Also if you want to wash your vehicle they have a great selection to make your ride sparkle and shine! The tire service does include rotations and they have the ability to perform alignments. They stock a good selection of tires and have buy 3 get 1 free tire deals often. If they do not have your size or brand in stock they will order the tires that you want. They also can order new wheels for your ride as well. They offer vehicle servicing and maintenance from simple oil changes to more extensive maintenance. They will make appointments with you to have your service done as well so that you can arrive with confidence that your vehicle will get worked on when expected. Wether it be a new alternator, new tires, an oil change, some routine maintenance or even just some rain-x for your windshield and some new wipers to improve your vision in wet conditions, this location will try to help you get on your way and driving safely with your friends and family.

I couldnt have had a better experience. I needed a few things done on my car. But didnt make an appointment. Being a walk in I was not sure Id be able to get in. But, Steve the front service manager was amazing in getting my car in. He was very professional & friendly from start to finish. Especially when from what I could tell they were very busy. I really appreciate him going above & beyond to get my car taken care of and most importantly in a timely manner. Id recommend them to all my family & friends without question. I came in and my battery was dead I had already been jumped once, and was running out of gas unable to turn off my vehicle to gas up so I could get home, the service manager Steve, was amazing and put in my battery for me on a minutes notice so that I could get home even though they didn’t have time and I didn’t have a appointment. This Pep Boys, especially the manager Steve has really outshined the rest. I drove cross country from California for a visit this summer and my car ended up with some front end shake/vibration, that was quickly escalating to a major problem. So upon arrival I made an appointment to have it checked and fixed. I took my slightly older Mazda 5 (its such great little car!) to the Mazda dealer and was given the runaround, they were completely unable to properly diagnose the issue I had. I then searched for other reputable shops, and most were booking 3-6 weeks out, a couple were available sooner. I was trying to get back home from my vacation, not wait a month just for a diagnosis, never-mind any needed repair. I made a couple appointments with 3 different garages, and no one could get it figured out.After 2 weeks and many misdiagnosis I stumbled on Pep Boys while shopping for wheels. When I called asking for installation prices Steve the manager asked me in conversation why I was looking for the wheels, I explained that since I couldnt get to the bottom of what was causing my car trouble I was desperate to try what ever I knew to fix my problem and get back on the road. He gave me the installation price, but suggested I bring the car in and let Pep Boys see what could be the issue.Even though the problem was not evident immediately Steve persisted and he and the techs found what was causing the issue and fixed it. I feel much safer and have confidence that I cannot even say I can find at the Mazda service department (and more than one service department was involved in being unable to fix the issue).I have experienced friendly, competent and quality service affordably with Pep Boys in Auburn and Im grateful to have my car in safe working order ready to go!

I scheduled an appointment for my wife while I was away to go in and get service done. I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks in advance. She was parked waiting for them to open in their parking lot. She received a call to reschedule the appointment for no given reason. Definitely gonna be my last choice for services going forward due to their poor customer service.

I was hoping my problem was just a light bulb. Dave told me to let him know when I was there and he would put the bulb in for me (no charge). It ended up being a bigger problem. He wanted to squeeze me in the same day, but there was not enough time so he scheduled me for the very next day. Everyone there was nice and helpful.

Check engine light came on. Went to Pep Boys in Auburn ME to tell me what was wrong. Was an O2 sensor issue and they said they could fix it right away. I made an appointment to come back and my car was fixed on time and on budget as promised. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Never ever go to pep boys in Auburn Maine they give me the estimate to fix my car $880 and nothing wrong with the car and they told me I need a new part and I went to the different gross they told me nothing wrong with the car I only need two front break pad I only paid $36 and pep boy when they did alignment for me they never give me the Amazing of the alignment how look like before and after when Ithey’re-done when I asked them the imaging the picture what the computer read they always told me they not have a ink and sorry for my language and I never ever go there

Had my tires put on here and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful! Took about an hour and a half or so which I chose to stay while it was being worked on. They continued to check on me and updated me on the process. They also checked over the front end for me to be sure everything was going great. Over all a great experience for me and would definitely recommend coming here!

They have a huge selection of cleaning products and other quality maintenance and car show prep goods, as well as an abundance of other goodies for other folks as well. Pleasant customer service, helpful and knowledgeable staff, always a pleasant experience when I go in.

Very frustrating situation. I received service on 2/3/21 for a state inspection. I received service from your Auburn, ME location on 2/3. I needed state inspection. The team advised I needed 4 new tires to pass inspection, which I agreed to. After the work was completed, the rep advised that they do not have the sticker (Maine e-sticker) and they were getting them in next week.Called the next week, there was a story about having the stickers lost in the mail and they were working with the state to rectify this. Waited another week. Still not in, waiting to receive them. Another week goes by, I go into the store to ask. They said they are still waiting. There suggestion to me was to get an inspection at another location.Which to me, was a ridiculous solution for someone who expects to get their stickers in. The next week I decide to call out state government and vehicle inspection unit.They advised there has been no order for stickers. They also advise that it would be illegal for your team to advise to wait for a sticker and that a receipt would cover any issue with law enforcement. I call the store to advise of this and the employee which his name was Van and I spoke with multiple times said the state was lying.He did offer a free oil change and a refund of my inspection fee. He also made a statement, for vehicles that needed my sticker he has actually been advising to go to VIP because they were providing free inspections. This comment caught me off guard or made me feel as if they were never getting stickers and had no plan of helping me.I asked if he could call the state and/or find me a solution and call me back that day. He promised he would but that call never came.Im frustrated and at this point may need to get the Better Business Bureau or Attorney General involved as I dont believe there were ever going to be a sticker provided to me and I have no faith I actually needed new tires. Which cost me $912.38.I will not be going back or recommending this place in the future. I did receive good support in the past but this situation was not pleasant and still has not been resolved.

Woke up Halloween morning with a nail in each tire which I didnt know I only thought I had in one tire and I had to drive 2 and a 1/2 hours away. I called pepp boys and was ready to buy 2 new tires for over $200 I get there and there mechanic is so awesome his name is Eric, he is q of the most honest mechanics..he came out to my car and was like these tires are too good to put new ones on, let me fix them for yand save you a 150 bucks its been so long since I have had a mechanic be that honest cause I was ready to buy and its easier to put on 2 brand new tires than it is to fix 2 holes into tires but Im just so thankful from now on this will be my go to place You should make it yours... an honest mechanics you cant put a price tag on that!! But he will give you the best price and will also price match if you can find it cheaper.. Do to our experience and honesty we can afford snow tires.. see you soon !!

Same experience as many reviews on this page. Brought my car in for state inspection and was given a list of repairs which would have totaled at least $600. Read reviews here and went for second opinion at Berube’s on East Ave. Car passed, with no problems found that Pep Boys had tried to sell me on. They’re fine for parts and I’ve always found them friendly, but service should be trusted to someone else.

I went to Pepboys to get my car inspected back in March, 2021 and they tried to bill me for over $2,500 worth of damages for eight different failures. Although they stickered my car for free for a 30-day period to give me time to fix my vehicle, I immediately sought out different opinions from other garages. I ended up at VIP and they said that all I needed to pass inspection were new tires... The mechanics even brought me into the garage and showed me everything that was and was not wrong with my car.The customer service and conversations I had with Vaughn (rude and argumentative), Christina (rude), and Tyler (the one who inspected my vehicle) made me feel very uncomfortable. It absolutely seemed like they were trying to scam me and it felt like they didnt care about me as a customer. I had been going to Pepboys for months but always felt like my experiences were subpar and after this last experience, I will not be returning. Go to VIP in Lewiston on Lisbon Street if you want quality service and mechanics you can trust.

Im a former technician, and I advise my buddy what he needed for his brakes. Which was simply pads. His rotors had a tiny score in them but nothing that would wear the pads out exponentially. And I told him that all you needed to do was change the pads 4-wheel disc brakes, simple. Play twisted his head off and so ended up selling him for new rotors 80 something a piece in the front 60-something a piece in the back is Bill for the brake job was over $600. Absolutely ridiculous

Me and my bestie were just trying to get some aroma joes, then suddenly her windshield wiper snapped the other way AND it was pouring rain. we couldn’t see and literally thought we’d crash. then we pulled up to lee auto, and they said they couldn’t help us. so we went to pep boys and they fixed it within two seconds. thanks van.

I went to fix my car in Walmart and it was closed and someone I found in Walmart advice me to get an appointment to Pep Boys I went there in person and I talk to someone then a staff of Pep Boys came to see my car before he put me on schedule. Attempted to rip my girlfriend off. Her bumper cover had a crack in it and they failed inspection and tried to make her buy a new bumper.

Went in to replace all brake pads, first brake job on brand new vehicle. They changed front rotors and did not change rear pads, I asked to see old rotors, they we’re in good condition, pretty much new. Told me over the phone I needed them, I questioned there decision. Went to the service desk, service advisor says nothing, terrible customer service. So...Pep Boys Auburn Maine changed out parts they didn’t need and did not complete entire job I asked for. Bill $470. Front brakes are nice and new, rear brakes untouched. Dissatisfied customer. The service advisor is a joker

Took my car here to get inspected. They told me I needed four new tires and four new brake pads+calipers. $1200 estimate. Took it to a local place and was told all my pads are fine and I need just one tire replaced. Scam artists.

Great service. Went in to buy some wiper blades, mentioned that I had bought the wrong ones in the past and ended up having to return them. The guy went out to my truck to make sure I had the right ones (I didnt). So he got me the right ones and then came out and installed them for me. No charge. I didnt even ask him to do it.

Get your hours straight. Says closes at 7, but if you responsibly check that on the website before you travel an hour, dont expect to get in after 6pm when they really close. Thanks for the wasted trip.

I had an appointment, they were not ready, it took more than 2 hours for a simple tire swap, no bathroom available, I had to walk 1/2 mile to find one, then they lost paperwork and gave me someone elses, they seemed overwhelmed

Brought our 2015 Nissan in for a tire winter to summer swap our and a Maine State Inspection.Was told our 4 year old car needed ball joints that the e brake did not hold and marker lights were out. A quote was written for $1000.We brought our car to another garage and it passed inspection. There were no problemsIsnt a up sell a pair of fuzzy dice?While Pep Boys may be a good place to pick up parts and accessories DO NOT get any type of work done on your car here.

Went to 2 different places before going here. Neither one said ball joints. Pep boys said all the ball joints in the front. One of the other places just did a front end alignment, you cant do a front end alignment with bad ball joints all the way around. They wanted $1500 to do ball joints. Total rip off. They also said my rear wheel drive van needed a new transfer case. Ill just let you guys ponder that one. Terrible is a nice way of putting it. Stay far, far away from pep boys.

Great customer service and very timely work... but I needed my starter replaced and my total bill was nearly 600$. Pretty hard to believe the parts and labor should cost that much... guess my car is on the road again though.

Went there did a diagnostic test and came back with a 2,000 dollar quote included parts plus labor and would take a few days. Went down the street 100 bucks to fix. Watch these guys, they’re trained to uncover issues that may not be a problem yet

This is my first time rating a business but I have to do this. I have been at Pep boys for the past several years. I always had great customer services and they have always taken great pride in their work. There was instance were they were very busy but they made sure I was well taken care of. They even gave me services for at no charges on some occasions because I had to wait which I felt was perfectly reasonable waiting time . Recently, one of my tire was losing air which was over 3 years after It was service by them. They did fix it at no charge. I am just amazed at the extra attention. This certainly has exceeded my expectation and would highly recommend this store. Unfortunately, I can only give them a 5 stars rating...

Pep Boys isnt bad. Ive noticed though that theyll quote you a price and if you Dicker about it they usually will come down. If they try to include a rebate, do not bother. Ive tried that before and 8 months later when I go online to see the status its still pending. Another time I have them rotate my tires got home and got a phone call that they forgot to tighten the lug nuts. I was pleased that they came out to my home and then tighten them for me but I should have to think what could have happened to me on the drive home. I do go back and I do like it here I just wish the price was the price not that they and that you do not have to Dicker. Last time I went in I was happy as they gave me an oil change and rotated my tires for about $24 I thought that was a fantastic price for what I got.

Went for a tire rotation and oil change on 1-25. The service was not completed to my satisfaction. Not really sure what happened. But my tires were not rotated. And I left feeling pretty frustrated. After cooling off, the next day I went in and explained my issue. The assistant store manager was excellent. He apologized, and made a real genuine effort to figure out the problem, and try and resolve the issue. He promptly brought my vehicle in, and fixed the problem. And brought me out and showed me my tires, pointed out some wear, inspected the front end and basically put me at ease. They refunded my money, again apologized and took care of business. Was really impressed with how he handled everything. It made my day.

Excellent service! My tire was low and I needed someone to check the pressure and put air in my tire. Ben did just that. Even though it was very cold outside he not only put air in the tire that needed it but had also checked the remaining tires and added air to them too. He was very fast and I was very impressed with the courteous and friendly manner that he displayed. Give this guy a raise he deserves it!

I had a noon appointment for 4 new tires on my 2017 gmc. Walked in 20 minutes early to inquire how long it would take as I had my wife and her mom. I took them both down the street where they could shop came back and they never got me in till nearly 1. I asked the girl at counter how much more for white lettered tires and we agreed to go that route. Got to the point where it was getting late so I said never mind checking alignment. I got home just to realize they had put white letters in side not out. And every wheel had been marked up from the tire machine in atleast 2 places now why would I buy white outlined tires to have them put on inside? And I am not to impressed at all about the Marks left behind on my aluminum wheels. I will be calling monday am.

I have been bringing my 2005 Chevy sedan here for all repairs and inspections for the last 3 years, no problems and the boys always explain repairs and costs. Recently traded in the 2005 for a 2014 as my car was requiring repairs every 2 weeks and I just couldnt keep up. Excellent service but their labor rate is high and they do charge to look at the vehicle problem if they have to take something off or apart. The rewards program does save you money as they reduce the cost of an evaluation and you get gift cards for future services and parts. Use a little common sense and shop around for the cheapest price on parts and just have them install it, thats what I always do. Also, your vehicle costs a lot of money, look over it and check it yourself.

I have been here a lot more than I had hoped to because my car had some things happen to it, but they were always friendly, fast and professional. I have a new car so I hope to not need to come by, but needless to say its by far the best car part store on Center Street!

They have most of the auto parts you would expect to find and at a fair price. What they dont have can be ordered.They also do auto service and are pretty extensive with what they do, also for a fair price. Depending on staff, quality and experience varies. Last time I was there they did real well.

Tried getting a sticker. Was told all I needed was new tires and one new rim. Ordered tires, you guys claimed they “didn’t come in” then had to order them again. Tried ordering a rim, you guys sent me to 2 different unprofessional people about getting a rim instead of just ordering the rim like I requested and was perfectly fine paying for. Then when I finally get a rim, (no thanks to you guys) and get all new tires, you all of a sudden have a list of new things I need to pay for to get a sticker? Money hungry much?
