I like the new location, more room to browse. The staff was great on our visit and helped me find just what I was looking for, even called the vendor at home. Just my luck, furniture was 50% off!

This place is fabulous. They have everything. Little pricey but worth it. They have awesome antiques and jewelry and even costumes. Worth checking out. Was my first time but I will definitely be going back

Owners are awful to their customers. I never felt so unwelcome or uncomfortable in a store. I was having a good time before the owner started looking at me with so much hatred. I didnt do anything and was about to check out. I feel stupid for even buying here after being treated so poorly.

Love this place. Such a awesome selection and the employees were helpful and courteous. It was 2nd Saturday, so lots of discounts.

The customer service there is wonderful. They are helpful and easy to ask questions and are very friendly. The atmosphere is fun and exciting with so many choices of areas to look through and find a one of a kind piece you want to take home with you. Personally, Ive found many one of a kind things that I still love to this day.

Again the staff made me feel hurried. There is a lot of different stuff to look at, alot of stuff. I just always feel like the lady behind the counter is always trying to get rid of me before Im ready to be done shopping.

The new location isnt as awesome as the old location. Its a bit smaller and they had to cut back their inventory, but they still have a lot of excellent stuff. Every time we go to Bakersfield we stop by to see what theyve got.

Shopping here is FUN! Me, my husband and two teenage daughters all love this store. Great quality vintage and current styles of clothes. We always find something we cant leave without. Helpful sales staff as well. Lots of parking in front.

Reviewing their Estate Sales: Normally, its an OK experience. Their prices are fair. Their managing is poor. Had a horrid experience...if you are first in line, you can let your family member cut in front of you, and whatever you want is yours (you are given first priority by their staff), even if someone else ask for it first. This business supports this. If they are NOT managing the lines, it shouldnt matter who is first in line. If they are managing the lines, they should make sure no one is cutting the lines. They should pick one style of managing. Had I known this business gives first priority to the first person in line, I wouldnt let the first person in line let family members cut in front. Again, they should either manage the lines correctly, or dont interfere by giving priority to the first person in line. WORSE PART OF EVERYTHING IS HEARING ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES TALK NONE STOP ABOUT RIGHT WING PROPAGANDA - TO US. TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING TO HEAR POLITICAL PROPAGANDA.

I had a terrible experience shopping here I bought a Louis Vuitton purse that was used that was in wonderful condition that they posted up on their Instagram page turns out the purse wasn’t authentic it was a fake dupe purse I can’t believe they lied to me even though they had paperwork but it doesn’t mean nothing they lied to me about being authentic it wasn’t authenticity correctly and I paid almost full price if I was buying a new one smh i found out about being fake from Poshmark due to my husband bought me a better one & yup that’s how I found out it wasn’t authentic from Poshmark even the buyer said it herself to anyone shops here be careful not being scammed here and I’m going to report it because they won’t give me a refund back even though I had the proof

Why does anyone buy full retail? A pair of Tony Lama boots for $50? A Patagonia flannel shirt for $10? This place is amazing...and they have vintage collectibles...best place to browse in Bako...great staff too.

Not much in terms of antiques, but has a decent amount of good clothing. Lots of overpriced junk though. Employees feel like theyre really faking it, and the chick I think is the owner is really tacky... Not really worth driving down too..

I actually enjoyed many different antique stores. This first antique store provides a cup of water that I ever know. Also there is many fans for customers and viewers to feel chill in this kind of antique store. If you dont find it the first time I would be surprised. You must come back and try again. New things everyday. The staff is amazingly friendly and very helpful. Antiques, Collectibles, clothing you name it! It truly is In Your Wildest Dreams. They also do Consignment and estate sales.

You must come here for clothes! Male or female, there is a great selection here and all of it is in nearly pristine condition. I found four tops and a skirt for under $85. And one of those tops was an Eileen Fischer tank which retails for around $80 on its own. They have nice dressing rooms and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. Ive been here twice and found several items each time. I am plus size which is sometimes challenging but not here...I find lots of options.

Great antiques and decent prices

This place has some very interesting and unique vintage pieces, even for us guys! The prices are reasonable, similar to buying modern clothing new, or less. Make sure to check out the back!

If you live in Bakersfield, or have any investment in the city at all, you simply must visit In Your Wildest Dreams. It is utterly unique in this town: costumes, bizarre fashion, affordably priced antiques. The layout feels like the backstage of a (possibly haunted) theater, with nooks and crannies that you may not discover on your first visit. The employees are interesting, helpful, and clearly a part of the culture that the store has created. GO. SPEND. NOW.

Love the variety you can find at this place. The prices are kinda high in my opinion but its always fun to browse. Furniture, clothes, antiques, linens, crafts, costumes......., ya, there is a lot to see! This location closed this past weekend as theyve moved into their new storejust a bit eat.

The previous location seems to be much better because since theyve moved, the whole atmosphere is different. The girls are friendly and helpful, but the manager or owner lacks customer service skills. Wont sell clothing anymore here. The last 2 times I have taken jeans in, the managers low-ball offers were a joke. She offered me $8 for a pair of rock revivals (nwt) and 3 pairs of miss me. Offered me $5 for brand new true religion jeans and 2 pairs of miss me jeans. Not as much stuff to explore, building is smaller, crowded and just not the same .

Don’t use them for estate sale!! They will give you the run around, never call you back, set a date then never show up to do the sale

The dresses were not accepted didnt know kids clothes werent accepted, but I took other items that were not even kids clothes an old antique skin leather jacket of my mothers is not kids clothes. The person that attended us when she said everything were kids clothes without even looking at everything and just walked away. Nothing I took wasnt even sold not even a bag I took.

Great store to check out while antique shopping downtown. Mixture of womens boutique clothing and even old costumes from Hollywood. Basement has many large and small items also.

Love it here! Found a great dress for a wedding

Called at 3 pm and they said come by 4 pm. Said ok would load up and drive across town and that I would be there right at 4 and they said that would be fine. Pulled up at 3:55 pm and they said sorry we can’t look at your stuff after I already walked in and said where should I bring consignment items and they said bring them in to the back. Wasted my time and costumer service was less than stellar.
