Jane was a such a professional, knowledgeable person! Made going for an oil change an easy, effortless experience. Found a problem with something totally unrelated and went above and beyond to order a small part to replace it. I highly recommend coming here for an oil change and will definitely head back when its time to do again!!! Love supporting our local, small businesses!!!!

Jane and Chad are always great to work with! They are friendly and reasonable! I firmly believe that you get what you pay for! If you are looking for cheap you will get cheap! Their pricing is about average with other shops. I also like that I am supporting a local family who are long time locals!

Im not sure why so many people have this place a bad review. They have never made me feel like they are trying to gouge every penny out of me. In fact they have helped me, on numerous occasions, adjust plans on sustaining my vehicle by choosing what needs immediate work and what can be put off. And more often than not, the more people expensive fix is not the 1st one they say I need done. Its hard to fully trust any car repair shop but this one has my trust with my cars care .

They are friendly, honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. Their prices are also more than fair. I have never had an issue with them and Im honestly not sure why there are some horrible reviews. Ive had to hang out there plenty of times and Ive seen how they deal with other customers as well. They are always straight forward and are very helpful. They never try to upsell me either. In my experience, they are great at what they do and Im grateful for how well they take care of my vehicles.

My so called friend, Brandon Harris, a so called mechanic, changed my oil and didnt put the gasket on afterwards.....(smh) so my mom recommended Car and Truck Pros and i was highly impressed with the quality and the swiftness of thier work. They fixed the damage and cleaned my 300 up real nice and had me back to smooth operation within a couple of days. I highly recommend Car and Truck Pros to everyone.

I took my car in for an oil change and asked about getting the brakes done as well. Because my car is a VW Jane wasnt sure they would be able to do it. Later she called and said that they could do the brakes. They ordered the parts began the work and realized they didnt have the correct tools to perform the job. After keeping my car all day with nothing to show for it but an oil change I was charged $200 for the work they performed. After paying the bill I walked away feeling like a fool. It just didnt sit right with me to have paid so much. For nothing more than an oil change. I spoke to Jane who tried to tell me she could only offer me a discount on future services then proceeded to try and upsell me their Total Car Care Package. She said the package would detail for me everything that is wong with my vehicle. Not that they would be fix any of it I would have to take the car somewhere else. She said they only do tires, breaks and oil changes. We really are just a tire store she said. Why would I want a tire store to diagnose my foreign car when the dont even know how to fix it?Dont take your vehicle to this awful place. They will take you for a very expensive ride. $140 an hour to be exact, for a tire shop that is not a fair price.. That is the same price specialized automotive repair shops charge! Most auto mechanics in California charge $80-120 an hour labor. I was finally able to get my brakes fixed by a qualified european car mechanic who charged me less the amount Jane quoted me for work they couldnt do. Auburn is a small town with lots of qualified mechanics you wont find any of them at this establishment look elsewhere for people to take care of your car repair needs.

You can tell from the negative comments about rudeness and over pricing that the negative reviews are legit. This is absolutely confirmed by the owners extremely rude responses to negative reviews.

I went here to get a new battery and Jane, who was checking me in, was extremely disrespectful and rude to me. I was asking about prices and she was being really snappy and acting extremely put out by me bringing my business there, so I chose to take it to O’Reilly Auto Parts down the road. Randy at O’Reilly’s was great and fixed me up fast.You really shouldn’t treat people the way Jane treated me. There are plenty of other options for service in this town.

My wife and I will be moving to Florida tomorrow. Prior to moving we wanted to make sure that both of our vehicles were in tip-top shape because we will be driving there. It was a Saturday when looking for a mechanic and in Auburn the only auto shop that was open was Cars and Truck pros. When my wife and I arrived at the shop we explained some issues we were experiencing with our 2004 Honda Pilot. We needed new tires, alignment check, there was a oil leak and some shaking in the vehcile at speeds 65 or above. The service rep we spoke to was Jane (Co owner with her husband Chad) and she was able to provide us with details on how they wanted to tackle the issues we were having. It took a few days to get the vehicle completely repaired due to the amount that was needed to he done. Jane called me daily to update me on the progress of the vehicle and gave me price options that fit my needs. The three people I communicated with all in all was Jane, Chad and Ashley, each having there own customer service style and each with a smile. I was pleased with the price based on the quantity of work needed and I was impressed with the customer service. I would highly recommend Cars and Truck pros. Its a one stop shop that doesnt break the bank and leaves you filling happy when all is said and done. Thanks guys and gals, our vehicles are running great.

We were passing thru on our way to Tahoe and our truck was having overheating problems. We Googled ahead and found this shop. The owner understood our emergency and squeezed us in on very short notice. I had no idea what to expect and was much relieved to see a very clean and nicely maintained modern shop and office. Radiator and hoses were replaced and my 1996 F250 pickup has never overheated since. Thank you for the awesome service. Saved my butt. Opened early to get me the proper hitch to tow a giant trailer from River City Rental. Made it to the job on time because these guys went the extra mile. Freindly fast and didnt gouge me on the price. I will definitely reccomend them to everyone. I will be back for some sick upgrades too.

I brought my 95 Jeep YJ in suspecting a bad fuel pump. After checking it out and listening to the symptoms I described they suspected the 02 sensor. Turns out they where correct, my Jeep runs like a champ again. Very honest and upfront service, I will definitely be going back next time I have an issue I cant fix myself.

Down $800+ problems unresolved. Never returning and do not recommend based on my experience.

We so hoped that we could find a reliable, honest repair shop. Unfortunately this isnt it. Every time we brought our car in we left and then a related problem popped up. Always in the same area of work... Always another 500-1500 issue.We stuck it out for a couple of years and then had to come to the conclusion that we might be getting played. Recommend going somewhere else.

Their Smog Tech lady is incompetent. I brought my car in for a smog and she didnt realize that it came stock with a turbo. She refused to smog it because she didnt know her stuff, even after I brought in the California Air Resource Board manual to show her the rules. To clarify, my car has all the stock smog equipment. I brought it to California Smog and it passed no problem. If you need a smog, skip this place.

Dealing with cars can be a real nightmare. But Chad and Jane at Car & Truck Pros really came through! When a problem came up with my Son’s car they went above and beyond to help us out. I have found my happy place. Taking my car to the shop was always a very stressful part of life for me. I found out that the shop I was going to was ripping me off and taking advantage of my ignorance about cars. I asked around to find a shop that I could actually trust. I have a few friends that go to Car & Truck Pros and highly recommended it. I am now a big believer in this shop!!! Talking with Chad, the owner and one of the mechanics, who has taken the time to explain things to me in a way that I could understand has helped me get over my fears and distrust of repair shops. Terrible service. They misplaced my truck and then refused to work on it because it would be too expensive. Took my truck to another shop and problem was resolved for a very reasonable price as I had originally suspected. Definitely recommend looking elsewhere for automotive repairs.

We were on our way back from Reno and the rear differential sprung a leak. Stuck in Colfax on a Saturday afternoon and not sure how much fluid we had lost, CTP was the only shop that would step up to help us out of a jam; everyone else was closing and no one was open until Monday.CTP stayed after scheduled closing time to identify what caused the problem, replaced the seal, cleaned up the mess the leak caused and got us back on the road back to the bay area.The CTP crew really came through for us in a really tight spot.
