Person who sold me my car was friendly and helpful. Took their time time helping with car and not wasting time. However when it came to setting up the Subaru STARLINK after the sale my sales person has gone MIA. Drove there twice in person to leave my phone number for him to call back as well as 4 phone calls to no prevail. After 3 weeks of trying to get in touch with him I ended up just calling Subaru customer service who helped me with my problem. Seems like once they sold you the car, they don’t have the obligation to help you. Even the manager couldn’t do anything said only sales person could fix the issue I had.
Lucas has replaced broken moonroof on my Subaru Forester and did annual maintenance at the same shot. Im very happy with speed and quality of the job.

We came from Open Road Subaru with a bad taste as the salesperson made us feel as though we wouldn’t be able to afford a car while in fact we had good credit and a decent down payment. We came here right after and were immediately helped out. Within an hour we had a car and we’re signing our lease. Honestly a very smooth experience and could not have been any easier. I feel bad for not remembering his name but the tall Columbian guy who sits near the front entrance was super helpful and pretty relaxed making us feel at ease when getting the car.

Had my first service at Richard Lucas, and the service and professionalism was beyond superior. Ryan was phenomenal to work with. We had a slight issue while my car was being serviced (had a small fender bender in the shop), but they stepped up to the problem and told me about it immediately. I purchased a 2018 subaru forester back in march, and since purchasing i’ve had to repair it three times and replace all of the tires. although the process of purchasing my car was smooth, i doubt that they had actually done a thorough inspection before selling the car to me. even though they claimed to, my car should not have this many repairs so soon after purchasing. very frustrating, disappointing, and misleading.
There is no listing of fees for each service so you are charged at the mercy of their whims. The wait time was excruciating-I waited five hours and then was told they found another problem even though they had performed a diagnostic previously, but strangely that problem was not revealed. There is no complimentary food only vending machines. Garbage! They do however provide free coffee. Not the best, but coffee nonetheless. Oh and don’t expect a complimentary wash. It will not happen. My experience was not the best. Perhaps someone’s else’s will be better. One star for the coffee. I like coffee.
I was interested in a Subaru WRX STI and noticed a Blue one out front, I decided to stop by without any intentions of actually purchasing. From my salesman Nick G. to the managers and finance department everyone was simply amazing. I have never experienced such a smooth and quick transaction. After a quick negotiation the deal was too good to pass up and I ended up making the purchase on the spot and was out of there in a total of 2 hours. That is UNHEARD OF! I am used to spending an entire day in a dealership walking around in misery. There was no BS, no additional fees, no sales pitch and no extra happy sales managers walking around to try closing the sale. I couldnt be happier! I will be back!
Service was exceptional. Ryan kept me informed on the status of my car. I went away for the weekend and my car wasn’t finished and they gave me a rental no questions asked. This was my first time here and certainly won’t be my last. I went in describing problems and they even diagnosed and fixed problems that were covered by my warranty.

I don’t appreciate the hard sell on 30000 mile service and the fiction that was told to my wife that if anyone other than Subaru does the service that it would void my warranty. Shameful. It’s a good thing they told my wife and not me because I would have made a scene. I am writing to corporate.
This is my third Subaru dealer. Ive tried Morristown and Open Road and these guys are by far the best. Rather than try and sell you things you dont want, or even a car you dont want, they sit patiently and listen and offer great suggestions. They are trying to make you a satisfied customer, and I certainly am. I finished the process today. I got my new registration and got a few questions answered, but most importantly Gary and all the staff that I dealt with there were fantastic to work with. Even when they called me on the phone to tell me that my registration was finished, they were polite and warm. They made my experience of buying a new car educational, informative, and very pleasurable. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Was looking to purchase a 2020 Forester through TrueCar (via my employers partnership), which brings on dealers who dont hassle or haggle customers. I got quoted a fair price, and as soon as I inquired about the vehicle, the price magically jumped $1500.When I inquired why after I put in a purchase inquiry, I was told that demand had popped up, and that I would need to come in to even discuss the car further. When I mentioned that I was a TrueCar client and that was the price that theyd negotiated, surprisingly the car had JUST BEEN SOLD!! Sooo shocking, as I checked today and the car is still on their site with the upticked price. AMAZING! FRIENDLY AND HONEST!I brought in my car for a recall repair and to check out another problem. My mechnic had just damaged a sensor that he had to replace, and I was expecting to get an earful about it, but they were just fine.They called me that found another problem that, depending, could cost up to $140. When I came to pick up the car they told me it was a matter of putting in one screw and didnt charge me.Great guys and although I cant use them because they arent near my house, Im sure to go back when Im in the market for another Subaru.

Do not buy a car here. I drove out of my way due to wide variety of in stock cars advertised online at this dealership. The salesman was nice enough to start but when the conversation turned to pricing I was shocked at how blatantly dishonest he was. He even tried to talk me out of looking at a Carfax report on a used car. I immediately left and purchased a car at a different Subaru dealer who was up front, honest and low pressure that same day. I am disappointed in the time I wasted at this dealership.I regret not getting the actual salesmans name but even when I contacted the internet sales specialist, who had reached out after my online inquiry, about my experience I received absolutely no response. Apparently this is how this dealership operates. I will never return to this dealership and recommend everyone stay away.
I had my car in for service this week and I can’t say enough about the service department at Richard Lucas Subaru, especially Ryan and Jason. They arranged for me to get a ride home so I didn’t have to wait at the dealership while the car was serviced. They are extremely helpful and go out of their way to explain everything about what needed to be done to the car to bring it current in its maintenance schedule. They set up the appointment at our convenience, made sure the car was in great shape and even fixed a recall that we were not aware of. Excellent service and great experience!! We previously were going to Flemington and didnt know Richard Lucas was close by. Were now Richard Lucas customers for all of our Subaru needs. Hopefully, the service repairs are just as great... they didn’t have the part in stock... Monday, 11/27/2020 at 1100 AM, so I wasted the day and I had to reschedule . Jason was the person I was dealing with this time of my arrival. He was thoroughl. Did I mention that they did not have part I needed, so what I came to the service department for was not completed. However, Jason was able to sell me on replacing the air filter.... hmmmm. I said the customer service was great!!
I just purchased my Forester from here on Saturday. The process was relatively smooth. I was greeted by a manager when I was outside & he took me right to a salesman Mike P. I didn’t have any issues finding someone to help me & the whole process was pretty straightforward. I would recommend going here if you don’t like all the haggling. Note: Subaru really doesn’t give you much incentive to purchase from them. If you are looking for rebates, free oil changes etc...this isn’t the place or car for you.

Took my Subaru in for servicing and required repairs to the brakes. Richard Lucas Subaru was extremely diligent and kept me informed on the required repairs and the cost estimates and the turnaround time. Special shoutout to Jason for the efficient service and arranging shuttles to drop me off and pick me up once the repairs were done.
Jason was great as always. Got my a Lyft ride home and everything. Response time to texts was slightly slower than normal but I can understand that with everything going on. Fixed my car the first time and for less than I was expecting.

They were busy, and took the time to explain to one client they wanted to take care of a minor recall she had not received notice yet, to save her another trip.
