailers. Delivery also went exactly as planned. 2 guys came and had to remove a downspout in order to get to the basement door. They were careful to put it back exactly as it had been before. They were friendly and efficient.

I called numerous businesses, and even tried facebook market place, searching for a chest freezer. I found this amazing company and they told me to put a deposit down and that my freezer would be delivered to their store within 2 weeks. They did not disappoint. Top Notch! We were shopping for a washer. At a friends recommendation, I tried Cummins. I called Jeff a couple of times and he was very helpful answering my questions about various washers. He gave me price quotes and, yes, we shopped around. Cummins matched big box stores and were actually cheaper in the long run because their reasonable delivery charge includes everything - set up, remove the old washer, new hoses. We went into the store, looked at the washer we wanted, filled out the paperwork and were gone in ~30 minutes. Delivery was set for 2 days later. They said theyd deliver between 11:00 and 2:00. The guys showed up at 11:50 and were gone by 12:15. Their work was great, neat and clean. We wont shop anywhere else.

Im taking away prior stars for Cummins. When a problem comes along. Cummins washes his hands of it and tells you go tell it to GE, good luck, not my problem. Instead of a refund after agreeing to deliver a less expensive appliance, Cummins manipulates the price with a surprise restocking fee and claiming the price went up that day so that it came out to the penny, zero due back. How convenient for Cummins, but also incredulous. Cummins always blames the customer. Cummins says customer doesnt understand and we do everything right. I understand just fine. When it comes to customer service, Cummins rates no stars from me.

Dan spent a ton of time with us to help us decide what works best from many options available in the store. Afterward he went out of his way to work with GE to get us exactly what we needed. You can not get this kind of service and selection from Home Depot. I highly recommend them.p.s. Always do your own gas leak test (with a $20 sniffer) after any gas appliance installation.

I regret initially going to Lowes for a washer dryer install. It was a disaster that ended in a full refund, but two months of a waste of time and no washer dryer. Cummins came to our home shortly after, measured the space, give us suggestions and recommendations and we had a washer dryer installed and delivered by the end of the week. Better quality, same price, and faster service that was never outsourced. I wish we had gone to Cummins first and will use them in the future prior to going to the big department stores.

We would like to compliment your service man whose name is George. He serviced us two times recently due to poor oven temperature control on our 20 year old Magic-Chef electric range. Unfortunately, the oven temperature controller was bad, rather than the thermostat. He answered a lot of questions that we had about various ranges, when it became clear that we should probably replace the existing range. He said that the GE Profile Dual-Fuel range would be good choice it we decided to go to gas. Also, that an electric oven had much better control than a gas oven. George happened to be in the store when we were there, and he came to us to ask about our decision. Based on his comments, that became our choice. Please pass on to George that his service customer, now has the GE dual-fuel ranges. George is a credit to Cummins Appliance.

We had a serious problem with an appliance we bought from Cummins. And only a few weeks after the warranty expired! The scheduled service call did not go as expected (it wasnt fixed) and we called the service manager, Tom, to discuss the situation. Instead of being helpful, Tom was immediately defensive, arrogant and belligerent towards us and actually blamed us! Apparently the service manager does not understan the meaning of the word service! Needless to say we are not doing any further business with Cummins; even though it means buying a brand new appliance only a few weeks after the warranty expired on the one from Cummins.

I needed a washer and dryer that could handle heavy/bulk items. The owner of the store sold me a very expensive Maytag washer and dryer that cannot handle bulk items. It takes hours to do a load of laundry--and sometimes the machines stop in mid-cycle. I called twice for advice and was told to change a setting to fix the problem. The second time I was told to call Maytag. The owner even suggested I use my other washer/dryer in the basement!!! They actually work way better than these tecnologically-burdened hunks of junk..and they were 1/3 the price. But who wants to carry laundry up and down three flights of stairs? This guy is a salesman. Never again.

We had bought a stove which after 9 months had a problem. The manufacturer did try, but they were unable to find repairer. They ofered to send us a new stove. But as it is heavy as well as gas; that did not help much.Then we thought to contact Cummins. Problem solved. The had stove sent to them, they came out took old stove installed new one.They were wonderful. Our family had dealt with them for years. Only reason we did not call them earlier was the manufacturer was really working with us, but finally we contacted Cummins.

Cummins Appliance sold me a refrigerator in July of this year that was dented. Various staff members and the owner Howard Cummins have been telling me for months that they are going to get me a new door yet they have not been able to deliver on this. I have had to waste a lot of my time calling in expressing my frustration and I still have not received the door that Ive been promised. Do not be tempted to use this business because of any deals they may offer you. You will surely regret it when you realize how awful their customer service is. The owner tells me hes going to follow up with his manufacturer liaison and then does not get back to me. I leave messages with the secretary of the business for the owner and he does not call me back. It is very apparent that they are not interested in giving me the product that I paid for but rather leaving me with a dented refrigerator and a sour impression of their company. I repeat do not even consider buying appliances from Cummins Appliance, go to BestBuy or another large distributor of appliances because theyll actually have good customer service.

This is how we currenly cook with our $6000 Thermador induction cooktop purchased from Cummins Appliance. (Note the perpetual error message on the cooktop.) We use two $39 Nuwave portable induction units instead of our Thermador because Cummins has been unable to repair our unit since the summer of 2017 when it began malfunctioning. It is now February 2018, and I just got off of the phone with the owner of Cummins Appliances and he is still waiting for a part, a wire, that they cant find anywhere, either at Thermador or Cummins to repair my unit. Cummins repair technicians have been to my house more than 6 times in an attempt to repair the unit, but each time have been unable to figure it out. I now make a weekly call to the owner of Cummins to check the status of my repair and each week there is a new excuse about why they cant get the part from point A to point B in order to make my unit functional again. The obvious solution is to give us a NEW REPLACEMENT UNIT. Instead we have endured Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years events cooking on the Big Green Egg and two portable induction units while we wait and wait and wait for Cummins to remedy the situation. I do believe that the owner of Cummins is trying his best. I believe that the service technicians are also trying their best. Unfortunately, Cummins best has been unsatisfactory, so far. As of 2/8/2018 we are still waiting on Cummins to make good on their warranty. If you are serious cooks and depend heavily on your appliances to function on a daily basis, you might want to consider an alternative to Thermador Induction Cooktop and/or alternative appliance store who can keep it working.

My uncle recommended this place to me and enough cannot be said about the service I received! I ordered a whirlpool WFW85HEFC washer and WED92HEFC dryer that was price match with competing store prices! Dan Froling was very responsive and easy to communicate whether it was over email or phone. Dan also gave us insight on the best time to buy the washer and dryer (around presidents day). After purchasing Dan made sure the delivery was scheduled accordingly. The only thing I was not aware of and forgot to ask about was the correct carpet protection when the installers brought the machine in the house. Every case being different we had carpeted steps that needed to be utilized to get the machine to the correct destination. We ended up using the product carpet-shield from home depot. Cummins Appliances will forever be the only place we purchase appliances from and will surely be the only recommendation we give to our family and friends.

Major dissapointment with service department. On July 12, 2016 I had my sixth visit for the same problem with my stove vent. Again, they did not correct the problem and left me with a broken pop up stove vent stuck in the upright position. This problem has been ongoing since April 2016. The Service Manager has been downright unresponsive to my needs and communication has been non-existant unless I initiated it. Zero Stars. I had to give one star to activate the post button. Please disregard the star review level.Run from this vendor.

Bought new Friedrich 10000 btu a/c unit. Cummings confirmed it was dead on arrival and had hard time replacing because of the store policy not to replace once removed from box and installed. Returned and replaced with a bigger 12000 btu unit. Out of box the unit had a noisy motor and fan. Cummings came out again, repaired this problem but caused damage to the coolant lines and raidator which impacted cooling performance. This was confirmed by another authorized Friedrich repair service for the unit. Cummings has yet to take this damaged unit by them back and refund the money....Update...after much hasdle..they finally refunded the money for the second defective unit...BUT...the cost to have another verified service company ($125) to come out and verify the damage to the second unit wasnt covered by Friedrich or Cummings even though the factory authorized another repair service to verify the damage caused by the Cummings repair... Id avoid both Cummings and Friedrich altogether...neither are reliable...

I purchased a renovated home from a CDC in Baltimore. Cummins Appliance supplies all the appliances for renovations done by the CDC. In my purchase agreement with the CDC I negotiated an upgrade in appliances; however the CDC required me to buy the upgrades from Cummins. Service from Cummins has been horrible.1st they did not install the washer and dryer the way I asked them to – and they agreed to.2nd when they installed the gas range and did not install it correctly and gas was leaking. I called BGE – they sent a man out and he found the leak at the range connection point. I had to pay a handyman to fix the problem with proper pipe sealant.3rd when they installed the range they broke the electric receptacle and my handyman have to replace the receptacle. I found out about the receptacle because the range would work, then not work, repeatedly as the electric power came on and off. I am concerned that the installers may have caused the electronic controls of the range to be damaged.I called Cummins and spoke to Mr. Cummins, he told me they would not send out a repair person because they are not a certified repair representative for Samsung. He told me I had to call Samsung but relented when I told him I wanted him to come and get the range and refund my money and said he would personally call Samsung and have them contact me.Samsung called me after a week or so. I told them my story and that I wanted a factory rep to come out and check the electronics on my range. Samsung told me they could send out a rep and if they found a problem it would be repaired free of charge under my guarantee; however if there were no problems I would have to pay for the service call (starting at $75). I asked to speak to a Samsung customer service supervisor. Several days later one called me, I repeated my story and got the same response. I asked to speak to the supervisors supervisor and was told one would call me. It has been several weeks and I have received no call back.
