This was my first visit to Ellis Automotive. It’s a bit further away than I am used to traveling. However, Ellis was AAA’s 2020 top Rated Colorado auto service provider. So I wanted to give them a try. And, they did not disappoint! Great service, communication and value. I will definitely be going back!

The service is very good except it’s getting busier than in the past. Jim& Kiley are easy to deal with. I wish it was cheaper but I know it will be done correctly and nothing unnecessary will be done without calling me.

I’m so happy my roommate told me about this place. Very professional and did not take advantage of me or my situation; there are definitely still auto places that take advantage of women and they were truthful about my issue with my car because I wasn’t sure if it was the alternator or starter - turned out to just be the battery. Great price. Great customer service. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this place to everyone!

This was my first time going over to Ellis Automotive since I had just moved into that area. Very knowledgeable and very polite. Amazing service. They checked my car bumper to bumper and addressed all concerns flawlessly. I am very satisfied with their attention to detail and they are very fair with their prices. I have used Jim, the head mechanic for almost 30 years. I followed him to this location about 20 years ago. He has taken care of all of my cars, children’s and many of my friends cars. They also check out all of the used cars, I have purchased ahead of time to make sure they are sound and a good deal.My current car I have is 12 yrs old, I have had it for almost 7 yrs now and it is still running great, thanks to Ellis Automotive Care CenterI have found that they do an excellent job. I find them to be very honest and the prices to be fair.I especially like that they tell me the next time I come in I will need … maintenance, so I can put that into my budget and prepare for it.I highly recommend this company/service.

Needed an overall safety check. Kiley gave me a detailed inspection report. Went over maintenance required. Mechanic answered my questions about report. No pushing, insistence that work be done immediately. Prices quoted were reasonable. Will be returning for repair work.

Kylie and his crew went out of their way to assist me without an appointment. I thought I had a bad oil leak and it turns out that the previous place I went to had put on 2 oil filters. They solve the problem they didnt even charge me. Definitely five Star treatment and highly recommended.

Ellis Automotive has been consistently dependable, great at what they do, trustworthy and more than fair on pricing. Car repairs are expensive. Parts are expensive. Once you wrap your head around that, Kiley and Jim make the repair process easy and go above and beyond. Sometimes, it’s a repair done for less, sometimes it’s a discount on the entire invoice and sometimes it’s just a job done well. We really appreciate being able to trust that Ellis will do what it takes to get the job done correctly. Definitely recommend!

I have been a customer of Ellis Auto for more than 10 yrs. They are always courtious. They explain what they found wrong with my car & what needs to be done to fix it. They give an estimate of the cost which is always close to or exactly the final cost for the repairs. They always answer my qustions in a way I would understand. They have also given me rides to work or home & have picked me up when the car is ready. I fully trust their work and will always bring my car in when it needs service/repairs.

Beyond that, Ellis exhibits everything I would expect from an auto repair shop: clean shop, friendly and competent staff, and thus far, trustworthy. As such, Ive adjusted my rating from 3 to 5. Ellis has earned my future business.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ellis replaced a bad O2 sensor in one day, for that, I was grateful since I gave it a shot twice but because it was such a tight squeeze, my patience ran out and frustration exploded.Sadly they charged an additional $127 for diagnostics. My experience has been that if the shop does the work, there is no diagnostic fee. I felt gouged. I was hoping I could find a forever shop close to home and thought I might have found it in Ellis. Maybe thats a thing now but I now know to ask.

I have taken our Honda’s to Ellis (formally Jim Paris) for over 25 years.When I have an emergency I can call and bring the cars right in.When I schedule regular appointments it’s always in a few days and at a time that is good for both of us.I look forward each time to waiting for repairs to be done so we can visit and catch up on our families.I know they will recommend other needed services and we can plan when to do the work and the cost.I recommend Ellis to everyone! I needed to get my vehicle in right away because I was having issues with it overheating. The dealership was going to make me wait for over a week for an appointment and I needed immediate service. I contacted Kiley on a Friday evening and he told me even though they were booked for me to bring it in on the next morning, which was Saturday, and he would at least try to get a look at it to get it diagnosed. I was worried it was going to be a major repair, something to do with the radiator because it was leaking antifreeze. But not only were they able to fix my car on that Saturday; which they even stayed after closing to do, the repair was a minor one, and they were able to do my oil change and fix a slow leak in one of my tires, all of these services for under $180! They even applied a coupon that I didnt know was out there. I couldnt have been happier! Kiley and Jim, who have worked there forever, treated me well, were very courteous, and accommodating. I truly felt like I was a valued customer and that they did not try to take advantage of my situation. I would highly recommend Ellis Automotive on Tower Road in Aurora.

This company diagnosed my transmission issue. They were very friendly, professional, and prompt with the service. The lobby was extremely clean and welcoming. Additionally, the tech who assisted me gave me advice that was useful in buying a new car. I highly recommend this company!!

We had an issue with our car over the weekend. We called first thing on Monday and Jim was able to get us in. This is not the first time that Jim has helped us last minute. I have been taking my Volvo XC90 to Ellis Automotive since they were established at this location (sometime between 2008-2010) and Ive never been disappointed.. Kiley and Jim are always courteous, friendly, professional and informative. Willing to listen and discuss all my vehicles issues, problems and repair alternatives. Theyve helped keep my vehicle running for more than 15 years. The value and quality has been exceptional. The mechanics are experienced professionals who know what theyre doing - not just oil changing grease monkeys. The quality has always been top notch and price low enough to keep me smiling (Thanks for the AAA discount!). Whenever Im not happy with a service or product, they do their best to make it right with refunds, repairs or other options. During my most recent visit, they correctly diagnosed a problem with my vehicles headlights, and only charged me for the necessary work to get my lights back on - No extra fees for stuff that didnt need fixing!. Its tough to find a mechanic you trust, but Ellis Automotive / Tire Pros definitely earn their 5 star rating.

I went to Ellis because my old shop had closed when the owners retired. My car had a battery warning light come on and was losing power. I took my car in and they looked it over and let me know that my alternator had died and it had taken the battery with it. They also did an oil change and in looking at my car had found that the brakes needed replacing. The technician told me it would take a few days to complete but I got a call the next day saying my car was ready to go. When I picked it up, the bill was significant but they had forgotten to put the oil change on the bill but they gave it to me for free, I guess because they had mistakenly forgot to charge me. Everyone was very nice and they even were able to help my mom with one of her.brake lights and only charged her.for the light and not the labor to change it. They also found out what was wrong with one of my tires that constantly ran low.

Ellis is our family’s go to mechanic. They are extremely honest and trust worthy. They were able to fix an issue in my Dodge Nitro that no one else could figure out. Just recently I had my Subaru in for a check engine light. They did my oil change and added some additives to the oil and gas tank given the car codes but did not want to do any other work until they could make sure that took care of my check engine light because they knew I had a vehicle warranty. Great news, the engine light hasn’t come back on and the car is running a lot better just with those additives. They offered to do a rescan as well to ensure my car had no more stored codes.If you are looking for a place to trust and not sell you things you don’t need, I highly recommend seeing Kiley and Jim at Ellis because they won’t do you wrong.

All around great service here. The staff is extremely accommodating with whatever scheduling or time constraints you may have transportation wise. Kylie, Jim and the staff at Ellis Auto were EXCELLENT! They were very professional and informational as well a great turn around time for getting you back in your vehicle. They made phone calls to me with every step of working on my car where they thought might be a problem area and as to the next steps ahead and explained everything very well, making sure I understood everything going on with my car and the repairs. Even though they were located pretty far from the area I live in, it was worth making the trip and I will definitely use them again in the future. This place is a great family run small biz. They have fair prices, do good work, and stand behind that work. I got the rear lights replaced, and a bulb burned out. They replaced it ASAP under warranty.

Front tire was making a loud rubbing/clicking sound. Took it in for an inspection. Turns out it was just an old/broken hubcap. Since they didnt repair anything, they didnt charge me anything. Their policy is to perform an inspection, then call you to provide a quote and confirm any repairs beforehand. Definitely recommend.

Ellis Auto did a great job on my vehicle. I took it to them with two major issues that were noted by the dealership. Not only were the issues not a factor they didn’t try to tell me I needed to do those repairs. These guys are straight shooters and never try to do repairs that are not needed. I took my daughters car in because it was running hot and leaking fluid, she also needed an oil change. After the diagnostic, Kylie quoted me $656 for the repair to the radiator and associated parts and I okd the work. When I picked up the vehicle, the bill was LESS than quoted because one of the hoses didnt need replaced as originally thought. I would definitely recommend just based on this experience and I will be back for future maintenance and repairs. Kylie was very professional,walked me through what the issue was and what was involved in the repair and showed me the broken part.

I have a 2006 Honda Pilot with 208k miles, bought it new and take pride and care in it. Took it in for some recent issues. Brakes were squealing when in reverse, engine had an odd flapping sound. They provided a full inspection report and with the age of my car there are certainly a number of things that came up. We reviewed all items and they were able to confirm which items were necessary for the next 15k miles, as I’m not sure I’ll keep car past that point. I decided on a belt replacement, battery cable replacement, and confirmed brakes were fine and squeal due to age related rust and recent wet weather (and goes away within minutes so they’re fine). These folks do not ‘over-sell-, they listen to you, they are price competitive, and provide professional quality work. They have been my mechanic for couple of years and will continue to be my mechanic for years to come on future vehicle. Highly recommend!

After just having gotten my new car back from my regular mechanic, it developed a leak. Not wanting to take the car back to the west side of Denver for fear of making an existing problem worse, I decided to try Ellis, which is much closer to home, and they got my car in right away.The car was done within just a few hours and the problem turned out to be a leaking upper radiator hose, the replacement of which is no small feat, given how cramped modern compact cars tend to be. That said, the price was excellent and the turnaround time fantastic.Im very happy and would absolutely recommend Ellis to anyone needing car repair or maintenance.
