Always stocked, organized and clean. Love that I can get in and out quickly and save money! Staff is very friendly and helpful too.

Very crowded staff is not quite friendly some are rude for most part i usually avoid this place but they do have convenient things like there warm food and there warm flour tortillas but other then that i usually dont like the crowded parking and the crowded space

They have prepared food here. Above what other Mexican stores has. They make their own corn tortillas. Nice people.

I have had good and bad experiences in this place. Overall the best place to get fresh vegetables here is good but need to do better service at the food station. Lack of service it can frustrate a customer that keeps on waiting for food.

Ive ordered catering from here quite a few times and I always say I will do a review but forget. I ordered catering again this weekend and everything was piping hot and delicious. I ordered beef barbacoa, mexican rice, refried beans, salad, nopales (cactus), salsa and even chips and tortillas. (Ive had mole, pollo en crema, guisados- all delicious) Everyone raved about the food and asked where I ordered it from. And the portions are very generous! Im a new fan of their chips and tortillas too. They tasted homemade. I discovered they are from their own tortilleria in Aurora- El Valle Florido. I will be making stops there for sure. Pickup is super easy too and they even take it to your car for you. Winner! Be sure to give El Paso Grande a try for your next Fiesta and you will not be disappointed!

Im amending my original rating. I originally wanted to give this place five stars, but my app wasnt allowing me to. Ive been going here for years and I will continue to do so. Ive never had any issues whatsoever going here, despite the fact that my spanish is very poor. When I cant find what Im looking for at other places, I tend to find it here. This is a regular spot for me.

Very small store. The special prices were great but regular priced items I have found in other stores at better prices. Their cooked food items were really good. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful

Great experience! Really liked the home-made food bar (Flautas were a hit with my daughter, the Barbacoa pictured below on a tortilla & heated up at home was tasty with flavors of clove & cinnamon, and their home-made Tamales were nothing short of excellent -- some of the best in Chicago!).The staff was very helpful so be sure to ask them for any questions (I was looking up a name on a package on my phone, in my search for Mexican Oregano, and one of the people who worked there stopped to help me with that, confirmed my other purchase of dry white corn as I try to make Pozole, and even recommended the amount of pork shoulder to buy).The bakery items looked delicious, and the meat & fish counter was very well maintained, as was all of the store for that matter.Ill definitely be returning, and thanks for a great experience for me & my daughter looking for a great Mexican grocery store.

My spanish isnt great. All employees here do a good job talking in english when I have a problem finding items.

Love their hot plate selection you take to go, they change it up so you do not get the same thing all the time authentic Mexican food. they make their own tortillas in the store. It is also a grocery store they sell pinatas there too.

Place gets packed on weekends, with people waiting for servers to rudely give them hot meals. The servers give you portions based on whatever they feel like which for me was more oil/Manteca than food.

My mom found a band aid in her fresh masa that she purchased here last week. She didn’t notice it until a day later when she used it.

I really like their menudo. Their other prepared foods are really delicious, too. It would not be an understatement that you can overbuy in the prepared foods alone.

This super market has all your mexican products for your house, specially the meats they sale are really good. And probably the best its their deli with the different dishes and fresh made tortillas. The food its to die for. We get awesome food every weekend.

I dont like this store. There is barely any space to walk between aisles, and the heavy meat smell does not go away. I also think it is too crowded. But some of the food items they prepare are very tasty.

Went way out our way to buy the makings for Tamales. While their we purchased some of their own homemade Chicken Tamales, two for my Wife and two for myself. My Wife had some chicken in hers, but the ones I got, one with very small Chicken piece and the other NO CHICKEN at all. I feel as I got ripped off.I would never buy any of their Tamales again!!

My overall experience was Awesome very knowledgeable staff Norma is whom I delt with I was looking for turmeric and I didn’t know how to say it in Spanish the workers worked together on finding it for me quickly had I had great conversation with them ♥️Food is always amazingly delicious 😋 been a long term customer since I was a young girl ♥️
