If you need a fastener(screw or bolt, whatever), go straight here. They are extremely helpful, and they have everything. I needed a screw, and all I had was the plastic piece that contained threads. I was worried they wouldnt help me because 1, I only needed a screw, and 2, I didnt really even know what I needed. The clerk took my piece in the back and came back with the perfect solution in less than 5 minutes. They only charged me fifty cents which is kinda ridiculous. Thanks ABC!

Looked all over town bought countless WRONG nuts. Came here had what I needed for 25 cents. One package of5 wrong nuts was over 4.00 dollars. It pays to know when to go to AMERICAN BOLT CO.

These guys saved me at 4:59 on Friday!When I called, I knew it was a long shot and didnt expect anyone to answer the phone.Tyler answered less than one minute before closing on a Friday and sounded as if it was 1pm on a Tuesday.Very helpful!!!They had the specialty bolt I needed to finish installing my new bumper!Naturally, I couldnt make it there before closing. Tyler took a credit card over the phone and hid the bolts outside for me so I could pick them up later that night.When I showed up around 8pm, some of the guys from there were still there, unwinding on a Friday Id imagine. They were polite and helped me find the bolts which were hidden.Ill make the drive from North Austin again if I ever need anything.Thank everyone so much!

Very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a damaged custom bolt that could not be found at the big box stores and with limited availability online. American Bolt quickly identified my part and provided recommendation on appropriate tapping screw and technique. This might be obvious to a pro, but, it was very helpful for a DIY guy.

Went the other day to get some bolts that my brother needed always superb service for over 35 years never a complain or getting the wrong size they also have other items stop by and visit even though you dont buy anything its worthwhile

They have a $5 min credit/debit Card charge. I’m pretty that is illegal. Business can not surcharge or force customers to spend more money for using a card.I have a small business and i have to eat the merchant account charge. So should they.

Been in several times, a few projects requiring specific bolts. Customer service is not an issue but having the correct parts is! Purchased bolts, washers, and lock nuts today. While I’m doing the install, the nuts are the wrong thread count! This happens every time I go in. Needless to say it won’t happen again.

Small company, with knowledge and employees that get it done!They either have it or can get it every single time. You will leave in a good mood and with a solution, I cant say that about many businesses.

Friendly and fast service.

Ive never had any trouble here until recently, but Ive also never had to experience their customer service until recently either. I bought a 5mm socket bit from them to remove the valve covers from a Chevy 2500 so I could replace the injectors. The Socket bit cost $17, so I was expecting it to be high quality. After just a couple bolt The bit rounded off, stripping the inside of the bolt I was breaking loose, which was in the indent of the firewall on that truck, where I couldnt fit a drill or easyout. That turned a 12 labor hour job into a 25 labor hour job(which is $1,000 difference in labor that I will not charge my customer because I stick to my quotes and give the best customer service I can offer), because now, to change the injectors, I had to pull the engine from the truck so I could get to that bolt. When I went back to explain what had happen, they refused to refund me, and offered to replace it with an identical bit. If the first bit was so poor quality that it rounded after less than 6 bolts, and mind you these are torqued to 11 lb ft, why would I want a second bit? What was even more upsetting, is that the manager wouldnt even leave the back room to speak to me about it. The salesmen had to go to the back, talk to him, and relay info to me. How disrespectful! I wont be coming back any time soon. I payed $17 for something craftsman sells for $6, because I wanted and expected high quality. The craftsman bit I bought afterward has held up great. I learned my lesson. All you can expect here is disrespect and low quality products at a jacked up price. Attached is a photo of the bit.

Before the acquisition by Fastserv, Austin Bolt Co. was a great company, with large selection, friendly people and truly fast service. No more. Fastserv has reduced inventory dramatically, you get to set for different length, head type, material, grade or finish if you are lucky enough to find something closer to what you need. The name Fastserv is a joke, more than three customer and you may wait 45 minutes.

Quick, easy, knowledgeable, to-the-point service. I found the U-bolt I needed right on the shelf. I went to the counter to match up another bolt that I needed but didnt see in the browsing area and the associate at the counter retrieved it from the back in less than two minutes. I wish I had gotten his name, but they dont wear nametags - he was a younger guy with brown hair and a camo American Bolt hat.I spent about $8 for the bolts I needed that I was unable to find anywhere else near me. The only drawback is that they are only open contractor hours, M-F 8am-5pm, but their service and selection is worth planning a trip around my work schedule.
