There is this young man there name Landon and when I say he is amazing, he is that and more! Every time I come there he is helpful and goes out of his way to make my experience successful! I honest to God wish it was more people like him in this world! He should be a manager because he is definitely an awesome leader! My son is in sports and he make sure he encourages him every visit! We appreciate you Landon!!! Please never change!!

My mom and I came here yesterday we got nice clothes and shoes. But when we got in one of the employees yelled at us because I had my sweater on my hand and he thought that we were stealing. I hope he was joking because we never stole anything and he saw when I walked in that store with my sweater.

Looking for any kind of sporting goods, camping equipment, workout equipment, shoes, great selection. Locations always near you. Their sales are always great. Backpacks, guns, YETI products. Athletic Clothing selection for men women and children is always great.

Friendly and helpful staff,prices are good but they could get more stock,they didnt have as much merchandise as I wouldve liked to choose from. I recommend going there.

I went in to buy weights. They had no carts. When I asked the lady at the front she just shrugged. I ended up asking another associate for help and they said they’d send someone over. They didn’t. After waiting for quite some time I carried everything myself which was quite a lot. On my way out I noticed the associate I asked for help just staring at me. This is a very trashy store with people who need to learn a bit about customer service.

My experience buying sneakers was great and I found what I desired in a running sneak. My second visit wasnt what Id call productive. In sporting goods depart., the employee behind the counter was more interested in drawing triangle shaped diagrams and filling those in with solid coloring. He was absolutely no help even when asked. Yes, questions were answered but was responding with a demeanor of that of a extremely bored person or one being on the slab in a morgue. To that employee, time is almost constant, and when the clock stops.. Have fun as much as possible, just suggesting

Went in to return a pair of shorts I bought about a month ago but had never worn. When I went to wear them today I realized I had bought the wrong size and the receipt was long gone but at least the tags were still on them.Long story short the associates at Academy were more than helpful in helping me to try and locate the transaction using my credit card but was unsuccessful because I had lost the card I purchased them with. Even through all that I was able to switch the shorts out for the correct size and it was an even swap.I really appreciate that they still practice excellent customer service and I was able to get the right shorts even though the whole deal was my fault.Good job Academy William Cannon!! Keep up the good work!

Store is small and selections was almost none for what I needed. Store was trashy and items were not properly priced had to ask assistance several time to know the price. Love Academy and the products just that this location is ghetto.

Went for backpacks 3 times in the past 2 weeks and most everything was sold out. So we decided to look at the clothes and found some great sale prices on Nike, Addias, and Champion (Only at Brodie).

Customer Service was great. For the Plus sized active woman, this location has a bigger selection.

Hunting, fishing, camping you need it and its not horribly specific, then its probably here. They even have *some* ammo. Its still a bit pricey but its here.

Ok I went before labor day and they had zeros river or pool items bedside boats come on its not the end of summer tell labor day and even then this is Texas Summer ends in mid October

Went in to buy a Traeger grill for a Christmas gift. The employee who helped us was very friendly and courteous. She helped us roll it up front and got too male employees to help me load it into our truck . Was a nice shopping experience and I will shop here again!

They almost have nothing they dont have any soccer cleats, or mark shoes.

Only a few scattered boxes of ammo left on the shelves and nearly all pistols sold. Most of the store was stocked but several alsles were half empty.

They had a lady trying to herd people like cattle to the cash registers, in doing so people were walking up to cashiers with no customers and a line of people in the clothing section waiting to be checked out. Their were so many people walking up to cashiers with no customers she didnt have time to tell the ones in line where to go. The ones line were not social distancing. I just threw my stuff on a table and walked out. That was the most unorganized check I had ever seen...... 3 to 400 dollar sale lost to some unnecessary people herding. They did not have many customers at that time.

Its nice to see that we still have a sporting good store in Austin that covers almost everything sports related. Easy in and out ample parking.

Everyone in the store from managers to cashiers and greeters were extremely friendly and helpful. I have always enjoyed shopping in this store and try here before going anywhere else. The tennis shoes I bought are some of my fave and I get compliments all the time on them.Ive bought childrens and adults sports gifts as well as sports training equipment for me. Soo happy to have an Academy Sports to shop at!

I went to buy shoes but they didnt have enough size 14 medium so I got my Bates Tactical Sport Boots instead.

Well stocked inventory. They had masks for customers.

The customer service received at the register was awful. The cashier didnt acknowledge us. He stryed kicking the area under the register. I was just handed my receipt and my items were not bagged.

Academy sports and outdoors is the perfect location to go in, walk around, notice a few cool things you want to buy, and then buy them somewhere else. Selection is nice, but prices are exorbitant.

I drove up to Austin from San Antonio to pickup a pro form exercise bike because that was the nearest location that had 1 left. I was told beforehand that the 1 year free ifit membership code was not with the bike which was fine. However, when I get home and start to put it together, none of the screws needed were in the box. Needless to say Im very upset about this. Then when I tried calling the store, I was hung up on. I finally get a manager on the phone and was told there was nothing they could do. So now Im forced to go out and try but the right screws. Thanks for nothing academy Austin.

Well I was in the store to purchase some sandals and a few other items..The stares I received from employees, Well Im in the womens section and mind you I was not the only customer there but yet she asked me if she can help me, I said No thank-you.Then I asked her why did you not ask that Caucasian gentlemen if he needed help.She turned around and Said Oh I did Not Notice himI chuckled And Said You would say that, But you noticed me because of my black skin, She said Im mexican, I said You dont look it .And that dont mean a thing, Racial Profiling when will it ever end.

This is a great Academy. There are always plenty of parking spaces. It is an easy store to navigate. The employees here are typically friendly and willing to try to be helpful. The store is easy to see from the road and easy to get out of the parking lot however the traffic to get in can be a hassle due to the current construction (Wm Cannon/I35). The right stuff the low/right price every day. Academy!

So I grabbed some items and went to checkout and young lady asked me to wait while she checked out a couple of people from another line. I was upset and didn’t want to spend my money there.

This is a good store with helpful staff.

Was surprised to find a line to buy ammunition. Sort of scarey. Too many people own too many guns ad so many if them arent safe. The other products sold by Academy oare over shadowed by their catering to gun owning fruitcakes.Yeah I know some of them are good responsible gun owners but dont try to sell me that everyone in that line was sober and safe.

Good prices and selection of products. We were looking for baseball shoes and didnt know where to start. I stood near two employees engaged in a conversation about the display of certain items. They stopped their conversation, asked if I needed help and took me to where I needed to be. They then helped with sizing and found several items to choose from. They even found items on sale. They took a process that could have taken me 30 minutes or more and got me what I needed, at a good price, in five minutes. Thank you, sirs!Academy is also a great place for your BBQ needs.

Pretty good outdoors store. Decent prices in guns and ammo. Workout gear is alright. Dont buy the white box Winchester ammo though. Quality control on that stuff is pretty questionable. Also, if youre going to buy a hundred dollar five gallon bucket, for some reason, I have two things to sell you. One, for fifty bucks, Ill sell you two home depot buckets that Ive put a nice, thick layer of spray foam between. Guaranteed to keep your beer cold. Two, for only another fifty bucks, Ill throw in the deed to the golden gate bridge. Itll be yours. Look, Ive got it right here. Just take it to a court house in California and theyll give you the bridge. Or laugh at you. But hey, its a good deal.

Not the best academy location. Havent been happy with there ammo stock. And it seems like theres always teenagers running around the store for fun and not shopping.

I purchased a handgun (compact Ruger) from this location, and when I got home I discovered the safety doesnt work. Ruger offered to fix the issue for free however this would leave me without a weapon for over two weeks. I trusted Academy would have inspected the weapon for such an obvious malfunction prior to selling it, but they clearly failed to do so. Ruger has great customer service, but this is my only weapon, and it has put me in a very bad situation.ALWAYS inspect your weapons prior to purchase! Lesson learned.

This place is dirty, run down, and way beyond understaffed. The racks were a mess, missing most of everything I was looking for. The employees saw me looking lost and confused but no one ever even bothered to check on me. Id avoid this location if st all possible.

Its always a great place to fine any sporting goods that you may need, and the people are always helpful and friendly.

Purchased a couple of ice chest, wagon and a pop up tent. Not only on sale, but tax free.
