5 trips and not corrected on new instaill of updated system . Been a customer 20 plus years. The Atlanta office will not even return an email .I amvery disappointed.....one time they didnt even show up after me sitting at home for a full day.Sad

Customer Service was fantastic!!! Shawn was so nice! fixed our problem in 10 minutes and overall gave the best customer service i have ever experienced in my life! Thank you for having such an awesome employee!!!

I have been with this company for 17 Years and have canceled my service due to poor service. Ive taken off work 7 (Seven) time to meet with technicians to repair damages from lightning. The technicians sent out are unqualified and just swap parts, say the system is fine when it isnt. I left a total of 3 (Three) three messages for the service manager and never received a return call. Im being charged for service I didnt have during the Month+ this has been going on, and repairs that dont work. Horrible Customer Service to a loyal longtime customer!!!!!!

ZERO stars!! Horrible company! They forged my signature on multiple contracts. I paid the service for 4 yrs because they wouldnt let me out of the contract. Then when my 4 yrs was up they sent me a contract with a fake signature and billed me for $800 more dollars!! I never even used the service because it was extremely inconvenient for an alarm service!! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY THEY WILL ROB YOU!!

We have had a contract signed for new building construction and waited three months to get the wires ran and panel installed. I called more than 20 times and not once received a call back. I am currently on the phone trying to cancel the contract and they are refusing. On top of that, Protection One still can not give me a date on getting the work started. State inspections are to begin next week. This will cause delays in the inspection for the entire building. Do Not Use this company.

I relocated for a job across the country, and had to live in an interim location that was highly known for crime. Every morning the news would report 2-3 deaths by shooting and burglary in that county alone.At midnight in October I experienced not one, but two break-ins within the same night while sleeping. I know this because the first time my apartment alarm went off, I got up to my front door open. After I called the police, my alarm went off again, and this time my window had been smashed.Terrified, I called Protection 1 at 7 am the next day to see if they could service the security system in my apartment. They told me they could not, and even though I explained this location was temporary ( 30 days) they eventually convinced me to run my credit, charge me $40 for the service, and set it up myself since I could not afford a technician. Fast forward to a month later and I am able to relocate, and I never set up the service.In the process of moving I forget about the box, and a year later when I relocate again, I notice it, and call Protection one to cancel. I am on the phone with them for over an hour, where they tell me they cant access my account without my verbal password WHICH I TELL THEM, and they tell me its not correct. They tell me they are not going to help me, and theyll email me a reset password.( they never did) At this point I dont even have an online account because Ive never made one, so I create an account and verify my verbal password is exactly what I told them. I call again and get transferred to the most rude, arrogant, sarcastic, and cocky account manager who tells me she doesnt care that Im cancelling ( I believe her name was Bridgett) and than asks me if I would buy more services from her. I tell her I never used the service, its still in the box, my account shows that protection one made monthly calls to my box and they always failed because it was never installed, and they never contacted me to see what was going on. If they had called, they would have known I didnt set up the service, and I had relocated.The rude account manager tells me even after a year of service that Ive been paying for its $750 to cancel.Im upset, because I called to set up a service out of fear that I told the sales person was temporary, and he failed to tell me it was a multiyear contract and he pressured me to sign ASAP while I was on the phone or my apartment would continue to be prone to breakins. I have continuously explained that I could not set up the service because it was not user friendly, and I cannot transfer the service because Im living with an individual that already has a security system. So now I must continue paying for a box that has never been used until the end of 2020, all because I was sold a product by a sales person using a fear tactic, instead of them allowing me to return the box. I let the account manager know Id be leaving reviews and she told me to go for it.I would reconsider my experience and review of Protection1 if they did the right thing by letting me out of my contract since they pressured me to sign while over the phone, and not allowing me ample time to review.

Commercial Alarm systems & monitoring is very good operation but NEVER get commercial camera systems with maintenance contract, they got me on 5 year contract and worst service ever by any company I dealt with in last 30 years, I contineously have to call 5 times for each time I have a problem. I have same problem for about 3 months now, they got some issues taken care of after 20 phone calls and 8 weeks and some issues r still not resolved. STAY AWAY FROM MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FROM ADT & protection 1 ......I can write pages & pages of my last 3 years of BAD experience & I have records of all the service calls in my emails so this review is very TRUE & LIGIT.

If i could give 0 stars i would. I signed up for Protection One after my previous apartment was broken into but the cost was just too much for me. I never activated my equipment and called to cancel. I spoke to a manager who told me that as long as i pay the restocking fee and return the equipment the other fees would be waived outside of my monthly balance remaining. SO i returned the equipment and they harassed me daily for over a month after i told multiple people that i returned my equipment and i was not paying the outrageous amount they said i owed them To make a LONG story somewhat short- i gave them the tracking # and they tried to tell me i had to pay for the equipment because they never got it and couldnt locate it (not my problem bc it was delivered to their address via proof of delivery with USPS), so they waived that finally THEN said they dont waive fees so i made them pull the phone call and listen to what was told to me and what do ya know... I wasnt lying after all. So i got the fees waived and paid my balance that I agreed to pay! Its very annoying when you do your part and no one else holds up their end of the deal. I hate being called a liar and that what they did to me for months. STAY AWAY.

They are the worst company to deal with. Their service is not good, it just works half the time and they will not fix it. They also get you in a contract and will not let you out. The contract is for 3 years at $60 per month, when the 3 years is up they auto roll you in another 3 years. If you try to leave they charge you $1000. Stay clear of this company.

Dont contract with Protection One or ADT. They are crooks and dont pay. Still waiting to get paid from them for invoices from 2017.

Not a good company - called 2 times to cancel and 1st time the agent gave me the run around... called just now and it took 15 minutes to cancel service... why do they make it so hard? oh thats right, because I am no longer sending them $50+ per month ....
