Went to Jim Burke in June to purchase a leased truck and worked with Alex. He actually got us into a new lease and took good care of us.In July I talked to him about another truck and ordered one. Ive purchased a lot of cars in my life. I hate the process. I hate the back and forth with folks at the dealership. I hate waiting there. At this point in my life...if I have to be there longer than an hour...I wont bother. I know what I want and hate getting the run around. This is the normal feeling at most dealers (if not all) in California. I started my journey to purchase my first ever F150 Hybrid PowerBoost. Every single dealer was doing massive markups. Ridiculous at some points because there were plenty of trucks available. I just wanted a specific trim and color. After looking all the way in Reno NV for the lowest markup, I found something about a Jim Burke Ford dealer in Bakersfield. I sent a note and got a response from Hector. I triple looked at it and was shocked. Every single quote on the same type of truck (with less features) was close to 20k or 30k Out the door.... And to see a true to honest MSRP + tax (thanks Cali), I immediately told Hector that I wanted this truck. We dealt with everything via text. Everything got approved and was ready. I took the drive out to Bakersfield from LA (about 90 miles) and was met by Hector where my truck was waiting for me. I had never met Hector so I shook his hand and said...is that the truck? He responds with Yes, thats thats your truck. After that, everything was smooth and we just had to sign our paperwork and that was it. Hector is awesome and super busy so I do appreciate the time he took to explain some of the features and setup my Ford Pass on the truck. And I say hes busy in a very good way. Ive been at dealerships where salesmen are waiting for hours or people dont want to deal with them. Hector literally had people coming up to him thanking him on past purchases. Again, amazing. Everyone at the dealership was very nice and polite. Including the finance department! A+++++ all around. All dealers in general should learn from this dealership. Good and honest selling of vehicles will bring you more customers. Hector is a beast and im glad he helped me purchase my first F150 ever. I have been coming to this location for ten plus years. I’ve had multiple fords. I started taking my newest vehicle to this location and I’ve had multiple issues. I’ve been there 3-4 times doing brakes. There’s issues every time. My car is there for 8 plus hours each time. The manager is the only one that can seem to semi fix my issues. Everyone’s nice don’t get me wrong but I will never take my car there again. I will go to another dealership because I am over this. And today when I picked up my car I found a chip out of my windshield. I’m so unhappy and it really ruins my day off.

My service appointment today was fast (and usually is), the staff are always friendly & helpful, and the lobby is a comfortable waiting place. They do a great job on my car at reasonable prices. They recommend the services that are truly needed and don’t push any that aren’t.
I have purchased multiple vehicles from Jim Burke and they have always treated us right. My most recent purchase was a 2021 Bronco Badlands 2dr, which was reserved 7/13/20, ordered 1/21/21, and delivered 10/22/21. I worked with Ryan Haught the entire process. Ryan kept me informed and answered any questions that I had during the entire process. They stated in the beginning that they would honor the MSRP and that there would be no additional dealer mark-up. After hearing horror stories of other dealers sticking it to customers by charging upwards of $10k on custum orders, I began to worry. Jim Burke stood by their word and did not add a single cent to the price. I now have my Bronco after a 15 month wait and the ease of the deal just made it that much sweeter.

Elmer at the service appointment coordinator office helped me with all the questions I had with what was going on with my f-150, he got my recalls and every concern I had with my truck, I know he’s not an advisor but the answers he was giving to my concerns shows he knows his way around cars. He was very friendly and helpful, I’ll definitely keep coming back here for service, wait times are long but that is to be expected with everything going on in the world you guys are still providing excellent service.

I may not be the best kempt guy in the world but they constantly treated me like I was a homeless threat and refused to help and told me to go to ford.com after I inquired about the possibility of buying a car. Will go out of my way to not go to this place if I end up getting the Ford I am considering.

I took my 2018 F150 for service and get my transmission looked at. Kaycee was my service writer and she took care of my truck and kept me updated daily and if she wasn’t there the other service writers kept me in the loop. The truck was don’t and ready to go in a few day (4). The trans shifted better than factory and I never had a four in my mind about hooking my toy hauler up and going camping the weekend after I picked up my truck. I am now a long term customer with them and will be for a life time. Thank you to the techs and the writers for everything you do.

Alan helped me on the phone, found my vehicle that I was inquiring about and placed a hold on it until I could get to the dealership since I was over two hours away. He arranged for the car to be cleaned, filled with fuel and moved into the shade with no obligation on our part. He informed salesman Hector about what we wanted and to be available. There was no back and forth over our trade in pricing. I brought in a quote I had got online and they honored that. We completed the paperwork and were on our way! we had missed a couple of items when unloading our trade in and Hector called us right away so we could return to get them without much delay. I was impressed with everyone we dealt with.

My wife and I stopped by on our way back to NorCal from L.A. because she has her heart set on a plug in Escape hybrid and wanted to see one in person. They did not have one on the lot, but Ryan took the time to search for one for her on our route home so we wouldnt waste our time stopping at other dealerships that didnt have one on site.In the meantime, I was outside drooling over the 2021 F150 King Ranch 3.5L Powerboost that was sitting outside. Ryan asked me if I wanted to check out the inside, and we ended up taking a test drive. We were in my 2016 F150 2.7L EB, and I asked what theyd give me as a trade in for my truck. We were able to agree upon a deal that I felt was fair and I was comfortable with, and we ended up driving home in my dream truck.The whole time, we felt no pressure, and Ryan was nothing but helpful. He was very knowledgeable of their products and was a pleasure working with. Even Chuy, the finance guy, was chill and great to work with.I highly recommend Jim Burke Ford. I bought a $40,000 f150 from them only a few months ago. Got sold on it being Ford certified. The third break light on the back had a bulb malfunction and melted. Despite the promised bumper to bumper coverage, it turns out this isnt covered. Its really only a power train warranty. Typical car sales bait and switch. This was my first purchase from Jim Burke and will also be my last. If the warranty is garbage anyway, I might as well buy from an independent used car lot where I dont have to pay enormous overhead in the purchase price. Very very disappointed.

I had never used Quick Lane before. I know cars and the mechanics of them so as watched, from a distance, I was happily impressed. The Technician was through, methodically, accurate and clean. I had the Works done, oil, filter and full inspection. My truck just hit 100k miles and the services they suggested were items I intended to have done anyway so they werent trying to sell my something that I didnt need. Using genuine Ford Parts provides confidence. Im going back tomorrow to have all the other items done. Highly recommended.

Decent service, wouldn’t work on price of vehicle at all, not even a military discount. Finance didn’t seem to know what they were doing, after I told them what needed to happen. Still waiting for my extra key to be shipped to me as promised. Absolutely avoid this place. I purchased a vehicle from them and it was delivered to me a couple hours away. They salesman was great however the paperwork was messed up among arrival. They contacted me informing me it has to be redone and sent back (sure no issue). Now I sent it back and missed a couple signatures which none of this was my fault in the first place. Now I’m being told if the paperwork isn’t returned to them in 72 hours the vehicle will be repo’d. Again the paperwork issue wasn’t even remotely my fault it was the incompetent finance department. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Getting service at Jim Burke Ford makes me feel like Im a burden being begrudgingly accommodated. I just took my Escape in for its first service and had a couple of things I wanted checked out but that didnt happen. My past few new vehicles have been Toyotas, I knew Toyota service was easy to use and just assumed all dealers were as user friendly. At Toyota you pull into THE service center, check in with a service rep who notes your concerns. Staff takes your car to the different shops while you either enjoy coffee and donuts in their lounge or are shuttled to work or home. At Jim Burke the customer gets to transport their vehicle between the different service shops until correctly guessing the location of their appointment, the service provided is for a single issue. If you have more than one issue you will be making appointments for each issue. It is cumbersome and unwelcoming.
Great place great people and best of all the mechanics do a great job. With out Jim Burke Ford I don’t know where I would go for my vehicle needs

Once you do, youre stuck with them, and thats a mistake I will never make again. When my mechanic told me that he couldn’t find the issue with my AC unit, he told me that I would have to take it to the Ford dealer mechanic. I cringed because the Ford mechanics are a rip off. They overcharge for labor at $140/hr. That’s absurd. My bill was $500, while $450 of that bill was labor. Over the last few years, my Ford Fiesta has been giving me electrical issues. I’m so dissatisfied with Ford. I do everything I can to avoid bringing it to their dealer mechanic. I’m done with Ford.
I am extremely happy with the service I received at Ford to service my Ford Explorer. My fan would not stop running and they took my car in immediately and checked it over to discover it was most likely a relay switch. After diagnosing the exact problem, Ralph, who I believe was the Service Manager, gave me the best service and I was very happy and within just a few hours my car was fixed! Thank you Ralph for your immediate attention you gave to my car to get me on the road again; I appreciate it so much!
The representative let me know how long it would take and helped me get a Lyft, paid for by the dealer. The fix was done when the rep said it would be, and everyone was super friendly.

Both times I have had my truck serviced it has leaked on my driveway from the drain plug. The last time I had it serviced I took my own oil and I noticed they put 4 gallons of oil (16 quarts ) when it only takes 15 quarts. The manager had the tech adjust the level. I then asked the manager if they checked the air cleaner so he checked it and it was full of dirt and a mouse had been chewing on it in the past. Obviously they hadn’t checked it the time beforehand either. Not too happy with the, “Quick Lane” at Ford!
Friendly staff. Very helpful. Only down fall, they say theyll call you when your order arrives, but do not call you. Just be safe and call to check on your own. Great prices. Fast overnight delivery. Very happy with them. Wont go anywhere else for our truck parts.

My wife and I are located about 4 hours away and we saw one of their used vehicles on Auto Trader. We emailed and they have been keeping in constant contact ever since. We had the pleasure of dealing with Nicole Martinez and she never made us feel rushed, pressured, or was she trying to forcefully up sell something we didn’t have the money for.This was our first time ever purchasing a vehicle that we had not seen in person, and she FaceTimed us and showed us all the minor scratches and was honest with us with her opinions and very personable.They said they could deliver the vehicle for free to our front door and if we didn’t like it, we could turn them away and it’s done and over with.My wife and i have gone to multiple dealerships in person and have not had the best interactions.We haven’t received the vehicle yet as we are about two days out from it being delivered but at this point in time they’ve been awesome to deal with.

Last week as I was returning home after a two thousand mile road trip to TX from NV my 2014 Fusion with 42000 miles loss power and died on hwy 58 20 miles east of Bakersfield CA. Luckily when the car loss power randomly the fully loaded semi truck behind me didnt ram me off the road and I had my OBD2 code reader. So I took a picture of all the codes that were causing my check engine light and yellow wrench light to be shown on my dashboard. As I waited two hours in the 109 degree desert heat I was drinking all of the water I had left in my vehicle and luckily the tow truck found me and towed me to the downtown Bakersfield location.Once we arrived the bill was 180 dollars for the tow. I spoke with Assistant service manager Kaycee. Who helped me get my vehicle checked into their system for diagnosis. After about 20 minutes I was told that they will diagnose the vehicle tomorrow. I told her the story of what happened and she said that its not possible for the dealership to lend me a courtesy vehicle because we dont lend courtesy vehicles for service. I needed to get home that night so the only way was to pay for a rental car. Luckily I was able to load my rental car up with all the stuff I bought during my trip before the dealership closed and made it home 8 hours later. The next day I called the service department and they said they couldnt find anything wrong but would test drive my car to see if they can make the car fail again. This was on a Friday so I had to wait until Monday.On Monday I called again and they said they were too busy to give a test drive so I would it would have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday. I called again Tuesday afternoon and they said even after the test drive that they couldnt recreate the issue. I was in such disbelief that this Ford dealership couldnt find anything to replace on my less than 5 year old and only 42k mile Ford that I insisted to speak directly to their primary mechanic. During our conversation I told him all of the 9 codes I had taken pictures of and he wrote them down in hopes that it would lead to finally determining the reason why my newer car loss power. I also sent personal emails to several service managers which I found on their website to ensure that codes were looked into. The next afternoon I called again and Kaycee said that even after investigating all 9 codes that there was nothing wrong with my car. I was extremely disturbed to hear this because it meant that they cannot even tell me why my newer Ford died in the middle of the highway almost causing me to be killed by a semi truck....NOT SAFE. It almost appears to me that they didnt even look at the codes because they were wasting too many man hours on my car and had more important vehicles to fix instead. So the next day I drove down to Bakersfield to return my rental and pick up my perfectly fine car. The rental for the week cost me 260 bucks.After arriving at the dealership they charged me 130 dollars. I was annoyed that I even had to pay that because they didnt even fix anything. But I paid it anyway because I was just so fed up with this entire experience and just wanted to get home which was another 8 hour drive. After waiting 10 minutes for them to deliver my car to the front service desk I was getting impatient so I walked to the service lot where they were keeping my car. After a little search in the maze that is the service lot I find my car with the hood opened and two uniformed mechanics peering into the engine space. I walked up to my car and asked what was wrong. They said there was a cat stuck in there. I looked down into the dark crevice and sure enough there was a gentile meowing coming from the space. After staring at the hood for five minutes the mechanic wasnt doing anything so I grabbed my water bottle and poured a little bit of water down into the cavity and within a few seconds the cat darted out of the engine space like a rocket. Eventually the mechanic pulled my car out and drove me out of the lot and gave me my keys. I guess its normal for cats to stay inside
Staff was very polite, especially Yessenia at the front. I was in and out of there in no time. Very pleased with the quality of service provided.
Disappointing... Had my vehicle for nearly a week now, with no progress. Service pricing needs to be more competitive, I understand the labor intensive work, but ppl are having a hard enough time with the cost of vehicle maintenance without extra costs or carelessness during inspection
I have had good experiences at Jim Burke Ford every time I’ve purchased vehicles ( the first one being in 1983.) And every car and truck since. Service is always prompt, complete and friendly. No complaints at all.
Highly incompetent service advisors make even the simple process of getting an oil change a frustrating endeavor.

Great service! I made sure to get them paper work they needed and they took care of the rest. No hassle, no gimmicks. They stayed a bit longer on New Year’s Eve to get me my vehicle without any complaints or faces being made! Definitely doing business with them again!🤝
It is always a joy to see the efficiency of the workers at your place of business. I have been a customer of Jim Burke Ford for over 20 years and I dont want to change. The receptionists, young men, at the quick lube on Oak Street, Bakersfield are the best. I take one of them who was one of my students in high school, home baked cookies and it makes him so happy. I told him that he had to work for Jim Burke Ford until I passed away and both of us laughed. You can be happy that he works for you. He really enjoys his job.

This is my 3rd vehicle Ive bought from Jim Burke Ford and I will continue to do business with them. The buying/trade in process is very professional and not too time consuming. Ive never had any issues with them. The staff are all very helpful, friendly and courteous. I highly recommend Jim Burke Ford!
