I have been going to buy my eye glasses here for years because........ there is this eyewear design specialist there that is incredible. Seriously, I live in Italy most of the year, where a lot of eyeglass designs are created and manufactured. But I go back to Aurora to have Kristine help me choose my glasses. I’m not kidding when I say that the glasses I choose, well, maybe I’ll think they are cool for a couple months. The ones she chooses or suggests for me... they are timeless. She has a special talent for helping her patients get the best frames for their face, keeping in mind budget considerations, and any other special needs of the patient. Really.... I don’t buy eyeglasses without Kristine there to help me. That’s just how it is. The office has convenient hours - another plus. I see Dr. Thompson, who is super kind and a great doctor. It’s just a wonderful office all the way around!
Visits with Dr. Thompson are always easy and stress free. She is kind, caring, and overall incredible. Kristine Wilson helped me pick my frames and got me set up with my new glasses. Talking, joking, and trying on glasses with Kristine was the most fun I have ever had while shopping for glasses. We went through all of the frames I picked and she gave me her honest opinion on shapes and sizes to help me find the glasses that I would look and feel the best in. It was very clear that the point of this was not to have me leave with the most expensive pair of glasses but instead the glasses that would be the best fit for me and that I would be confident in. I sincerely hope Kristine is there when I pick up my new glasses and so I can show her and thank her again.
I have been going here for awhile now and really like getting my glasses adjusted correctly for my face, which is a challenge at some places. I especially like to have Salina Leslie help adjust and fit my glasses; she’s super helpful and very knowledgeable about the whole getting new glasses process. The location is easy to find and staff has always been friendly to me when I’ve come in there.
Salina is the best. She has patience to help find the right pair of glasses. Her suggestions on what would be best for you and your lifestyle is on target. Her knowledge is outstanding and I have the best fitting glasses I have ever had.
Salina was really great and helpful when I had to choose new frames. I had to come back to get a slight adjustment and it was fast. I would recommend anyone to Salina for her knowledge and helpfulness.
Debbie at the front desk was very helpful & kind. She made me feel welcomed and helped me pick out my fabulous glasses! Overall the entire office is a warm and comforting place & everyone is willing to help you or answer any questions that you might have. Thank You!!
I was in last week & needed some advice. The office was very clean & offers a lot of choices for frames. I was assisted by Salina. She was very informative & helpful.
Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. The Dr was very nice as well. You feel safe with the COVID Protocol in place. Great selection and price for frames and contacts. You can tell there is great management with a well running team. Definitely coming back again.
Great experience, very knowledgeable staff. It was nice feeling the DR spent plenty time with me and wasn’t rushed. Great selection of glasses. My glasses came and they were perfect and the beat lenses I’ve ever had. I will be back.
Great experience! They are taking COVID seriously and are doing temp checks, health attestations and providing surgical masks. They have a fancy machine that replaces having your pupils dilated and also an alternative to the air puff for testing your eye pressure. This was my first experience at this location and Ill be back! Thank you for being great! **They also accept used glasses for donation**
Great service just wish there was a better selection of frames there is nothing new an exciting old people frames are who they are for
I have mixed feelings about my visit today. To describe my visit in two words: adequate, frustratingEverything beyond the showroom was great. The Technician (Bennett) that completed 90% of my exam was kind, communicative, and super helpful! Dr. Lam was informative, personable, and efficient. However, my experience with the staff out front wasnt the best. I constantly was given the impression that I was inconveniencing them. They were curt, dismissive, and only helpful if insisted upon.Id rather give my business to another provider. I dont think Ill be back.
Ive been going to optometrists for about 10 years. This is the most unprofessional Ive ever experienced. I paid about $400+ for my contact/glasses exam, after insurance. This included putting lenses in my personal frames I had. The optometrist ran my insurance and broke everything down and charged me. Then optometrist calls me later and tells me I owe $120 and she added incorrectly (for the contact exam). I told them I would pay when I received my tax return within a few weeks. I was also told I could pick up my glasses when I received the email. My glasses came back, and I called them and said my girlfriend would pick up since I was at work. The woman up front agreed on her picking up and stated nothing about the balance. Then the store manager (different person) refused to give her the glasses since I had a balance. I called and explained everything, and she absolutely refused the previous arrangement (their mistake) to give me what I paid for.*These people really need some help from someone that knows how to run a business. Dont even consider this place.*
I had an eye emergency and was looking for somewhere that could take me right away. They opened at 8:00, I was seen at 8:20. The staff was friendly, friendly and honest. Covid policies were in place with temp taking and a new mask issued appon arrival. I will be returning for a follow up with the potential for an eye exam and glasses purchase.
Very very negative experience. Purchased glasses and they said it would be 2 weeks, I had to call them at 2 weeks and the said they didnt know what was going on and they would call me back. 1 week later still no call so I called them and they said it was supposed to be the a week ago and they would call me back. Another week goes by and I finally get the manager involved megan, and she assures me she would take care of it and that the glasses would be in in 3 days a Wednesday and she would personally call me. Wednesday comes around and no call, Thursday comes and still no call so I call end of day Thursday and leave a message for Megan, finally Megan calls me late Thursday to tell me they arrived on Wednesday. So to sum up over 5 weeks I had to go all of the communicating, everyone I talked to dropped the ball including the manager definitely very frustrating. Get your prescription from the optometrist and go else where for glasses
Dr. Lam was very thorough and professional. Jan was also just awesome! They were both considerate of my lack of insurance, which is not something I am used to from providers. I was suprised and appreciative on top of the safety protocols being observed by the front desk.
There are many optometrists out there and I suggest you find a different one. They billed my wife for a glasses fitting she DID NOT do. She spoke with them twice and both times the rep realized the mistake and said she’d remove the account balance. Now we got a THIRD bill threatening to send the $130 balance to collections. After the first erroneous bill, my wife called repeatedly and FINALLY got ahold of someone. (It is very hard to reach these people on the phone since they became My Eye Dr.). The representative looked at the file, agreed that my wife never got the glasses fitting they were charging for, and said she’d fix the problem by adjusting the account balance to zero. Then she got another $130 bill in September. She called again, and the rep once again said she’d adjust the account balance to zero. Maybe the second time would be the charm? No. She got a third bill in October, once again saying she owed $130 for a service SHE NEVER GOT. And threatening to send her to collections.Fraud is real, folks.
I made an appointment for a routine eye exam with Dr. Hara Lam. To be honest, I just wanted to get my prescription so I could purchase contacts somewhere else (somewhere cheaper). After offering me several unnecessary tests, I told them I only wanted to do the bare minimum because that is all my insurance covered. Somehow, when all was said and done, they ended up slipping in several extra tests WITHOUT my consent (or knowledge that they were extra - like lens fitting), which ended up costing me $132, because that wasnt covered by my insurance. Even worse, they took several measurements of my intraocular pressure and said that my pressure was high and I could have glaucoma (I am a healthy 28 year-old). This had never shown up before on previous visits at other doctors. So they referred me to an ophthalmologist, who took a bunch of extra measurements and tests, eventually finding out there was nothing wrong with my intraocular pressure, and the eye doctor must have taken measurements wrong. This visit with the ophthalmologist cost me $300 SO FAR (the insurance hasnt yet resolved the other thousands of dollars of costs associated with the extra tests). All I wanted was to get my prescription from an eye doctor and my insurance would cover $300 of those costs. Because of the incompetence of this eye doctor, I have ended up paying $432 for a ROUTINE EYE EXAM. The kicker- my prescription didnt even change from the previous one. I got NOTHING and they got my money. This is why people are so distrusting of the medical establishment. I will NEVER return to Dr. Lara ham again and recommend you dont either. Now to try to figure out how I can afford to eat this month after spending almost $500 on unnecessary medical bills. Also, notice that they only reply to reviews that give them 5 stars. Goes to show how much they care about improving their care.
These folks really know how to take care of a customer. Dr Hara Lam was very thorough and knowledgeable and had a great bedside manor. Norma and Jim are excellent at providing one-on-one consultations and accommodating a customers requests.
I set up an appointment online a few weeks ago. When I got to the office they had no record of that and I set up a new one. When I got here today o was told I was risking the doctors health because I was wearing my own mask as opposed to one they wanted to supply. I explained that I have an allergy to the one they wanted to supply and the last time I wore one I passed it because my throat started closing up. I am wearing a mask, just not one that week make me ill. I was told that it didnt matter and that because they were eye doctors, not ER doctors that if i did pass out they wouldnt be able to do anything to revive me. I asked to speak to the doctor and 45 minutes after my appointment time she came out and said that their protocol was more important than my life.
Currently, I am a patient at this facility and come here for my eye glasses needs and adjustments if need be. Last time I needed an adjustment was a month ago. I was helped right away, as a guy took my glasses in and adjusted them. The glasses were returned within two minutes. Debbie on the other hand absolutely refused to help me and gave me zero sufficient reason as to why I couldnt simply wait until someone was available to adjust my glasses.(12:15PM 07/23/2020) . I would have happily sat there in the hall with my mask just to have my eye glasses adjusted. Thank you Debbie for a one star experience.Im editing this review to point out that I just had my glasses adjusted at target(12:35 7/20 /2020) and once again not even a two minute task.
A great vision care office. Id made an appointment, so I wasnt a walk-in, but I didnt have to wait. As soon as I checked in they had me started with my retinal and glaucoma checks with a great optical assistant. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The Dr was personable and thorough.
On my recent visit to the Aurora Office, I found the VCS office staff to be quite pleasant and professional. When Dr. Kenneth Phi greets his patients, its with a warm, friendly handshake. He is very knowledgeable. He explains everything thoroughly. He seems to love his work. I would highly recommend him.
Awesome experience! Friendly and helpful staff. They saw me on time for my appointment and were honest about prices and comparison of my options. Dr. Thompson took time to walk me through my exam results - including an explanation of my retinal scan. So cool! I will definitely be coming back to this location for my annual visits.
Great customer service and Dr. Pi was very through and explained everything thing to me and answered all my questions. I left knowing more than I ever had about the condition of my eyes.My “new” prescription glasses are better then I have had in years!Ron
They got me in with very little waiting time until my appointment. Didnt even have to wait in the waiting room even though the place was obviously very busy. Staff at all levels were very professional, thorough and courteous. Highly recommend.
Been going here for years, they are the only optometrist to get my prescription right
The Doctors are very good, Specially Dr Thompson. The rest of the staff need training in customer care specially the manager.
Great group of doctors and glass fitters who always put the customer first. There are many of doctors to choose from and there are both men and women. The woman doctor I go to is exceptional and she answered all my questions easily and in full to my satisfaction. Vision Care is a great place to have your eyes checked and also to purchase glasses if you need them.Mike
My husband saw Dr. Lundgren on his first visit and was very pleased. However, the person who fitted him with glasses was new and not very knowledgeable so it took a very long time. The following day, she called and said he owed more than what was quoted as he was not eligible for Vet discount. A price was given and he accepted. A few minutes later she called back with a different price. I have been going to this office since the 80s and have been really pleased.
This is just a profit funnel, not a real place for good eye health. Dr. Gerlock AGGRESSIVELY refused to answer any of my vision questions, processing me out into the lobby to spend more money as fast as possible. With a wrong prescription to boot, meant only to make me pay more for lenses which are both expensive and unwearable. Once in the lobby I should have seen the warning sign that the only few frames that are covered by insurance are hidden in a dark and dusty corner (this is not an exaggeration, there are no lights where those frames are). The place does get one star for the office staff being friendly and helpful, but thats all I can say for it. For this level of service, just go to Walmart vision.
I made the mistake of trying this Vision Care place. Dont make the same mistake I did. Doesnt matter if you have insurance, they charge so much that youre going to end up with a bill like I did. Even after paying out over $100 on the day of my appointment, they decided to send me a bill for the leftover balance after insurance paid out for another $90. Not only that, it was 8 months AFTER my initial exam appointment that they finally sent me this bill. All in all, they probably charged around $500 to my insurance and charged me around $200!Theres one machine they have that my optometrist in New Mexico used as well... my old optometrist only charged $20 for the machines usage... they charge $50 for the same thing!! In addition, the eyewear is also over inflated in price.Thats not even all! My husband asked a simple question regarding cost, associated with contact lens services. He had to ask them 4 times until they finally gave him an answer, which was that they didnt know. Really? Isnt that your job to know those things?? Without a doubt, they are some of the worst front desk people Ive ever had to deal with. They have no idea what they are doing and it shows. They must have a high turnover rate. So unfortunate! Because the Optometrist herself was really great. This company does not do their optometrists Justice. Go anywhere else! I guarantee you wont be paying as much.
I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. A technician named Noranda was friendly, professional and made me feel comfortable right away. The eye doctor was Sarah and she was very knowledgeable and fast and was able to identify my issue right away and give me recommendations. Finally the Certified Optician, Kristen was amazing. She went above and beyond with options for me and took into account my financial issues. She spoke fondly of my partners sister, also a client there, and really made me feel like they cared about each and every one of there customers. I will proudly recommend this place of business to everyone I know or anyone that asks my opinion. Thank you for a quick and painless experience.
Helped in a true time of need, I cant stress how awesome these people are. Great facility and Chris was amazing.
It was a little hard to find at first, but that was an issue of Maps, not the company. The fact you can make appointments online drew me in, and Im glad it did. The front desk was really friendly and quick to greet and help me. The equipment was all new, clean and quick. Generally the puff test is really hard for me, but they did a great job making it quick and efficient. My OP was excellent, she was incredibly thorough in her explanation of why certain things were occurring with my vision and helping to eliminate what I thought may have been the cause. I have some eye issues so she made suggestions to help alleviate some of the issues and sent me home with two trials of different contacts to try as well as multiple solutions, cards for ointments to help my eyes and a lot of information. With insurance I spent $110 for a new patient exam, contact fitting and glasses script. With a rebate my lenses are going to cost me $38 for an entire year- no complaints there. It was nice to have two people break down the cost of everything and discuss what y benefits covered. Glasses looked a little expensive, but I order offline elsewhere. This place is excellent.
I recently got two new pairs of glasses at the Aurora location of Vision Care Specialists and they are fantastic. The selection was amazing--lots of regular and higher fashion frames that seem really unique. My new glasses not only look great, but they are way clearer than the lenses I had in my former discount glasses. I guess you really do get what you pay for! Everyone I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I just couldnt be happier with my new glasses.
I have been with Vision Care Specialists seeing Dr Gerlock since I was a kid. They are always friendly, professional, and completely willing to bend over backwards to help you get what you need for your vision needs. The office is constantly investing in new and better technology, keeping up with research and development of new techniques as well as new developments in contact and glasses technology. The time between coming in for service and being helped is minimal but doctors, glasses fitters, front end staff and technicians will spend as much time with you as you need to have your questions answered and your concerns addressed.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful at Vision Care Specialists. Ive been a patient there for almost 30 years and it has continued to be a place of high quality and excellent service. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good eye doctor!
Everyone in the office was polite and professional. Dr. Phi and his staff are thorough and on it. Two appointments and we were out of there in about an hour. I loved how Dr. Phi took time to explain what he was looking for and what he found to.
We have been coming to see Dr. Gerlack for more than 30 years. She is absolutely the best in every way. The entire staff is always professional, helpful and friendly. My husband and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vision Care Specialists to anyone.
I have been a customer of Dr. Glicks for over 25 years. Although he retired a few years back, I have continued to bring business to this company. A year ago, my son who is also a patient, had a pretty frightening eye injury and when the ED doc called to consult for follow up purposes, they never responded. Now today, I tried placing an order for contacts and was told thered be a $15 shipping fee.....ridiculous. I asked could the order be sent internally to the Parker location as I now reside in Castle Rock. The order was placed and I just received a call back stating I would have to pay $15 in order to have the order shipped internally. Some of your doctors see patients at both Aurora and Parker so why couldnt they bring the order with them? Over this place.
Dr. Kenneth Phi was awesome. He took the time to clearly explain everything, and he was extremely personable. The was incredibly helpful as seeing an eye doctor stresses me out.
Everyone that I dealt with, from the front desk and the Dr to the technicians working with ordering your glasses, were wonderful. They were very friendly, helpful and explained everything in detail. Very nice office.
Check in is always quick and efficient. Dr. Thompson is amazing and takes her time to explain exactly what the problem is and how she and her staff will take care of the patient.
This place is great. I used to have a good eye doctor then didnt go for years. Finally went to a vision works or similar and the prescription they gave me was terrible and super pricy. Found this place not too far from me and have been really impressed. Appt was detail oriented and glasses were affordable. The young lady who was new really helped me pick the right glasses for me, that I could afford. The prescription is spot on as well!
The friendly and knowledgeable team at Vision Care Specialists in Aurora are great. Ive been receiving care here for about 7 years and havent had a complaint yet. I regularly wear both prescription daytime glasses and sunglasses and have always found the styles that fits me best, while not spending a fortune. Dr. Thompson is always friendly and the rest of the team is helpful and informative when I have any questions. Theres plenty of eye care centers on my side of town, but the care Ive received and the comfort I have with the VCS team in Aurora has kept me driving across town over the years.
I have been a patient at Vision Care for over 20 years. I always return, because my experience with everyone from the time I walk in the door until I leave is friendly, helpful, respectful, supportive, and professional. I always feel good when I leave, and they are always ready to help if I need it. I have gone to other vision care centers, and there is never the personal care and friendliness that I receive at Vision Care. I am thankful for the service I have received over the years, and this past week, and I know you will be, too, if you give them a visit.
I have been going to VCS for years, initially to their County Line office, and more recently to their Aurora office. I am VERY happy with the care provided by Dr. Kenneth Phi. He loves his work, stays up-to-date in his field, gives very clear explanations, and has a good sense of humor.
I have been a client of Vision Care Specialists for 20+ years and would not go anywhere else for my vision care needs. Physicians and staff great and very helpful and the quality of their products is awesome!
Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me and were very helpful.
They’re very personal, professional, and quick. The whole staff is very knowledgeable. I’ve been coming here for many years and don’t plan on going anywhere else!
Fast and friendly receptionists and very efficent willing to help. Been going here for over 4 yrs keep up the great work.
This is a very good optical practiceThe staff knows what they are doing, have excellent equipment, and are responsive to questions. Very good place to get eye exams and the right glasses or contacts.
Its been sometime since Ive been there. I have used Vision care for mant years and think it is the best. I only hope I can keep using it.
Everyone of the staff are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Have been going there for 5 years and am always very happy with my new glasses. If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would.
They got me in very last minute and gave a very thorough examination because of light flashes
My wife I have been a patient for more than 20 years, they have always been very friendly and prompt on appointments, each doctor that I have seen has been wonderful in assisting me with questions concerning the condition of my eyes. The optical department is always willing to assist you in finding the glasses that you like and fit correctly, even if there is a problem during the warranty period. Got an Eye Problem, this is the place to go.
Overall disappointed. Been working with my son to get contacts since last May. Long wait times for contact deliveries. 6-8 weeks! Then only one out of the three delivered were correct. When tried to return the last pair, they said they couldn’t take them back because contacts were opened?? Had to open them to try them on. Not sure of any other way?
Great eye exam with Dr. Gerlock. I have been coming to Vision Care Specialists for over 39 years and its always a great experience.
Ive had pretty good experiences with this office the past 3 or so years. Very nice staff (Jim, in particular - awesome!), good selection of eye wear, and they seem to keep pace with better machines/technology for eye exams.
Ive been a patient here for years. Whether its shopping for glasses or contacts I appreciate the knowledgeable staff and friendly doctors. Ive sent many patients here and Ill continue to do so.
Got a new doctor and wasnt feeling jazzed good about it until I met her. Dr. Salooja is awesome! Really like her a lot so far.
Each step in the whole process of check-in, preliminary check ups, examination by optometrist, and ordering of glasses was very thorough and smooth. There was very little wait time which I appreciate.
Thank you 🙏 you’re staff was great nice and professional
Very thorough care and great testing for eye problems.
Expensive
Very professional. Great staff. I highly recommend VCS.
I went to Vision Care Specialists for a 2nd opinion on my vision issues. My previous eye doctor didnt seem to care about the problems I was having with my glasses and dismissed it as cataracts. Dr. Sara Thompson is great! She took the time to listen to my concerns and together we discussed all of my options. Jim the Optician was just as attentive and even with a full waiting room he took the time to hear me out and educate me on different lens materials and the problems I might have with each one. I was respected and well cared for by them both. Thank you!
My wife and I have been going to Vision Care Specialists for years and are always pleased with the level of service and expertise we receive.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PHONE NUMBER -- unless you want to be robocalled into oblivion...Doctor was ok, but they messed up with our insurance more than once. Didnt return, its been years since our last appointment, yet they robocall, with no way to un-subscribe in the call and they call ALL THE TIME.
Came here 3 times. Less than positive experiences. 15+ year contact wearer, glasses for my entire life. The first time I came here, I was unfortunate to be the last appointment of the day, and they rushed me through as quick as they could -- I got my prescription, but overall a negative experience. I got the feeling that their primary concern is not care, but profit. The second time I waited for 45 minutes before I was seen, and had a different doctor, who simply did not listen to my needs or wants, as if my experiences with my own eyes and contacts over the last 15 years didnt matter. I ended up getting talked into contact lenses that were quite uncomfortable and were breaking after days (when they were supposed to last a month each) -- went through what should have been 2 years worth of contacts in 10 months, a problem with which the office was wholly unaccommodating. I have found another eye doctor that is much better.
Dr. Gerlock and the staff always take care of my vison appointment very timely. All the testing is done in one location. My prescription is filled at the same place.
VCS has always been #1 for me, but Dr. Kenneth Phi is incredible! He took the time to explain my exam in minute detail in a relaxed, humorous and informative style!
Alicia was a big help - fixed some frames we thought had to be replaced.
My family has been seeing Dr. Gerlock at Vision Care Specialists in Aurora since moving to Colorado in 2011. Vision Care Specialists meets all of our our needs from young children on up to an adult with a mild phobia of eye doctors. The staff are efficient, organized, and very pleasant to work with, and Dr. Gerlock puts all of us at ease. We actually really enjoy our appointments!
Dr. Gerlock is the best. The office staff is very helpful.
Very friendly and professional. They truly care about their patients / customers and very honest as well.
Went in there to attempt to use our insurance benefits, before we used Walmart Optical Center. We already had our prescriptions and after it taking awhile to get our information in, we were told that we had to pay $60 each for lenses/copay and then the cost of frames, which we would have some of it paid for though insurance but almost all frames were $200++ and very small selection. My daughter, who wears contacts, had already chosen what she wanted when we got our prescriptions. They told her they dont carry the brand, actually told us the brand in particular was no longer being made and we had to go with their brand, which we would have had to spend a lot more for them. In all, for 4 of us, we would have spent more then $500 out of pocket after insurance took care of their part.We walked out without purchasing and went back to Walmart Optical, our insurance doesnt cover as much but its better out of pocket expense. Better selection and prices. Plus we got the contacts my daughter wanted and paid less then $90 for a years supply. We mentioned to them about what the Vision Care Specialist lady tried telling us how my daughters contacts were not being carried anymore and they said they straight up lied to us because they ones they tried to get us to purchase were a more expensive brand. To say the least we will never be returning.
Ive been coming to VCS locations for almost two decades, and, while its not a budget-bargain-discount joint, it IS a quality-detail-service joint. The eye docs are first-rate, the equipment is state-of-the-art and the opticians have always gone the proverbial extra mile to get me the eyewear I need.
Very friendly and helpful staff from the front reception desk to the doctors!
I have been going here for the past 20+ years, and have never, ever had any issues. The office staff knows my name (no matter how long its been since Ive been in), asks how my family is doing, etc. They have worked with me in difficult financial situations, and in a medical emergency situation. They have a great selection of frames, and adjustments are always done in a timely manner! The doctors are amazing! I wanted to get lasik (when it was all the rage) and the doctors gave me their honest opinion. Dr. Glick is the best! One of the reasons why I do not want to move out of Colorado, because I dont want to find a new eye doctor!
The staff is always very friendly and make your comfort and happiness their priority.
Thanks Donna for doing a great job fixing my eyeglasses and providing great service after closing time!
Always successfully meeting my eye care needs.
Bought a pair of $340 frames. Noticed that lens rim was slightly crooked and returned them to see if they could be corrected. The optician took them in the back to work on them and returned saying that he couldnt fix the issue but would order me a replacement pair. I noticed that he had scratched the matte black screw head and backside of the frame with a screwdriver when he was working on them. When the new pair arrived, I brought in my old pair and pointed out the scratch to the person I left them with and asked them to be careful installing the lenses on the new pair. When I went to pick up the new pair, same thing - tool marks on my brand new glasses. If you go to better outfits they use non-marring screwdrivers to prevent this. The people were friendly, but at the end of the day I have a brand new pair of expensive glasses with some annoying scratches near the lens screws.
Came in on a Friday afternoon appointment, they dilated my eyes so bad that they stayed that way for most of the weekend. Then they told they wouldnt replace my frames in less left for a week. Also told me in a week, they would have some large frames in and would call me. A month later they called. When I came in, the employees spent all their time on the phone while I was able to type this whole review.
On December 14th, I selected a pair of frames from VCS and ask if I could sleep on whether spending another $112 for transition lenses would be something I wanted to do. I returned after the weekend and told them I decided against them, was there anything else they needed from me. No was their answer and it would take 6-8 weeks for delivery since I had a VA voucher. Coming up on the 6 week date I called and asked for an update. They then proceeded to tell me that I had to come back in because, I needed to give them some measurement. that they should have taken when I was there the previous visit, as if it was my fault they did not get that measurement. Irresponsible, unprofessional and incompetent is how I describe this business. If you are a veteran or not, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Dr. Rheda Gerlock is especially thorough and professional in her explanation of patient evaluations and recommendations for correction. Her counsel and recommendations for corrective procedures are detailed and comforting.Patient care and courtesies extended by the staff are extraordinary. Thank you, Vision Care Specialists Aurora!
Great people and VERY professional! Dr. K is a GENIUS!
Want to be misinformed and ripped off? Go here!!!Love the Optometrists and Opticians. Have nothing against the assistants either, but all the rest of the office staff are idiots. They calculated the final costs of my contacts after rebates wrong. Had I known this I would not have bought contacts. Additionally, they could not figure out what my eye insurance covered and did not. Furthermore, after my contact lens exam, I noticed I was not charged for it and mentioned it 3 times before leaving and I was assured each time my receipt was right, but when I asked for an additional receipt later for my rebate, I had been charged for it and my account was in the rears. Your mistake. Suck it up. I tried to do my due diligence and was ignored. Why do I have to pay for the mistake? After spending 2+ days on the phone with going back and fourth, no resolution; no restitution; just time wasted. After 16 years I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Great doc! Good selection
Love Sarah and the entire staff. So friendly and thorough.
Great doctor. Very expensive glasses.
I was pleased with the reception and treatment at Vision Care. I liked the fact that I did not have to wait long before being seen, and the exam by Dr Gerlock was careful and most professional. Special mention for the technician who processed me for Dr. Gerlock. Sorry I have forgotten her name, but at 98 I forget a lot.
