Took our mower to get worked on. Have had it sitting in our garage for almost ten years gathering dust because we couldnt get it to run. They let us know what the problems could be and general estimate of what it should cost. Left a $40 deposit. Was ready in the time estimate they gave and only cost an additional $26 dollar for a total of $66 dollar. Mower runs great. Would recommend Big Valley to anyone needing lawn equipment serviced.
5 Stars to Jeff & his son at Big Valley Mower, I am a 5 or 6 year customer & wouldnt take my lawnmower any where else. They are honest and quickly get my repairs completed on or ahead of schedule.

Dont waste you time there! Theyll gladly take your equipment, then give you attitude when you call for the status. Then they dont even call you back if theyre unable to fix your equipment. I lost weeks waiting for them.
Wow! A rototiller was taken there for a leaking gas tank line and was told that it would take a week to diagnose. No call, no diagnoses yet more than a month later. Tried calling and they state theyre swamped with business - - apparently either theyre extremely slow and are quoting people only a 4th of the time actually needed to just diagnose or, they simply dont care. Ive never heard of such poor service and will be picking up the unit and taking it elsewhere. Thanks for wasting my time and placing my project on an extended hold.
I hate to bag on people, im only posting this to save someone else the time and hassle - but this business has no service and could care less. i left a chainsaw there in good faith 3 months ago with an estimate of 2-3 week turn-around. after one month i began calling every week or so. only input i received (when i could get someone to answer the phone during business hours) was no it hadnt been fixed yet, no it hadnt been looked at yet, and no idea when it would. when i went to get it today to take it somewhere else, i happened to catch the owner - who didnt really apologize, didnt really care, only asked me what do you want me to do? - you can criticize me all you want - youre free to take it somewhere else.happy to do so. Please save yourself some time and hassle - dont use this business!!
Have had great service and received even better advise from these guys. Theyre even OK to help the do-it-yourselfer.
These people are Crooks! - They replaced a spring and did about ½ hour of minor stuff and charged $150 !!!!! What ?? Thats $300 an HOUR! Its a LAWN MOWER SHOP NOT A FREEKIN ROLLS ROYCE DEALERSHIP!!!When I complained about it, they refused to help me load the mower into my truck ! I had to ask another unfortunate victim (customer) there to help me . Really ??? What a bunch of LOSERS!!JUST BUY A NEW MOWER INSTEAD OF COMING HERE> IT WILL COST YOU THE SAME!... HELLO, and they didn’t even replace 1 of the screws holding the top cover on, so its loose now. What a terrible job, terrible attitude, and GREEDYbeyond belief...Go to the shop 1 block North of them, and save your money. You will thank me and yourself.
