Came to Ace Hardware to match white trim paint. Modern tech can match paint with Lasers. I came 10 minutes before closing time., Luke was very helpful and willing to make sure the paint match was correct. Thanks for exceptional customer service.
This was the first, and last, time I tried to shop here, and I was appalled by the lack of customer service. I wish I could give 0 stars rather than 1 star. On Thursday at 5:44pm, I placed an order online for 2 large bags of Milorganite so I could pick them up on Friday or Saturday. Within an hour, I received the second email letting me know that my order was ready for pickup and that I needed to come within 5 days. I didnt have a chance to come Friday so I drove down to the store Saturday for the sole purpose of picking up these items. When I was at the counter to pick up the bags, they had 2 large bags of Milorganite, but they told me they couldnt fulfill my order. I showed my two emails (the order, then the pickup email) and they confirmed in their systems that I had placed the order and paid for the order. Even though the two bags were sitting there within 2 feet of me, they assured me those two bags were for someone else and they refused to fulfill my order. What?!?! They could have given me those 2 bags and called the other client to let them know they were out. They could have given each of us 1 bag. They could have offered to look in their systems to see when a new shipment may arrive. They could have offered to look and see if a nearby store had anything in stock. Instead, they canceled my order. Worst customer service Ive experienced in a long time, and I will never shop here again.
Frustrating experience trying to get propane. Either the equipment they have doesn’t work properly or their employees aren’t trained adequately. They told me I have a tank that can’t be filled because of it’s design (?), which simply isn’t true as I’ve had it filled at propane businesses in the recent past without issue. If you need propane, do yourself a favor and support a local propane business rather than waste your time here.
Ordered some 3M strips online to take advantage of a $5 coupon Ace kept spamming me. I placed the order about an hour and a half before closing and decided to head over to the store about 15 mins before closing so I could finish my project. There were many employees standing around leaning on things but my online order was not processed yet. The employees were unwilling to process my order while I was in the store. The money is taken out of my account and there are plenty of employees with little to do yet I still cant pick up my order today. It appears its best to stick with the 2 big box stores up the street. We all know their prices are less expensive than Ace Hardware anyway.
They had everything I needed love the place. The employees knew what they were talking about.

No help at register and card machines were not working. Saturday 9-5 3:35pm. Other employees were in the store but not helping at check out. I did not get the prices for some nuts and bolts and cashier would’t help look up price. She asked me to guess, which I could have but I had no idea so she asked me to go back and get prices. I already waited in check out for five minutes and the check out line was six deep. I just said forget it, which seemed fine with her and I left without getting what I needed. Frustrating.
Fantastic service. Even on a busy Labor Day they worked hard to meet all the customer’s needs. I highly recommend!

I think Ace has a very clear opportunity as a company to reinvent themselves. They have done a good job with carrying quality products and having a really good staff that is ready and willing to help you out. However, how do you get consumers to come to Ace for something other than grills and replacement keys. If you continue to expand on your brand, listen to the consumer, and connect them with products they REALLY want, that is going to be what sets you apart from the competition.For this particular Ace, it is super convenient for me, they carry the products I want/need, and the staff is always extremely helpful. I will definitely be back.

I have been visiting this neighborhood Ace store for some time now. I have never had a bad experience. I have used their items for many projects from building scooters to painting to grilling. They have a very good selection of hardware, garden, and general household needs. I have found them to be convenient, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. And my boys love that overall tool experience that Im trying to model for them. Hats off to the manager Joe, Jan, Jennifer, Devon, Michelle, and Brooke. If I forgot any of their crew I apologize. You serve as an excellent niche in our community. Keep up the hard work you guys!
Went out of my way to go to this store because they cut car keys. Went in, no other customers around and was told they couldnt do it today because they had too much side work to do. What kind of customer service is this? Surely looking after customers comes first. Shoddy operation.
I had a strange experience at this store today at 1:52 p.m. The moment, and I do mean the exact moment that I stepped foot inside the door the clerk at the front register, (the receipt identifies her as JBill), called out to me very loudly, May I help you? At first I continued to walk forward because, after all, its a store. Its not a drive-up window or teller window at a bank. But then, she called out even more loudly, May I help you? She was craning her neck and standing on her tippy-toes trying to see me. There were other customers trying to see why she was yelling. The way the store is set up there are shelves and products in sort of a maze that directs people through to the cash registers. She and I were separated by those shelves. I said, Im here to get a key made and purchase a hide-a-key. I went around the shelves through the maze to the other side of the counter to where I could speak to her without yelling. By this time she had started to wait on another customer. She said, with her back to me, Im sorry I didnt hear you. I was not going to allow her to continue to help another customer and ignore me when she had drawn so much attention to me the moment I walked in the store. So I repeated myself. She pointed me to the key counter toward the back of the store and then said I will call back there and let them know you are coming. Really? Im not sure what that was all about. But I think it was racial profiling. Im an African American woman and I had on my sons sweat jacket. Thats all I can think of. I did not hear her call out that way to not one other customer that came through the doors while I was in the store. I went ahead and got keys made. The man at the key shop was pretty friendly and helpful although he could not refrain from talking to other customers, asking what they needed, and assuring them that he would be right with them during the brief time that it took to make two keys for me and put caps on them. Ridiculous. I grow tired of this kind of behavior. You people should really be ashamed of yourselves! Your minds are so closed that Im not even sure youre fully aware of what you do. Ace Hardware, you need to do a better job of training your employees to at least try to hide their bias and racist programming.
I have always found this stores employees to be very polite, professional, helpful and ethical. I love going in and know that if I need help, someone is usually readily available to assist me.

Theyre always so nice. Yesterday, I was just walking through the leftover plants while waiting for hubby to pick me up and someone came out just to ask if I needed any help. That never happens anywhere else.

I had purchased an item at another Ace Hardware on the other side of the state, we ended up not using it and went to return it to our neighborhood Ace which is this Saddle Rock location, at which point we were told they would not do returns from other locations. At this point I asked to speak to a manager because no signs were posted nor was there any info stating that on the receipt. When the Manager approached and I explained my frustration he told me that I should have know that Ace stores were independently owned and that why would they want to return the item. I pointed out the lack of signage and notifications to the policy and he reiterated the fact that I should have known. I reached out to their corporate customer care line which kept in contact with me and said the manager would be reaching out to me to resolve, well that manager never did reach out and finally when the corporate team reached back out to him, he told them that they would not reach out to me to try and resolve. The only thing that the corporate team could suggest is not spending any money at this location again and try a different location in the future. People talk about supporting small business but it is hard to want to support a small business that acts like this.
I went to this ACE one more time 10/14/20 after the manager replied to my last review saying that he would take care of the mask waring problem. Unfortunately, again, there was one employee not waring his mask. He was walking up to customers with it off and then went to the register and started checking out people with no mask and there was no shield for this register. THATS IT I AM DONE WITH THIS STORE.I have stopped using this Ace store,the last time I was in there 2 of the 4 employees were not wearing their masks. If you are concerned about your health go someplace else. It will be some time before I will I try using this store again.This is a hardware store for the home owner and less for the contractor. More intelligent help than you can shake a stick at.
I needed screens and I needed them in a hurry due to closing the house I was selling. I procrastinated and did not get my order in until the day before I needed them done. The saying failure to plan on your part does constitute an emergency on mine does not apply at ACE. I explained my situation to the folks at ACE and they said they would see what they could do but the normal time for screens was 3-5 days. The next day I received a call saying my screens were ready. I picked them up and everything fit perfectly. I would highly recommend this location to anyone!

Some of the rudest customer service Ive experienced. Brooke was annoyed that we came in a little before closing time for a few things. After finding what we wanted and waiting for the guy who fills the propane to help another customer she explained in a rude tone that its 8 oclock and were closed you can come back tomorrow morning. After I told her hat was unexceptable we got the propane filled and asked to ring a couple of high ticket items seperarely. We received a very loud deep sigh. Very rude. Its apparent that Brooke had some where she would rather be than at work. Hopefully the manager will attend to customer service training of rude Brooke. However the adult in the store was very helpful, unfortunately I was so annoyed with Brooke that I didnt catch his name.
I went I to Ace to have two screens created and one corner of one repaired. The one I needed a new corner on was the same size as I needed the other two so I figured that it would work out. I waited almost two weeks and got the screens back. When I went to install them I the windows the topor bottom would fall out. I was not sure what was wron until I put one of the new screens up against o e I already had and they were a quarter o an inch too short. All of them would no longer for the windows. I called when I found out and the manger I spoke to did not seem to grasp that there was a problem. I went you f and round with him and finally gave up, frustrated. Years ago I had another Ace up north create/replace 9 screens for me after a hail storm, they did a great job. One of those did not fit and they replaced it right away, no worries. This Saddle Rock Ace Hardware doesnt seem to know what is going on or how to speak to customers when there is an issue. I know I will never return here, after dropping almost $110 on two new and one repaired screen it is not worth my time to get the wrong sized screens back.I would have given them less stars but I could not go lower than one.
