Larry is extremely knowledgeable and gives fair pricing. I especially appreciate him taking time to give a bit of history about items (in my case, currency) and freely sharing valuation information. Someone with no knowledge of coins, currency, etc., can google all they want, but if you are serious about value and being treated fairly, you need to go to a pro. Larry is a pro. Ill be back.

I sold a small coin collection and some jewelry for melt down (metal value). I had researched local dealers to find reputable businesses who would give me fair value. Larry answered the phone and asked for a breakdown of what I wanted to sell, then made an appointment. I found Larry and Bob to be very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Another local dealer wasnt interested in my collection, but Larry was. Been in business 47 years in Atlanta and has an excellent reputation. Contact Larry if you have coins, gold/silver, old jewelry. First off, Larry is fair and trustworthy. He talks clearly and delivers what he promises. I always felt like he had my best interest at heart and was engaged in getting me the best deal possible. Secondly, I am very impressed with Larry’s depth of knowledge. He has been in the business for over forty years and it shows. He has the ability to research rare coins and currency and the contacts to generate interest in the retail sector. If he doesn’t have the answer, he can find it. Last, but not least, is Larry’s character and communication skills. He cares about the business and puts all his effort into every deal. He was always timely and followed up on any detail or unanswered question. He helped me greatly when it was time to sell my Grandmother’s coin collection and I highly recommend him to any people I know that are looking for similar assistance.

Ive been here several times. Larry is always generous and explains the worth of your items in detail, but that last 2 times that I have came here he hasnt been here, but another guy has. I feel as though this guy doesnt know much about Confederate money, or old dollars. I brought in several Confederate uncut and unused bills and he quoted me a price that I felt shouldve been higher. This man could never look me in my eye so I knew that he knew that he was doing me wrong. The only time that I would ever come back here is if Mr. Larry is there.

My husband and I stopped by to get some coins evaluated.We showed up literally five minutes before closing time, but Mr. Jackson was gracious enough to unlock the door and let us in.We met a very nice man named Bob, a rare coin expert. He evaluated our coins are determined them to be forgeries. I suspected this, so I wasnt terribly disappointed. He also looked at my 1963 Benjamin Franklin half dollar proof set from the Philadelphia Mint and determined it was worth ten dollars. Again, I was not disappointed because I have no intention of selling it.The store itself is small, but they have some really neat items. I especially liked the mock Rolex wall clocks ($200 to $300).Also, and this is a huge plus to me as Im a philatelist, they have stamps! I wish Id had more time to look at them. Mr. Jackson said they sell them in lots of 100 for face value. Thats a really good deal!Were looking forward to our next visit. Of course, well show up earlier.

I bought and sold with Larry in 2008 -2011. I plan to become active again and plan to deal with Larry again.

This very kind shop owner and his son did a fantastic job replacing my Moms watch battery. It seems like hardly anyone knows how to repair or work with good older watches these days, but that is NOT the case here :)! This shop knew how to handle the watch, knew what to do, knew how it worked! They were able to open the watch and successfully replace the battery and get the watch running again! They were great! Super nice and polite and very knowledgeable! They know their stuff! Thank you so much for helping!

I went in looking for About Uncirculated to Mint State Standing Liberty quarters. I was told that they had some mint state in stock that could be retrieved from the bank and that they would notify me when they had done so. They took my name, phone number, and a list of the coins I was searching for and promised I would hear back. They were extremely professional and polite. I was quoted approximate prices for the coins which were extremely fair. I was also able to trade in something I had with me for cash at a very, very, VERY, reasonable rate. I was taken aback when they offered the price they did, as I had been quoted, on average, 25-30% less from other, far less reputable, dealers. I rate this coin store as the Mayors (if youre familiar with the jewelry store) of coin stores... a Rolex dealer of coin stores, if you will. Very professional, very high end, and you should enter this store ready to buy... dont go in expecting to just look at anything. I will post again or edit my post once I have done another transaction to let the public know, again, how fantastic this store is and why the negative reviews should be ignored. A+ for quality, A+ for appeal, and A++++++++++++ for service.

These guys are the best!! I called a few places in town that have rent by the hour offices and dont keep regular hours! BEWARE of those places! Larry Jackson was extremely knowledgeable and paid market value for my old silver dollars and gold coins. The location is secure and easy to find. They even have their own security guard out front! I witnessed the owner lie to a woman about value of a silver dollar collection her late father left her. He only paid $4 each total of $900.00. The coins were uncl and dated back to 30s and 40s. When the woman tried to change her mind, he then lied and told her they were already mixed in, in the back. This man is a robber, liar and dishonest. Praying on peoples desperation. Rather he realizes or not, our angels in heaven keep notes and see everything we do. I hope the several thousands he stole today was worth his soul.It made me sick. Shocking how someone can lie to someone elses face, and not even blink.

I brought my fathers rare coin collection in to Larry JacksonsRare Coin shop. I visited many other coin shops and I was treated very rudely. When I brought my coins here, Mr. Jackson gave me over twice of the amount that other coin shops were offering me. Very knowledgeable guy and knows what he is doing. Certainly recommend doing business here.

This place is a rip off! They sold me a watch for $3,100 telling me that it was in excellent working condition. Seller, Brain, made it very clear that the watch was inspected and did not have any issues. Well, the watch stopped working next day. They sold me a watch that I could not wear. I have already filed a complaint about Larry Jackson Numismatics, INC to Better Business Bureau. I had to service the watch through Breitling company and paid $571 out of my pocket. I have been lied to. Do not buy from this business! They do NOT stand behind their products! Beware!

Called just a while ago to get prices on coins and to let the man know what coins i had and he asked what kinds. As i was listing them he was very rude telling me he had a line of people waiting and he couldnt help me. I explained i didnt live near Atlanta.This is very bad customer service. I mean at least put me on hold or give the phone to another employee. Would not reccommend!!! Very livid.
