What a wonderful experience, really! Mike spent hours with me showing me so many options and was so patient while I asked a million questions and then finally decided which one to get. The store is beautiful. Selection is enormous! And the service experience was the best I’ve had in a very long time. I am so glad I drove right by a dozen big box guitar stores to make my purchases at this gem of a shop! I emailed Mike about a few I was interested in and he responded right away. So thankful I can physically go to a store to try a variety of ukuleles. The store is such a joy to go into - so much to look at and play with! Mike (the owner) is extremely helpful and energetic about each ukulele he carries. I love how he knows the history and story of all the companies, luthiers, and woods related to each one. My husband and I enjoy our time getting to talk with him.

I had a TBI a few years ago due to a bad accident, have very high anxiety cognitive issues, and am really new to playing instruments in general. I have to say that out of the chains and a couple local shops that Ive been to, I feel the most comfortable at this shop. Theyve got a HUGE selection of ukes on hand and Mike is a really cool guy. The store, while on the cozy side, is very welcoming in general and Mike (I met his wife/partner a few days ago and she is nice as well but havent really talked much with her) is a genuinely cool cat. You dont have to worry about them trying to make a sale and Ive plunked around on everything from a $50 entry level instrument to ones way up there over $1k. I love the check this out! and positive vibe of the place. Ive come in several times to figure out what Im looking for and theyve been super nice and very patient. Zero pressure, great prices, great selection on hand and very cool folk that run the place. Couldnt ask for a better mom and pop shop where they really dig what they do. If you can manage, seriously swing by.

Exquisitly quaint little ukulele store on the second floor of Austell Threadmill run by EXPERTS. Today they had an event like Open Mic ukulele players. Pretty awesome Bluegrass, Alternative and even a little pop.

I had a mixed experience. Through Uke Republic, I was able to get an electric ukulele (which are currently on worldwide backorder). Unfortunately, the one I received had a humbucker that wasnt correctly attached. Mike sent me some screws to fix it but Im not familiar enough with ukes to have done it on my own. I ended up paying to have a brand new ukulele fixed. I am sure that if I lived closer, Mike could have fixed this pretty quickly. This is the downside of mail order ukes. Hoping to visit his shop after the pandemic.

This place is awesome! The store itself has an amazing selection of Ukes to try, along with a very knowledgeable owner. Mike took the time to answer all of my questions about the Ukes I was interested in and helped me make an informed decision on an intermediate Ukulele. He even took the time to help diagnose the buzz my current uke was making. I didnt buy a new Uke that day, but I knew I had to have the Kala Solid Flame Maple Tenor. After hearing Mike tell me that his friend helped design it for Kala, and hearing its sweet sound, I called Mike at the store a few days later to make sure the floor model was still available. I put the order in at the online store, and he had it shipped for me that day!!! It arrived the next day (disclaimer - I live in the same state as the store) and I was strumming right away! I purchased a Kala Journeyman Red U-bass, which was perfectly set up, ready to play. The price was exactly the same as Amazon’s and included free shipping. Amazon doesn’t provide setup, so Uke Republic is just a better deal. A beauty of a bass and my 4th 5-star ukulele purchase from Mike.

I ordered an Ohana ukulele from Uke Republic back in February. Having only played for about 4 months, I thought I had received a really nice ukulele. However, as my ears became more attuned to what I was hearing during the next couple of months, there was a definite intonation issue - especially when playing the A7 and A9 chords - muddy and awful sounding. The strings were changed on the uke, still the same intonation issue. I contacted Uke Republic, and it was suggested that the humidity and temperature where the uke is stored were too high. WHAT? It is a climate-controlled home, and the uke is stored in a case with a 49% Boveda pack. I was seeking advice on what the issue could be, and after I pointed out that the uke is properly stored, I have heard NOTHING from Uke Republic. They completely brushed me off and will not answer. I do NOT recommend buying from them, as they can not advise on what is wrong with a product they sell. I suspect that they knowingly shipped a problem uke to me.Edited to add: I took the ukulele to a local luthier, and the action at the nut was way too high. After adjusting that, the weird intonation on the A7 and A9 chords was resolved. (I am offended that it was suggested that it was a humidity issue!) (The action was also lowered at the saddle.) It will have to go back to the luthier because of an intonation issue that has been mapped out on the 6th - 12th frets - the notes are off by 1 to 1 1/2 steps. Frets 1 - 5 sound great and are in tune - the rest are not. Still a problem ukulele, but it will hopefully be fixed soon.

I ordered a tenor Gold Tone Resonator ukulele and being my first resonator I had a few questions. Mike provided all the answers in a timely manner and to be sure I was satisfied had a Good Tone rep call me. Thats customer service! The tenor likes to be out front but can be convinced to sit back and just strum along. I play with Craven Ukes, New Bern NC.

Great little shop. Tons of quality ukes and even more knowledgeable workers. Also, swing by Saturday mornings around 1030 am and catch the West GA Uke Ensemble and strum along. Whether youve been playing awhile or are just starting out if youre in Atlanta it is worth the drive to check this place out.

This Ukulele shop is inside an old - refurbished thread mill. If you are into architecture, you will enjoy the building. Uke Republic has a great variety of Ukuleles at a price for every wallet, and the owners are friendly and helpful. We bought a great Ukulele that works for both mom and daughter.

I live in Australia and they are great to work with. Quick to respond to my emails and friendly on the phone. Buying my first UKE I didnt know all that much and Mike was more than happy to teach me what I needed to know. It felt good working with Mike as I have seen him many times on YouTube.

I got a yearning to play ukulele again. After a quick search, Uke Republic seems to be the only uke dedicated shop in the Atlanta area. The drive to their location took an hour. It was worth the gas. I was able to play the instruments in which I have an interest and some that were not on my radar. I was very pleased with the environment and people. Im looking forward to stopping in to pick up my ukulele in near future.

I had a GREAT experience with Uke Republic working with a very patient Mike as I engaged him in a complicated return issue. He couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating and I love my new reso uke! I know some people hesitate to buy instruments online but you wont do much better anywhere than here. My husband gave me a ukulele for my birthday and I was lucky to be taken to Uke Republic to pick it out. I did some research online to learn about the different sizes, shapes, and wood species, but was otherwise unfamiliar with ukuleles.I had such a fun and educational experience at Uke Republic! A really important local resource for new or experienced Uke players. There is a ukulele for everyone here. They even have some vintage instruments. Theyre a locally owned business and have worked hard to help the ukulele playing community. They are wonderful people, too. I cant tell you how many new brands and models theyve introduced me to. I wish I could go to their store. I have ordered strings from them a number of times. 2 times they never came and they determined they were lost in the mail. They did resend and I did get them. More recently I ordered another set of strings and they havent arrived and its been over 2 weeks. They are checking into it but havent heard back yet. So probably my last order with uke Republic. :(

I love Uke Republic! I bought an Eddy Finn Ukulele and it plays great. I also purchased a case and have another on the way. I visited Uke Republic after reading about it in the local newspaper. The timing was good as I was just gaining interest in the instrument. Mike was very patient (still is) and took the time to teach me what to look for to meet what I was looking for. I am a life long guitar player so I am very familiar with stringed instruments. Mike knows what he is doing and most importantly is very honest as well as truly enthusiastic about ukuleles. He has put together a great shop. I am a frequent visitor and trust him enough to have a uke custom made by Uke Republics Sailor Brand Ukulele Co. If you are a uke player or are just interested in the instrument, do yourself a favor and visit.

I was greeted at the door with a cold beer and a warm grilled cheese sandwich. Cheddar. Sharp. The sound of tropical music swept over me as I entered the shop and the smell of finely crafted Koa and Mahogany tickled my nostrils. The owners were all Sup Brah? You like try one ukulele? They were so chill. Like no pressure. So, I checked out the store: It was like ukes galore! For realz, I no lie you. Ok, I was lying about the beer and the sandwich, but everything else is true. One good place for buy ukulele. They got all kinds, check em out.

This is the best place in town to buy a ukulele or anything uke related. Their ukes are set up well, and very competitively priced. Mike and Donna, the owners are both ukers and love the instrument. They are always giving back to the uke community in Atlanta. They are not just uke dealers but become friends to everyone who knows them.
