Worst location I have ever been to. The lady who was checking me out did not pay any attention to me as the customer. Instead, she was scanning my items while paying attention to her coworkers laughing about someone who had called over the phone. I then asked her to apply a coupon I had and she couldn’t figure it out, but didn’t ask anyone for help just repeatedly kept saying “it’s applied” when it was not. The store is not as clean as other locations and is very unorganized. I’ve bought from this location multiple times and it still is in the same condition. Will not return.

This was my first retail store experience in a year and I was pleasantly surprised! The shopping baskets were sanitized, the staff was so kind and socially distanced, and they also politely asked me to move farther back in line when I got distracted and moved too close to the next person. Everyone working there was super nice and helpful. Thanks for making my first trip back so safe and and pleasant!

I’ve been going to Ulta for a couple of years now just for color. Amanda colored my hair on my last visit and I will definitely go back to her. She also provided me with a number of tips for my natural hair. She was pretty awesome!

I saw another comment regarding their store pickup and should have listened! I received an email saying that my order had been picked up but I haven’t picked it up. They just give away your store pickup without verifying if it’s you! They need to do a better job of making sure that the correct person is picking up their order. I did pickup for the convenience but now this is a major inconvenience!

First off, this location is really well-managed and upscale! I mostly just went to this Ulta Beauty location to pick up an online order placed for pick up in-store. It was ready quick and they had my Ulta bag sorted and ready to go. It was quick and that tells you how well-managed it is. These guys are doing a really good job. They are on top of things. Subpar customer service. Came up to the counter and waited for someone to assist me. There were 3 Caucasian women standing there, one on the phone and the other 2 were talking. None of them made eye contact with me nor greeted me. It took an African American worker to come up and check me out. Thought it was weird.

Today was my first time shopping here and will be my last time shopping at this location. I went in for two things. My deep conditioner which they had and a eyebrow pencil. Once I was informed by the associate working in the bareMinerals area that they did not carry MAC. That was fine with me. I chose to purchase a pencil with bareMinerals since I have used the foundation which is WONDERFUL. Im African American and bareMinerals is for ALL SKIN TONES. The woman instead redirected me to another section with a woman who is a so called BROW expert and that women was African American. The woman opens a box of the eye brow pencils and rolls it up. I test the pencil and she says its not a tester we are not testing products right now. So why didnt you state that and why did you open the product!!!! I honestly dont remember the name of the makeup brand because I didnt care to know. I didnt appreciate the other woman saying a better match for her. Like I cant HEAR. Because all makeup BRANDS is a match for all SKIN TONES. Sorry to say if I was caucasian or some sort. She would have gladly helped me. Ive had plenty of women other than African American help me with makeup that went well with my skin tone. If you dont know how to help people of COLOR that should be said or you shouldnt be in that section!!!!!! I was very displeased. The lady who did checkout was very PROFESSIONAL and KIND. Thats the sad part. I will definitely support another location.

Warning: DO NOT do in store pickup at this location!! Your purchase will just be given away!I placed an order online on 9/14 here for pickup. I received an email in the morning on 9/15 thanking me for picking up my item. Mind you my work schedule is the exact same hours of this Ulta operational hours so I haven’t even been able to leave my house. I had planned to pick it up on my day off prior to the deadline of 9/19.This lets me know that this location DOES NOT follow pick up protocol. An ID nor barcode was checked for pick up. Luckily, the item was not expensive but still!! I am still wondering how in the world someone was able to pick up my order with no ID and no order information. My name is also pretty unique so it is not common or easy to mistake for another name.Now Ulta has collected the money from the order and I have no item and no reconciliation. It was a 21 days of beauty item so I received a 50% discount so if I just repurchase the item it would be at full price. This defeats the purpose of the purchase.So unless you would like your item given away randomly to anyone I would advise not doing the in store pickup!

I didn’t have the most pleasant experience shopping at this location. Workers did not want to be bothered so it was hard to find one who was willing to go out of their way to ask if you needed help. Cashiers at the front desk were really rude and while checking me out continued to have conversations with other workers about how they’re ready to leave and not pay any attention to their customers. As I received my change back, my cashier threw the money in my hand making a lot of my change fall out all over the desk and didn’t even acknowledge that it happened. Please understand that the staff hired represents the business. And should stay professional and do their job by implementing good customer service. Otherwise, find another job that doesn’t deal with people. In addition, this location was never stocked up but if you ask someone they’ll go grab it at the front desk. Not to mention, there’s no saying how long the makeup has been sitting on the shelves. Some purchases of foundation showed signs of the makeup already in pretty bad shape. I did have to return some products for that reason. I’ve purchased the same makeup products from other stores before and never had this issue. I happen to try this particular Ulta to realize the difference in smell and texture for the same exact product just that it’s from this location. This is unsafe for customers and should definitely be taken care of.

I have had several bad experiences at this location. Employees are more interested in stocking shelves with product then helping a customer and closing a sale. You are rarely greeted when you walk in and nine times out of ten you have to find what you are looking for yourself.

Dennis the Supervising manager at this location was amazing. My wife and I came in 5 minutes till closing and not only were we created with amazing professionalism Dennis was quick he understood what I needed to do with my return he was friendly about the transaction and very understanding. Unfortunately I dont always get this type of service at all the Ulta locations so this transaction makes me want to come back to this location over and over again. You could just tell that he really enjoyed his job he also was interacting with his coworker in a friendly manner and it was nice to see that as well as you dont always see that at other locations.

First time visiting Ulta Beauty for their Salon. My hair stylist, Sydney, did a great job. She was extremely accommodating. My hair turned out great, and Ive gotten endless compliments from my co-workers at our company party.I will mention they are short-staffed. Sydney had to stop styling my hair occasionally to answer customers questions or help them find products.

I come to this store a lot because it’s convenient to where I live, not because I like it. The staff at the register is never kind and just always has a bad attitude. I can’t speak for the other members on the floor because I usually am just in and out and don’t need help. I work in retail so I know there’s bad days, but I also know what good service feels like. This isn’t it. I’ve done the order online and pick up in store option before and it’s been fine besides the girls at the register seeming a little confused, but today was ridiculous. I came in to pick up a hair product I had already paid for, only for a rude girl to emerge and say “we don’t have it.” I literally wouldn’t have cared besides the fact she was super rude and unhelpful. They cancelled my order and I decided to see if I could find the product myself. I found it in 5 seconds. Nice.

James answered and said, just got a cancelation, come right now and I will get you in. He was fabulous. Very sweet and accommodating and knowledgeable. Fabulous end product 2 hours later. Another bad customer service experience. Kudos to Mercedes for speaking once my husband and I entered unfortunately for the other employees blatantly ignoring us. The black lady with the red hair should be ashamed because my husband sat there and watch her watch him around the salon area without asking may I help. No one asked may I help. I wouldn’t let those students touch my hair go to a real salon and I will order my 70 dollar relaxer online..... drive up sales online so the employees won’t have to ignore brown customers that spend money. This past weekend was my first and last visit. The manager racially profiled me. At the counter was a basket of item marked down I grabbed two items from the basket, and asked the young lady at the register who also watched me grab these item said yes! Just make sure they ring it up for that price. She happen to be the cashier to assistant me, she called the manager over and this woman proceeded to tell me she will not sell me any of the items, and she didn’t believe that they were marked by them.... excuse me I don’t walk around with fake tags to buy makeup! She then snatched the product and walks away... hummm no sorry for the confusion nothing just I’m not selling this to YOU! Wow what a impression smh I’ll take my money to A store who does judge me or my purchase or non purchase racist!!!! Sad

I had a ball..the extremely knowledgable Artist who helped me was wonderful, made great suggestions, offered excellent advise and aided me in my decisions!I will be returning next weekend, and I hope I see her again! Customer service helped when I asked, but didnt offer help when I browsed through the whole makeup section. Nor recommended anything else by what I was asking about. Didnt have the product I went in for but said they could order it online and have it sent to me to my house with no shipping. Which is great, but seeing as Im usually an online buyer already when I go to a store to pick something up I usually want it now, not later. Of course, have to take into account not every store can carry every product. So overall, good experience.

I usually prefer to shop at Ulta for their variety of both higher quality and more affordable products. I also like browsing the store in the event that I need a new product, so that I can try out different brands/colors before making the investment.This location, however, I will not visit again. Multiple salespeople hovered around me my entire visit, probably assuming that I was going to steal something. Two of them repeatedly approached me asking if I needed help in a suspicious tone, literally not even waiting 2 minutes in between each inquiry.One of the salespeople, after asking me three time whether I wanted help which I politely denied, ended up walking over to me and aggressively tried to make my decision for me when I was taking too long to pick out a product for her taste. She didnt even listen to what I said I wanted when she forced the conversation and kept trying to hand me things that didnt make sense. Very rude and inconsiderate. I literally walked away from her and would have left the store without my $60+ purchase had these not been items I needed in the immediate future. I also probably would have bought a couple other items I was considering, but it was incredibly uncomfortable to browse and I just left with the items that I needed.Bottom Line: Save yourself an irritating experience and either order online or go to the Buckhead location for a better in-store experience.

So what you read in their website should be verified by calling. If its a slow day the estheticians go home, so when you need a last min anything, call ahead, because you just dont know when theyll leave. Theres a few guys that work here that are great and there are others that you can tell they stay their hours to collect a check but are not useful. For my first time coming in, it creates a sense of unpleasantness that I probably will never try this location again.

I came to this Ulta looking for the new Juvia’s Place foundation. I was having a hard time picking out my correct shade so I asked one of the employees if she could help me. She shortly replied “No, we only color match prestige products”, and offered no additional help. I then asked her if I bought the wrong shade would I be able to return it. She said “No this just came out so you can’t return it.” But Ulta’s return policy states that if you are not satisfied with an item for any reason you may return it. The employee was consistently rude and short with me, and with that, I will no longer be shopping at this Ulta location.

Went into This store few weeks ago . Store appearance was neat . I was Greeted promptly at the door. I came in for Anastasia palette for my teenage daughter. I also Was curious on foundation for my changing skin. Thank goodness for one lady who helped me . Forgot her name, but she understood my problem and found me an awesome foundation to help with acne as well. Clinique was the brand . Omg thank you ! I regained confidence .

I went to another salon to get my hair done. I needed it done for my birthday. Needless to say I left that salon very dissatisfied. My hair looked terrible. I was literally in tears. I had heard great things about this location and I needed my hair fixed ASAP. Upon walking in, I was greeted by Joscynthia. What a beautiful being. I was still in tears and explained the situation. She gave me a hug and told me not to worry about anything. She would get my hair looking presentable and fabulous. And that she did!!!! As she flat ironed, she informed me of all the products she was using. She explained what they did and how it was beneficial to my particular hair type. I’m natural, and sometimes people don’t quite know how to handle my hair. I left a happy camper. This time crying tears of joy!!! She clipped my ends and made my hair look the best that it ever has. She was a godsend. Thank you Joscynthia and Ulta. You have earned a loyal and repeat customer.

Wasn’t greeted upon walking in or walking up to the brow and lash bar. Asked about Hering brows done all the girl said was she had someone coming in for an appointment in 5 minutes. I asked about another time she said she had another appointment. At no point did she attempt to look up an open slot or anything. It was almost as if I was interrupting the conversation her an a co worker were engaged in. It’s unfortunate that companies employ people who don’t care whether they make or lose money for the company. This store just lost me as a customer. On top of the fact I was going to buy 2 other items... oh well won’t be coming back here and won’t be suggesting it to friends.

Takia was extremly helpful and answered every question I had. She let me try everything I was interested in, spent about an hour testing makeup on me, and even recommended a better skin care regimen without being pushy. Today was the last time Ill visit this location. The manager Mary was uninterested in helping me get an out of stock item, not suggesting ordering it online or finding another option or even apologizing. The garbages were overflowing, makeup displays messy and disorganized, and MANY items had testers out but no product. I can order online from other stores an not have to deal with a dirty store and unhelpful staff.

Went in on a Sunday as soon as they opened up (1pm). There was me and maybe 2 other people in the store and no one bothered to greet us. I wanted to exchange something and I waited at the counter . There two people behind the counter already but were busy having a personal conversation. They completely ignored me and kept talking until they were done. Finally one of them was able to help me because they got tired of me standing there. I dont understand why people like that have jobs in a customer service field. Ulta needs to do a better job on training. I wont be going back to this location.

First time visiting this location and I’m never going back. I’ve never been discriminated against until I walked in here. I asked the employee for a certain cosmetic brand (black opal), she told me to go to Walmart because that’s where the cheap makeup is. I am african American and so was she. I was being watched the entire visit by women who share the same skin color as me. I am a makeup artists, I require various prouducts for all different skin types. I still spent $250, I needed those products immediately. I’ll be going to Sephora from now on. I’m only giving this 1 star because the cashier was extremely sweet

Howell Mill location is missing a lot of products. (They dont carry the full dermalogica line). It a waste of time, if you looking for Dermalogica. Id rather go to the Buckhead location, although they are bit more stuffy.

The service at this location was very poor. My mom and I were not greeted or asked if we needed help finding anything while 2 employees were chatting near the front entrance the whole time. At checkout, I had accidentally grabbed the wrong sale item and the employee checking me out didn’t even offer to help me find the right item. Overall, not a great experience at this location and I won’t be returning.

Wish I would have read these other reviews before I wasted my time here... ready to spend plenty of money and after asking for assistance, someone off the clock referred me to another associate, who took about 2 minutes with me, said she couldnt find my shade before she said she had to help another customer.... I turned around and she was chatting with the cashier while filing her nails. I found the shade that she wasnt able to, Bought the bare minimum of what I needed because I was desparate, but will definitely spend my money elsewhere next time. Go to Sephora at PCM, everyone there is super friendly and actually wants to help. Super frustrated!
