TSS is a great place to find little gems. I bought my designer gown for 50% less off retail (I looked up the designer and cost) in April 2021. I invested in having the gown professionally cleaned, so there was a little bit of expense there but well worth it. I made my trial appointment for a time outside of regular business hours (Im not sure if it was a covid thing) and I highly recommend doing that, the shop is small. They offered great suggestions for a seamstress. The service, attentiveness and responsiveness of the staff is above and beyond.

The Sample Shoppe was a delight! I made the trek from Savannah and it was well worth it. Such an amazing way to get a great price on dresses that are the last of their kind. Asia helped me and was nothing but splendid! I highly recommend to any brides to be.

Wonderful shopping experience with amazing selection within any budget range. I fell in love with a size 10 dress that they fit to me with clips so I could get a great idea of what the dress looked like. Aja let me try on as many dresses as I wanted multiple times in one appointment so I could make the best decision. I bought my dress same day and they sent it off for cleaning for me and have alterations recommendations that got the dress down to my size 0 and you wouldn’t even know it. I loved the cute shop too. Would absolutely recommend The Sample Shop to any bride.

Terrible experience. Gowns were pretty but clerk was condescending, rude, and argumentative about every comment made by our group. Plus she had the heat cranked up so high that it was hard to breathe. She was obviously very put out that we were there. Go to the real Magnolia shop instead - fabulous experience there that more than made up for this horrible start to what is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable experience. Thumbs down. And the discounts weren’t that great anyway.

Without a doubt the most magical dress shopping experience a bride couple wish for or dream of. The Sample Shoppe had great variety and extremely high quality dresses but what made the experience so great was the staff! Aja, the Manager, was my dress consultant and made me feel like an absolute queen!! She helped me narrow down styles and designs, pulled dresses that were just what I had in mind, was very knowledgeable about the dresses, and helped in every way. My mom, sisters and I were blown away by the stellar customer service and the incredible experience. Would give more stars if I could!!!

Seriously could not say enough good things about my experience at the Sample Shoppe! We had a 9am appointment on a Sunday morning before the store opened and I loved that it was just me, my mom, and Emily who worked there. Emily was amazing to work with and knew all of the right questions to ask when helping me find my dress! I found the one within 35 minutes, it was the fourth one I tried on. Seriously everything I ever dreamed of in a dress. Its perfect. Also, the prices on these designer dresses are amazing. Would go here 100x over again! I had a wonderful experience at the Sample Shoppe. Emily was my consultant and she was very helpful! I tried on 5 dresses, had about 4 more pulled to try on but fell in love with the first dress and ended up trying that one back on to confirm my choice! Very nice experience, low pressure, super helpful, I recommend to any bride on a budget/time constraint, which I was both! I had a great shopping experience at The Sample Shoppe! I found my wedding dress in June 2021. I spent a lot of time researching bridal shops and while they had a glamorous experience, I loved how quaint and low pressure this shop is. Aja helped me decide between two dresses (one from another shop) with objective questions to make sure I was happy. Plus, my fiance and I are stoked that it came in right on budget! The racks make it very helpful when sticking to a price range. They also offer a program for cleaning dresses after purchase because they are samples. I highly recommend you checkout the Sample Shoppe for your wedding dress needs!

We had such a great experience here! I had a lot of anxiety and fear about what dress shopping would be like. The appointment was so calm and comfortable. I was able to find my dress in under an hour because of how well directed the appointment was, and the great advice that was given. I would highly recommend getting a dress here, we flew all the way from Tampa and it was well worth the trip.

Amazing experience shopping with the Sample Shoppe. Wonderful selection of dresses and sizes. The staff was patient with me as I tried on a number of different styles to figure out what type of look I was going for. The prices can’t be beat. I walked away with a dress that was originally $3k for $1,300 which included tax and cleaning. I used their recommended seamstress for alterations and also had a great and affordable experience. I love that they keep their website up-to-date on their inventory so you can go in and know what you can ask for if you don’t want to blindly shop. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience!The Sample Shoppe was perfect for my bridal gown selection experience. I love to dress well, but hate to shop! Emily “got” me and helped me select a dress that says what I want to say. Don’t be put off by the fact that these are floor samples. There is huge variety and every dress I tried was in excellent condition. No need to look any place else!

To start with: definitely make an appointment before you go so you get a whole room to yourself and a personal consultant to help you the whole way through! My group and i had a lovely experience here and I found my dream dress in under an hour my first time dress shopping! Wonderful dresses, great service, very patient and knowledgeable staff. My consultant was very accommodating of my budget and made sure to check the price of each dress with me before I tried it on. My entourage was treated with respect and their experience was just as good as mine.

This service was horrible! Asked to try on a veil answered given was not if she don’t “love” the dress. Well this is a sample shop! And the wedding is in 3 months!! So just because she don’t LOVE the dress at this juncture we may need to make a dress she likes into one she loves!! And that is the reason we went to a sample shop. And then asked for the price of the next dress- told its new to shop and not priced yet. Well can it get priced today? Yes if she loves it. Can you really love a sample? Terrible service. The red head was useless!!

Im having a relatively quick quick engagement and after calling a few other non sample shops and being told that I had to book appointments 2-3 months out and pay $100 to browse I knew I had to find an alternative. I walked into the sample shop with my mom, they explained the process, I tried on a few dresses, found my dress and veil within 45 mins of being there. Its out for cleaning and they have a list of suggested alterations vendors that you can meet at the store off hours- super easy process and Im very excited that this was such an easy part of all the planning!

I had a terrific experience with Aja and Emily at the Sample Shoppe. This was my second round of shopping for my wedding dress, so I knew roughly what style I wanted. That being said, they have a HUGE variety of styles for being as small and quaint as they are. Emily waited patiently while I perused the racks, plucking 5 or so dresses I liked. Since I came in alone, she took pictures of me for my family and had very helpful suggestions if I had questions. It was hard to decide, but ultimately, I found the PERFECT dress for me and my venue — a veil to match! Their prices are very affordable, especially considering original prices for their items. The girls made me feel right at home and the building itself is darling, located right outside Buckhead with its own little parking area. I was in and out relatively quickly too! Thank you, ladies!

My wedding dress shopping experience at the Sample Shoppe was amazing! Aja was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process! I made an appointment (which I highly recommend doing) so my family and I were able to get the entire shop to ourselves which made the experience even more special. The dress selection was amazing! This shop was the first appointment I had for the day and I ended up canceling my other two appointments because I found my dress here. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for their dream dress for a more affordable price. It was the best experience I could ask for!

Make an appointment and find your dress! I had the best experience on Mothers Day with my momma and Aja, shop manager and my consultant. The first dress I put on fit like a glove, and the appointment only got better from there! I found my dream dress in under an hour. I spent ~3 hours at other bridal boutiques and found dresses that were okay but nothing like the gems I found at The Sample Shoppe. Aja pulled my gown from the back when she saw the styles I was loving, and the rest is history. She was also super helpful in estimating what alterations would cost, what was possible/impossible, and what to expect when the dresses were done. She also outfitted me with lovely accessories to help me envision the big day. I highly recommend the Sample Shoppe to any bride! Adorable place with great gowns!

The Sample Shoppe is an excellent place to go dress shopping! You might think this little boutique couldnt have much to offer but think again!I had been concerned about finding the dress I wanted without paying a fortune. Well I ended up with a silk, designer dress that was a 2015 so is was majorly reduced in price. The woman who works there, Asia, has been absolutely a pleasure to work with throughout this whole process. You can really tell she loves her job and is great at what she does!

There are some gems in this shop! You will not be disappointed by the selection, quality, prices, or the superb advice from these ladies, especially Asia. I went to several other shops around Atlanta and felt rushed, shocked by the price tag, and like I was just a number. Asia listened, pulled several dresses, and after the second dress I said yes! She also recommended a great seamstress, cleaner and preservation company, and I felt like a model on my wedding day! Thank you!

I had such a wonderful experience buying my dress here! Aja was very knowledgeable on the dresses and very honest about what alterations and modifications were reasonable to make. The dresses need to be cleaned, but they take care of this for an extra fee and also recommend a seamstress. I found the dress I wanted on their Instagram, so it was helpful to get a peak at their inventory before coming it. The store also is taking appropriate precautions with distancing and limiting people in the store.

We stopped by here between our bridal appointments and ended up walking out with my dress an hour later! We were so pleasantly surprised from the wide selection to the actual shopping experience. There were so many beautiful quality dresses for every budget - was so tempted to get another just because.Aja was super patient and knowledgable; even though several parties walked in after us, we never felt rushed during our visit and had Ajas complete attention. She pulled several dresses based on attributes I liked (including THE dress), offered pointers on what alterations are possible, didnt try to sway any way - and made the process so much easier and enjoyable.Even though this place is off-the-rack, the experience is just like shopping at a cute bridal boutique with 1:1 service - definitely recommend to any bride to stop by!

I had a wonderful experience at the Sample Shoppe. I have been calling other bridal dress shops a few days before, and I had to complete a ton of paperwork just to get an appointment to go into the stores. I understand that would help streamline dress options, but that takes more time and sometimes I dont know what my style is or what I want and just wanted to try a few dresses on to see what l like. I was getting frustrated with all the prep work just to get into a store and my friend walked by the sample shoppe on Saturday and asked if they had any time for me to shop for a wedding dress and they did have an opening on that same day. So I rushed over and went in with a mask on and was ready. We had a few minutes to talk to explain my vision and my budget under 1,000 dollars. They had rules of no touching the dresses other than the bride and to have a face mask on which I appreciate as I am a frontline worker and really appreciate how clean and safe I felt with trying on the dresses. I fell in love with the first dress that I tried on. It was an epic moment with tears of joy in the room. I could not have asked for a better experience and I am thankful that the Sample shoppe was open, safe and the workers were nothing but pleasant and helpful with helping me find the dress of my dreams!

I found my wedding dress here and I couldn’t be happier!!! Aja was a fantastic help and encouraged trying on as many dresses as possible. She knows what she’s doing because she picked out the dress I ended up buying. I called the Magnolia Shoppe prior to the visit and was told that it was a walk-in shop without making appointments. After making a long trip to the shop with limited time, I was told that I had to book an appointment because they only had two rooms. I was not even allowed to browse. That is very poor service! If appointments are necessary, then there should be a notice. Also I find it VERY interesting that all of the low ratings for this shoppe have been written by Black brides. Hmm....

Aja made my day fun, easy and emotionally fulfilling! I did not expect to find a dress at the only bridal store visited. I always when brides say they had their bridal moment with tears that that was all for TV! But it’s real! Aja helped me to find exactly what I wanted! Great prices and nice selection ...do not let the size of the store fool you! Whatever you think you want they have... Thanks again

I had such a WONDERFUL experience at the Sample Shoppe this past Friday. Aja was my associate-I think she is also the manager. She was amazing and so attentive. Even with being a walk in, Aja was able to provide me with what felt like one on one attention-even if she was juggling one other bride. In the end, I did purchase my wedding dress from the Sample Shoppe and I could not be happier. The selection of gowns was wonderful and the prices had a great range. There was even a room with only $800 under priced gowns. If you are looking to save some money and enjoy quality customer service this is the place.

Let’s just say, this was my very first wedding dress shopping experience and it didn’t go well AT ALL. On October 10th, my co-workers and I went here because we fell in love with the dresses that were on their website. And because my wedding is in May 2021, we decided to go together because my other co-worker is getting married in August 2021.Once we walked in, the bridal store attendant asked who was the bride and what size I normally wear. I told her I normally wear a 14 but because I’m losing weight due to working out, I told her I wasn’t sure what size I was going to be. She told me that my size would be plus-size in wedding dress sizes and that they don’t carry it in the store, but I could still look around.I told her I didn’t want a dress over $800 and she directed us to the left side of the store that had dresses under $1,000.Once we got into the room, the attendant had a nasty attitude and kept asking my co-workers if only the bride touched the dresses. The issue I had with this is that there were two brides who were in the store, but she only spoke to one of them. I was looking at a dress with tulle on it, and she came over and said it again, and put the dress that I was looking at back with an attitude as if she was mad that I touched it. Mind you, I’m the bride so I’m “allowed” to touch the dresses.My co-workers and I chose a dress and we decided for me to try it on. Once again, the attendant came to us and asked if the bride only touched the dresses, but my co-worker was simply trying to help me try it on because the attendant wasn’t of any help. She saw that my co-worker was helping me, and got upset because “only the bride can touch the dresses.” My co-worker told her that I needed help, and the attended replies, “Well, if she needed help, she could have asked me to assist her.”Well, how could I? She never offered any help to us, and I feel that it was because we were black. She seemed aggravated as soon as we walked in the door.My other co-worker (not a bride) asked the attendant for her name and who her manager was, and she barely wanted to give us any information. I was so frustrated with the entire experience that I threw my clothes on and rushed out of the bridal shop.What the bridal attendant DIDN’T know was that myself and the other bride lost our fathers earlier this year. She also didn’t know that we were ready to purchase a dress for BOTH of us. And she also didn’t know that we’re frontline workers for Emory, so being able to relieve ourselves from work and have a great shopping experience would have benefited us, but it didn’t.In short, I will never come back here and I won’t recommend anyone that I know to shop here either. That was horrible service, uncalled for, and the bridal attendant lost out on two sales that day.

I bought my wedding dress here and I was so pleased with the service! The woman who worked with us was so nice and helpful and very knowledgable about all the dresses. The dresses are of course the try on dresses and most have some issues and need cleaning/repairs. However my dress was a $4000 dress that I got for $800 so bring on those repairs! I could not believe the huge and wonderful selection of dresses they have! Also they have accessories if you need anything else for your day! I plan to go back and look at these before the wedding.Since most of the dresses need to be cleaned, they have a company that does this and they will ship it off for you. My dress is currently getting cleaned. I wanted to know the status of it and so I emailed the Sample Shoppe and they got back to me the same day with the tracking info! I was really surprised and so pleased! Theyve been nothing but helpful. If you are a bride in the area, definitely go here and see what they have! You may be pleasantly surprised like me!!!

I had an amazing wedding dress shopping experience here with Aja! They have a great selection of well-priced dresses by designers I had been eyeing. Aja was incredibly helpful, giving me ideas I hadnt even considered and truly listening to my thoughts on each dress. I found my dream gown here, under budget, and I couldnt be more pleased with the overall experience! I would highly recommend this shop and Aja to all.

I highly recommend the Sample Shoppe!  Looking for a wedding dress had been challenging and frustrating, so I was not expecting to find my dress when I visited the Shoppe.  I sat down with Aja, showed her some photos, described what I was looking for and she pulled several gowns for me to try on.  She totally nailed my style and found several great choices including one winner that was under budget!  Ajas help and advice was invaluable.The Shoppe is doing a great job with COVID safety protocols which means limited occupancy.  Call ahead to check availability and go on a week day if at all possible.Also remember this is a sample shop--there is only one of each dress and they cannot take holds, so if you fall in love be prepared to buy.  Prices are incredible and all dresses I tried were in excellent condition--overall a 10/10 experience!  Thanks Aja!

I got my wedding dress from the Sample Shoppe and it is gorgeous! It’s a small boutique so I didn’t originally expect to find anything but as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one and my party agreed. All that to say, I love my dress. What I did not love was the service my group and I received as Black women. When we entered the boutique, my sister/MOH asked Aja if she (my sister) could help look through the dresses with me. She was told that only the bride was allowed to look through the gowns because they wanted to minimize the number of people touching them. We’re in a pandemic so that was understandable. A few minutes later while I’m trying on my dress, a white/white-passing family walks in and everyone in their party starts looking through the gowns together. Aja sees this and says nothing. At this point, we’re confused because this contradicted the instructions she had given us minutes prior. At that point, I was annoyed but I had already tried on my gown and fell in love and I wasn’t going to let Aja get in the way of me and my perfect dress. So I bought it and went on my merry way.And then when I returned to get the dress after it was cleaned, she was visibly impatient as if I were a burden to her. She rushed me through reading my contract/receipt and then pretty much walked away into a back room without saying anything. I don’t know Aja personally or the family that came in while my group was there but I do know she treated them differently than she treated me and my Black family. Maybe she cares more about making the sale than equality and helping all brides for their big day. Either way, I’m glad that I have my dress and I no longer have to interact with her.
