Ambient: hole in the wallService: what service?Food: 4 stars!Authenticity: 100%At first impression, it is a typical kabob joint + bakery + grocery you would find along the eastern Mediterranean / West Asia. Service is non existence, so you would strictly come here for the food — to go!Our favs are the chicken and sultani kebob. Dishes are $9-13, not bad. Sizes are normal for the $. The taste is as expected and consistent. Too bad they dont open late - because this place would make a great after hours/hangover joint!
Best shawarma in town. Cant go wrong with any of their menu item.
Had this place for lunch and it was so good, I had to stop and get the family dinner. Definitely a favorite now. I also believe it’s a decent value for how much food you get.
Ordering will yake 20 minPreparing will take 20 minutesPacking will take 5 minsExpect 45 minutes time
Their chicken shawarma is great, especially the marination of the chicken is unique. I love their breads. There are handmade products like yogurt, which is authentic, reminding me the yogurts that I eat in the village. Ranch sauce could be better, with better spices. Great price compare to performance, but the taste of beef products (ground beef kabab, gyro, burger) are below my expectation. The ground beef kabab and gyro are elastic. I expect food the disperse in the mouth. The ambiance is not very impressive, but I am not expecting much from it.The cons of the restaurant;Beef productsWhite sauce(ranch)AmbianceThe pros of the restaurant;PriceChickenBreadYogurt
Over the years the food quality is slowly becoming worse and worse. The food oily and yu can see the rice being old. I moved here from the one on Colorado Blvd because of the very same issue. This place has no concept of hygiene, the tables are always dirty, their utensils are covered in dust, and I just witnessed the owner blow his nose in the kitchen. It may be in your best interest to find another place to dine.0/10 in customer service.0/10 in hygiene.10/10 would not recommend.
The bread was cold and burnt… it had less meat the man expected!
I love going to this market and getting some Afghan food, like: kabobs, rice, lamb, and other stuff. I also buy their homemade yogurt and chutney, they are so delicious. The yogurt reminds me of how my mom used to make it. They also sell fresh baked Afghan bread, thick and fluffy, I like to tear it into pieces and add yogurt to it and eat it with a spoon, it satisfies so many cravings lol. Its a nice little place with just enough options so you dont get overwhelmed. I will be a customer for years to come.
Very delicious foods. Thanks dear Sami jan and Aref jan.
I have only had the chicken shwarma and tikka, but the meals are delicious. Wide variety of other products for purchase too.
Edris has the best chicken shawarma in town! I’ve tried a lot of other places, but this one is the best! Full of flavor and the sauce is amazing! This place is truly one of a kind!
I only will put 1 star for their bread. Other than that this place is terrible. The people who work there are so rude and the food was cold when I ordered two sandwiches. The meat wasn’t fully cooked. And they charge you for a drink even though you dont want to get a drink.
Sameer is a Horrible person,, food is dirty! I saw a mouse 2 times, and Sameer (the owner) was just smiling and laughing about it when I encountered him about it
I’ve always loved this place!! I want to know does the hours change during Ramadan ?
I dont even know how to review this place other than life changing. A friend at work brought it in to work once and it blew my mind. So much flavor, amazing food. Regular food will never be the same again.
They have great food.
I love this place, very good service, very tasty foodif you visit this place be sure to order number 13 sultani kabob, extra white sauce, that’s perfect ❤️🤤
Very delicious food!! Middle Eastern, South Asian mix of cuisine at a great price. I really enjoyed the #5 meal. They also have delicious snacks in the market section, I recommend the Glazed Rose Almonds.
Dirty place! Plus super weird cashier
This place has non existing customer service. It takes forever to get your order. You get an attitude for expecting a fast food restaurant to serve you in a reasonable amount of time. The quality and quantity has gone down hill but i kept coming back because i like the type of food and couldnt find an alternative. Well look further no more. Found it.Check out the Yemen grill a few blocks away. Better servce, food quality and quantity.
Great food, nice hole in the wall spot
Good place, small but hospitable personal, cheaper and delicious food
Ive been there 3 times btu customer was a very poor. NO Smiles, NO Polite. dont go there it is the worst place. I will never come back here. I wasted my time and money.
Best halal food in Denver
Holy wow. Holy freaking wow.
This is one of the worst afghani joint in Denver. I ordered chicken shawarma and instead been served with cold bread with chicken. When I told them to heat the bread, he throw the money on the table. Very rude and arrogant guys, running the joint. I highly recommend not to go there. The guy with specs seems having not a basic courtesy.
My son and I have been eating here a couple of years the food is always delicious! Would highly recommend for anybody whos got a taste for nice light wholesome filling meal.
Amazing food and a decent amount of products. Very friendly people, and great bread from the bakery.
Order shawarma, the bread was stone cold. We asked if the shawarma can be reheated or of the bread can be change. Instead they throw the money at us. Never will come back into this store again.
Food is great. Get the Sultani Plate if you dare. Yummyyyy
$1 for extra French fries! Thats ridiculous!
So delicious and wonderful
Nice food but price should be little lower.
Owner starting acting up when money got over his head. The food he gives you is less and less by the day but keeps bumping the price up. Lil dude also have an attitude 👋🏽 we need a new person to own this place!
The food is very good. #5 is usually what I get and you cant beat it, especially after a hangover. They are a bit slow sometimes and not for any apparent reason, as in youre the only one there, but it took 20 minutes to make the order. Honestly, its dependent on the person cooking as sometimes my order comes out in 5 minutes and sometimes 20, but I always get the #5. Well worth it if you like this type of food tho.
Nice place
Amazing food!
Nasty owner decreased the quantity of food and increased the prices. I really dont recommend anyone here. Rather you can visit Yemen grill just 1mile away. Food and quantity is really good over their. But here very demanding and attitude serving. No respect to the customer.
Only place I know in aurora where you get Shawarma
This two stars are given due to when I walked in, the person serving food behind the counter is eating with his gloves on right in front of a customer at the front of the line. He seemed to have no qualms dipping his glove with French fry and dipping it in ketchup eating it and then serving a plate to a customer. The tables look filthy too, yuk. The one extra star is because I havent tried the food yet
Good food
Zero customer service the short guy always mad I was customer 3 years but today was myLast day no respect but the food is ok good luck with your attitude
These people dont know how to operate a business. Timing says its open until 8 but I went at 6 and it was closed. This happened now couple of times sometimes they close at a right time that is shown on Google. And sometimes they just close early. I think they should act responsible.
Pros: Only for good chicken Shawarma rice and gyros.Cons: Owner/Employee is too rude for customer. whenever you call after 7 PM he always say that he is going close in 5 minutes.. Their official closing hour is 8 PM.
Need to be improve need more cleaning.
Great customer service and prices. My family buys from them the Afghani Bread every week. Also great food and kabob and Gyros.
Just The food is very good.
This place has amazing middle eastern food.My favorite is the chicken kabob. To ok be honest its all amazing. They even have great burgers and gyros.
Love these people! Always friendly and best Afghan food in Colorado!
Best Mediterranean food, However they decrease the plates portion
Great tasting quick bites. The food here has always been fresh and tasty. I have had almost everything on the menu and cant find anything bad. The naan they have are fresh and so good. The menu is short but enough to cater to almost anyone. The place itself is small for a restaurant. I wouldnt recommend it for a family meal unless its for a quick bite. I have almost always done a take out from here. They have upgraded from what the seating was a while ago.Grocery items they have are limited but specialty ones. They also sell meat halal here.Oh and for those people who think the service is slow, everything is made in front of us. They cant cook meat faster than the time it needs to be cooked for. I have never seen anyone slacking here.
Food is Great
Portion of food is getting smaller and smaller. Very dirty inside. Dont recommend!
This review is specifically for their chicken shawarma. Its excellent. The market isnt stocked like an actual grocery store, its mostly dry goods. But the bakery and cafe and very good!
The best bread in town and good take out food.
Great food and great prices.
Nice place and delicious food!
-Halal-Big portions can even make a big guy full-Very delicious-Free sodaI don’t think you can get that anywhere else for under $10. May Allah SWT bless you and give you your Barakah!!
Great food 👍🏾
Great food with good portion sizes for reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
Great food and service. Smells sooo good in here. I will definitely bring my family.
I eat here about once a week. The food is amazing and the owner is extremely nice. Highly recommend!
Hole in the wall joint. Great food. One of my top favorites in the area. Seating limited, so to-go is the way to go. Highly recommend.
Best naan bread in Denver. Period!
I had the lamb over rice. The lamb was very tasty. Rice and salad with the dressing had a nice flavor too.
Amazing food good prices lamb shank and rice with salad under 13$
Solid lunch spot. Great for meals to go
Good food reasonable prices
Food is good but service is beyond horrible towards women, my family member went in to get food and what happen is that she’s been told 15 minute wait. But wait, every person that came after her of their same ethnicity got their food right away while ordering same food. We go here a lot and idk if we will any more based on how they treat women or even someone that is not from their part of the world. Oh and she ended up waiting 45 minutes to get something that is already cooked and all they had to do was cut it up. PS. This place is very dirty and idk the last time it’s been checked by the city.
Food is good but unfortunately customer service not so much.
The best bread that you can find. Good people
I work across the street form Edris Internationa Market. I have nothing but rave reviews for the friendliness of the staff that works there, not to mention the food!! If you are hungry for an awesome Gyros, try 1 from this place. If you are a hot sauce fan, try a Gyros with their hot sauce. I am telling you that after 1 bite of this Gyros, you will be so addicted!!!! Also, try theif signature homemade Pita Bread. Good Stuff!!!!If you want something different than the usual hamburgers, chicken, or Tacos, give this place a try.
Best place to eat with best stuff and super clean and friendly middle eastern food
Negative reviews here on the service are fake. The service is fast and friendly. The food is beyond delicious))
This place is my favorite weekend indulgence. The lamb is a amazing, though I prefer the chicken cus of the spices used. Fresh basmati rice everyday!
Number 6. Thank me later
I dont really shop there but the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Ive ordered for a big party from him and the food was fresh and delicious and on time.
Awesome food
Man! The food is real deliciousEspecially the chicken over rice
The Chicken Shawarma and Doner Kabob sandwiches were the best Ive ever had. I could eat it every day. Delightful and tasty. They also have international foods and the owner was informative and friendly with suggestions on a special type of fudge they sell and how to eat it. When I got home I tried it.....omg its divine! I cant wait to go back again!
Great food with pretty fair prices, especially compared to their competitors. They seem to have lowered their stock of items for sale, though.
Update: food just isn’t good to me anymore, but my fiancé loves it. Cheap, nice portions, tasty, quick, not bad at all, but I’m just not a fan anymore.Old Post: First, let me just say that I have had authentic homemade birayani before and have been looking for it ever since, even my favorite Indian restaurants don’t make it like that homemade style I used to get. But today, I had birayani here and wow!!! I absolutely loved it! Amazing. The meat is DELICIOUS! My boyfriend had the lamb and chicken shawarma combo plate so I had to have a bite and it was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe I did not know about this place! My new Favorite place! I love mom and pop shops and authentic food. The chicken shawarma and lamb were excellent, also. The birayani, though. Mmmmmm!
The food tastes excellent but its quality is unknown.
Food is very ordinary nothing special; on top of that, workplace cleanliness is an issue. I dont know why those people rated more than they deserve PRIMITIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!, they take customers for granted.
I have been coming here for a couple of years and there plates are the best in town. Definitely worth the visit.
Very dirty person, and expensive food
Very dirty insects on food and his meet is not healthy he must buying a dead animals the health department should check on him I am sure too many people had a stomach pain from that food
Great food and since my husband loves the food and people, they get a 5star!
Great food. Quick service. Love the kabob combo.
Try one of their combos (big portion and so delicious) and their fresh baked bread.
Quick service and delicious food with reasonable price.
Worst service everI ordered a cambo plateIt comes with a tiny bit of French friesI asked if i can have a little moreThe guy just said No NoI dont mind if he charge me extra but he can not say no to a costumer
Food is good but customer service is not very good. Customers who ordered after I did received my food. They need to organize.
Great bread and the chicken shawarma is awesome. When its busy the ordering/food pick up can be a little confusing, but 100% worth it!
Sami jan and arif jan amd the guy who makes bread are amazing.
