Mixed bag on this one. Constant communication problems from the start of process. Continued issues communicating after the purchase to have a simple tag transferred. Highlight of the process was the exceptional service given by the finance department. Will not be a return customer
We had a very good experience at Jim Ellis Mazda. Rochelle was super friendly and helpful. She also helped us get a good price for our CX-9! I would definitely go to her again.I looked at the car on three different days. On the middle day I showed up unannounced, and it turned out to be Rochelles day off. The dealership paired me up with somebody else that day so I could learn more about the car. Everyone there was very helpful.
Worked with Xavier Hamilton and was super pleased with his demeanor and knowledge of all the Mazda brands. He knew all the features, options and details of the cars to help guide us in our decision making process. Ultimately, we ended up choosing another brand for various reasons, but Xavier was a rock start. Would highly recommend him to others looking for a Mazda. Best of luck Xavier!!
I wouldn’t recommend this place. Unhelpful customer service on the phone and unhelpful service personnel.Customer service told Me on the phone the Mazda in Roswell doesn’t even exist? Should have been my sign not to come but I came in for help because of my spare tire, as I was uncomfortable driving with it all the way to Roswell and he wanted to charge Me $300 without trying to help/understand the situation. Told me they have nothing to do with the Roswell location. Please go to the Roswell location. Very nice and kind people.
Unbelievably poor service, pathetic. I live in TX and my daughter in Atlanta - I recommended she take her Mazda in for servicing to the local dealership. Complete fail - she came away with five error messages that are still evident in her dashboard system, they *did not* do basic checks, even though the 20-point checklist was completed (Her friend helped her check the cabin air filter later and it was black, full of debris) and the next oil change sticker is for 47,000 miles. Her car has 55,000 now. Thanks for taking care of my daughter JEM - not.
These guys were great! Picked up my Mazda speed 3 from the Atlanta Vehicle processing center and took it In for a tune up and drive belt replacement before driving to TN. 1.5 hour and the car is running great! Customer Service by the Service department was awesome. And to boot they picked us up from our cat rental drop off site! Thanks guys!! Highly recommended Jim Ellis Mazda!

I bought CX5 GT AWD from this dealership. Finance manager John and Salesperson Seth is remarkable staffs. Their customer service is so much better than dishonest dealership near me so I decided take 4 hours drive to come here. And yeah I made great business with them. I love my car :) It is beautiful car and looks like European car shape but so much reliable and cheap for maintenance since this car made by Japanese. Ive been hearing from people this is super nice car more than 50 times. It just gorgeous. If you live near by Georgia go to Jim Ellis Mazda in atlanta. Youll never regret :)
Hands down the best Mazda establishment Ive ever been to. I didnt purchase my CX-5 from here, but Ive been getting Galaxy (my trucks name 😍) serviced here for the past 3 years. All the guys who work in the service department are so welcoming, so helpful, just as sweet as pie. They video record the recommendations they have for your vehicle and send it to you. The service they provide is exceptional.
I really wouldn’t recommend this place for regular maintenance or any service. They greatly overcharge for services and don’t give much in discounts. I came in to get several noises on my car fixed and they gave me a quote of $1500 of repairs needing fixed. So, I started one thing at a time and paid almost $300 for something that did not change a single thing about the car. When I called about this they said I had to get everything fixed on the car for that to stop. Tbh it sounds like they don’t actually know what’s wrong and they’re just telling me possibilities and charging me for it. I will find myself a different repair shop because several items they quoted me for can be done much cheaper somewhere else. Also they charge almost $80 for a oil change and tire rotation. Take your service elsewhere.
I have been a Mazda customer since 2013. Over the years this location has given me varying levels of customer service. I really think it depends on who you get to help you. Obviously, the poor experiences stick in my mind more because of my expected level of service and the costs of car maintenance. This weekend I had particularly bad service from Ralph in the service department. And the cashier Herman wasnt very friendly either. Sometimes I just take the hike up to Roswell where the service is much better and consistent, but I shouldnt have to do that with this location being much closer to my house. I either need to find a different service shop or stop driving a Mazda. Mr. Rosser I hope you can do something to curb the inconsistent service at your location.

Always happy with the service for my 2016 CX-5. They recently started sending videos with a summary of your cars inspection and its a great feature for a dealership to have. You get it while youre waiting so you can ask questions if you have them right when you see the video.

All of Jim Ellis dealerships are great. As soon as I walked into the Mazda showroom Sam came up and asked if he could help me. At Volkswagen, Alex came out of the showroom and met me in the parking lot. They have someone checking temps before entering and everyone wears a mask. They were both very cordial and helpful. In contrast, I went to a Subaru dealership Saturday and except for the receptionist not one person approached me. I waited 55 minutes before leaving at which time 2 salesmen said they could help. Sorry! Day late and a dollar short! There were no sanitizers, few or no masks being worn. Really want a Subaru but ....
If I could give this dealership zero stars, I would. I have been working with Sam M. for two days via text about receiving a CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo with the black interior to the lot since there wasn’t one in stock when I initially reached out. I had committed to visit the dealership in the evening after work to see the car on the day that the car was delivered. I arrived at the dealership only to be told that they had received two of the vehicles that met my exact specifications and both were sold that afternoon. At no point was I notified of this update before driving an hour in rush hour traffic to purchase a vehicle. I wasn’t offered an apology for this inconvenience, and I was sent on a test drive in a different vehicle with an administrative assistant who sat on her phone with her AirPods in for the duration of my test drive. Absolutely abhorrent customer service from Sam and this dealership. Go elsewhere for a Mazda.
Ive went there 4 times and have had great experience all the time except one, when the receptionist was really grumpy and was shouting at almost everyone LOL. Other than that, Rochelle is a great manager wholl help you with anything. Please go visit her!Also, hope they upgrade Mazda 6 interior soon.
At Jim Ellis Mazda, Xavier helped me check out the Mazda CX-30 and while I didnt end up going with that model, he was extremely pleasant and helpful in my car search. Xavier was not the typical car salesman - he showed empathy and patience towards me and put my car needs over his desire to sell the car. I would highly recommend visiting Xavier if youre in the market for a new Mazda.
Jose was the best. Him and the finance manager are honest and truthful. I drove my previous vehicle for 14 years. They made the process of buying a vehicle again so easy. You can trust them. They do their best to get the best deals for their customers. I was also very impressed with the quality of cars at Jim Ellis Mazda. Every car from used to brand new was top notch.

Came in for my Mazda cx-5 for the infotainment system as it was on perpetual restart until the car warmed up enough. Service department said that the software needed updating but my car was not under warranty so it would be $70. They did it for free and washed my car and wiped it down. So nice :) will definitely be coming back for other car issues!!
I had a good experience with Jim Ellis Mazda in January of 2021. They had a car (a 2018 Mazda 3) I really wanted and worked with me on the price. This is my first Mazda, so Im really liking the car so far.
Ive been dealing with a very hard to reproduce rattle on my 2020 mazda3 for a while.My service advisor from the original dealership confirmed the noise, asked me to bring my car in, kept it for 10 days, didnt fix it, and gave up.So I brought it in here instead. They fixed it. I brought it in 3 times and everytime their tech talked to me, gave me the rundown of what they think is wrong, whatd they do to fix it, etc.One of the few service departments where the service advisor actually take the time to talk to you and follow up on the fix.

Went to look at at a mazda cx-5. The salesman (Jeff, I believe) told me that if i wasnt sure I wanted to buy one then he wasnt going to take the time to show me the car. He unlocked the SUV for me and left. Didnt even turn the car on for me, walk through the features, or offer a test drive. So, if you are car shopping and DEFINITELY know you want the car even before looking at it this is the place for you. I ended up buying an SUV from another brand because they actually cared. Most of the other dealers I visited were great. Not this one..
Wonderful customer service. I left my bluetooth in the waiting area; it was found by an associate and they were nice enough to ship it to me. (I live too far away to make that trip for anything other than to have my vehicle serviced)
Had another great experience buying a car at Jim Ellis Mazda Atlanta. I bought my first car from here in 2017. It was such a good experience that this was my first stop when upgrading to a new CX-5. Jose R was friendly, professional, patient, and well versed. Any questions I had, he had the answer. He allowed me to take my time with decisions--I never felt pressured which I regard as the most important trait when Im buying a car. He respected that it was a big decision and when I needed more time, he was accommodating. Thats why when I was ready to buy, Jose R was the first person I reached out to. Cant say enough about how well things are run at Jim Ellis Mazda Atlanta. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a favor and drive 30 minutes south to Hennessy Mazda instead. After test driving a vehicle here at Jim Ellis Mazda, I sat down with the sales guy (Brooklyn/jersey accent dude) and the very first thing out of his mouth was he cant offer any discounts and has zero wiggle room on price. What the heck is the point of going to a dealership then?? I left and went to Hennessy Mazda and their STARTING price for the exact same model/specs was already $4000 lower, and they still worked with me on price.
Learn from my mistakes do not get your car serviced here. ❌Firstly they broke my car key fob and instead of offering a free replacement they gave me tape to keep it together and prices for a new key.Secondly I spent $1900+ because my car was making weird clanking sounds while shifting. They never managed to fix the problem and after all that I took it elsewhere that found the problem to be lose motor mounts total cost of repair $200. In addition to that the mechanic that actually fixed the issue said a lot of things had been left lose by whoever worked on my car last !!I know the PR reps of Jim Ellis will most certainly respond to this review and deny that any of this ever happened.

5 stars for the Mazda service department coming to my house and driving my car back to the dealer to be repaired and then bringing it back to me. The porter left his loaner car at my house.The only request they did not fulfill was that the porter drive a Porsche 911 to my house and leave me the keys to it while my car was being repaired. Porsche 911 for a CX9. Fair trade right? 😀😀😀

My first time buying a new car and I was quite anxious but Lisa was the best! She took all the time I needed, gave me very satisfactory numbers to begin with, and chatted with me while we waited. Very pleasant and cheerful lady! She even put off her lunch for more than a couple of hours which was delivered to her while I was in the office. I especially appreciated that NEITHER Lisa NOR the finance manager used any sort of four-square related misdirection, and were very clear about how much I was paying for the vehicle, how much it was out the door, how much interest was on top - which cant be said about a dealer a few lots down the road... I also had forgotten to get the privacy cargo cover for my car, and the porter delivered it to my house within the hour!The only negatives to the entire car buying experience were: 1) it took so long to process the paperwork. We had worked out the details and such within 45 minutes or so, but finance, response from banks, signings, waiting take a long long time. Not really the dealers fault; 2) My car came straight out of the storage lot and was very dusty. They did a quick wash job, but perhaps a bit too quick. A lot of dust left around the small gaps and spaces and there was some weird dry sap like residue on the roof that looked like big scratches that I didnt notice until I got home. Luckily, it all came off with some water and soap.All in all a really outstanding first-new-car-bought experience.
My wife and I have been researching small suvs/crossovers for a while now. She decided on the 2020 CX-5 and reached out to many dealerships in the are via email. This first email had questions and answers about what she wanted and how she would go about it (doing as much as possible via email before going into the dealership cuz RONA). One question she asked was the out the door price.Seth (our salesman from this dealership) was the ONLY one to answer her questions vs OMG Karly I would love to help you how about you come into the showroom today???. Seth was not pushy, did not try to bump us to a different car or higher trim level. Simply asked what we wanted and pointed out options they had in stock.Cut 30 minutes later Jim Ellis was able to give us enough for our trade in and we had a deal.Seth was an excellent salesman. Thomas also helped out in the beginning.Get ready to say no no no no no to the usual slippery finance guy.
These guys are amazing! Especially Rafael! I have literally never had a better experience at a service shop whether at a dealership or otherwise. The first time I came in I had no appointment and was very stressed out as I was about to leave on a long drive. Rafael went out of his way to make some availability last minute. He and the team inspected my car to rule out any major issues and I felt safe to go on my way. After I returned Rafael set me up with an appointment to look deeper into the issue. They found the issue and once again went way above and beyond by looking into my warranty and pushing to ensure that the repair was covered within it- I didnt even know I still had anything under warranty!! They lent me a great temporary vehicle, fixed mine and took extra care and time to ensure there would be no cost to me. They are easy to schedule with, good with communication and just super friendly and helpful. My car is running great! Cant thank you enough Rafael!!

Recently brought my car into this dealership for a 20,000 mile service. Front desk staff were customer-oriented, communicative and clear. Waiting area is comfortable, with refreshments provided. Not having FOX news blaring at you was an added plus !!. Work was done in good time and total costs very reasonable vs. main street providers. Would recommend.

I am so appreciative of Rafael and the rest of the team at Jim Ellis Mazda, I brought my vehicle in because I was having speaker issues, and he discovered that I had 6 open recalls for my vehicle. He had one of his best mechanics knock out 6 hours of labor in 3, and my vehicle is working great. He was also honest with me in terms of my best options to replace my speaker system, and for that Im appreciative. Needless to say, their customer service is unmatched.
I worked with Seth Rogers and he was very knowledgeable and wonderful to deal with. We are not locals but purchased our vehicle on the way back from vacation. The car and paperwork were waiting for us when we arrived and everything went smoothly. Seth took the time to show us all the bells and whistles on our new SUV and as a part-time DJ he made sure we knew how to get the best sound for our ride home! I would recommend this dealership without any reservations, everyone was terrific!
I had a great overall experience at this dealership. I walked in and worked with Juan from the car browsing, to the negotiating, through the financing stages. He was professional, not at all pushy, was always available to answer any and all of my questions from the time I walked in the door to the time I drove off in my new Mazda 6 four days later, and just an all around nice dude. Jim Ellis Mazda has excellent customer service! I’ve had my Mazda for 2 years now and any issues I may have had the service advisor Phillip has helped me every single time. The wait time for an oil change or service repair is quick as well; if they cannot get you out quickly usually you can schedule to have a car drop you off or a loaner car. I highly recommend this dealership, they really do care about your vehicle and providing excellent customer service.
WORST customer service. I bought a car from here in April 2019 and unfortunately it was totaled October 2019 (Not Mazda’s fault, just backstory). They were not responsive and very lackadaisical when it came time for Mazda to return proper funds to the bank. They dragged their feet the entire gap coverage process. It’s March and they are just now sending warranty checks back to the bank. Can you imagine the impact that had on my credit?! Michael Johnson ignored my calls for a week and a half and was sarcastic when I did get in touch with him and mention that I’ve been trying to reach him. I mentioned in every voicemail to him to please call me back and let me know they funds were sent. That is just courtesy since it’s taken them so long to send the funds. Michael just assumed that I was just suppose to know that the checks were sent. All they want to do is get you into a car and out their faces.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Their staff is professional and the service is quick. I came in for service on an open recall. Everything was easy from scheduling the appointment and getting the repairs done. I definitely would recommend this business. They also let me know what upcoming maintenance my car would need. Customer for life.
These guys were very honest with us. Pep boys claimed we needed a new alternator so brought it to Jim Ellis...they tested it and said nope it’s fine and didn’t even charge for the diagnostic. They totally could have sold us $1000 repair we believed we needed but they didn’t. Usually I’m not a fan of dealership service centers but these guys are changing my mind!!!!
I had a great time with these guys. Seth took great care of me, and answered every last question I had. When it came to the financing part Mr Johnson took the extra time to break everything down to make sure I understood what I was getting into. He got my payments well below what I could afford, and made my journey to owning my very first car an all around great experience.
In this latest visit, I was told that a drop-off appointment time of 10AM was perfect for a Tuesday. I arrived 9:45AM to drop off my vehicle for an oil change and screw to be tightened elsewhere in the car. I was told that the service would not take longer than 2 hours. No one in service could answer the phone all day and at 2:30PM I finally received a call back saying my car was not brought into the shop due to being backed up, but was promised to have my car ready by 3:45PM. I asked if they just kept pushing my car back and handling waiting customers in the lobby. I was assured that was not it, but if they were backed up so much, why were the customers in the lobby different people from when I came in to drop off the vehicle? I arrive at 3:45PM to my car not ready, but it being ready around 4:30PM. I was to get off of work at 3PM, with no means to get home. I had to wait until 4:30, and it then taking over an hour in traffic to go home due to unorganized employees that could not manage time slots for appointments. Why tell me that that time is fine, and no means of transportation was available to get to work for a meeting I had or to get back to Mazda. However, for my troubles, I received the service for free with a tire rotation I did not ask for, as the last time I came in, they told me I could not do a rotation and had to buy new tires because they were worn down, but the tires were not.I was told that my tires were wearing down and that they could not rotate my tires unless I bought new tires in which they would happily do so for roughly $600 (for just 2 tires) during the last appointment. What has changed now that my tires could be rotated? This place is unorganized and dishonest.

I am on my 4th Mazda and really love their vehicles. I just purchased a CX-5 from ANOTHER dealership and was a nightmare! I wish I had purchased my new vehicle from Jim Ellis Mazda. I was having issues with service at old dealership and decided to go somewhere else which led me to Jim Ellis.From the beginning Jim Rosser has been excellent to work with. His staff are professional and friendly. They follow up too!I will continue to use this dealership for all my service needs. Thank you Jim for being awesome and helpful.
I brought my Mazda2 into the service center after having two struts replaced at Tire Engineers on Howell Mill did not fix clunking and rattling sounds coming from the driver side wheel and steering column (and seemed to make them worse). They did a thorough investigation to find the problem and discovered loose bolts on both the struts I had replaced at Tire Engineers. Tightening them and lubricating the steering solved the issue! I worked with Rafael and he was polite and helpful. I would bring my car back in the future!
Jim Ellis Mazda is simply the best dealership I have ever worked with and I am 70 years old! Rafael Mateo listened patiently and solved an electrical problem our CX-5 had been experiencing since February. I would recommend Jim Ellis to anyone!

I had a good experience buying a Mazda3 last year. They gave me decent offer on my trade in, and they handled an issue with the previous owner owing taxes fairly quickly.
If I could give this place no stars I would. All I have been trying to do is get a battery for my car. But they tell me that I cant get a new battery unless I bring the car in. I cant bring the car in because the battery is dead. Everybody keeps telling me they are open at a different time and different information on the battery. Not happy. Save your money go somewhere else.

Excellent Customer Service is the team not turning me away, or even blinking an eye when I showed up a week earlier than my scheduled appointment (which I figured out just now after getting multiple automated reminders of my upcoming appointment today). They never said a thing to correct me or pat themselves on the back for working me in. I just blithely went about my day thinking I was there as scheduled. Im grateful for their accommodation, their professionalism, and their trustworthy service.
The car deals are pretty good but I always seem to spend hours in this place for seemingly no reason. Ive purchased 2 cars now and both times spent a minimum of 4 hours there. The service department has dramatically improved since the new management took over but I have resorted to leaving my car there for the day and picking it up when they call because the time can vary wildly.

Anthony was personable and professional. He was patient with all my question, some of which were repeats. He was also patient with my return visits. I appreciated being offered a detailed price on the car I was interested in the first time I looked at it. That was the only time I was given a quote out of the four other car dealers I went to. It was a useful piece of information needed to help me decide whether or not to go back for a second look. No pressure when we negotiated the final price. Very, very good experience. Love the car.

Anthony was very friendly and personable. We only went through a handful of counter-offers before we settled on a price. I came back the following day to do the financing, and Michael was very professional. I was not pushed towards accepting a service or package that I didn’t want. Overall it was a seamless experience.

Surprised at all the rave reviews. They tried telling me my Mazda needed new breaks and rotors and it was going to be over 1000 dollar service. I was skeptical because I had just bought my car 6 months ago and nothing was brought up on the inspection, and it only had 40k miles on it. I took it two other repair shops where they said both my rotors and breaks were fine, and I would possibly need to change my breaks in another 10k miles.I dont appreciate being lied to. I will never return.
I came into the service center without any appointment as my car was on the brink of breaking down in rush hour traffic. The service advisor Rafael Mateo was quick, friendly and even went out of his way to get me into a loaner vehicle and home safely. Highly recommend, outstanding service!

This February I decided it was time for a new car. I had an Infiniti G35 coupe that was almost 16 years old. I had done my homework by researching the web and knew I wanted to check out Mazda, Honda and Subaru. I decided to visit Mazda first. As I approached the front door Brian Weeks was standing outside and asked if he could help. I shared that I was looking for an SUV and wanted something that would give me the pick-up to merge onto highways. Then Brian, took if from there. He is an excellent listener and is not pushy. He showed me some cars, we narrowed it down to a CX-5 and test drove it. Then we came back to the office and negotiated and agreed price. It was all very comfortable and respectful. He was very open to any questions and could answer every one. No need for me to visit Honda or Subaru. I picked up my new car a week later. My partner was with me, and when we picked up my car, my partner bought a Mazda from Brian too. We liked Brian and I would recommend him to my friends and relatives.
Bought my Mazda here and service it with these guys. Sales dept is okay. Service is always good, quick and of quality work. Pricing is right and they dont make the repair unnecessarily big. they have loaner(I think if they had ur car more than a day) and shuttle services. It is always a pleasant experience servicing my Mazda.
My experience with Jim Ellis Mazda has probably been the best experience I have had out of all the dealerships Ive been to. The service was great and the price on the vehicle was incredible. Salesperson Sid K. and Michael J. in the finance department was a pleasure to work with. Overall I would definitely recommend buying a Mazda from this dealership.

Ive been going to Jim Ellis since 2005 when I bought my first new Mazda. Im on my second new Mazda and I must say that Rafael Mateo is the best service advisor that they have ever had. Rafael puts his customers first before anything else. He has put up with some not very kind moments from me and I just dont know how he does it. Hes always friendly and always sweet and always helpful.
I rarely write reviews; however, I was very pleased with my sales experience with Chris at Jim Ellis. I went in alone, knowing the vehicle I wanted to purchase, a reasonable amount to pay for the vehicle, reasonable trade-in offer and came in pre-approved for financing.- which they even beat! From the second I walked in Chris was attentive and was straightforward. The overall process was a little slower than I thought necessary, but I still give them 5 stars.Thank you Chris for treating a woman (without back-up) fairly and with such respect. I look forward to doing future business with them.

Rafael in the service department goes above and beyond for his customers. The courtesy shuttle is a wonderful convenience while having service performed on your vehicle. Everyone you encounter from sales to service is outstanding. Highly recommend any of the Jim Ellis dealerships in Atlanta but the Mazda store really stands out!
