Petro Atlanta on Donald Lee Hollowell PkwyMy first experience: I had a wheel hub leak on the trailer and they changed it out. I do 500 miles and notice it was still leaking! I had Petro change it out again and guess what’s still leaking? It’s not as bad as it was at first but it shouldn’t be leaking AT ALL!2nd experience: I was desperate for a PM so I got one done. Big mistake! The technician put in a cracked fuel filter and my truck wouldn’t start back for an hour. He kept telling me to turn the key but it wouldn’t start. I was nervous as hell because I could tell he DID NOT know what he was doing. Thankfully a more seasoned tech came over to assist. This guy says to me “sorry ma’am but my coworker put the cracked filter back in the box and I didn’t check it before using it on your truck”. Talk about me being furious at this point. The kicker he overfilled the oil now my oil pressure is low! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION! *******DO NOT GET ANY WORK DONE AT THIS PLACE!!!!!!! They clearly hire anybody because experience doesn’t seem to be requirement. ZERO stars is my rating

Mixed reviews on this one. Ive had great service from this location at times but today was not one of those times. The cashier was very rude and dismissive. He did not even take the time to greet me while I was making my purchase. Not asking for a long conversation here. A simple hello and thanks, come again would have sufficed. I will keep visiting the Iron Skillet, since it is housed at this location, too, but I have my doubts about visiting the store any time soon.

I asked why was I told to call back the lady who answered the phone act as tho she didn’t know why someone would tell me that. I eventually went inside at 4pm to put my name on the list, I was told it will be 1 he before someone calls me. 6pm still no call so I call to see where I am on the list, I was told they need to finish up a few things and they will call me in 30-40 min, it is now 5 min to 8 and still no call. It is full of young guys walking around trying to look cool, while at the same time doing no work. Moving Snail pace as if the drivers dont have lives themselves and are waiting on them to do their job.I came in to only get 2 tires replaced, not a PM, not anything major, simply 2 tires replaced. The tech that they put on me has been pacing around the shop for the past hour. Do yourself a favor, if its a minor repair, or tires that you need replaced, just go park somewhere and call a local indy shop. I called this petro shop with the repair order for 2 drives tires at 5pm, Im still sitting here at 8pm and the tech is just getting started. Never again!

FYI, reserved parking is $20 per night. TA/Petro raised the minimum purchase to park overnight from $20 to $25. If you reserve a spot, you have to spend an additional $5 inside or at the restaurants. Its definitely NOT $45 to park. And for the slip of paper youre handed when you pull in, the date and time stamp is on the back of the paper. Also, Atlanta has been pay-to-park for the last two years Ive been on the road with my boyfriend. Outside of that, employees inside were really nice. Theres now fencing and barbed wire around the building to keep the riff raff out. After reading more reviews, TA/Petro has said for months that they werent going to suspend reserved/paid parking.

Overnight parking is NOT free BUT they have ways around it. So the parking here was honestly horrible. The whole structure of it needs to be redone. (Easier said than done) when you pull in you have to stop at the guard to get a ticket. Don’t lose the ticket. It’ll cost you $60!!! The first 2 hours are free. 24 hours is $15. Now you have 3 options. 1) pay the $15. 2) fuel up 60 gallons of diesel or 3) spend $20 at the store or restaurant. We decided to eat at the restaurant since we just got fuel right before we got there. The inside is nice though. They have a workout room, tv room, barber shop, pool tables, games and more! I think most of the bad reviews are based on parking. Be prepared to get frustrated. Since it’s in the city it’s packed. We went early in the morning about 10am and parking was almost full, tight parking quarters and some drivers who park wherever they can. Just go slow and be extra aware! Its about 10:30 pm at the time so I decide to take a nap until he gets here. I wake up at 7am and no one has came back to help me. I go to the desk and ask what the deal is. Apparently no one works on the particular issue I have after midnight and they forgot I was there. So five minutes later a mechanic is looking under the hood and tells me I need a new part and he is going to go get it. Finally progress! Or so i thought. Had $1400 work done at their shop. They say they cant load a shower on my card. They can load points on the card, but they wont show up for 24 hours. Customer svc dont work weekends. Now these folks want me to buy fuel? What a joke. Ill buy fuel somewhere else. I am so glad I havent bought fuel at ta or Petro in about 5 months. Guess I have to beg a shower from another driver instead of these people loading a shower. Thats how they treat customers here.

I usually like Petros, but this place is pure theft! $25 to get through the gate and then they have the unmitigated nerve to charge for reserved parking...which is about 75 percent of the total spaces. If you have any choice other than here, TAKE IT!!!!

If you get here late dont expect to park unless you can find a legitimate parking spot. Got here around 8pm on Christmas and guard told me theres no parking. As Im driving around there are tons of trucks parked wherever and not in spots. So I find an ok spot that is out the way and park for the night. I got woken up at 3am by a rude old man in a golf cart telling me I have to move. So I ask where am I supposed to park? And he says I dont know. Because he doesnt care and hes not the one that has to drive a truck every day for 10 hours then hope to find parking for the night. People that dont drive a truck just doesnt understand how difficult it can be to find parking at night. Only a few hours after Christmas you would think he has something better to do than rudely wake up people in the middle of the night and tell them to park elsewhere.

So here is the deal 8/23/2015 I called to reserve my husband a spot at Petro Atlanta #322. The website and person I talked to claimed they had a laundry area as well as other amenities. He was almost out of time and had to start his reset. When he got there the female attendent was more worried about shoving her mouth full of food rather than taking care of a customer. We had prepaid for the parking which was fine $15 would have been well worth a safe place for him to park, get his reset in, do laundry and relax. After getting over $300 in fuel, he headed inside with his laundry planning to get it out of the way. Low and behold there is an under construction sign on the door to the laundry area. Lets just say he wasn’t to happy with that. So he took his still dirty clothes back out to the truck and then returned to the store. Spent $40 dollars on a pair of pants and some undies so he could have semi clean clothes after a shower. To top it off the showers were a joke, almost all of them were out of order, the working one was dirty and was not cleaned before he went in there or before the next guy went in. So trucker BEWARE do not stop at Petro Atlanta #322 If you are needing a shower or to do laundry.
