I loved the coffee! We visited from out of town and I was grateful they required masks and asked for vaccine cards to sit in the cafe. Its a very cool spot. I wish I lived closer to go every day!

Coffee was stronnnng in a good way! Lol...met some really cool locals who showed me around the area. They have a great selection of flavors to choose from. I think I got the hazlenut and it was solid. Not as much flavor as I wouldve liked but it definitely got me through the night

My husband and I are always looking for unique coffee shops when we travel and we really enjoyed Java Lords. Owner was super nice and the coffee was delicious! Atmosphere is very unique for a coffee house but we truly appreciated the change in scenery. Also this shop has milk alternatives for those (like me) who need it. We loved the sense of community felt here!

Stopped in for a to-go coffee. What a cool place! I got an iced latte with sugar free caramel. Delicious. Not many places have sf options outside of vanilla, so this was a great find.

Cool spot for coffee drinks and alcoholic beverages. I appreciate that they require either proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result should any patron wish to sit and hang out.

Wowza, came over here to do some work. Had my mask on and my vaccination card in hand, walked in, no one was there, so i walked to sit my stuff down with plans to return to counter that’s literally 5 feet away…large leather vested man (didn’t catch his name) barges in, and starts yelling at me asking if i saw the sign. of course i did and i read online too, hence my mask and vaccination card in hand but no one was there. He yells back, yeah ur supposed to wait for me—i didn’t know. And i just wanted to sit my stuff down. I hold up my vaccination card but as he continued to lord over me (ha) i get the sense that i should just leave, so i did. really uncomfortable with the entire interaction and upset that i already paid for parking and now have to go find another spot to work when i was so excited about this one. I’d like to make it clear that I HAD MY MASK ON AND VACCINATION CARD IN HAND and yet the man still approached me with so much hostility and as a woman smaller than him, i truly felt unsafe. There were two more ppl coming in directly behind me, they left with me and agreed that what transpired was a lot. I understand COVID procedures and COVID-related worry, I respect it all but this truly felt like it had a tinge of something else. Don’t go here.

When I entered I did not get a positive vibe from the workers, but their negative mood did add to the gloomy-coffee-bar vibe. I could tell my presence was either irrelevant or unwanted. The coffee was okay. The space is small, bit there is a back patio. The area is bustling and I was afraid something might happen to my car. The employee there admitted the area gets rough at night so be cautious about parking. The only redeeming quality about this place is how late it stays open. Not recommended.

I love a cozy lil duck off coffeehouse & this place satisfied that! It also has so much more to offer like very interesting art work all around along with a full bar! Love it here just very smoky near patio door.

Comforting little nook tucked in near the bicycle shop with speedy customer service, intriguing decor and seriously outstanding coffee. Me and my family needed a post-dinner cup of joe and dropped in for cappuccinos....but left with the former in addition to 3 of the special coffees with alcohol. Mannnn, it was delicious. Coming back, dont worry.

The vibes here are awesome! It really gives good way for us studying good coffee and the service here is pretty chill.

This diner is a step back to simpler times. The food is definitely on point. The blueberry pancakes are overflowing with blueberries, my wife had the hangover special and she really enjoyed. Service is top notch my coffee cup was always full, the server was very warm and helpful. The donuts all I can say about the m is forgetaboutit that good.

The atmosphere was very unpleasant and the coffee was extremely mediocre. I wouldn’t comeback to this place even if it were the last coffee shop on earth. The staff members were somewhat friendly but extremely strange. Overall experience was very low quality.

Dive bar/Coffee shop thats open late. One of the only late night spots to get espresso in Atlanta. Dont expect too rowdy of a crowd, but its not really a bring your laptop and study kind of coffee shop. I come here to read every now and then, but the lighting is not the best at night. Theres a black box theater in the back that I havent found out what goes on back there, but it seems fun??

Coffee was fine. But I just wanted to use the bathroom. There was a sign that said No public bathroom, but there was a bathroom in the back. I tipped the guy more money than my coffee was worth just to go to the bathroom.

Solid place with great coffee and drinks. A great place to get something during intermission and seven stages. A lot of great little 5 artists hang out here. Some friends were physically threatened by a local musician and managment moved to physically protect them but the drunken looming thug has not been banned last I heard. But hey it adds more character to a place that already has a lot.

Java Lords is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall coffee shop. Its kind of small, kind of dark, and home to some really strong cups of coffee. Its right next to seven stages so its easy to stop into. One of my favorite places in L5P

This is NOT a specialty coffee place. The espresso weve got was awful, with pale crema, as if extracted from an automatic machine. It tasted as it looked. The barman didnt know much about the coffee he served (referred to it as some bland). The machine was a good one, but it wasnt put to any good use, unfortunately.

Definitely a weirdo type of vibe. But very inviting. I felt 100% comfortable. Its like a good neighborhood bar.

Small Bar, coffee, teas, some desserts and it stays open late. Nothing fancy but a great spot for a late date, or great meetup spot for friends. Not a whole lot of room but enough for you and couple of friends. Little outdoor screened in area. I love to meet my friends and loved ones there for late night coffee and talks.

Ive stopped into this place several times before to buy beans and Im consistently impressed. This is the best coffee around. The staff knows their coffees and are very informative and friendly. I literally would buy my coffee EXCLUSIVELY from Java Lords if it were closer to me. Highly recommend.

Great coffee! Friendly staff. Non judgmental and really cool wall art and atmosphere. They have a variety of drinks and a full service bar which is especially nice if youre a night shift worker and want a conversation with someone while winding down. Free WIFI and outdoor patio area if youre a smoker(essential in Little 5). They will typically have a nice selection of pastries and I like some of the Southern takes they usually have there. Pimento cheese and bacon pastry is something I get at least once a week.

Every time I go in “just for coffee” I end up stuffing my face with a deliciously rich quiche or pastry. Friendly staff and chill vibes.

Good coffee and booze with very chill vibes. The music can be a little heavy on the metal which Im not a big fan of. Being open so late is a huge perk though and makes this place a staple for late night folk

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years. They’re my favorite cup of coffee in Atlanta and a chill spot to grab a beer or cocktail from at night. The staff have always been super friendly and awesome.

The coffee wasnt to my taste, but the atmosphere was great, very open and relaxing. Ive listened in on a few really good convos held at the bar. The coffee wasnt to my taste, so Ill try their teas instead.

I love to stop here and rest my feet after walking around Little Five all day. The bartender and barista are great and know their s***.

This is a unique place! I can appreciate the atmosphere, but getting any writing done is a tad difficult when the music is already loud. Ill go there next time I dont have to work. Oh!and theyre open really late!

Im a long-time coffee aficionado; Im constantly in search of that perfect cup of joe. My search ended with my first espresso from Java Lords. They are such experts in the craft of coffee making that I sometimes wonder if they might have slipped an addictive agent into the mix because every time I even think of L5P, I begin to salivate over the idea of Java Lords coffee.

This place is amazing. Not only do they have food coffee but they have 3 stages for shows and a patio area. Out of the many coffee shops around I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Really cool spot to grab a drink, caffeineated, alcoholic, or sweet. There are a couple tables and booths as well as the bar. Connected the to the playhouse next door. Coffee is served late into the night which is perfect for when every other coffeeshop is closed. The sparkling lemonade tastes better than San pellegrino.

I drive 10min out of my way every morning to get to JL because yeah, the coffee is that good. The roasting is done in house and it is awesome. The attitude is take-it-or-leave-it because really, at 7:00am who is supposed to be happy to be awake? Not me, and certainly not the morning staff.

A bar, a coffee shop, a theater, and a restaurant all in a cramped space. Bit hard to squeeze through the throng to get to the seating area. Everyone is aloof and hip. The chai is good.

Its too dark as a coffee house, working here doesnt feel great. But I guess drinking there at night is a whole different vibe

I drove out of the way to come to lava lords to only be greeted with tons of attitude. I would not reccomend lava lords ... very disappointed
