I really cant thank Michael enough and the delivery guy for the knowledge and help in selecting the right products. These gentlemen deserve an A++ for for what, and how, they do everything. When you speak to them, listen for the passion for what they do! (We never knew residential dirt/mulch knowledge was that intricate and refined) I went with their recommendations each time and, whats great, they never tried to up-sell me. My wife and I are Totally pleased with the dirt and mulch they recommended. Mulch, in particular, has been one of those things with which we have most struggled with over the years - for quality, look, appeal and that first-rate clean look everyone would like for their gardens. The Alabama mulch lives up to the pro-look, weed-barrier and moisture-retention we have ever seen on private OR professional grounds. Holy smokes, not kidding!Call them!Trust them!

Last year was the first time using 844 dirt .... I had soil delivered for my raised garden and I was informed that they recommend using their organic topsoil . Stuff was amazing I have never seen vegetables grow that good. calling and making orders and delivery is super easy very nice people to work with. I am ordering some gravel this year. I will always go back to them for my landscaping needs. Wanted to add to my recent review, i order some more gravel for another yard project, and again at no surprise 844 dirt came through flawlessly with no problems at all. They also helped me out with a special request, which is just another reason why 844 dirt is great and the only place for landscaping needs i will work with. Thanks again!!!

We called 844-DIRT to lay down dirt for a brush area that we had cleared for a horse paddock. Our land was rugged, uneven and had old tree stumps in it when we called.THIS COMPANY IS AMAZING. Stop your search right here.In less than a week, they brought out dirt and made the ground smooth and perfect for a dirt paddock. They even cut the stumps and cleared surrounding areas to make it look clean and perfect.I honestly had no idea how much of a difference that dirt would make for the overall look of our property. They went above and beyond and the quality is apparent.I cant recommend this company enough. Thank you so much!!!

This company proves that great customer service is still possible. I called to order topsoil and Mike spent a great deal of time on the phone with me talking through my entire landscaping project. The order was filled exactly as requested, delivered on time, and the driver dropped the load of organic topsoil exactly where it was requested. The organic topsoil product was fantastic, you wont be disappointed.

Called for simple advice at closing time and was answered promptly and the gentleman sat on the phone with me for 15 minutes even after work hours and walked me through a lawn renovation project.Honest, straight forward and gave me more information than Ive learned from my own research. Really nice and informative guy.Gave a price per truck load of dirt and literally walked me through my entire project right then and there. Just the information I received alone was worth the phone call. I would highly recommend simply giving them a call based on my 1st experience.

I ordered 2 yards of the Super Gopher mix soil last year for my new 8x4 garden boxes. The results were nothing short of amazing. My tomato plants grew to nearly 6 feet high and had incredible yield on each plant. My zucchini plant (1) grew so large, my friends and family were excited that we couldnt eat the harvest fast enough and had to share with them.Based on last years incredible results, I am building two more garden boxes this weekend and just ordered two more yards of the garden mix soil. In addition to tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini, this year I am also planting beans, radishes, cucumbers, and lettuce.I am not a master gardener by any stretch of the imagination, so having a soil mix that was perfectly blended to add nutrients, stay loose, and retain moisture is the perfect answer for me.The ordering and delivery service from 844-Dirt was very easy as well. At first I wasnt even sure what type of dirt to buy. After explaining my goals, they made a recommendation of soil type for my garden, and we could not be happier.

I called to ask about garden soil and their voice mail says they no longer deal with residential customers. It would be nice if their website was updated so as not to waste a home owner’s time

Nothing like the lost art of good old fashioned customer service! Never expected it from a mulch place, but couldnt be happier! Spoke to Michael and he was so helpful, informative, professional and friendly I will never go anywhere else. Prices are also clear cut so you arent surprised with hidden fees, delivery charges etc. Fantastic product to boot, so look no further!

Bought mulch from them several years ago when I lived in Aurora. Delivered it the same day at a great price. Moved out to Oswego recently and was pleasantly surprised that the could provide same day service here as well, with better prices than others in the area. Great lineup of all natural products, including stone, mulch and sand. Dont waste your time calling around, as these are the only people you need to call.

I contacted 844-Dirt Inc. for a school garden project. We needed to order a large amount of blended soil for our raised vegetable beds and they were wonderful to work with! They were very accessible when I had questions and extremely accommodating when I was trying to schedule a delivery time at the school and coordinate dates with our volunteers. The are very knowledgeable and provide quality products. I would highly recommend them and use them again for our garden needs.

Finally, a company that still operates on old values – Phenomenal customer service and an exceptional product!!! I cannot say it enough, phenomenal customer service (they listened to what I was doing with the dirt and stone(s) then offered suggestions and advice – I took all of their advice and it has paid off)! Exceptional product (the Super Gopher Mix is already working its magic on my new vegetable garden – my plants are leaps and bounds ahead of my neighbors and they planted before me). The Crushed Limestone (CA6) they recommended for a driveway turn-around has also lived up to their recommendation. They did not try to sell me something I did not need, as a matter of fact, they suggested I didn’t get something I was planning on (they were right about that too). I am now returning to them for additional stone and once again, they Wow me! Bottom line, I would recommend 844-Dirt if you want a great product at a great price with superior customer service.

Terrible customer service.

Based on the great reviews I called this company to purchase container garden potting mix. Sadly, I live outside of their delivery area. However, the gentleman I spoke with took the time to find out what my needs were & educate me on what I should look for from another vendor. Am I the only one who didnt know compost should have a spec sheet??Anyway, if this is an indication of their typical customer service, I am TWICE as sad I dont live in their delivery area! :-)

Purchased some mulch from them awhile back, they told me i could receive it that same day!! The driver was very nice and did a wonderful job placing the product where we asked.When he left he gave us some very clever gopher stickers!! Will definitely use them again!!
