This place was really cute. Definitely on the pricier side but fun to try at least once. Directions to this place was excessively complicated. The worker was nice and masked but the cook in the back who also busted tables was not. The food was so-so. I got the chicken panini and although it was good, it was not spectacular by any means. My hot chocolate was good but not great (I did like that it was made with milk and not water though). Hubby ate the salmon croissant - he said it was good but also nothing great. He really enjoyed his coffee though. Outdoor seating was full but luckily they had very few people inside so it was still easy to social distance. Overall, we had a fun time eating French food but we probably won’t return.

What a wonderful experience. I give this place 5 stars for the service!Things you should know:I. LOCATIONIts on the back portion of a plaza off of Roswell Rd. The parking lot is out front of the cafe and we found a couple available spots rather easily.II. SERVICEThe service is why I gave this place 5 stars! Alfar was our coffee barista today. He was VERY passionate about his job--I say this because he gets to know his customers and asks genuine questions. It makes you feel valued and just sets a welcoming tone for your visit here. We stayed until the bakery was about to close and instead of throwing away the baguettes left over from the day, Alfar offered us a couple to take home..! Ive never been to a location so generous.III. QUALITYAssuming the staff gave us some baguettes at closing time, they must bake everything fresh daily. The fruity petite four pastry I bought wasnt dry at all. Very impressed.IV. CAPACITYWe found seating during the mid-afternoon on a Thursday. The booths can get very comfortable for long stays.

No walls between tables or anything though it looked decently spaced out. The VERY next best thing to visiting Paris is coming to Cafe Vendome ; a miniature Paris tucked behind an unassuming looking building off Roswell Rd.. Colorful macaroons piled high in the cases, mushroom quiche, baby caramel eclairs, the fragrance of cafe au lait swirling in the air with Edith Piaf music and the patronssophisticated accents .... ... YOU MUST TREAT YOURSELF TO A VISIT TO CAFE VENDOME TOUT SUITE..

Good bakery! But in my opinion it is overpriced. The madeleines were soft and very tasty. The coffee eclairs were very good: the puff pastry was fresh with great texture and the coffee cream was good, although it could have a stronger coffee flavor. I was disappointed by the chocolate eclairs: vanilla cream instead of chocolate cream filling. The pain aux raisins is really big with a brioche style dough. The macarons were too sweet, I would avoid them. The staff was professional and helpful. Except for the price, I will recommend that place.

Amazing pastries, beautiful interior decor. But the coffee is consistently bad, despite using high quality beans. And the service is polite but sloppy.I ordered 3 brewed coffees for my group. 2 cups came from the last dregs of the old batch, and 1 fresh new cup was served much later. All 3 had coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup, even the fresh cup...clearly something is wrong with the coffee machine.Serving customers leftover coffee, coffee grounds mixed in with the coffee, and beverages for a group coming out at separate times instead of all together at once? Thats pretty basic stuff. The food was very tasty. But we found 2 short hairs in the quiche! The person eating it was a woman with long hair, so definitely not hers. And the food came out so late, by the time the food was served, we had finished our coffee and had nothing to drink. The food and pastries are tasty. But the management is a mess. Employees dont seem be trained at all, not even in basic protocols. And it looks very bad that the owner was just sitting around using his phone when the service is a mess like this. The food and pastries are tasty, so I will still continue to come back. But probably just to-go, and Id get coffee elsewhere.

Review №42

Maybe it is Atlanta after all and I shouldnt expect much! the food is far from being authentic, well the music was. The croissant aux amandes was far from being one! From the croissant dough to the frangipane(was it really?) Not to mention it was completely undercooked(see picture)! Also the choice is very limited when I was there. The displays were 2/3rd empty. While I love Valrhona chocolate, there was nothing with chocolate to even try... So I decided to try the strawberry tart. It was also lacking freshness. The strawberries on top had no taste and creating a taste out of a strawberry jam added under them did just made the tart too sweet and removed any freshness feel we expect to enjoy in a fresh tart. Maybe I came on a bad day but that is enough to remove this from any good list. A good place has to be always consistent! And to think that they have a huge picture of Carette on the place des Vosges in Paris...

We first went to this place when it had just opened up. Metro Atlantans are extremely fortunate to have quite a few authentic French/European bakeries, this is certainly one of them. My friend often hosts a French language meet up here so we can get our dose of French conversation. I like to get a cappuccino which is strong and perfect, occasionally a macaron and both are tasty! I havent yet tried the food, just the pastries and coffee. If you dont go early enough on a Saturday the baguettes are usually sold out, but there are other baked breads which are crusty and just right. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Fortunately there is ample parking in an around because it is located in a shopping plaza.

Buyer beware! I am trying to support local restaurants during this crisis time by ordering through Door Dash or Ubereats and most of the time all is good with the restaurant getting it right or making it right. This restaurant; however, did not. First, in the Door Dash menu, when you order the Quiche you are asked to select what type of side potato you want and the type of dressing. I never did get the potatoes so either this is not an option or they forgot them. If restaurants are going to use delivery services, they need to make sure the menu is correct. I ordered raisin bread and instead I received a chocolate croissant. I understand that substitutions sometimes need to be made but how is raisin bread comparable to a chocolate croissant!? Such a waste to throw it away, which I did, and I wasted $7.50. Great restaurants actually take the time to call and let you know and come up with something that is actually comparable. Not this place and when I called the girl said they were busy and when I asked her to check with the manager on substituting the chocolate croissant with a ham and cheese baguette, she went away and never came back. Oh..she was willing to throw in a $3.50 baguette. How is $3.50 comparable to $7.50? After several minutes of waiting on the phone, I hung up, hoping they would do the right thing and call back - NOPE. Just because people are ordering from delivery services does not exempt them from getting the same great service as if we were standing in the restaurant and face to face. As for the mushroom and onion Quiche? If you want a hard dry crust that is loaded with mushrooms sprinkled with the odd onion and sparse egg custard then this is for you. No cheese that I could tell either. Otherwise if you want great Quiche that is heavy on the custard and/or cheese accented with add-ons, go somewhere else. Very disappointed since everyone else seems to give this place great reviews but I will never return or recommend.
