At our first visit, receptionist Cynthia made us feel welcome and at ease. The audiologist, John, convincingly showed my husband and me how VERY much he needed a hearing aid. The second visit, with my husband now wearing his new aids, the two patiently showed us how to take them in and out and care for them. But the best part was still to come. You dont have to talk so loud, said my husband as we got into the car to head home. I could have wept for joy.

I highly recommend this place! John is so nice and takes as much time as needed to answer any questions and to be sure you know how to use and adjust your hearing aids. Cynthia is always very friendly and efficient. Both are professional and courteous - Im so happy I found them!

John was very thorough and very patient in my initial training on how to adjust and put them on. The initial tests were very thorough and very revealing of how much I needed hearing aids when I didn’t think I needed them. I recommend them without reservation.On my 2nd visit Cynthia provided training on how to clean and care for my hearing aid. She was very patient and very thorough. When I met with John, I told him I had some difficulty with clarity when listening to female characters on TV who had high pitched voices (since I have high frequency loss). John made some adjustments on the aids using the computer so that I could see in detail and hear how the adjustments were being made. They spent about 45 minutes with me making sure the adjustments were effective and that I was comfortable. The level of detailed and caring customer service was very thorough. The adjustments were effective for my hearing high pitched voices. The after sale service with this team was really terrific.

Please beware!! My 77 year old mother went to have her hearing aids fixed, and this unprofessional man burst out of his office and screamed and carried on about her not paying her bill. She never receive an invoice or knew anything about this. He backed in a corner and spoke loudly in front of 3 other people. He literally threaten to take her hearing aid (leaving her deaf) unless she paid now! She felt so scared she gave him her visa. Even though she was told by the front office a few weeks early her insurance would be covering it and that they planned to resubmit paper work.My mom was in tears . We have reported him to Blue Cross for a formal harassment case, better business, this site, and any Facebook we can find. As well as plan to contact corporate office. Please not go to the business or deal with this rude aggressive man.

I met John over 3 years ago. At that time, I decided not to purchase hearing aids from him because they were more expensive than at the big box store. Boy was I wrong, what a waste of money. Yes, I got cheaper aids but the quality was terrible. Also once I needed help with the technology, no one could provide adequate service.Frustrated and discouraged, I came back to see John. He was immediately helpful and adopted me as a patient. He fixed my hearing aids and adjusted them to fit my hearing lost. I wish, I had just bought aids from him from the beginning. I basically wasted 3 years. My plan is to upgrade to Nuear’s aids since they are more technologically advanced and I will definitely use John for the purchasing process. I am doing great and still love my hearing aids. Just love that I can hear. I have been using some of my programs. Sometimes I forget that I have them. Sunday after Mass, my husband and I went to Waffle House. There were some college kids having breakfast and they had that juke box going and cranked up! It was crazy loud! I remembered my program for restaurants, set my hearing aids on it and it really helped! I love being able to talk on my phone and hear through my hearing aids. That is so cool!Thank you for all that you do for the Y and the hearing impaired.

Ive needed hearing aids for years at a fairly young age (40s) an never did anything about it because of such an active lifestyle and not wanting to admit that I have a problem.I started searching for solutions when it became more and more apparent that my hearing loss was affecting my personal and business life. First off, I’ve purchased hearing aids for the last 15 years. I’ve tried many different shops in and around the Atlanta area and I’ve bought many different styles/brands of hearing aids. The problem is that I could not find proper service after the actual purchase. Trust me, purchasing the aids is only the first step in dealing with hearing lost. The service/care afterwards is very important.After complaining to one of my relatives that I’ve spent too much money on hearing aids only for them to end up in one of the drawers in my office, he recommended that I go see John Schellman at Nuear.
