Peach season in Georgia ended this week, and sadly I couldn’t make it to the final farmers markets to pick up my last ‘fix’. I was happy to be able to get from Butter and Cream, the decadent peaches and cream ice cream, made with Pearson Farms peaches - along with scoops of the creative flavors basil pine nut brittle, and blackberry ginger caramel. All three scoops were fantastic - love that Butter and Cream makes all their ice cream locally with real cream, small batch using fresh ingredients, you can taste the difference in texture, and I’m going to say it’s good (ok ‘better’) for me. Also, the Beltline location meant I could balance the indulgence with outdoor exercise (walking back to my car counts, right?) after.

Having worked in ice cream personally, I really have to say how much I enjoyed this place! High-quality ingredients and attentive staff make for a solid experience. They ran out of the flavor that we were most hoping to try, the lady earl, but even having to pick some thing else was fine because there were other good options.

I didn’t know a brown sugar cone could be this good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and when I asked them what “OG Goodness” is, they told me it is a brown sugar ice cream, and added that it is their most popular flavor. After enjoying it, I 100% understand.

Simply delicious. Not overly sweet. You taste the intended flavor in its purity. My son couldnt get enough.

This ice cream was amazing! Staff was helpful in picking out flavors, and it was more delicious than I expected! The honey flavor was perfectly sweet, definitely recommend.

Somehow, I cannot manage to walk the Beltline without sneaking in for a scoop (or two..). Their ice cream is freakin delicious, and staff are always super helpful and friendly. The horchata + chocolate is amazing.

This would make my second visit. Customer service was great. The ice cream was awesome!

Loved this place, very charming atmosphere and GREAT ice cream! Only issue is that it’s pretty difficult to find the place in the dark if you aren’t familiar with the area. Our GPS took us to what appeared to be a group of loft apartments. The retail stores are BEHIND the lofts, down a flight of stairs. I just think this retail area needs much better signage.

Better than Jenni’s! Midnight snacks is my favorite flavor in the whole city. Lots of other scrumptious seasonal flavors, too. This ice cream is so good it’s worth the splurge over a grocery store pint.

Innovative flavors constitute this menu, but do so at a relatively high price. Before arriving and placing your order, I would recommend asking around for the favorites of friends and frequent visitors to avoid ordering something you will not enjoy. New flavors are frequently placed on the menu, but classics such as the Tahitian vanilla never fail to impress. My favorite flavors include the oats, midnight snack, and Persian rose.

Found this place while riding my bike on the belt line. Perfect for a hot summer day or a late snack if you have a sweet tooth. Had the lady Grey lavender ice cream and the the bourbon vanilla. Both were delicious. Cant wait to go back next time Im in the area.

Whenever Im in the area I grab butter and cream ice cream.. I also bring my out of town guest. Staff is usually very personable. Ice cream is DELICIOUS! Establishment appears clean. I rarely, RARELY give 5 o 5 🌟

Delicious! I loved the summer strawberry & peaches and cream flavor. The employees were so helpful and friendly! This is a great spot for an awesome selection of ice cream.

I wish i would’ve taken pictures. I asked the young lady what was the most popular item and ordered it. Did not disappoint. Really delicious, thick ice cream. Definitely visiting again.

This place is really cool and the ice cream is delicious it would have got four stars except for I ordered a water and paid for it and didnt receive it, the counter person didnt give me any kind of explanation about how the ice creams are made or what the ice cream flavors were just pointed me to the board.😥 My friends that brought me there had more information about the ice cream then the worker did. My suggestion is that weve got to do better with our customer service.

Parking might be a little hard to find for this place, but dont let that discourage you from going. You can always find parking on the side streets.This is hands-down the best ice cream place in Atlanta and way better than Jenis. Theyre just not famous enough yet. Their flavors are all hand crafted and they taste wonderful.I have had their OJ goodness, dark chocolate Malbec, two of the coffee flavors, butterscotch brownie, and they were all phenomenal.In the picture you see the bourbon chocolate and OG goodness.Please dont waste your time and money going to Jenis and start going here!

I personally like this one better than the one in Decatur. The employee was super friendly and the ice cream was fantastic. I especially like the OG.

Mediocre ice cream at best. Rude staff. It’s never busy. I am actually surprised they are even still open. Go the few extra steps to Jeni’s.

Hubby and I may have found our new favorite ice cream shop. Weve visited twice so far. Personally I recommend the honey forest flavor but I dont think any flavor will disappoint

Best ice cream in Atlanta hands down. My favorite flavors are butterscotch brownie and OG goodness. Also love just getting chocolate or vanilla with their homemade hot fudge! The baked goods are also delicious! Love love love butter and cream.

Oh! My! Goodness!!! This was superb!!! We had a hot fudge brownie sundae with both OG Goodness and carmel brownie ice creams, a cup with BC vanilla and freckled chocolate ice cream, and strawberry ice cream. The service was great and the establishment was clean!

Paid $8 bucks for a milk shake that was literally just milk and no ice cream. Should have just bought a gallon of milk for 3 bucks instead.

I had a scoop of strawberry ice cream with marshmallow topping. I loved the quality and texture of the ice cream.

Ice cream tasted o.k, but they cheat you on the amount you get on you cone and they kind of force a tip on you. I will not return.

This new ice cream shop is definitely worth a visit. They have a ton of flavors and so far I have not tried one that I didn’t like. Some of the favorites so far are the blueberry cobbler, summer strawberry, and of course the OG goodness. There are so many things to try with all of the flavors, cones, and toppings, not to mention the ice cream sandwiches. I have a feeling we will be back often this summer.

I rather not be greeted by adolescents & I dont want to be questioned about what I ask for, in the way only a pre-teens can.I turned an left.It’s feels like_ the owners got a covid-19 response check, skipped town & left the store to teenagers.didn’t teach them anything about anything, not customer service or the menu and don’t use the word “try” because the adolescents with under-developed frontal cortex will think you asking for samples 🙄

Rude, I was wearing a face covering and abiding social distancing, waited in line for 10 minutes and when I got to the register I was told my mask was mask enough then refused service. Server was rude, wont be back

Strawberry sorbet slushee is meh. They put it in a paper cup & it got all wet and started leaking within minutes.

I really love their ice cream but last time I got it their was hair in my chocolate ice cream and when me and my hubby went to let them know they acted as if it was perfectly normal and told us its from their production and happens often. They gave us another cup but unfortunately it was the same cup with just extra scoops of ice cream cause the same ice cream was left at the bottom of the cup which is super unsanitary and disgusting. So yea I dont think we will be going back for another scoop.

Friendly staff who was willing to accomodate our sporadic requests that come from two toddlers. The Strawberry, Peaches and Cream, etc were all delicious. Recommend.

Absolutely the best ice cream in ATL. Sure, Jenny’s is good, but if u want to support a local company that has unique, high-quality flavors, look no further than Butter & Cream. We don’t even go to Jenny’s anymore.

My boyfriend and I were walking by on our way to Krog Street Market and we saw Butter and Cream. He said wow my two favorite things we have to go!I got their famous flavor, OG goodness and he got their honeycomb forest. We were both so happy with our choices. Would go there over Jenis any time!!

BEST ice cream in Atlanta! I would usually recommend a specific flavor for an ice cream shop but every flavor I’ve tried has been amazing. Pro tip: grab some tacos and guacamole at Guac y Margys next door, then treat yourself to some delicious ice cream at B&C for dessert. Or a milkshake. OMG, the milkshakes... Ok, heading there now.

I visited Butter & Cream on a whim while walking along the BeltLine a couple Fridays ago. I was surprised to see another ice cream shop so close to Jenis at Krog Street Market and Jakes Ice Cream across the street, but once I saw the flavors on the board, I was really happy to welcome Butter & Cream to the neighborhood!This ice cream shop is Butter & Creams third location (also found in Decatur and Roswell). I dont believe they have dedicated parking, but I imagine their main audience will be foot traffic from the BeltLine. They have a patio with outdoor tables and a bench available.Only once inside, did my husband and I realize what a conflicted visit we would have. I was expecting simple flavors and an easy choice to make, and I was dead wrong! I was delighted to see all the options available, and Im glad that they let me try all the flavors I was interested in. I ended up getting a cone of honeycomb forest, and my husband got an ice cream sandwich featuring mint chocolate chip on chocolate chip cookies.All of the staff was warm and friendly, especially the young man who rang up our order. I mean suuuuper friendly, like he was so-so happy to help serve us ice cream. It was awesome and it made us even happier we had stopped in!You may be more familiar with Jakes or Jenis but you must take a visit to Butter & Cream, too. Im glad I did!
