EDIT: Unfortunately I have to edit this down after driving the car for a few days and at highway speeds. My receipt states that the tire pressures were tested and an alignment was done, but unfortunately neither was true. After a trip on the highway, it was very obvious that at any sort of speed my car would lose all rear grip where the new tires were installed. At highway speeds (and only highway speeds, no speeding or excessive speeds), constant corrections of the steering wheel were necessary just to hold the lane. After inspection, the rear tires were filled to 150% of the required air pressure. I double checked the receipt and took the car to another shop to double check the work done since the receipt stated that air pressures were checked, and my dashboard showed a low tire warning. The other shop found the rear tires at 150% of the recommended psi, the front tires were both low by 5-6 psi, the front tires were rotated but given that they are summer performance tires, they were installed backwards, and no alignment was done and the alignment was way off. Unfortunately I had to have the other shop take care of these issues to get my car back in driving shape. Erica and the folks working in customer service at Mavis are awesome, but unfortunately the people doing the actual work leave a lot to be desired and screwed up several very basic jobs. Given the importance of tires and brakes, I dont think I can recommend Mavis as the actual work they do is pretty poor in my limited experience, despite great customer service and communication.ORIGINAL: Great place to work with. They helped me out in a pinch when a tire blew on the highway, helped me find replacement tires that were comparable since so many models are tough to find with COVID, and did really great work. Cant recommend them enough!

Oh my gosh! John Madden is the greatest! He took charge and was able to get my tire for my car. My tire was schedule to arrive at the Northeast Expressway from another location. However, it never arrived at the schedule time at his store. Since it was the upcoming July 4 holiday, Mr. Madden checked the inventory at the store to ensure if they had the correct tire for my car. Sure enough there was only 1 tire for my car. I am blessed to have someone who is dedicated and professional in getting the job done. Great employee. Thank you Mr. Madden

Great Service. Ravati and Erica were great. Was traveling through Atlanta when I found that I needed a new front tire quickly. First went to a membership club who supposedly offered energy tire repair but could only handle emergencies with a prescheduled appointment. A Customer in the store recommended Mavis. So glad they did. Was able to get me in and back on the road quickly.

I needed a punctured tire repaired and after calling half a dozen places who were too busy to accommodate me, I got a next-day appointment at Mavis Tires & Brakes on Northeast Expressway in Atlanta. Upon arrival on July 9, Ravati at the front desk had no record of my appointment but signed me in nonetheless. Service was efficient and professional and my car was ready to go in just over an hour. I was impressed with how well Ravati handled multiple tasks while making each customer feel important. She proved herself to be a great asset to the company. Ill be back!

Very disappointing experience. Made online appointment three days in advance. Got call morning of appointment asking me to confirm 10am appointment. Arrived at 9:45am, pricing and installation schedule confirmed. At 12:30am, tech asked for wheel lock, which was in trunk wheel lock holder with jack. At 1pm, after tires removed, manager explains that they don’t have the tires to fit the car. Old tires have to be reinstalled to send me to another location where tires allegedly available.Manager very apologetic, but this is dismal customer service.UPDATE: sent to Dekalb Tire in Buckhead — also owned by Mavis — for install. Honored original price quote only after producing online print out. Manager made made clear he was doing ME a favor by “working me in.” Made mistake of not driving freeway on way home. Next day, heavy vibration on freeway at 65mph as we headed out of town for two weeks. Turns out wheels not properly balanced. Had to make stop at independent tire store in NC to get rebalanced. Balancing Tech said it appears old weights had been left inside alloy wheels since they were so badly out.Also, attempted to reach number listed in response below, but they never called back after leaving message.This firm has a huge percentage of the market in Atlanta under different brand names. Buyer beware.

Horrible experience. I called ahead and came to get a tire patched and they told me I could drop off my car and it would be 2 hours. After 3 hours I called back and was rudely greeted by Erika. She put me on hold countless times and after 30 minutes I got 3 different answers. My car was fixed, then was told I had called the wrong shop, then was told I needed a new tire! I came to get my car and it was apparent they hadn’t moved it or looked at it. Will never bring my vehicle here ever again!

They dont know how to drive the manual transmission. They destroyed the clutch in my Audi and then said it wasnt them. It drove in the shop just fine, then the burnt up the clutch trying to get it out. They never paid for the new clutch, not ever for a customer of 20 years.

When I caught a flat tire, she was so helpful in making sure the other location honored my tire insurance, explained the issues with my account, and served as a liaison when communicating with customer service. Tanicia (sorry if I misspelled her name) is so diligent and committed to quality service and customer service. Even on her off day, she made the time to follow up on my experience at her location, and then called two weeks later to make sure I had a good experience when I was serviced at another location.She has a great reputation within the company. Went for a tire alignment. entire staff was super friendly and professional. The weight time for the service was less than I expected. I had extra work done on the spot and it still didnt take too long. There was miscommunication about the additional service I wanted that could have been a huge inconvenience for all parties but Ishmael and the other gentleman (I dont remember his name, curly hair and a beard) were SUPER professional and made it work. Erica was my primary customer service representative and she was amazing from the start. She and Teneda were very pleasant, courteous, informative, and kept me entertained while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced. It seemed as if I was barely there before my vehicle was sitting out front, waiting for me to close out my transaction. I went in thinking it was one thing but the service technician discovered it was something else. I am grateful for purchasing the roadside assistance warranty because this is the second time it saved me from coming out of pocket for new tires. I would definitely recommend purchasing this warranty and servicing your vehicle at this location.

This location in particular has twice help me the first time without an appointment and in the las minute. They was able to replace my busted tire very quick. And today after I call four different NTB locations to check for availability of a tire for my car, only at this location I was able to find the right help with the right attitude. Tanisha, She went above and beyond offering me to get the tire that I need it the same day. Ordered around 10:00am and she have it at the store by 3:00 pm. I am very grateful that I found this person in this location. She really do an absolutely great job treating the customers right, understanding the sense of urgency of the particular situation. I called to check the status of my repairs and was told they were test driving because they heard a humming noise and were trying to make sure everything was fine. I mention this because when I picked up my car, I drove off to the INSTANT sound of my brakes making a loud grinding noise. It was loud enough to make people turn on the street. So I believe this was the sound they heard while test driving?! When I went back I told Erica who got a guy to come up and everybody was shocked there was a noise... so the guy drove the car then he made me drive while he ran next to it. His conclusion was there was a piece that needed to be ‘broken in’ and the noise would go away. I then drove into my neighborhood and my trunk dropped hitting the speed bumps as I went over them. This had NOT happened before. In fact they advised ME my suspension needed work. I had no idea anything was wrong. On the highway I hit a bump and the car was SWINGING side to side and bouncing and I was scared! My husband took the car back himself and the manager Tenecia confirmed the brakes had a piece which was bent causing the loud obnoxious noise and the suspension was missing bump stoppers. We left the car for them to repair but from there we had to be the ones to follow up. It took a few weeks. When addressing the length of time it took, Tenecia‘s response was we could have continued to drive the car in its condition while we waited for them to get the parts. While no one was ever rude, I found this response to be irresponsible and an attempt to pass the burden onto our shoulders. “bump stoppers will stop the suspension travel before the shock bottoms out, preventing damage to the shock.” To me this sounds as though continuing to drive in the streets of Atlanta missing these pieces for the amount of time it took them to get the parts could have potentially caused more damage. Finally, Tenecia stated after speaking with Ishmael we would not be getting a refund or discount for our inconvenience of any kind on the $1300 original cost because it cost them an extra $600 to obtain the correct parts to repair their own work.

I’ve come to this location for about 4 years. Every visit they are very thoughtful, helpful, courteous, and fun.They fix simple things without a huge (or sometimes) any fee because they focus on service and excellence and community. They would rather have a loyal customer (me) than play games and charge for every little thing.I’ve had 3 tires plugged, including my wife’s car that has the original tires on it. They wouldn’t accept payment because I’m a regular customer.Balance and rotation included with tire purchase.They took care of my brakes and are quick and efficient. They have a large waiting area where I can work while I wait.Say hi to Chris & Erica while you are there.It’s refreshing to find a place in the city that I can trust.

Long story. Tl;Dr: The point of tire services is that you pay money to save yourself time, or because you dont have the knowledge or equipment. This place has the equipment and that seems to be it.Took my Jeep in for an alignment before heading to the Grand Canyon. I got the 1yr alignment since I was going to need alignment/rotation after my trip (~5k mi trip). Headed to Alabama that night my tire almost fell off from them over torqueing my lugs. 2 studs were left. Luckily I have wheel spacers on so I was able to take those off and finish that leg of the journey (had street tires on at the time for the trip, so spacers werent needed right then). After calling the next day and explaining what happened, the store manager said to save receipts and theyd make it right. That didnt really help my mood after being on the side of the road at 1am and having to get some people to bring me tools, but at least I wouldnt eat all of the costs.Fast forward. Back from the grand canyon and go to bring receipts and get the alignment checked and tires balanced and rotated. I also informed the manager of some lug nuts that were starting to strip from the over torqueing and my trying to loosen them, which he wrote a note on the work order for the tech.I get the car back 6 hours later and when Im home I take a closer look. The tires have not been rotated (I had them marked since I swapped between street and mud on trip), and my lug nuts that I asked to have paid special attention to were not replaced. Manager on the phone said they would make it right and throw in a free oil change (does not come close to making it right, but whatever).I take the car back AGAIN. 2 hours to rotate the tires and swap a few lug nuts. Free oil change was not mentioned, but honestly have no faith in their mechanics abilities anyway.

I went into this mavis location in January for service I spent 985.00 that day in the store for four new roters new front and back brakes oil change and a couple other things car has been driving funny sence then the day I found out my mom was dyeing of cancer had to rush to Chicago just recently I went to another mavis about my brake warranty and come to find out my roters was never replaced no oil job at all I was lied to and cheated out my money I called corporate store and no help the area manager name ismel was no help no return phone calls just basically blew the situation off and his own employees says a lot of things about him I had steady putting out money behind this problem as a single parent of a disabled child I don’t have money like that to just be waisting I will be filing a lawsuit and better business bureau nobody offered any compensation at all but this will not be the last of this I promise lawyers are waiting to jump on this

I had a flat on my way to visit my aunt and ended up on Cheshire bridge road known for seedy establishments and crime. I called my insurance company and they came to change out my spare. I had to travel to ne expressway to that store because the one at 2360 Chesterbridge was being cleaned for COVID-19. I was quoted 127 out the door but after shop fees and taxes it came to 144.88.They should have told me the right amount but cause there other tire places I could have gone too.I usually go to Discount tire but a emergency like this I had to decide via the internet.

After Mavis bought out all the Kauffman Tire shops, the customer service took a nosedive, so when I needed work done to my Tahoe, I went to NTB. (The joke was on me, of course, since Mavis had already decided to buy NTB by that time, too. I didn’t know that at the time.)The staff and mechanics were friendly, and they seem to know a lot about what they are doing. I told them that my brakes were starting to squeal a little bit and that there was the pulsing when braking that usually indicates a need for new rotors. Sure enough, I ended up needing new brakes, rotors, alignment, and tire pressure monitor sensors. I paid well over $1,200 to get all of that done.After I got all that work done, I noticed immediately that my brakes were still squealing like before, and the rotor pulsing hadn’t stopped, either. I took the Tahoe back to the shop, and they drove it around the block. The mechanic said that he didn’t notice any squealing or pulsing on the brakes. They said it was probably just breaking in the new equipment and I shouldn’t worry about it.Then my Tahoe’s information screen told me there was a problem with one of my tire pressure monitor sensors. I took it back to NTB and noticed at that point that there was a Mavis sign on the wall. The staff confirmed that they were now owned by Mavis.After looking at my Tahoe, they said that I needed a new tire pressure sensor and it would cost me almost $100. I asked whether it was still under warranty from when they replaced it just a few months before, and they said they had never replaced it. They clarified that they had replaced the “tire pressure monitor KIT,” which apparently doesn’t actually include the sensor itself for some reason. If this makes sense to you, you might be a shady salesman. I asked them if there was a way to reset the sensor to see if it would start working again, they did that, and it started working again. Apparently I did NOT need a new sensor; they just wanted to sell me a new one.Even now, over a year later, my brakes are still squeaking after they replaced the shoes. My rotors are still pulsing after they said they replaced them (but probably didn’t). And my tire pressure sensor works intermittently after they charged me for replacing it and then admitted that they didn’t.Mavis Tire has shown me that they do not value honesty in their employees or work, and they do not value their customers. Fortunately, there are still some auto shops around that are locally owned and not under the thumb of Mavis. I’ll go to those from now on. Please join me in supporting shops like Anthem Automotive on Piedmont Rd.

This place use to be great I have been going there for years sense it was NTW, now it is the pits,Example Last 3 visits.#3 - Changed my oil, I checked it the next day before a family road trip and it was a quart low!#2 - Had two nails in one tire I showed them both and marked them bothwith white chalk.They repaired one and put the tire back on, I picked the car up the next day it started going flat again it was then I saw what they had done.#1 -Called for a price on 4 new tires. Went down had them installed andthey would not honor the price.I had the persons name I talked to and offered to call them again they said that was the corporate office and they did not honor their prices!After a half hour of arguing they offered me $10 off! It was suppose to be $40.If I didnt still have anything under warranty I would never go back there.

Arrived Monday morning to a relatively unfriendly manager named Pete and dropped off my car with the expectation to pick it up in the evening. Around 6PM received a call saying that they hadnt had a chance to look at my car because they were understaffed, but were going to try and get it done so I could pick it up before they close at 8PM. Received a second call around 7PM saying that when they finally looked at the car it looked like both tires in the front needed to be replaced because of unusual tread wear (tires were 10k miles on 40k mile tread life). When asked if they checked the alignment, they said they hadnt had time. The manager said he would look in to it and I was told they would call me back in the morning with a quote to replace the tires. By early afternoon had yet to receive a call. When I called they admitted that they had yet to look at my car because they were busy, said they would do so immediately, and would call me back by 2PM. By 3PM I had yet to receive a call so I called back and they still had yet to do anything about looking in to replacing the tires or checking the alignment. When I finally received a call back at 3:30PM, they realized they dont even have the correct replacement tires in stock (it took over 36 hours from dropping off the car to get to this point). After a discussion, agreed to do their Buy 2 Get 2 since it was almost the same price as replacing the two tires. Agreed to give them until the following day to make sure the tires were correctly installed and asked them to save the back two tires which were still in good condition. Arrived the following evening to pick up my car. No one was at the desk and had to call the store to get someone to realize they had a customer in the front. I asked for the printout from the alignment, but the technician said the printer on their alignment machine hadnt been working for months. When I went out to my car after paying, I found one of the tires that I asked to keep just sitting on the front seat of my car. Manager had absolutely no good explanation since he was able to place both tires in my trunk. Absolutely a terrible experience with terrible customer service over a 3 day period.

Great experience . Everyone was very friendly and I received wonderful service from Tanesha and the manager Nicoli. My tire blew and they fixed it quickly and kept in constant communication . I live 30 miles away but I would drive to this location . Very very friendly great experience . I would highly recommend give 5 stars

They lied about the services done on my car. I asked during check out if they put air in my tires and he said yes and they top off all fluids. After i left, my tire light was on and a warning for low fluid popped up. I called and was told to come back. There was also no oil change mileage sticker in my car. I went back as they were working on my car and it turns out not only did they not fill fluids, but they did not put air in my tires. I asked who worked on my car, they refused to give me a name and said that the person who completed the work was on lunch break. At this point I do not trust that an oil change was completed on my car.

This place is a joke. I came with 4 brand new tires and rims with 1 to be mounted. After they finish I have 2 wheels that have been damage with lack of care.Before I left I addressed this issue and was told that they would have someone fix them and they will cover the cost. Not long after I get home they are now refusing to fix the rims and default responsibility. Untrustworthy Establishment! They all need to be fired and replaced with better employees.

Left car there for new tires, the called about 1 1/2 hrs later offering me new shocks. I declined, then didnt hear anything for another 2hrs. I noticed it was 20 mins until they closed so I decided to call to figure out what was happening. No answer. I went back to the shop right before they closed to find out that they were out of wheel weights and it wouldnt be ready until the morning.Irritated that they didnt call me to let me know that well before I drove all the way there expecting to have my car back by the end of the day. I decided to have them out the wheels on without the weights so I could leave. Ill take it to a different location to get it finished.This is the longest I have ever waited to get new tires. Ill go to a different location next time. I have had great experiences at NTB before, this time was a disappointment.
