I ordered a Christmas gift to be delivered to my home. I paid an additional $5.00 for what was supposed to conceal what was being sent. I expected my purchase to come in a box so it would not be obvious what I had ordered. It came in white plastic wrap. A blind man could have guessed what it was. Definitely not pleased.

We used to be Lowes folks until we dropped by here last Saturday. They have everything from tile to groceries. Each of the interior construction sections along the left side of the store has a nice green neon sign above. There is a wide variety of cabinets and appliances in the back and a grocery area in the middle in case you missed something at the market. The patio furniture and garden selections are both quite extensive. Menards is always running deals like their 11% rebate on everything. Needless to say, we have hopped on the Menards bus.

Menards initially told me Id be paying a 25% restocking fee on a large purchase b/c I found out I needed a smaller wood stove than anticipated, I attempted to cancel the day after ordering. They made it right after I lit the email on fire, so I think that calls for a review revision considering they were willing to work with me there as a very inexperienced wood stove buyer. Still not too hot though that they charge this large of a fee when you need to return an order (it wasnt even a custom order, just the regularly listed wood stove), 5% maybe reasonable but 25% is crazy, and not too hot on the fact that I had to fight like I did to get it made right. Ill give them another shot though.

I ordered a bathtub surround in June. Didnt get here until October. Not this stores fault, supply chain issues, fine, whatever.I did return it to this store because the shower surround was damaged on arrival. The return process is ridiculous. Enter the front door, get a pink slip, drive through a security gate to the back, wait. Help the worker unload the returned item, get an autograph on your pink slip. Drive back to the front, go back through the front door. A half hour later - and they can only give me STORE CREDIT because its past 90 days since purchase.Well Menards, I may have ordered this bathtub surround 90 days ago but it took yall over 90 days to fulfill it. That sounds like a YOU problem, not a ME problem. Maybe I wouldve returned my *damaged* product sooner if I had it sooner.

Save big money! Start a rewards card instead of mailing receipts. They only offer the 11% to draw you in and then 80+% of people dont mail in the receipts to get the rebate. Other than that this place is awesome

Cashier was busy talking to another employee before she even knew I was waiting in her line. The cashier said nothing to me. Never even said what the total amount due was. I looked at the screen for amount then paid. Waited for my receipt then left. The store was not busy.

This was my first visit to Menards. A very impressive store to say the least. Clean organized with a ton to look at.

Looked online for a specific spray paint, found 9 cans at Manchester location through the website. After getting to the store I was not finding it. A very polite-helpful Caucasian male employee who seemed to work in paint department saw my struggling search for a exact paint to finish my bathroom. He Quickly found Exactly what I needed!

It is so dangerous for me to come here because I have a use for ever single item throughout the entire store.....so I walk around aimlessly for an hour stuck in a trance or just drawing a complete blank as to what I should purchase...I didnt show up with a plan because I was just returning something then leaving....yeah right...que the random hour of just grabbing things and putting things back over and over, until I have a random collection of merchandise that equals almost what I have on the giftcard they gave me for my return....heres some of what I got in one of the pics I posted with this rating....have a good menards. 🙂🙀🙂🙀☺️

Collection and organization of this store is pretty good. One issue I have is the aisle location on the phone app not always synchronous with the actual location, especially seasonal stuff. However employees are very helpful finding you your stuff.

Cannot judge Menards too hard, because I didn’t buy anything while here. Just came here to look at an air conditioning unit. The store was clean. Nobody offered to help us find air conditioning units, so was lost for a little while. We asked the guest services if they could refer us to someone who could install one. They said that we could call the department and they could recommend us to someone locally. We did find that a portable air conditioner was cheaper than a window unit.

This is a great store. Very clean. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking and they have an awesome Thyssenkrupp hydraulic elevator as well!!

Looked all over for flat blue cart to carry 4x8 boards none around, even went to parking lot. Asked customer service couldn’t find any either . Had to load 4x8 sheets on vertices cart. Twice as much work for no reason.

We are here at least 2-3 times a week. Always have what we need and we love their rebate program. Its a great incentive to come in verse Lowes or Home Depot

Well where to start . this was my second visit different location than the first.so was optimistic. I wanted to go to the garden department which was the far right of the store to save time I fallowed several people in the out door and was turned away .your store had a better selection on the website for flowers and bushes my husband had given me a thousand for such purpose but I came in the wrong door was stoped and was embarrassed the greater only stoped me there were 3 men I fallowed in. This is twice I have been treated rude at your locations would have been a good sale but, 2 strikes your out .

Good lumber selection, but everything else leaves something to be desired. Go to Lowes or home Depot if need tools or other hardware products. At least they have a grocery department lmao

Its menards? Typically well stocked and clean, friendly staff. Tool quality is low but so are costs, so 3 of a junk tool for same price as 1 quality tool works out if you only need the tool a couple times.

Some things are really good...some, not so good. Friendly service. Huge selection. Some things have decent pricing...especially off brands. A great source for my specialty dog food, few others carry. But some things you wonder why they carry...like food. Despite that, check it out. You might be surprised at things you can find here.

Great store with great employees. Prices are really good. Ive bought a lot during a rehab and would appreciate a return policy that would use my credit card that was used for purchases used also for returns without a receipt like HD does.

We had a terrible experience while looking at doors. There was an employee working in that department- an older gentleman with grey/white hair and no name badge. He was incredibly rude. We walked around looking for someone to assist us for nearly 20 minutes. We saw this man several times with another customer, even making eye contact several times and trying to ask if there was someone working in the door dept or if he could call someone else. He plainly ignored us until he finally blurted out I AM BUSY. We had no idea he even worked in that area as they were off to the side. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not necessary at all. This location has always been lower on the list with customer service in our region but this was entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. No customer deserves to be talked to like that or entirely dismissed/ignored when they are coming to spend several hundred dollars, or more, when there is a Lowes and Home Depot within minutes of this location. Super unfortunate. We canceled our Menards Credit Card years back because of customer service problems at this location and now that we are starting a remodel project we thought we would give it another shot. Manchester Menards wasted our time and clearly does not want our business.

Its fine; one could theoretically go Ron Swanson and do most of ones shopping there. The major drawback is a lack of people to help you find the smaller, less prominent items.

Mark was extremely helpful in providing a price quote and adding a few suggestions for our new counter top installation. He couldn’t have been nicer. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. great overall experience. I will forever be a menards customer!

Good Selections for decorating on a budget. Great prices. And we enjoyed the extra 11% off everything! They Cleaned between each customer and made sure everyone had mask.

Manager was very useless. Website said they had three boxes of patio chairs. Only had One. Manager did not offer any help to get another box. Offered us to take floor model for the same price as new.

The people inside were extremely rude and unhelpful. They told me I had to go pick my order that I waited 2 months for.

The Manchester store is a mess. The sliding screen doors were sitting all over, many damaged. They had no prices, bar codes and parts were just taped to the frame. I took a picture of the sign to show at checkout to help with pricing. The man at the checkout looked at the pictures, measured the door, and then for 17 mins looked at his cell phone and never called the dept for assistance all the while the line was backing up. When I told him just forget it he looked relieved. The store manager was busy and the front end manager just said sorry. I have never seen a place that didnt want to sell their merchandise. Thank goodness Home Depot doesnt run their business that way. Their doors were $10 cheaper and they offered help to carry it out.

Truck rental a really good deal, even if you keep it a few hours

I have never had a worse experience at a home improvement store in my entire life. I was in there for 2 hours getting sent in every direction and every corner of the building. Was told this is not my department and I dont really know by numerous people. I do not suggest going to this location or maybe even Menards in general. These people are ill-equipped and uneducated.

Always find what were looking for.. and then some. Employees, on the floor, arent overly friendly, but the checkout employees are always nice and get you out quickly. Clean store. Will definitely be back!

This Menards is much larger the one in my hometown of Rolla. I walked in and found exactly what I needed and during my journey through the store looking at items that I was interested in and many friendly workers greeted me along the way. This is a big store (and thats an understatement) and youre likely to find what you need. Ask somebody if you cant find it because its probably here. I like looking at the new items that are out and in doing so it gives you ideas you may not have thought of whether its a project or something needed for a repair. But this store was immaculate with very friendly workers that are ready to help. When Im up in the greater St. Louis area, this is the only Menards I go to because of the selection. Happy shopping!

This location is always great to visit. Clean and orderly and the staff is always pleasant.

It was ok. Didnt really find what we where looking for. Did get a few things for the garden. It would really be great if they would let up on the mask requirement.

I’ve been shopping at Menards for about 5 years. At first I was impressed because of the selection, but now after buying multiple products I have learned certain ones are the cheapest quality possible such as lightbulbs. I’ve never experienced so many issues with LED lightbulbs as I have with the Feit Electric. I’ve had some of them last only a couple weeks. I’ve had issues with other brands from Menards and plumbing parts etc. I’m not impressed with the quality and I don’t want my projects to fall apart just a couple years down the road.

Came here because lumber was cheaper than lowes, absolutely will never return. Had to go to the back of the store to order my wood, they wanted SKU numbers which I didnt have because I wasnt expecting this. They print off my sheet, I go back to the front to pay, THEN I have to drive my truck around the back of the store and load the wood myself. First off, I asked 3 times for help because I could not find what I bought. The man who counts the wood before you pull out would not help me and told me to get a refund. $400 of wood and I had to get a refund because no employee would help me. I could have been in and out of lowes, instead of wasting my entire evening and STILL LEAVING WITHOUT WOOD!! horrible horrible customer service, store setup, everything about this place was difficult and I will never be returning. I will spend the extra money at lowes.

Their website claimed they had 2 different items in stock (8 of the first item, 13 of the second) and they were out of both. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.

I like that Menards give you rebates but you have to use them in store and shopping in their stores are a nightmare. They have the Silicone and Caulk mixed together. Everything is spread out so far and not where items should be. I hate shopping in their store. I would rather be able to shop online and use my rebates then have to go into another Menards to try to find something.

Mindy and Dan in the Delivery were great. Very helpful and professional. Had a hiccup on the original delivery date. I contacted Dan and he guaranteed that he would have my purchase delivered the next day by different guys. True to his word, I had my refrigerator the next day. The guys that delivered were cautious removing the old and bringing in the new so they wouldnt damage anything. I would recommend Menard s and the crew for anyone looking to purchase an appliance.

Great prices. They are on an 11% rebate kick but when they go back to their regular deals, there are some great savings to be had. Always have enough choice for cheaper than the competitor. Wide aisles. Friendly staff. I dont think you get the expertise of a big box competitor but they know their ways around the aisles.My only complaint is that some of their end cap and seasonal items are cheap in quality as well as price. The Christmas lights and wooden birdhouses, for example, have been made with cheaper products and failed to work in short time.Best of all is the return policy and procedure. All of your receipts can be printed right then and there, no need to save them. Thats perfect for the weekend warrior style customer. We tend to buy more than needed and return the extra.

I bought a Belkin electric fireplace January 2021.... The battle to get a simple remote control sent to my home is just incredible... The worst most unprofessional, lost, customer service rep I will ever experience in this lifetime.... Jason has completely worn me out.. My fiance is now making the phone calls... UPS has had a tracking number for almost a week ... My credit card size remote is still not in there hands? This babysitting job has been going over 5 months now!

Made two trips to Menards on Black Friday and I had an excellent experience on both trips. Every staff member was helpful and experienced enough to answer all of my questions. Menards was able to hold my purchases for pickup at a later time even on the black Friday sale items, that was very convenient for me. Great store, great associates, great experience!!

Checked item I was looking for on the web. There were supposed to be over 20 at this site. Got there and there was only 1. It was in their ‘barn’. It was poorly lit. The item was 12 foot long. It was hard to review the item looking for defects in the dark barn.

The only reason this store is getting one star is because Keith and Luis were incredibly helpful. The rest of the associates Steve and some others that just walked by were rude and know nothing about their products. When I asked for a manager, Donna just waved me to the side and said one will be there soon. She couldn’t be bothered to assist. Jacob told me he was a manager and I informed him of the great jobs by Luis and Keith but the rest weren’t competent. Save yourself the time and money when getting keys made. Go to a reputable hardware store with great customer service. I get the joy of now calling an 800 number to hopefully get a refund. Utterly disgusting and even more of a waste of time. The keys aren’t even remotely close to being correct.

Whatever you do, if contacting customer support by email, be prepared to wait about 2 weeks for a reply. Also, Menards does not offer a military discount on anything in their store. If you can find it at Lowes or Home Depot, buy it there. At least they offer us a military discount.

Found everything we needed.

I went out of my way to get a clearance item at this location. I was very pleased they had it in stock. At the checkout I made small talk after the cashier started scanning my items. Every response she had was negative. Her tone was depressed. The Menards Iusually frequent is very good about sanitation at the registers including the credit card terminal. The lady that checked me out did not clean anything while I was there. This combined with a negative demeanor would make anyone assume she hates her job. Not a great way to end my shopping experience at this location.

Everybody is friendly and helpful. I love shopping here.

Dont bother with online pickup. Anything big you have to pickup on your own without the pickup ticket guiding you at all to where it is. Lowes shows you the isle and section the item is right on their website. You need a theme park map to find anything at this place. For online orders youre better off wandering though the maze of isles and pick something out than finding the cheese that is the specific thing you ordered.No offense to the guys working in the online order section who were helpful and professional. This is all management design choices that make this process confusing and time consuming. I think Im done shopping here unless I absolutely have to.

Rented a truck today. Returned the truck, and had to wait 30+ minutes to return it. Lines, waiting for someone to check mileage. Then had to wait in line some more until someone was free to finish ch cling me out. Will not rent another piece of equipment from this place, ever

I rarely, if ever, write reviews but absolutely had to this time. HUGE shout out Greg the manager of the Ballwin Menards. When the ball was dropped and shower doors I had ordered were delayed he helped as if he had known me for years. The back story is that I had timed the bathroom remodel to be done before arm surgery. All went according to plan until the doors got delayed. He reordered them, followed up and called me with updates and even offered to throw them in his truck and bring them out to help me get it done. Long story short I literally got them installed the night before my surgery. He went the extra mile and exemplifies amazing customer service. Thanks Greg!!

Ordered on line and paid for a bunch of lumber. I called to asked when I could pick it up. They said anytime. I pulled around back and right up to each sized lumber bag and loaded what i needed and checked out when I left a lot easier then loading a dolly waiting in line to check out and then loading the truck

I have been going to Menards for years. Today I will never go in to a Menards store and buy one single item ever. I walk into the store pick out my purchase which was roughly $150. I go to the checkout put my items on the counter and the lady says sir I cannot check you out because you do not have a mask on I said a few Choice words and walked out and I will never go in a Menards store again

The window treatments department has so many manufacturer catalog that you must devote a good deal of your day finding your ideal selection.

Busy today, but everything was well stocked and employees were helpful and polite.

I will start by saying what a rude staff! I had a nose surgery and was in a nose cast and stitches up both sides of my face. I cannot wear glasses or a mask currently, doctors orders. A worker said if I didnt have a mask that she would personally follow me around the store and MAKE SURE I was not able to purchase my items. I just was approved 2 days before for a massive credit line on menards. Needless to say I will cut it up and go to home depot. Had no issues with home depot on this matter. Also had a doctors note but menards staff wouldnt even look at it. I will make sure it is my sole mission to bash menards to everyone I know! Also a combat vet speaking here.

I love this place! I can pick up things for home improvement, food and treats for my pets, bird seed and suet, home decor, and all at competitive prices. The aisles are also well spaced so I dont feel like im running into other shoppers.

This hardware stores a little different than others it has things like stuff for your car and toys. Its nice to have a variety of hardware stores to go see different brands and get best prices.

The folks in the flooring department were very helpful. I recommend that department.But we ordered custom cabinets and it has been a nightmare. Process wasnt bad at first but when the cabinets were delivered 2 of them were damaged. We were told to bring them back to the store to which it would be 6 to 8 weeks to get replacements. The replacements finally arrived...kinda. We got one of the replacement cabinets and it was again damaged but we decided to live with it and the other cabinet was just a cabinet door. We again talked to the store and they said they would reorder the cabinet. Three weeks go by and still no email. We talked to another associate at Menards and they assured us it would be ordered. We finally started talking directly to the Cabinet company. They sent another cabinet...well we think...it still has not arrived partly due to XPO home delivery.This has been an absolute fiasco. I do not recommend the cabinet department at this Menards.

I like it better than Lowes and Home Depot, but its much farther away.
