Amazing people! Super friendly and helpful!

American Offroad is the best! I sat with Shay the owner and he explained everything in laymans terms and was beyond helpful. Its a family business and they make you feel like part of the family. Not only are they welcoming but they know what theyre doing! This is not just a job to them, it is a lifestyle. They care for your dream vehicle as if its their own!

I have nothing bad to say about their off-road work and I think they should stick to that!!! But when it comes to selling the dirt bikes and kids atvs, I’ve had the worst customer service ever!!! They’re selling these bikes and don’t even know how to work on them. I had my bike under a supposedly 90 day warranty and when it stopped working I took it in on February 27 2021 and didn’t get results or answers until September 9 2021. Not once did they have the courtesy to call me at any time during that period with any updates, I had to call and call and call so much that I lost track. I’m a hour 20 minutes away from their location and with their hours and my work hours it was always a mission to make it there before they closed. I spent 2200 dollars on 2 kids dirt bikes and one took a dump on me before the warrantyand one after the warranty, after months of them having my bike there at the shop and giving me the run around they decided to just replace my bike. I show up and they have a totally different bike for me, I went to buying a 1100 bike to them replacing it with a 700 one. Not only did they have the nerve to tell me I showed up with an attitude after months of getting the run around, the owners of the place couldn’t even be professionals and look at me in the face and talk to me. I felt so disrespected, if my bike couldn’t get fixed it should of got replaced right away under warranty, not wait months just to get ripped off and not even do anything on my other bike that I was willing to pay to have it work on because they have no idea on how to fix them. I wasted my money and my time, I’m sure they are a 5 star place when it comes to their off road work but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who’s looking to purchase an atv for their kids, worst experience I’ve had so far in 2021. If there was a negative 5 star rating to give them I would. I’ll take this as a lesson and not a loss and next time give my business to a place that knows what they’re selling. On that note I want to thank the young man that was put in place to handle the situation since the owner’s of the business couldn’t.

We chose American Offroad to lift our 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon based on a recommendation I got while researching lift kits. We couldnt be happier with the outcome. Shay & Misty are the owners and this shop is a family business. Their customer service is top notch. Their quality of work is top notch. Their knowledge and experience is far greater than what I experienced at some of the other nationwide chain Offroad shops. Its obvious that they love what they do and off-roading is a lifestyle for them.They helped us transform our Jeep into exactly what we wanted and their pricing was very fair. If youre in the market for anything Offroad or auto repair related, check them out before you go anywhere else.

The rating above is only a 5-star max when I would give American Offroad a 10-star review. I had problems with my lift kit on my 2014 Tundra making noise, so I took my truck to American Offroad and they did an excellent job fixing the issues with my truck. The lift was previously improperly installed by a dealership here in Bakersfield. Come to find out ALL the lift kit hardware was installed backwards, and they stacked a 4 metal spacer with a 2 plastic leveling spacer to make it a 6 lift that proceeded to damage the other components of the lift kit. American Offroad went above and beyond and worked hard to fix all the issues with my truck. I recommend them for all your off road and daily driver service and repairs.

I am so glad I brought my Jeep here. I knew what I wanted but not what I needed. Shay, Misty and ALL the guys there were A M A Z I N G. I couldnt be happier with not only the end result, but with the guidance to get me there. I am definitely a customer for life!

Great place!!!! Great customer service, very helpful and friendly..BEST PRICES in town, so they sell our of riding toys pretty quick around xmas it seems! The small 400 watt quad is quicker than I thought, my 10 year old loved it, and they had no problem letting him try it out!! So we bought 2.

American offroad did a great job since the beginning. They took there time explaining everything to me. And helped me pick the perfect package. Overall I had a great experience. They have great customer service. Any modification I do I will be coming back to American off-road and will recommend them with my friends and family.

I was told to have my jeep worked on here by a couple of people. Im glad I was told to have my jeep worked on here. They have gone above and beyond to get work done on my vehicle in a timely manner. Prices are some of the best Ive seen in the business. It is rare to find a shop that will go through great lengths to get the job done when estimated. I will continue to have work done to my jeep here from now on. Good prices, great people. What more can you ask for?

Awesome offroad shop, great customer service paired with great prices.

I took my 2005 LJ to the dealership for service bulletin repair. The dealership ended up breaking the part they were suppose to repair.It sat at Jeep for 3 weeks while they were trying to figure out what to do. After talking to Jeep they decided they would take it to American off-road for the repair. Not only did they do an outstanding job, they did it in one day. So, if you want something fix right and in a timely manner go see the Team.

Communication? Suspension issues still there no resolve

This is a company worth taking the time to write a review for! I just got a leveling kit, wheel spacers and a change of tires installed on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma and I can’t brag enough about the customer service that I received. The team at American Offroad are extremely helpful and have the best prices in town! I’ll definitely be doing more business with them. If you are looking for a mod/upgrade to your vehicle, this is the place to go to!

I dont know where to start on my review of this company. Every one here has gone above and beyond in order to help me with my truck issues. As an example, the gears went out in my 4x4 and although American couldnt get to it right away they arranged for me to get the gears fixed at another shop. I was also prepared to go to Arizona for the holidays but I heard a noise coming from the rear end. This was on a Sunday, but they had their mechanic meet me at the shop to see what was wrong. The next day they drove all over town trying to find the parts to fix my truck. Parts were unavailable, but American Off Road made the necessary repairs to get me on the road to AZ. This is just a minor explanation of what they have done and have guaranteed to help with with. Customer service like this is absolutely unknown in this day. A big thanks to Shae, Misty and everyone else!!! What a mistake I made in giving this positive review. DONT GO THERE. Over 3 months to fix my truck that insurance said should take 5 days. Original problem not even fixed. I had to involve the BAR to get my issues resolved. Dont trust them!!!

I brought my two Jeeps down for lift kits, and wheels and tires! Best customer service I’ve ever experienced!! I also had my two children with me who got bored very quickly and the staff helped kindly entertain them and teach them a few things about other products for sale in the shop! I would highly recommend anyone go here if you want not only great prices, but trusted and quality work!!

American Offroad is amazing! So glad I brought my Jeep here to get my work done. Everyone here is friendly and really treats you like family. Instead of talking you into wasting money on upgrades you dont need, they help you with a build that is right for what you want to do off-road. Their prices are tough to beat too. If you do a lot of offroading their unlimited alignments for a year for $149 is well worth it.

American Offroad has done an awesome job on my wife’s 2019 Jeep Wrangler, very friendly and willing to take the time and explain exactly how things work. Not happy to say this but I actually called direct Offroad a couple months ago and still have not heard back from them, American Offroad took care of things right away I highly recommend them and will only let them make our jeeping experience better! This place is by far the best in town, fast service, knowledgeable staff, professional which is missing in most of the shops anymore and best prices Ive seen in town for builds and repairs. Doesnt matter what you have they can install or repair, fixed my Lincoln today where others werent able to.

We bought an electric 3 speed quad from American Offroad for our 2yo. He picked it up automatically. The selling point for us was the way that we were treated. We were able to try the quad by the store and the family is AWESOME! We had prior experience with Shay (sp?) and when we found out he was the owner, we knew we were shopping at the right place. Our family HIGHLY suggests this business. I would rate it higher if I could.

Horrible customer service! Took my truck in with no issues to get a lift kit installed and now I have issues that need to be fixed and the owners wife says “ there is nothing I can do about it, I’m not the manufacturer” so now I’m at another shop getting my truck fixed and an alignment done on my truck because they failed to do the job right.

Best Off Road Shop in Bakersfield Hands Down. Excellent Products, Outstanding Service. Dont Waste your Time or Money Anywhere Else.
