Initially refused to send ordered items, once sent, they sent the wrong product and wanted to charge $20 to send it back then make us purchase another set of bolts for $20 shipping.

So many fields of work rely on parts that have to be precisely built and the selection offered at McMaster-Carr is just astonishing. Also, the ease of use of their web-based catalogue replaced their cumbersome paper catalogue. Sometimes I go on the website just to look around.

Incredible customer service. They are lightning fast to answer the phones and respond to email. The website and mobile apps are head and shoulders above their competition.Dont miss the will call hours - especially on Saturday. If you need something fast, you can drive over. They also have same day delivery for the local area if the order is placed in the morning.

I ordered $6 worth of product online. I was NOT given an amount or even an estimate for shipping at the time the order was placed. That should have been a sign right there for me to back away. I live in Ohio where this company is at, and am well aware of how much it costs to ship packages around the country. 28.00 for shipping is rediculous! No wonder you hide that fact! There is not a person I know or will ever meet that wont hear about how this company hides these costs from their customers until its too late. If it would have been listed on the order prior to finalizing my order I would have opted out but was not given a choice. I hope the 20 bucks you stole from me is worth the publicity youll get from me? In store experience may be different but Ill never know because McMaster-Carr is no longer an option for us!

I have never seen an app that so clearly explains a product before. McMaster-Carr does a phenomenal job at providing a wealth of knowledge to their buyer in the free app. Extremely helpful. Love this company and their specialty hardware.

I bought a 12 point impact socket it rounded out not even one full turn I called for a replacement as it was defective and was charged for the second time as they saved my card as I wasn’t asked for them to do so as I’m not a charge account and the first one was defective and the samething happend with the second charged again and it was sopost to be a replacement and it was also defective I was told this information wasn’t being passed on to the next person. Glad I didn’t buy anything more expensive and have this happen. I’ll just stay with snap on from now on

Ive been a loyal McMaster-Carr customer for well over a decade. As a mechanical engineer and product designer, theyre my go-to source and first stop for just about every imaginable material, component or tool for which I have a use. Their website is phenomenal - it sets a new standard for ease of use and for parametric searching. Their customer service is also excellent. I cant say enough good things about this company. This is not a paid or compensated endorsement.

They always try their best here no complaints and Ive been here about a dozen times so far

The customer service was great, and they had what i needed. That being said though, I was told they do not accept Discover card or even plain old cash. For that reason I could not complete my purchase and took my business elsewhere.

Customer service was prompt, and responsive. I wouldnt mind giving them our business, but their prices are significantly higher than competitors in the area. At least for ground flat stock. Was referred to their website for pricing, doesnt seem like they have sales reps.

I love McMaster Carr and feel so fortunate to have one of their warehouses in town. They have everything you would ever need in stock and ready for pick-up at will call in an hour. Everyone here is very nice and they all seem to love their jobs.

Overpriced and not reliable. Also, the drawings do not always match the CAD model/parts and their people change orders without authorization. Do NOT order customized parts (specials where they have to make them custom) - they WILL be late and you will have an angry customer!! Dealing with all of this right now and its like they have 5th graders running the customer service center. When you get Moe, then call back and get Larry, you just have to give up! They change the part numbers of everything they sell - you can find them at the original seller for a much lower price, but you might have to dig for it. They (intentionally, I suspect) do not give the cross-reference numbers so you cant figure out who actually makes the parts. Some things are literally marked up almost 200% (2X).

1) Weve read lots of comments about McMaster-Carr not publishing their shipping rates. We ordered two stainless steel ball bearings (1 1/2 and 1) and the ground shipping was estimated to be $5. (I contacted Customer Service by email before placing the order; they responded with a shipping estimate within 5 minutes!) 2) I was having difficulty getting their system to accept our order. After entering our info 3 times, I called Customer Service and the representative stayed on the phone with me for about 15 minutes until the order would place. Turns out I left a required field blank (I dont see well). The representative was SO patient and sweet; it didnt matter in the least that our order was only $20. This is how Customer Service should be. BRAVO, McMaster-Carr!

I wish we would have McMaster Carr in Germany too. They saved my trips for installation of machines or updates already many times - you find all that stuff which is not that easy to get - metric and british inch fittings, tubes, compression rings etc. and get it the latest the following day! Best ever for industrial supplies!
