I found myself in Atlanta on Labor Day when apparently a lot of places are closed. Needed something that was open after 9pm for dinner, I stumbled on Apres Diem. This place is a gem! They have ample outdoor and indoor sitting and a bar and bakery. We sat inside at a cute little booth. The menu is a French theme with Latin and Mediterranean options. Our servers name was Julie and she was a delight. We ordered calamari and the fruit and frontage appetizers that came out very quickly. It set the tone for what turned out to be a very amazing meal. The calamari was typical calamari but the marinara sauce which had a subtle kick to it was really delicious. The fruit and frontage had Brie wrapped in philo dough with honey and slivered almonds over it. It was amazing. I also had a cup of the tomato bisque which had bacon pieces over the top and happen to add excellent flavor to the soup. Our entrees were very quick to follow and just as delicious. Apparently this place has been around for 30 years and I can see why. If I find myself in Atlanta, I will definitely have to stop by again.
Ended up there right before close. Was going to Highlander but was too noisy with music that was not pleasant, and I am so glad that I ended up here instead.Crab cakes appetizer and the ravioli of the day was chicken. Entree was delicious and well presented. Make sure you have a look at the desert display. The lady who works the desert section was very friendly and gladly named all the flavors.Nice atmosphere at the location.Server was attentive.
Best experience! The food was super tasty, the ambiance is quaint and quiet and it provides a nice environment for having a nice conversation. Our server Arabella was on top of it. I explained we were in a rush and my food magically appeared within minutes!!!! Not only that, when I was ready to pay, she appeared out of nowhere with my check, as if she was reading my mind. I dont remember going to a restaurant and being waited on like that in a long time. Prices and location are great too!
First date. Food was awesome! Company, Ill try someone else next time! The Cham-pain-less drink was really good. Jerry never could have afforded to take me here!
Great atmosphere. The food is delicious and service is great.
It was my friends birthday and we went to have dinner and drinks. Bartender was great! The whole experience was a real vibe. I will definitely be paying them a few more visits...S/O to David...👍 great service.
Good spot for brunch. Their salad with tuna, eggs and white balsamic vinaigrette was delicious. Wife ordered the cubano which she enjoyed as well. Outdoor seating is nicely ventilated with their outdoor fans and they for comfy couch seating for bigger groups.Overall good spot and would def. Be back to visit.
This spot is one of my favorites. The waitstaff are accommodating, friendly and very professional. The atmosphere is just right and comforting; doesnt matter whether your dining with friends, family or on a special date. The food is delicious and theres an assortment to choose from, and parking is not an issue. Great place to eat and have fun. You will always keep coming back. Highly recommended.
I like this restaurant thats a fair price for what you get the food is always fresh and top-quality the staff is extremely well trained and very client-oriented. They never confuse up the orders
Great place for brunch or a quick bite. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. Fresh, tasty, and nice people. What else can one want?
Food was fantastic great atmosphere as well and plenty of outside seating. Perfect place for a date.
Good ambiance with lighting at the table. Food was a pleasant experience but not stellar. Good service and indoor and outdoor seating.
My burger and fries were fabulous. My girlfriend enjoyed her salad. And she adores the desserts here. We came back the next day for another dessert, which was just as fabulous. Nice open seating, under a ceiling, with view over round peaceful courtyard area. Super place to chill out if its raining. Lovely!
As a regular customer and server, my experience was terrible this time. Manager’s attitude is HORRIBLE. My boyfriend asked for a burger without mayo or onions and the burger came out with Mayo. After trying to scrape it off, he decided to ask for another one. The waitress said “she’d ask” although we asked for the burger to be a certain way and it wasn’t our fault. They brought out a second burger but this time it had onions AND was burnt. We asked for another burger to go and the manager came out. Manager was very rude, dry, inconsiderate. When she took it back I reminded her that it shouldn’t have onions or Mayo and she cut me off and walked away. Owner came out and explained everything, which helped and he said he’d comp the burger. Once our server brought out our bill, the burger was on it. When we mentioned it she said we still had to pay. We asked for the manager and she said she’d get the owner but said “he’s really upset”. You shouldn’t tell a customer that. He took the burger off as promised. I usually have a pleasant experience but no one should have to request an order 3 times. A manager’s attitude should be way better than this one’s. I was a regular but will not longer give this establishment money.
Apres diem used to be one of my after movies favorites. The food was always special with a spicy touch. Today was a big disappointment. Yes, I had my grandkids with me but the service was terrible to start with. The waitress completely ignored us but eventually someone came and took our order. Now comes the gastronomy. Big disappointment. We order hamburgers for kids. Simply put- not taste, no salt, no flavors, hard piece of meat. Then came my fish sandwich-simply put, same characteristics as the hamburgers. The chicken sandwich was better but still, not what it used to be.So for $15 a hamburgers i would expect at least some flavors but I guess was not my lucky day.
Apres Diem is one of my go-to coffee haunts. Good food, folk and fun. The fish sandwich of the day with a side salad always satisfies. And the tasty coffee selection helps completes a visit.
Always, always and winning selection. I have loved Apres Diem for years. It never disappoints and this was no different. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and great staff.
It was good. I do enjoying coming here whenever Im in Atlanta. Staff was friendly and masked. Place was clean. Atmosphere is nice. Patio large. One complaint I do have, though, hence the missing two stars. SIX DOLLARS for a café au lait? Thats ridiculous. I dont even know know a $6 café au lait would taste like? Ambrosia? Sweet nectar of the gods? An elixir? My drink wasnt bad in anyway, but I was definitely caught off guard by the price. Especially since their coffee drinks are not listed on their menu from the qr code on the table. Kinda flying blind. I definitely would have stuck with a drip coffee had I known.Im not saying dont come here. I AM saying ask for a price if you dont see it, just to be sure youre not going to be surprised and can make an informed decision.
Cool restaurant…used to be goodDecent food…bad service
Sllllooowww service. Good food and desserts, fun atmosphere. If you come for a drink or coffee and dessert, itll probably be a good experience. If you come for dinner, service is usually slow and kitchen timing is usually off. Its been this way for years.
My friend and I came for the Sunday brunch. I had the brunch burger and he had the breakfast burrito.. It wasnt all that good. We felt like we could have made it at home, and neither of us is a very good cook. The portions were also really small. This is the first restaurant in memory where I still felt hungry after leaving.
Food is okay, but staff is usually friendly and their patio is the best. Love going there with large groups of friends.
Was looking for a chill spot to enjoy a meal before a movie premiere and found this awesome spot.I had this amazing adult coffee thatI wish I could remember the name, but I can say it tasted amazing with just the right kick of liquor.Following that up I had the salmon cibattaThis was pretty good and the tomato really gave it that perfect touch. My side was an excellent. And if I remember correctly it was the lobster bisqueReally enjoyable.Overall, a lovely experience with a great waitstaff and incredible views inside and out. Definitely a great spot to relax and even better date spot.
Good place for quality drinks and good food. I dined at the bar with a friend. Enjoyed a polite atmosphere amongst other patrons at the establishment on a beautiful first day of spring. Carlos was professional, attentive and suggestive of meal offerings with tailored coffee offerings with carrot cake. Looking forward to my next visit.
I was in the area to see a movie at the theater next door but due to traffic we missed 15 minutes and decided to go to the next show. To kill time why not have lunch and some libations. There is outdoor seating but we chose indoor because its so hot. As soon as we stepped in I was greeted and told we could seat ourselves. The bar is to the left. There are bar tables with high chairs and there are regular tables and booths to the right.I fell in love with the place almost immediately. Why? It was intimate and had a familiar bar smell that took me back to my home in Philly. The only problem I have with place is that we were virtually ignored for 20 minutes aside from a young lady bringing us water when we first sat down. I can understand everyone being busy running each others tables. But someone should have noticed our table had nothing on it because we sat close to where they pull food from the kitchen. We were finally taken cared of by Karen. She apologized to us and we ordered Lemon Drop Martinis and Calamari. The bartender in there is the bomb. That drink almost knocked me on my %$@&. Yes it was that good. We both ordered Angus Burgers no egg with salad and fries. Best dang burger Ive had in a long time. So so good.My dessert was Kalua Cheesecake. They dressed the plate up for me for my birthday. It was delicious. This is the kind of place that only the local folks who live in the neighborhood would know about. It is a gem. They also play live jazz music. Ohhh I felt like I was in New York in the summer time. It was all so lovely. Everyone was in a fantastic mood. I will definitely return.
Awesome ambience definitely a little bit pricey but not too overwhelming great for a date night
One of my favorite spots. Ive been eating there regularly for a very long time.
Not a bad place to grab a an app and beverage while waiting for your movie, but otherwise there isnt anything that really makes Apres Diem stand out expect the patio. It has true outdoor seating as well as a pretty neat indoor/outdoor space which allows you to still enjoy sitting outside even when the weather isnt the best.
I am a very frequent customer of apres diem and have been for 3+years.On Aug 7th 2021 I came to apres diem at 10pm(kitchen closes at 11 and establish closes completely at 12) upon entering I noticed the table near the door with the semi cushioned sectional available that me and my spouse sit in faithfully when guest here. There is a twin section adjacent with 3 young women in the section. As this is a “sit where you want establishment” I requested the seat that I accompany every-time since, it was available, I was told that this seat has a strict rule of 4 people or more.Me with three guest confused, I point out the other 3 guest at the twin table and ask to speak to the manager who I assumed would reconcile the situation, she did not. Mya the manager relayed to me that this is a strict rule that they must now follow. I have been here now 45 minutes. The employees have not sat anyone in the last 35 and there are many seats available being that they are fixing to close the kitchen and establishment. This will be my last time at apresdiem
Food and service was good. The beef short rib was very delicious.
Not a big array of food options but the drinks were good. The music from next door was quite annoying being that iWas seated outside but overall nice place!
Prefect date setting or just catching up with friends. Outside seating with huge umbrellas food is awesome. I always get the angus burger she is get the salad with chicken.
A charming location for a date night. I love the vibe, decor, and service here - always a great dining experience.
Exellent place for dinner, great food great service
My first time eating here, but definitely not my last. The Salad Nicoise was excellent. I was a little disappointed in the Arnold Palmer because they dont serve sweet tea. The waiter (very attentive), brought me simple sugar and it made all the difference. I plan to return in the near future.
APRES DELIGHT: Ive frequented Apres Diem many times over the years, but this is the first time I was compelled to leave a review.I walked up for a light and lazy afternoon lunch around 2pm, looking for a quick calamari fix and then a stroll in the park. But then I saw the specials board and immediately adjusted my desires: Scallop and shrimp stuffed ravioli with lobster cream sauce.. whaaaaat?!?So I quickly sat down, was quickly greeted and I quickly ordered: calamari and the ravioli! The calamari came out first.. and in my experience, calamari can be either basic, bland, or bangin.. this was the latter. Lightly battered, crispy and fresh. Yum! And then the ravioli arrived. It looked really good. But how did it taste?Ive been told Im rather picky when it comes to culinary delights.. and I cant quite argue that point. In my defense, I would say that I expect a decent meal for a decent price, if the price is higher then the expectations rise. But terrible food is terrible food and Im not going to be silent about it. So with this in mind I took my first bite of the ravioli.A description of the taste wouldnt do it justice, but Ill do my best here.. AMAZING!! The sauce was an incredible creamy concoction of shaved parmesan cheese, bits of lobster, tomato, onions.. and bliss. Then the ravioli. Al dente to a tee. The scallop and shrimp doing a delectable dance in my mouth and it was all I could do to not pass out from the awesome flavor that floated over my tongue. Bravissimo!!The hardest part of the whole meal of stopping. I paused and put two raviolis in a to-go box to deal with later that evening. All in all the day was seized, as was as the flavor, and I totally recommend you keep an eye out for the welcomed return of the ravioli special!!Ciao.
The atmosphere is always great. Has class and comfort. Drinks are really good! Staff is always happy to help and is patient. Food is the only real weak point. Hit and miss, hits are home runs! Desserts are crazy good.Cool date spot.
Drinks, Dessert and coffee.. yum! Great brunch spot also.
The people here are lovely - and provide GREAT service. And the food, sometimes just super simple dishes, are always special and delicious and made with the freshest ingredients. It’s a staple.
The calamari, the salmon on ciabatta, the atmosphere. All top shelf.
Went on 11/14/20. Outdoor dinning at this establishment is very nice. Almost gives you the feeling of sitting outside on your very own patio. Patio provided a soft dim lighting and and also provided space heaters which is a definite plus for me.Their website mentioned a DJ. I didnt see or hear a DJ. I would have really enjoyed that. But nonetheless, service was good and I would revisit.
Apres Diem is a hidden gem in midtown. Great spot for lunch, dinner or brunch! Nice big outdoor patio and they do live jazz Wednesday nights which is a lot of fun.
Love the outdoor seating area. Calamari was delicious!
This is such a great place to meet up with friends and hang out. I had a great night there that I will never forget. Service is friendly and food is quality.
The food is wonderful. Unfortunately, on this visit, my party and i were never waited on. Seems the servers were too busy or maybe we were seated in the wrong section. So we left..
This was such a nice place to sit outside and eat. The service was amazing and so was the food. And how can I forget my drink lol! Well definitely be back.
First time dining in. Absolutely enjoyed the ambiance and food. Esther was incredible. She was our server and made it a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend this place!
JUST had desserts and coffee, both were very good. Service was excellent, would definitely return for other food.
One of the best service staff in all of Atlanta. They accoomdate outside seating with heaters when its cold outside. Super super staff. Cant recommend them enough.
I drove up to Atlanta from Birmingham to have dinner with friends and this place was amazing. The Moscato was delicious, the hummus creamy, and the vegan peanut butter chocolate pie ...perfect.
We ordered food to go after our meal . The waitress charged us for the food and never brought it out to us .
The food has been yummy since my first visit in the early 2000s. Not a fussy spot. Ive enjoyed lunch here alone. I would recommend it for a date or hanging with friends. Dining is outside now due to the pandemic but its a charming experience as the sun sets. If you see anything on the menu you want to try I suggest going for it. Great theater right there also when and if those reopen.
I really enjoyed my experience there, everyone was especially helpful, the food was great and our waitress Laura was warm and inviting, I will definitely go back real soon 😊😀😋
I love this place. The food is always good. Great drinks and great service. I go here quite a bit.
Such a wonderful place. Shannon and the staff are gems
Used to be a regular for years until today. The worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I always like to order desserts after my meal. Today I decided to order a tiramisu and after eating almost the entire thing I figured that it was covered in MOLD on the corners of the cake cut!!!! It’s UNACCEPTABLE to even think this is okay!!! Unsanitary and disrespectful to even have something like this to serve to your customers. A free appetizer for the “next time” doesn’t cut it, Do better!
My dinner experience on the patio was superb. The waitress was very good. My food was excellent. I will dine again before I leave Atlanta.
Very good and tasty food! Enjoyed the atmosphere and pleasant waitress 😊 I enjoyed a lime Martini...fresh cabbage and avocado salad with tons of flavor...lobster ricotta with shrimp sooooo yummy....more food than I could finish. Enjoyed the remaining the next day and it was even better ❤
Id give it 10 stars if I could!!! This is my favorite place in Atlanta by far. Indoor tables and bar, outdoor seating, and outdoor covered area so it is great for lunch, dinner, or drinks. Wonderful wines and drink selection. Fantastic cakes including delicious vegan options (vegan chocolate raspberry mousse is amazing). Best part of all is its in midtown near the park and not expensive at all! Dont hesitate to try Apres Diem!
Delicious as always. Went on a Sunday for brunch. Had the waffle plate with eggs and bacon. Great service and plenty of parking. Staff is energetic. Music playing in the background outside. Bring a mask if you plan to go inside. Remains a staple in Atlanta. Yums
Salmon farfalle was disgusting!!!! Sangria wasn’t good, and the lobster crostini was served with soggy bread!!! What a waste of money.
Great indoor/outdoor dining space
It was my Grandmother’s 85th birthday and I asked discreetly, do you guys do anything for birthdays ? The waitress said yes. As time goes by another waitress came out and brought a bill for a piece of apple pie and ice cream. This is after we just paid for our meals. Plus she ruined the surprise for my grandmother by telling her the piece of apple by was burnt and to remake it. I had no idea that the piece apple pie plus the additional fee for ice cream was a cost. I simply asked what do you do for someone’s birthday. It could have been easily communicated to me that it was a fee. Most restaurants offer complimentary treats for someone’s birthday and that did not happened. In the process of looking for the 2 waitresses that came to the table to correct the error I talked to another waitress who was very rude and nasty. Trying to make a point that didn’t make sense. Then I talked with the original waitress and said since it was a miscommunication she was going to discount it for me. She had to get the approval from the manager and the manager Isabella came back and was no help at all. She was very rude and didn’t care I was a 1st time customer and that her staff had a communication error. So instead of paying nothing, to half, to finally paying for the whole thing. I really felt it should’ve been comped because the staff drop the ball and had no communication plus the whole surprise was ruined for my 85 year old Grandmother. This is my first time out in months since the pandemic and I was really excited about going out to spend with my family but ended up a nightmare. The whole issue I have is the principal. People need to know if they are paying extra for something. It is a pandemic going on and I am paying customer that is helping your business stay afloat and I shouldn’t have been treated that way. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff especially the manager on duty and one of the waitresses was very rude and unapologetic.
The atmosphere it’s so beautiful, peaceful and chill. Whoever chooses the music, they have a really good taste! The decoration it’s so beautiful as well! But the food... man, it’s so goooooood! I always get the veggie sandwich with fries on the side with a cup of tea 😍 it’s so damn delicious!! I also like this corn soup that I only tried once, because everytime I ask for it they never have it :(, which I understand, the soup changes all the time!
Theyre very busy on Saturdays but our food that we waited an extra long time for was Luke warm when it arrived and my steak had a lot of char on it making it taste exceptionally bitter. Also, they ran out of the sides we ordered but didnt tell us until our entrees were delivered. Seemed like they had their staff stretched way to thin. Poor guy was running like crazy to barley keep up. We also waited forever for our ticket. The food was nothing special and not well executed but the atmosphere outside was nice. It was disappointing. Steak should never disappoint; its an easy A.
Great atmosphere here. Reasonable food prices as well. This is a great place to take a date or meeting up with friends.
Good food! Plenty of safe outdoor space
I love apre diem. Been going for years. Great European style restaurant. Salmon farfalle is my favorite with a sidecar to wash it down.
I SAT FOR 15 MINUTE WITHOUT EVEN BEING GREETED BY ANYONE. I WATCHED OTHER PEOPLE WALK IN AFTER ME AND THEY WERE GREETED WITH A FEW MINUTES. THEY WRTE NOT VERY BUSY AT ALL. I DONT KNOW WHY I WAS NOT GREETED OR SERVED BUT I WAITED SO LONG AND WATCHED THEM GREET EVERYONE ELSE, I JUST GOT UP AND LEFT. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AGAIN. I WAS SO EXCITED TO TASTE THE FOOD BUT NEVER GOT HELPED.
Always great service food hotLittle pricey
I love this place. Food is consistently fine, space is open, service is kind and polite. Currently, with covid-19, I feel safe going there with a couple of friends. There is enough space between tables and waitresses are wearing masks at all times. Menu shrunk but still gets the essential. A little piece of France, of somewhat French at least : )
Service was great. Food was alright. But it wasnt a place where you would be excited to return very soon.
It was okay. The inside is dreary with dark paneling. Thee menus and tables were sticky. The staff was accommodating and helpful. This restaurant is located off Monroe behind the Trader Joes, next to the cinema. It’s congested at the front of the shopping center, but plenty of parking in the back.
Thanks to the most attentive waiter, Lazar, my friend and I had a most enjoyable dining experience at Apres Diem. From the moment we arrived, Lazar ensured we were never without anything. The food was fresh and delicious, and served up quickly! The atmosphere is chic and delightful. Everyone around us appeared to be as satisfied as we were. Ill be back! Highly recommended!
We’ve enjoyed this location for more than seven years and never once had an ofc meal. However, our pasta was not as amazingly flavored as usual. Called and spoke with Mia “mgt” and she said she watched them make it and can’t imagine that happening. 😳 Unfortunately our loyalty ended today. This response from owner looks good but provided no solution to the issue. I actually called the very next day as the restaurant was closed after our delivery arrived. At the least I expected them to send me a new dish or certificate to try again later. Again, seven years no issue but when voiced, we were shrugged off with a, “let us know in the future”.
Great food. Amazing service!
