These guys know what they’re doing! I’ve had many experiences with them between lift kits, oil changes, suspension installs, and scheduled maintenance inspections they’re true professionals on the Subaru platform. They have a special eye and will make sure you are rolling out happier than when you went in. Not even asking they help fix the small exterior and interior things that are falling apart without question. I’ll always have loyalty to this shop.

I forget who sent me Eric’s way, but I got so lucky they did. Not only do me and my fiancée drive Subarus as our dailys, but we invested in a Baja as a off-road weekend project. It only took a couple visits to the dealership to realize we were in over our heads with it, Subaru wanted the shirts off our backs for parts that weren’t even OEM. It was Eric’s extensive knowledge of the parts that overlapped with our car that made this project possible at all, and we look forward to finally hitting the trails this summer after some persistence.One time I was really hurting for cash while a radiator blew out on one car and the other was with him in the shop, he sourced one, drove it down to me, and helped me with any questions I had trying to install it myself. I havent been to this business yet, but I plan to. Im slowly building (gathering parts for) an off road capable forester and every time I have a question Eric has gotten back to me quickly with an honest answer. I havent paid for any services yet, but he still cares to offer help and give honest feedback. The prices he has quoted me are competitive and I will always choose a small / private business over a corporation any day. I genuinely look forward to the day I bring my rig to him and let him do what he does best.

Great shop. I’ve used them for correcting my DIY lift kit install and again for just solving a mystery squeak literally in the parking lot. The owner runs a local enthusiast club and really knows these cars. I would definitely recommend.

Eric Stell is a wealth of information. He readily shares information freely, and will steer you in the right direction even if you are not going to be using him. A true asset to the Subaru community. I had a problem with my hill assist on my Forester, and he volunteered his time out of his already busy day to offer help in solving the problem. Although I fixed the problem myself, he still offered up all the help I would need to solve the problem if I didn’t.

I brought my Subaru Crosstrek into Eric at Slug Offroad & Subaru Repairs to have a lift, struts, and wheels and tires installed, and can’t say enough about how happy I am with the work. Eric was awesome and so helpful! I had an issue with my Subaru driving to the airport. I called Eric and he was able to get me in with no notice and fixed my car while I was gone. Eric has replaced struts on my 2007 Subaru and when there was a factory defect on one he replaced it promptly no questions asked and no additional charge. He also replaced lights and performed general maintenance on my vehicle. He is honest and fair.

Slug has become my “go to” place for repairing and upgrading my 2016 crosstrek (XV). After numerous disappointing experiences with the dealership I was glad to find a trustworthy, reliable mechanic rather than dealing with a revolving door of guys with varying levels of skill. Today Eric replaced my struts (which had blown) for significantly less (money, time and hassle) than was quoted by the dealer. The car drives fantastic and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

I met Eric a few years ago as he is the head of Offroading Subarus of Colorado and since then he’s helped me with everything including AC, clutch replacement, lift, full engine rebuild, and countless other problems. My main car isnt even a Subaru right now and hes fixed it. You will not find a more knowledgeable and honest mechanic anywhere; trust me I’ve been to them all. No matter the problem, he seems to know the solution immediately and explains it in language an idiot (me) can understand. He has found parts for cheap, and has even fixed things I thought might be a big deal in seconds for free. Best mechanic in Denver, period.

Had a full motor rebuild done to my wrx. Eric went above and beyond when some wiring issues caused a major headache. Got everything solved and motor is now running strong. Will be getting more work done by Eric forsure!
