Id define this place as the fast food version of a bakery--the McDonalds of pastries. Definitely not the greatest atmosphere or quality of food, but convenient and easy. The original, Duluth, location has a wider variety.Things you should know:I. LOCATIONIn the heart of Midtown. Shockingly, there arent too many restaurants in the heart of the city, unlike New York. So, Im happy to see some cultured food flourishing so well.II. QUALITYIm assuming everything is made fresh daily, but Ive had pastries from other local joints that just, I dont know, taste better. Its good for a quick fix though.III. SERVICENo complaintsIV. CAPACITYThis place is always poppin. Traffic flow at all times of the day is pretty consistent. Im very happy for the business owners..! Sometimes finding seating can be difficult because it gets so busy, but thats great and not something to complain about.
I actually went to this place many months ago while on a trip and its still on my mind. They have a great selection of dessert and drinks. I was unsure of what drink yo pick and one of the staff members helped me pick out a drink. Its a cute place with a cool vibe, definitely an experience.Cant wait to go back for more.
Sweet Hut Bakery and Cafe is a sweet little place with lots of pastries both sweets and savory. Now I dont personally like the taro sweets that I tried but there wasnt nothing wrong with them, just my taste. The savory pork pastry was pretty pretty good. They also sell bubble teas and the strawberry milk one was awesome. Like strawberry nesquick. Awe-Some.Everything is takeout and no bathrooms for customers.
This sweet hut is the smallest of the three in GA, but still carries the same warm, welcoming vibe as the others. Their selection of baked goodies is big enough for what little space they’re working with and the staff is quick and friendly with their service. The pork sung bun is killer so get one if you ever go to any Sweet Hut.
If I could give this sweet hut location negative stars, I would. The employees are disrespectful and an embarrassment to the franchise. DO NOT GO HERE if you want to be treated with dignity or experience quality customer service. They will never steal from me again because I am completely disgusted and won’t be returning to any other sweet hut. Words can’t describe how horrible service is. I want my time and money back.
Dont go 1-2 hours before they close. Some buns/breads will be out of stock. I got the Red Bean Mochi Bun, Chocolate Nutella Bun, and Spring Onion Hot Dog. The latter was 4/5. It was good, but not great. The former 2 were 2/5. Edible but not good. The filling was both minimal and not right. I most likely wont come back and will find another bakery.
I was gonna give this chance…. I seen all good reviews was not impressed Sprinkled donut absolutely failed taste store bought…Not homemade … cheesecake isn’t up to temperature … the cookie I bought was a red velvet was very hard it broke my tooth.
Ok so, I am eating at this establishment as I type. I am fairly disappointed with my experience thus far. I ordered some tiramisu, out of ignorance, expecting as someone who is 4% italian to enjoy the experience. I get the “dessert”. The biscotti (the most crucial component of said dessert) is not submerged in any variety of liquor, stripping it of its flavor. They try to compensate with excessive amounts of cocoa powder. Very, very disappointed. And guess what? It was 7 dollars! Grotesque.
Love love love! They have a huge selection of drinks and such adorable sweets! I always go in for one thing and come out with more. The salt and pepper chicken nuggets are so yummy, and easy to share. I think chicken nuggets and skewers just belong together. I always look forward to trying new things and I haven’t found anything I don’t like.
I recently got cake from sweet hut for birthday and I wasn’t happy with the buy. They had 2 strawberry cakes in their store, 1 had label saying strawberry cheese cake and other simply said strawberry cake. Since I’m not fan of cheesecakes I asked them to pack strawberry cake 6” which was for $36(not worth it). When the cake was cut I came to know that it was cheesecake and not regular cake. And later when I rechecked my pictures of the cake I noticed that they make fools outta people by placing the same cake with 2 different names(pictures below).I must say that none of the members have the courtesy to inform me even when I was buying cuz I specially told the girl twice that I need regular strawberry cake and not cheesecake.
I love their bread and pastries. I tried their green tea with aloe. Not bad after you just had Korean BBQ.
I moved several states away years ago and I still think about Sweet Hut. Its an exact copy of a Taiwanese bakery right in midtown. This place introduced me to so many of my now favorite dessert buns (taro, coconut, pork floss, red bean), has such good bubble tea, and even has Taiwanese fried chicken...always make a special stop here when I come to Atlanta!
I had 4 fraudulent charges on my bank account from Sweet Hut. Recommend you do not use your credit card. Ive never been to or shopped there, and I do not live in Georgia, in fact havent been out of state in 5 years
I love this bakery. They have a wonderful selection. Not only is their bread, but their soups, Boba tea, etc. Is awesome. Go there now
Ive always wanted to visit this place since I saw it reviewed on a local show. ( I cant remember the name) Recently I went to an concert and wanted to stop by here real quick since we had an hour to spare. I thought it would take 30 min at the most. Well... we drove around in circles for quite a bit because there were just no parking spots anywhere. We finally parked a few blocks down and walked. The place is cute. It has really neat lights that shine above the display cases. We picked out a few things to sample. The donut we had was bit too dry and tough so we didnt finish it but I loved the white bean something I had with the black sesame seeds on the top. I forgot the name. I would definitely visit again and try something new.
I ordered the Sweet Hut Milk tea and it tasted like it’d been sitting in the fridge instead of freshly made. I also ordered the strawberry cream cake and the bread tasted doughy and dry. Spent $9 (not too bad) but probably won’t return!
Yum yum yum yum!!!!I came here because I wanted bubble tea and its the only place open late in the city... Plus, the reviews were great. I was NOT disappointed! I had the Thai bubble tea and a taro bun and it was DEE-LISH!!! I will definitely come back and try more things here.I also really enjoyed the crowd, music and ambiance in the store. Seems young and trendy with an eclectic mix of people who are socializing and working.
Great spot to hangout or work. Delicious baked goods and awesome milk tea. Highly recommend!
The sweet hut in midtown has a smaller menu than the others Ive been to. However, the prices seem MUCH higher than similar other places. I enjoyed what I had, but I do not think I would choose to come here again due to the prices. Also, you can get free parking at the nearby metropolis parking deck for 2 hours.
Excellent choice of sweets, pastries, sandwiches and desserts. Their coffee was surprisingly great and taste was comparable to SB! Must visit if you’re in town to try their amazing Creme Brûlée!
Sweet Hut never disappoints. The pastries, small snacks and teas have been keeping me alive for years now.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant about a year after it opened. I don’t know what it is...the variety of Asian inspired sweet and devour buns. Or the pastries and the light snack options. OR maybe it’s the extensive and slightly overwhelming drink options. And get this...you can get TWO FREE toppings! Most drinks can be made hot or cold and they try to cater to most if not all dietary restrictions. But in the event when that can’t happen 🤷🏾♂️. The staff are reflective of the area’s demographic and I love that a lot.I also learned that this store is family owned. So you’re also supporting your local economy with this local business! And who doesn’t want to do that...I wholeheartedly believe that if you’ve decided to expand your taste pallet with some familiar and interestingly delicious food THIS IS YOUR PLACE!
Why is noone talking about Sweethuts creme brulee? Its literally what dreams are made of... The flavour is just perfect with the spot on texture. Please bring it to other locations too. Its soooo good! Also, Of course their buns are just the best. I miss their Spinach bun though. Hope they bring that back!
Ordered a red velvet cake. Clean, welcoming environment from the atmosphere to the interaction. Cake was delicious, beautiful and well presented
My boyfriend and I order milk teas from here all the time and we always love it. They have so many options and they’re always excellent.
Best place for consistency. Their food and drinks taste consistent and their service is really good and consistent even for take-out and delivery (via 3rd party apps)
I ordered from here a couple of days ago via UberEats and as I was eating my chocolate ganache cheesecake, I bit down on something hard. I spit it out and saw it was a nail !! I’ve gotten treats from here in person before and never had an issue. I don’t know if they just didn’t care because it was an Uber order or if they genuinely didn’t know it was there but either way it’s unacceptable. Thank god I was eating slow. I don’t even want to imagine what would have happened had I swallowed it or what effect it would have on me and my unborn baby girl (31 weeks pregnant). I emailed you all to discuss this issue as well.
I love coming here! They have such a wide variety of pastries and food.I always order the Jasmine Milk Tea with tapioca. Very delicious and refreshing. I pair it with a couple macaroons. It’s great for catching up with friends or if you want to read a book. Parking is in the back in the garage. Bring your ticket 🎫 in so they can validate it.Customer service is on point! Go here once a week. :)
I dont even know where to start; the delectable treats? The service? The cool atmosphere? The location? All of it is five stars across the board. I have died, gone to carb heaven, and I dont even mind. I highly recommend the Maple Bacon donut, but truly, you cant go wrong with whatever you chose. Whether you live here or are just visiting, do yourself a favor and check out Sweet Hut.
Delicious sandwiches, salads, Japanese sweet buns and Boba. I cant get enough of this place!
Swung by after dinner for wife & I to grab some dessert to take home. Parked in the wrong parking deck which they couldnt validate but the first 10 minutes were free so the dude literally made my frappe as fast as he could and yelled GOGOGOGO as he handed it to me. We made it with literally 1 minute to spare, you rule dawg 😎
This location is comfy and has a great selection. We ordered some sweet and savory snacks and boba drinks and we enjoyed all of them.
Dont get me wrong, I love Sweet Huts milk teas or pastries, etc. But every time Ive ordered food (especially anything tofu), it doesnt matter if I ordered it online an hour before or at the store, it always takes them at least 20 minutes to make it. As in, Ive ordered online, showed up on time, waited for 10 minutes for it to come out, informed someone, and then it comes out another 10-15 minutes later. This has happened every time I order food here in the last 3 years.
I was craving a sweet treat and went here. Got a pastry and a milk tea 🧋 for that evening and a garlic cheese pastry for the next day. It did not disappoint. SOOOOO GOOD! The hubby got the chocolate moose and also enjoyed it.
The service here is exceptional and I enjoyed the sweet treats that I received in the bobas are amazing
I visited this place couple of times and also ordered a birthday cake a while ago as this bakery has very good ratings. This will be my most favorite bakery in Atlanta. Midnight lady cake is a must for chocolate lovers 🤎. Macaroons are the best I’ve ever ate especially Mango flavor 💛! Waffle fries were fresh, well cooked and seasoned 🍟.Their packaging is so neat and cute.I didn’t like the swiss roll though 😒I will recommend this for all ages as they were not very sweet like most other places and I will surely visit again and again 😊
Love the vibes, employees, and Honey Jasmine Green Milk Tea with honey boba!! I frequent here at least once a week since discovering it about a month ago :)
So nice I bought the same cake twice. Amazing. Go.
The service is beyond slow, it always feels like they are in a constant state of panic. They will also just put orders out without calling them so other customers end up getting them mixed up looking through them. I’ve waited over a half hour for a single milk tea. Their flavors are too sweet despite having them made with the lowest sugar option. The facility is clean, it’s conveniently located, and the tapioca is usually pretty good
Super cute place!! I tried their Creme Brulee milk tea with boba and it was amazing!! They had so many options in their bakery and the price was not bad at all!! I will definitely be back!
This is a very cute bakery, the selection is good, and I really appreciate the steps that they took to protect customers during the pandemic. Every sweet is either packaged or behind a glass case. They have you wear gloves to pick out your treats to protect yourself and others. The selection of treats is mouthwatering and even through a mask you can smell the breads and cakes. The milk tea selection is great and the hazelnut milk tea is delicious! They even heat seal your drink so you dont have to carry it around if you dont want to immediately drink it.
It’s so dangerous to go here because I want to eat everything. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t delicious here.
A wonderful place to get a snack or a meal. I had the portabella mushroom, veggie sandwich and it was delicious. The baked goods/pasties are delicious and an amazing selection. All kinds of snacks at a place like this!
The best place for dates and business meetings. Its always clean too.
Always a good experience whenever I go to Sweet Hut. Good boba drinks and employees accommodate within reason. Fast service and their desserts/pastries are always enjoyable when Im feeling in the mood for something small and sweet. I dont really buy their meals, but their sandwiches are good for the most part.
I have very good experience dining in Sweet Hut. The place is very comfy with good music choice and comfortable seat. There is plenty of charging pot and good wifi connection. Foods are above average but it comes with varieties. The customer service has space of improvement. But it does helps me to cool down after a long day.
You walk in & your greeted by a sign with instructions 🤨.The children👨👨👧👦, oops ! I meant the staff are ALL behind the counter🤦.Basically you pick-up a tong, tray & your on your merry way through a very limted, dry looking display, which will turn out to be dry🤬 upon tasting. The fancy cakes are @ the counter, it strikes me as a student spot,or a place you meet because its close. Its dreary, drab & utterly forgettable, if you have a serious sweet tooth & you love your pastries.
Ridiculously good. Everything is unbelievably delicious. Soft and sweet.
Where do I begin the desserts were amazing. The mouse was decadent. The cakes were moist and packed with flavor!! Next time in Atlanta first stop!!
Nice options for sweets and Boba tea.
Great bakery in midtown Atlanta. Because of Covid, could not sit down inside, but it dose offer din-in and would like to experience that when the restrictions are lifted. Got our order to go. Recommend you get there early on the morning and not in the evening because there is not a lot of choices in the evening. Prices are high, but thats because of location - midtown.
Seating area is closed now because of COVID. I like how their food items now are individually wrapped. Last time I visited before COVID, none of their products we wrapped. Staff were knowledgeable about their pastries and cakes. Store seems clean and welcoming!
This location is really big and they have a really pretty set up too. Nice options to choose from yourself (the curry chicken buns are so good!) and the set menu is decent too. Not to mention you can actually get bigger, full sized pastries as well.
Wonderful place, within walking distance from my home....the pastry with the onions smothered on top was amazing!
Love the pastries and the boba tea. Try each pastry as least once.
Lordahmercy! These cakes are absolutely amazing. You have to try the Japanese cheesecake. It tastes like air and magic.
Helpful staff, not too crowded, everyone wearing masks.
Great authentic Asian bakery! So happy to get to eat matcha donuts, light fluffy Japanese cakes, Taiwanese pineapple cakes, and yummy red bean pastry with delicious golden egg yolk!
Pastry is awesome, and also the burgers are great, one of the best I ever had
They are being strict about Covid - allowing only a few people in the store at any time and you have to wear a mask to enter the store, or buy one from them for a dollar. Kudos to them for trying to keep everyone safe. They have adequate parking and a few outdoor tables to sit and enjoy.
Love the choco mousse. It is also always great to go here for a late night snack and boba tea. The milk teas taste good. I would stick with the original though.
Chicken curry triangle is tasty. I was blown away by the Bulgogi Philly Cheesesteak sammich. It was delicious.
I love sweethut I cant wait for the one in Buford highway to open up for sit in.
I love getting my sweet tooth fix here! The selection of sweet is enormous and there is even hot coffee and tea so you can pair your dessert, relax, or study. Theres also varying sizes of desserts so you can choose what you like. Their bubble tea is really popular and some of the best Ive had in Atlanta. Theres usually a lot of people here--but its because this place is great! Ive never had to wait too long for my order and theres plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
This place is so aesthetic and the workers were so nice. I love the japanese cheesecake it tasted like a sweet cloud. The only thing I didnt like was the matcha bun it had chunky bits even after I heated it in the public microwave for said buns.
Got my birthday cake from there this year. It was absolutely beautiful and cake with these cute candles and a gorgeous box.My only real issue was it just lacked flavor. The sponge was very light and airy. The cream was basically unsweetened whipped cream. And there were a few chunks of fruit in between the layers, but I’m not sure what they were and had no taste. So while it was an absolutely stunning cake it just needed—flavor.
