This store provides amazing customer service. I dont have to hunt employees to ask a question. There is always someone very knowledgeable and ready to help. And they make the best copies of the keys. Not the cheapest, but they always work, unlike copies made in other places.
I just moved to the area and need to replace the glass on a couple of family paintings that broke during my move. I found this hardware store because it was highly rated and now I know why. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. A young man named Brandon cut new glass perfectly and worked along side me for 30 mins to fix these family heirlooms. I won’t go to another hardware store so long as I live in this area!!
I live in Dunwoody about a mile from this store and I go in there a lot. I love this Ace store. The people are super friendly and helpful. They have most of what I need and I can get in and out quickly on my way home from Publix or Marlows Tavern or wherever else I am heading. 🙂 Thank you for offering such a valuable service to our wonderful Dunwoody community. - Bill Douglas
Great store. Knowledgeable people. Definitely see a difference betweenACE and HomeDepot. Need something for the home go here. Highly recommended.
Very helpful. Professional and knowledgeable.
They always have what we need, and they really set the standard for ACE on helpfulness.
Came in for a stihl 450 but out of stock on most stihl blowers so had to but 800 for a few hundred bucks more.
Extremely helpful to have a neighborhood hardware store. They have so many small and essential parts, They have a diverse inventory when we have projects for which we want recommendations. Great people; great place.
They stock every item imaginable! Really helpful staff as well.
What a great place to have close to home! Every time I go into this store, someone greets me and directs me to the right location or walks me over to discuss the choices and answer any questions that I have. You just don’t see this kind of customer service in many places today.Yes, I could go to Home Depot and have more selection and probably a little better pricing. I could also wander around for an hour, not find what I need and not be able to find any help. With Ace Hardware you get in, get out and most times they have what you need. If they don’t, you’ll likely know it in under 60 seconds because they are so helpful.
I have an affinity for neighborhood hardware stores over big box stores. That said, this is a well-stocked store with a very knowledgeable staff. By browsing the aisles, I almost always find something that reminds me of a forgotten home project.
I called Michael at this store from Illinois. My son-in-law has been using his Big Green Egg for years and years with just two little side shelves. He agreed to let me (his mother-in-law) deliver two tables as an early Christmas present. I was so lucky to work with Michael on this project that took several weeks to put together. So many details. And I am very fussy! And I was so far away and it was an expensive purchase. Michael has such great attention to detail and he worked with me all the way through the project. He installed the tables on sight so they would not get damaged in transport. He took care of everything. He was patient when I freaked out because I didn’t see the tool hooks. What great customer service. I could not have asked for more. Except I think he did forget to put the red Christmas bow on it! If you are looking for great customer service, call Michael at this store.
Great place and is always full of Helpful Hardware Folks. My only issue is the tiny parking lot in such a busy area.
Great nursery plant selection with Native varieties that support Georgia insect diversity and the organisms that depend on them, including us!
Friendly staff, I checked out quickly.
Poor/rude customer service. We called about a Patio heater to verify they had one. Refused to hold it for us. We drove over from Johns Creek, found it and got in line. Women at counter was rude and refused to help move the unit so she could scan it (box is large and heavy). Price was $179 on website. Price at store was $199. We asked about it and got more rudeness. Take it or leave it was mentioned. I expect more out of a neighborhood hardware store.
ACE always saves the day and aggravation with their super helpful staff.
This is a real hardware store - not at all like the lightweight Big Box versions. If you need it, they have it. If its out of stock, theyll get it. Ive been patronizing them for years and never been disappointed.
Very crowded aisles, practically impossible for two adults to pass each other in the aisles.Very few staff on hand to assist.Id have to say this place doesnt live up to the company tag line!
The staff here is amazingly helpful and knowledgeable.
Went to get a key made and a socket set. Guy made me a key and found a cheap socket. Lots of old folks in there. I felt so young in there.
Great people! Every yeti product under the sun.
Vast selection of merchandise, including holiday items and gifts. Very friendly and helpful employees. Great store.
Well stocked, friendly staff, great service, no complaints.
The customer service is impeccable, when I walk in the door theres always someone there to ask me if I need help finding something and or show it to me, this is not the case at Home Depot, its just an easy Pleasant shopping experience when I go to Ace
This has been around since I was a child. Its a very analog shopping experience which is great, staff are friendly and the store is well organized.
The resident key maker and EMT is a fabulous bloke!
Michael was amazing. Had to fit screws to an 11 year old TV and TV stand. He was patient and worked through several sizes until we got it right. The final size was uncommon. I appreciated his attention and determination as he was focused on making sure I got exactly what I needed. Thanks Michael!
Excellent Customer Service and great unique knickknacks.
Ive been to this store several times over the two years since I moved to Dunwoody. The Customer Service is sometimes spot on and other times (at least two times), I stand in front of 4-5 guys talking about anything but work and am ignored.I needed a car key cut for a Cadillac. I have the blank key that needs to be cut.A friend had a key cut for her car after ordering the remote online and programming it herself. The Ace in Johns Creek charged her under $15.00 to have the car key cut.So in my effort to support the local business, this past Saturday, I went in to get my key cut. After waiting for 2 min, while someone showed the cashier how to do something, the guy turns to help another customer who had just walked up (again ignoring me). I did speak up and he then asked what I needed. I explained I needed a key cut. I brought in the blank key and gave it to him. He examined the original key and the blank key. He indicated it would be $80.00!. The dealer quoted me $75.00.I said not to do it as the dealer was less expensive.Long story short. I went to the ACE in Johns Creek (Jones Bridge Rd), which is closed to work and the one recommended by my friend. They charged me $25.00! Key works perfectly. On top of that, they were VERY nice, courteous, and like myself, could not understand the price difference. Will not be going back to this ACE.
This is the best Hardware store anywhere. The staff know their customers by name, they are truly helpful, and they usually have everything we need. Michael, Wayman and Richard are truly the best and sometimes we go in just to say hello.
Great place to find all kind of stuff
Helpful staff
Mike or Michael is very rude and knows nothing about paint. Even with a large sample he couldnt get it right and made me feel like I was doing something wrong when I told him that I applied the paint but it didnt match. He made it clear to me that they do not give refunds and they do not do returns. He did say he would try 1 more time but thats it. Wow, after trying 1 time and getting it wrong he is very generous to try 1 more time. The paint was close to $30 for 1/4 of a gallon. I cant afford for him to mess up. He goes for attempt number 2 and somehow with the same sample he manged to mess up yet again and now my wall is 3 different colors. I took the sample to Home Depot and they matched it perfectly. Its OK to mess up and not get the right color but to treat me with such disrespect and make me feel like I am at fault is just not right. This guy Mike or Michael should not be working with customers and he should not be working with paint. He is rude and does not know anything about paint.
I came to this ace for a propane tank fill up. While the location was convenient, the refill per gallon price was almost 4 times the going rate.Fool me once. I should have known something was amiss when there were no prices posted
This is our go to place for the things we need in a hurry to effect a good repair or replacement. Always courteous and invested. I have found things there that I did not find at HD, and all things were well organized.
Great place. Great customer service.
Power tool good
Pricey but some fun gifts.
I love this Ace Hardware Store in Dunwoody. Im so happy by the fact that I get treated so nicely every time I go there. I grew up visiting Ace Hardware Stores, not very many of them around the Atlanta area anymore. When I was little growing up my mom would say and my dad I have to go by Ace Hardware. I believe it was located on Flat Shoals Road in Decatur they always had that soft stick peppermint candy. So far theyve had every item Ive gone in there to purchase.
Love this place!!! Love that the people are educated on tools and they are helpful and kind. They always have what I need.
Service with a smile.
Just frustrated. I know were in the middle of unprecedented times but how is it that every single Ace Hardware in the entire city has the adjusted hours correctly updated in Google... except for this one location? Thats all Im frustrated about. And I just had to vent
Been here many times and had good experiences. That all changed when I met Michael for the first time. He was very unpleasant and rude. He is not very knowledgeable when it comes to handyman work so I dont get why he works there. His unkind demeanor and rude approach when interacting with customers is going to hurt this location. Making customers feel badly for following his advice that turned out being the worst advice is ever is just wrong. Not only does cost me money and extra time but it forces me to have to leave a very bad review when I generally leave good reviews. I hope you at least treat your coworkers or staff a little better because if not for them( Dunwoody ) Ace Hardwares rating would suffer. Please learn a thing or 2 from your team.
I love this store so much! I always go here instead of home depot because of the excellent service and smaller store where you can park right out front and find everything you need! I love it! It is really so much better than Home Depot.
The staff was extremely helpful! And they had everything I needed when the big boxes were out of stock.
Excellent staff and great selection of products, especially the small niche hardware items. I come here first for the friendly sales people who know about the products, what questions to ask, what to recommend and what will solve my problem. This is something the big-box stores will never understand.
Service there is outstanding. Great mix of merchandise. Very helpful staff, especially Michael. I always ask for him whenever I stop by and tell friends and neighbors to do the same. Rob Williams 1 stars everyone so one would have to imagine that it’s probably not the service but rather the person.
This is a great Ace Hardware. They have everything, and I do mean everything. They even refill LP gas tanks with a full 20 lbs of gas instead of the 15 lbs. you get when you exchange tanks. And they have lots of help on staff to assist in finding that one thing you need.Going into this Ace is almost like stepping back in time when a staff member comes right up to you and says Can I help you?
Disappointed - checkout lines continue to be clogged/bottleneck. Staff is meh. Too tight spaces to walk around. Prices higher than others.Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man (politically correct “folks”) is long gone.
Ace Hardware Dunwoody is a great convenience. You can fight the traffic to Home Depot or Lowes and stuggle with the parking lot or merely go to the friendly Ace clerk, tell them what you need and you are back out the door. So convenient.
I went there to get some help with painting or staining a project. I even took a sample of the wood to get the best results. I asked the clerk standing at the paint kiosk he said he didnt know that I should talk to Michael. I walked around the store till I found Michael, he was having a conversation with some friends at the front of the store. When I asked for some assistance he was really put off walked me back to the paint department pointed to a chart. Told me those are my choices and walked back to talk to his friends. I go to Ace Hardware to get personal attention. I could always go to the big box store if I want that kind of service. I wont be going back.
Helpful people and great selection. More convenient and pleasant than HD.
I love this store! They have the largest selection of hardware that other stores do not carry. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable about everything!!!!
There was a time where I wondered how small, private hardware stores like this were able to stay in business with the big boxes right down the street. Well, since I started coming to this ACE Hardware, my curiosity has disappeared. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your questions are answered and, if they dont have what you need, they will find a way to get it for you. The staff is consistently smiling and friendly, and you can see that they really want to do a great job. If you live in Dunwoody, skip the orange and blue stores and go here instead! The prices are competitive, and the people are awesome.
I like the Ace Workbench. It has a certain small town charm to it that reminds me of the rural South Carolina town I lived in as a kid. The staff is always helpful and friendly and Ive met some cool folks here too. I also run into people I know pretty often, so if you are on the run from the law and live in Dunwoody. . . this might not be the place to hide. One staff member even complimented me on my Ninja Turtles t-shirt. That is the mark of a decent human being in my book. I always try to shop here before going to Home Depot or Lowes. They usually have what I need.
Always friendly and knowledgeable. Great customer service.
Very helpful staff - allows you to get in and out quickly. Store is packed with cool stuff - my kids like the As Seen on TV section. Prices are higher than big box stores but worth the convenience and knowledgable staff.
This place is definitely overpriced but the staff are always nice and helpful. We go here as a last resort as a result of prices but usually do find what we need.
A relatively small store but knowledgable staff. I always find what I need and a lot of extras that make the trip to the hardware store more pleasant than youd expect!
This is my favorite Ace Hardware location. The staff is always attentive, polite, and knowledgeable.
Helpful staff who answered questions and made suggestions, offered great tips on our projects, and helped us through the store which was regrettably narrow for wheelchairs.
They are friendly, helpful, and stocked!!
I live really close to another hardware store and they will NOT give you the time of day. I intentionally make the drive, past the other hardware store to Workbench Ace Hardware. They have AWESOME customer service. Someone usually greets you at the door and is basically your personal shopper for your duration in the store. Way better than other hardware stores!!! Plus they are a real Weber dealer and they have Wicked Good Lump Charcoal!
Called this store and they had excellent phone service. Most hardware stores lack in this department, yet this Ace made a great impression. Will definitely shop here more often.
Best hardware store around. Thanks for your help,Jim, with finding our science experiment ingredients! I have a class of very happy third graders this morning.
Large enough to have what you want, usually, but still a personable, neighborhood experience. If you ask, the staff will help.
Ace is definitely the place. Someone is gonna find you and walk you through this place and help you get your stuff.
Friendly and we find what we need for condo without having to go to lowes
Least helpful Ace Ive ever been. The workers will just mosey around and not really even acknowledge their customers. Opposite of all other Aces Ive been. The one time I was approached, the kid had no idea what he was talking about, so maybe its good theyre not as helpful.
Great place for most of my needs without needing to walk the length of a football pitch to find help or merchandise.
The staff are extremely friendly and are always ready to help. I look forward to going here instead of HomeDepot.
One of those great small stores thats packs everything in. Good helpful staff and great selection of so many items.A very big plus for this store is THEY CUT GLASS, there is nowhere around the area that does (not Helpless Depot or Lowes). Also they are open earlier and longer than the Ace I can walk to from my house. There is always a coupon to get the slightly higher prices down. Worth a drive away from the other stores.
Great Stihl repair Guy, fast turn around!!
Great store with a great selection of Big Green Egg products and accessories.
Great people that are very knowledgable
Just what we needed for multiple small home projects and closer than HD. Helpful staff.
If you live nearby, this store seems to have most everything you need and plenty of fun stuff you want!
Excellent selection and first rate service.
This is the best hardware store I have visited. They are much closer to my home than the big box store (Home Depot) so I thought I would give them a try. Simply amazing the degree of customer service and great selection of stuff. Yous think that a Ace hardware would be at a disadvantage on selection but they always have everything I need for day to day uses. They dont have refrigerators, though... The people that work there are also really knowledgeable, and help me find what I need to fix a problem at home. Theres always somebody ready to help (no searching for a sales person) and I dont have to walk a mile zig zag around a giant store.
Staff really knows their stuff...pleasant change from HD and Lowes where no one seems to know much of anything!
I shop at this Ace regularly and have always had a good experience until this week. I went in to purchase two Yeti Tumblers for a friend as his Ace was sold out and found that the prices for them were $10 more than all the other Ace stores!!! That aside, I bought these and my friend ended up finding them for the cheaper price and asked me to return them. When I went in to return them the manager stated these were non-refundable and pointed to a clause printed on the receipt. I asked him to show me where it was posted in the store that these are non-refundable to which he said there was no posting. I informed him this was illegal and his response was Im the middle man and do what the Owner tells me. He finally agreed to give me a store card for the value only good for this Ace store but I told him I would accept for now but would be filing a complaint with the GA Consumer Protection Division requesting a full refund. Not sure if its the owner or the manager that is the idiot in this scenario but they are about to have the state crawling up their drawers. Wont EVER shop here again.
Poor Customer service! In a day an age where competition is everywhere and your customer base can shop anywhere for your products including online, I would expect the manager of this store to show he’s customers he cares. He is clearly not interested in extending customer service. What a shame. There’s an ACE a few miles away, I just go there from now on.
I live closer to other Aces, but I drive to this one because the service is so much better. Love this place.
There staff is always helpful been going here for years.
Theres always someone there to help me find what Im looking for, as opposed to Home Depot its frequently hard to find anyone to help me with anything
You local hardware store not like the big box where you cant find help. Always have lots of staff to help you find what your looking for
Always helpful and they have everything.
Had a spare car key made. Cost is about half what the dealer charges.
Great staff, very helpful
Just like the old time hardware y!
How in the world can they ALWAYS have the.random what-ever-it-is that I need to complete a project???
Wonderful service and selection
These men and women at Ace Hardware are all about customer service. If you have a choice between Home Depot and Ace . I chose Ace!
Best service for neighborhood hardware.
A little crowded inside, but very friendly staff who are willing to help.
VERY Convenient and friendly staff
