They had multiple styles that I liked. Being a small, Austin local shop, that really impressed me. One of the employees, Jillian pulled out all the different styles with different sizes so I got the perfect fit. She really cared about the company and made me excited to rep the Helm brand. I stopped by a couple days later to pick up a shirt and socks, another employee Liz was also super helpful and friendly. I couldnt be happier with my experience and purchase.Update 10/29: Ive already replaced both laces after about a month and half of almost daily use, the fray very easily. They give you extra laces but kinda disappointed. I bought the Hollis model. The boots themselves have been amazing!

Went in over the fourth of July weekend to pick up the Nils Natural shoe. Having already owned and love the Wilson I was curious to try on this shoe in person. Jillian was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the product. The shoe is so comfortable and the grip pattern just sets the shoe off with the mini lug. Helm you guys just went next level with this shoe especially with the insole. You have a customer for life just like your shoes are built for life. Once again thank you for allowing me to come in store and try on the shoes! Jillian you rock!

I bought my first pair of boots from Helm back in 2016 (a pair of Lee Lows) after trying on several boots from different brands. Buying from Helm was the best decision I could have made. Ive absolutely loved the boots from day one and wear them to work 4-5 days/week as well as out on weekends. They match pretty much any outfit and are a perfect every day boot. After 2 years, a resole, and a few hundred miles worth of wear on my first pair I decided it was time I purchased my second pair (Muller Black). Now that I have a color for every occasion I wont ever wear anything other then Helm boots. I cannot recommend these guys enough; the boots age impeccably (my Lee Lows look brand new after a quick shine) and their customer service is second to none. If you live in Austin or can stop by their brick and mortar location on East 11th when youre in town, do it. Its worth the trip!

While the company seems great and the customer service was good, I had a difficult time getting what I ordered. I ordered the Hollis Teak boots at the beginning of December and even though the website said they were in stock, they didn’t arrive for two weeks. When they did arrive, the boots were much darker than the advertised Hollis Teak’s and looked a lot like the Hollis Brown. The company explained that that batch of Hollis Teak’s had taken on a much darker hue and that they could exchange them for the next batch of Teak’s that would be lighter like the one’s advertised on the website. I sent them back and after waiting another 3 weeks, received a package from Helm only to discover they were the same exact boots I had sent back. Not just the same darker color, but the same exact boots with the same marks on the leather and everything! I took a picture of the boots I sent back so it was easy to tell. I called the company and they were apologetic and overnighted a new pair of the Hollis Teak boots to me and that pair was a much lighter hue and I love them. It just took a little over 5 weeks to finally get the boots I wanted. Hopefully this was a rare occurrence for the company as it seems many people have had great experiences with them, but my experience was very frustrating to say the least.

Purchased the Rail Road mens leather boots, they are very well made. They are very stylish too and look good with anything I wear. I will be back to get another pair soon. If you want high quality boots, Helm is the place to be.

Customer Service, though.Boots and belt I bought are of the highest quality but that you know. The customer service, however, is beyond the highest quality. I can not recommend this company enough.

I stumbled onto Helm from an IG ad a few weeks ago. I’m weak for great shoes and boots.....especially in the fall. Their web design, photos and product line up looked extra nice but then I realized they’re in Austin.....just a few miles away from me. Zoom. I hit the flagship store. Mind blown.Very nice sales rep. Cool shop. Lots of beautiful shoes and boots. I had a hard time picking. Got a pair of black Bradleys. So comfy and sharp looking. It’s only been a few days and now I feel the draw pulling me over to E. 11th Street again. I think I must have a pair of Zinds.

Within five minutes, I get a call and an answer.I asked why he was answering phones. Every experience Ive had with Helm has been on point. They seem to only hire extremely helpful, genuinely down to earth, and chill folks. The Wilsons are my favorite pair of boots. Ive also bought a couple more boots, socks, laces and more than a few shirts from them. My only problem with Helm is I have to force myself not to wear their stuff everyday and cycle through some of my other shoes to give my Wilsons a break. Truly a tough life.
