Wrote a negative review about Fireplace & Grill Center about a month ago concerning the gas logs we had installed over two years ago. Finally have a good outcome to report. After being advised by the owner called the store and talked with Bill, the General Manager. Reminded him of the problem with the gas starter. He came by the house on his way to work about 2 weeks ago and as soon as he came into the house could hear the gas logs pilot light at the front door (about 35 from the fireplace). He attempted to adjust the pilot without success. He called me back from the store and said he would send out one of their service/installation techs to replace my starter valve. Dan, the service tech, came by this morning and within about 15 minutes had it working well (silently). Hopefully this will be a permanent fix. Definitely recommend them.

They are in my neighborhood and I’m glad to patronize this business. They did an amazing job converting our wood burning fireplace to gas.The price was reasonable and the service was excellent.
They have a very good selection of gas logs. We have a see through fireplace that divides our great room. This was our first experience with gas logs. A couple of months after the installation (a couple years ago) I stopped by the store to talk with them about the logs and how noisy they were with just the pilot light going. They said its normal (Ive never heard anyone elses logs this loud). So being a gas log newbie I figured Id see if I could get used to it. I didnt. You can hear the pilot light 30 away with the glass fireplace doors closed. So I went back to the store last fall and told them that the problem was still going on with the pilot light. Our salesperson said it was a minimum of $150 service call to check it out. This has been an issue since day one. Not acceptable.

I dont usually do reviews, but these guys are awesome. They were super-helpful when we were having troubles. The fireplace wasnt even purchased from them. They patiently answered questions and helped us solve the problem. All my business goes to them now.
Horrible experience-their product did not pass a final inspection. Bill-the general manager-tried to explain that I was told on day 1 that they do not run gas lines in Creve Coeur because of the permits. After several phones calls with them, I can assure anyone that I had no idea this was the case. Otherwise, I would have called any other fireplace installer. The gas line was installed by spire and a separate technician from this business came out and charged $300 to hook up a fireplace. After they came, I called and asked to make sure that all was ok. After a final inspection, it turns out that it wasn’t. There needs to be a shut off valve 6 feet away from the fireplace. Why a technician sent out from their office didn’t bother mention this, I have no idea. Also, Bill, the manager of the Ballwin location, told me after I called in asking about this that the sales representative informed me on day 1 that they don’t install in Creve Coeur. That is not true and if that were the case, why was an install scheduled for my house IN CREVE COEUR by this company? This is inexcusable. Go literally anywhere else, especially if you want to be up to code in Creve Coeur.

I had an issue with my gas fireplace so I called Fireplace & Grill Center to schedule service. Instead of going for a money grab, the person who answered the phone patiently walked me through how to solve the issue. He was so incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We fixed it together over the phone. I am very thankful for such great service! Will definitely use them for future purchases and needs!

Just moved into a house and couldnt get the gas fireplace to light, so I called these guys. The man I talked too knew what the problem was immediately and told me how to fix it while he stayed on the phone. Two minutes maybe and I have a working fireplace! Guess where I will I will take my business when I start looking for a grill?
