Our full house remodel needed a new kitchen and bathrooms cabinets. We checked a few places and after seeing a kitchen by FBS at our friend’s house we went there as well. Our designer C.J. Smith was very competent and professional who understood well our ideas and aesthetics .She worked out a design plan that met our needs and was in our budget. She offered many options that helped to finalize our selections.We have ordered cabinets and a pantry door to match in the Kitchen, cabinets for two bathrooms with a tall closet and additional two console cabinets for other rooms.There have been a few issues on the way that were resolved and the final product was amazing!Thanks FBS and great installers Johnny and Maury!

Good prices. Good sales service. Waited 30 days for half of our appliances to arrive. Had to cancel another one and purchase elsewhere since they had no idea when the dishwasher they sold us would actually arrive. Had to have install crew come back twice to properly set microwave. Install crew left first time without checking the door wouldnt open all the way.

I have a terrible experience with this store. I am about to make a $16k purchase and the builders of the house I bought is working with this store. The sales person called Thor is very got a quote unresponsive.I and wanted to understand some of the stuff and options. But, neither me calls are returned or my emails replied. So, I went to the store. People were just not very professional and didnt even ask me if I need help. When I asked for help someone with a snarky smile told me that I cannot walk to store without proper appointment with Thor. They were less then professional. When I showed them my frustration someone with a common sense walked after me with a pen and paper to take note of my information. Obviously they dont need my money and they are not in the business to sell.. Definitely go elsewhere. I wish that builders would give several options..

I have been very pleased over the last years with every aspect of Factory Builders Store here in Austin. The service team, the products, the showroom, I am always impressed! Adam has always done a great job coordinating my warranty, and non-warranty, service appointments. And every time I call the service has been fast, and with a great company. We have experienced countless issues with this company and their lack of concern, communication and professionalism is extremely appalling and unacceptable from leadership down to their salespeople. There were so many issues with our kitchen cabinets that we had to make countless reorders. There were mistakes in measuring and ordering correctly the first time and even the second time - yes, they can make the same mistake twice. They caused such a mess, stress and headaches, and when we reached out to get the right cabinets, accessories, and status updates we are not responded to, or given a million different excuses as to why something wasnt right yet again. Run, run, run. . . there are a million better cabinet companies in Austin, TX. Dont waste your time and money here!

I knew exactly what I wanted with certain products, and I was clueless about what I wanted regarding other products. I even bought and changed my mind on 2 bathtubs. However, it didnt matter how painful I was....Sacha Barnes handled me flawlessly! She is such a wonderful person, with deep knowledge, patience, and a sweet disposition. Because of her it was such a great experience. There were four guys that came to install my appliances. I wish I had gotten their names because 2 of them were stellar. One was the lead guy and another was the youngest of the group. They were really really great. Again, if I need anything else (not sure how or why I would, I bought my whole house from them) I wont go anywhere else.

Do not buy cabinets here. We moved into a new house six months ago, they have been out 5 times to try to provide repaired/replacement doors or drawers and continuously re-deliver further damaged pieces (or just simply do not have all of the pieces).The customer service is worse than the products themselves. We have been emailing and calling endlessly and they do not respond. It is a shame when merchants just do not care about consumers or make the consumer waste tons of time and work extremely hard to get what they paid for. Places like this are what give contractors bad raps.

Went to the Dallas store for some pieces for my home and I loved the store. I still love my appliances- so I took a friend of mine to the Austin store with me to shop as she was about to be a first time home owner in the area. The staff was incredibly rude was seemingly incredulous that “someone like me” (blue hair) could own a home. You would think that people working in Austin would be slightly more progressive but the staff here seems to be stuck in the 1800’s. I would rather order my things from the dallas store and pay for extra shipping than deal with these people ever again.

I recently did a kitchen remodel and got my new appliances at FBS. They were great! Besides being competitively priced, the selection was awesome and the staff is super knowledgable . Factory Builders is good on the sales end of the equation but fails miserably on the support of the products they sell. In fact, it is a major accomplishment to just receive a call back since the only way we were able to discuss the repairs we needed was to leave a voicemail with the salesman. The first time we needed support it took numerous calls to get help. This time, after six unreturned calls we get the message. They are not providing support. Purchase from Factory Builders at your own peril.

They are great selling you product, but their service and installation is terrible! They dont understand their own products, and simple things like connecting the gas line tightly or installation per the manufacturer is beyond them!

21 years in the industry working with Cabinet vendors, I have never encountered such incompetence within an organization! My first called was not returned for a few days only to be told I would be referred to a designer who would contact me back, after I spoke with Maggi to discuss my project I was emailed a week later to be told completed false information that the cabinet vendor would not be able to produce my order and I should contact a local wood worker instead. After taking 3 min. To the their supplier I was assured they would be me more then capable of producing the products and they got me in touch with the local manufacturers rep. After waisting 3 weeks (big mistake) trying to get Maggi to do her job, I flew to Texas and dropped in to the showroom and spoke with the general manager Paul... no wonder there’s zero ability in this branch, Bad managment is the problem!!! Paul offered zero assistance and only made the situation worse only offering excuses and shifting blame on the StarMark and it’s representatives. This is the only vendor in Austin for StarMark Cabinetry so I felt I was stuck with this poor level of customer service. I got back in touch the manufacturers rep and he referred me to a vendor located outside of Austin who I called, gave her the details in under 10 mins. She called me back in under 2 hours with a quote and we completed the order. While boarding the plane I got a call from the district manager Katty from Factory Builders stores and got more excuses. Luckily we had already completed our order with a better organization.Kodiak builders needs to look long and hard at this branch and do some house cleaning. Truly the worst company in your Brand line up!

I updated my kitchen recently. A good friend recommended CJ Smith at Factory Builder Stores. I am so grateful he did. It was such a great experience. CJ helped design the kitchen, had great suggestions, and followed the project through to the end. She was very thorough and even went the extra mile, solving a problem I had with my flooring near the end of the project. She came up with the perfect solution. Stacy Maggi is the project coordinator. She works closely with CJ and made sure the project came together in a timely manner. They make a terrific team. The installers did a great job. They arrived on time, did impeccable work, and cleaned up before leaving! I love my new kitchen and highly recommend this team at FBS!

I am a GC and my clients purchased a Liebherr 80ht cabinet depth refrigerator from FBS. The freezer did not work from the first day. It took over 2 weeks to repair the unit so the freezer works, it was a bad circuit board. It also took many complaints to get any response from FBS. I called Adam to discuss how disappointed my clients were and what poor service they received. Adam paid me lip service and then told a designer friend of mine that Dave is just a whiner. Well Adam youre right, when I see someone lay out good money for something that does not work from the git go and it takes over 2 weeks, yes I complain. Adam told me he would reach out to the purchasers, surprise surprise, he did not. But Ill stop whining now.

We recently remodeled our kitchen. It was tiny and we did not know if it was possible to expand. We were put in contact with C. J. Smith at Factory Builders stores and I can not describe how well pleased we were with the results. It was beyond our wildest dreams. Our new kitchen is amazing. Not only is it larger but the new design makes the whole area more efficient and flows into the dining area and living room giving the whole area a larger smooth flowing space. The color and the design she recommended looks great and compliments the rest of the area. This was not an easy task but it was obvious her past experience and expertise focused on our needs. Possibly the worst customer service Ive ever received. I had an issue with a brand new oven and despite telling me that they handle all the interface with the manufacturer, I was left hanging for over a month, without a functioning oven. I ended up having to deal with the manufacturer directly, involving multiple service calls and endless time on the phone, and when the manufacturer concurred that the oven was not repairable, they offered to replace the oven. I called the store to discuss the problems with the store manager and she never bothered to return my call. When I finally reached her in person she was disinterested in speaking with me or even listening to my complaint. As a fellow business owner, I am shocked at the complete lack of post-purchase client care demonstrated. I personally will never do business there again.

Adam at FBS has been taking care of my clients for over 15 years. I have been completely satisfied with everything. He really knows his appliances!
