New York style deli. Pretty good selection and very friendly staff. Tried the bagel and lox and it was great. Didnt have to wait much to get a seat but it can look pretty crowded. Give it a try and I think youll be pleased.
This review is solely for receiving an incorrect online order. I’m not sure if it is the ChowNow app or an employee mistake but I was not given what I paid for. I would recommend in the future to double check the order before bagging it for the customer.
Great food. This is the perfect thing to order for a brunch with family or friends. The food is always in top quality—and the service is exceptional. There are no bagels in Atlanta like in New York, but this is the next best thing. My favorite part is definitely the tuna—its the best in town. The only bad part, is that the lines are pretty long.Food Quality: 5/5Service Quality: 4/5
Amazing food and wonderful service! We had the California Reuben with onion rings, the French Dip with (steak) fries, and a biscuit with gravy, and all were hot and delicious! We even took a dozen bagels and some cream cheese to go, and the bagels were perfectly soft and all were very flavorful! And the service was so wonderful! The staff was so kind and friendly and helpful...we had the best time!
Had breakfast this morning and management misrepresented the cost of omelets and when asked to justify the overcharge they said it was a menu issue. The server knew of the issue but did not alert us to true price until we received the bill. Their position was cheese omelets only had cheese if you paid a hidden up charge. While this appears to be a small issue it represents a far larger issue of trust. If they knowingly misrepresent prices, they will do so on quality of ingredients.
Gluten free California Reuben reminds me of the Reubens I used to get in Detroit at Star Deli.
This is 1 out of the 3 Goldbergs in Atlanta. This is my first time at this location and it has been the best one out of the 3 I have been to. I went there to have a late lunch. The place wasn’t that busy at the time and the servers said I could sit any where. Even though I technically had one server but all the severs came over to check on me and I really appreciated that.
Very good food, fast service.Plenty of coffee refills!
Great breakfast spot. Super friendly staff behind the counter. They are normally busy so expect a little wait on the weekends. Food is always fresh and tasty. Bagels are awesome.
Food is great, service is fine, prices are WAY overpriced.
Good bagels and good service.
This one star review is solely for my pick up experience, because I love their food, Ill just never order pick up again from them. I dont know if its the Chow Now app the restaurant uses or a lack of attention to detail but I just picked up an order that was ridiculously overpriced for what I received. They were sold out of the soda I ordered and only included one matzo ball in their soup. And for all this I paid $13. Its not that I dont want to support neighborhood institutions, but not when Im being ripped off.
The bagels are pretty good and the service is pretty decent.
I had the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel for breakfast. It came out crazy fast and it was so good! I sat at a booth and had a relaxing morning with great coffee.
Great egg salad and fantastic service
Price gouging - Im done! Have been coming here for years and tried just about everything on the menu. Somehow this week, the same bagel sandwich Ive ordered numerous times is almost twice the price🤔. How can they want to charge me $15 for a $7.95 breakfast sandwich and try to convince me that has always been the pricing model. I can deal with small increases in pricing, I have been dealing with every curbside order missing at least one item...but I draw the line at price gouging 😤 They lost a long-time customer... family of five plus the people we all know....and in hindsight, I feel they may have been messing up curbside orders intentionally just to save money. Especially, when I see all these other reviewers with the same issue of items missing. Abhorrible!
We came through town after spending some time with family and got a late breakfast to eat on the patio. The food (especially the bagels) were delicious and everyone was attentive and kind. All employees were wearing their masks and the restaurant was set up appropriately for Coronavirus safety.
Delicious chicken pot pie! Sadly, no longer served for dine-in. I think you can still buy it frozen to take home. Id still come back to pick up the excellent hamantashen cookies - I dont know where else you can buy hamantashen in town! The babka is too sticky and fudgy for my taste, would not recommend. (these are in the separate bakery section)This place is very popular for weekend brunch, so its better to come early or late to avoid waiting in line. The warm sandwiches are generally all good, and the fried onion ring side is awesome. But I would not recommend the extremely underwhelming eggs benedict or french toast. The service is consistently good too.
I am new to Goldbergs and have fallen in love. Not only is the food amazing, but the customer service is stellar. I feel at home every time I walk in the door. And Howard is gracious and welcoming. The food is homemade, healthy, and satisfying. The perfect place to go to complete or start your day. A must try...the jerky (savory and yummy). Its AMAZING. Thank you Goldbergs.
This is the best Goldbergs. Great food.
I hate writing a negative review of a longtime favorite breakfast restaurant of ours especially during the time of Covid, but...I have tried to reach out to the restaurant through their website contact page and by phone without success. We placed an online to go order for curbside pickup last Sunday for 3 people. The first issue was that there was no way to get curbside service when we got there because their phone number had a full mailbox and did not answer. I walked in and waited for my order along with many others (exactly what I was trying to avoid). Once I finally got our order home and checked it we found an incomplete and incorrect order in so many ways (sides left out, paid extra charge for bagel on a sandwich we didnt receive, omelet cooked with ingredients we specifically said we wanted left out, etc. ). The woman who handed me our order commented that they only have 1 phone line when I mentioned the phone issue. Why would an established restaurant that depends on phone orders and say they offer curbside only have 1 phone line? When I called the restaurant today to share my experience privately the phone is still not being answered and has a full mailbox! My family has enjoyed Goldbergs for decades but we will not be coming back anytime soon. Terrible customer service and experience.
Even with the incredible number of people here on a Sunday morning, service was excellent. I always love to come here when Im in town. They really treat you like you are an old friend. And as though that wasnt reason enough to pop in, the food is wonderful too.Dont miss this place if you are in Atlanta.
This was my 1st time eating at Goldbergs I have to say I was impressed by the food, I had the burger and fries and it was delicious. You owe it to yourself to try this great establishment.
Update, Tried you again, and AGAIN, my order was incomplete. That’s it, 3 strikes and I’m done. Flying Biscuit, J Christopher’s, Egg Harbour thank you for getting my orders correct!!!I use to love dining in here. However, the last two to-go orders I placed have been very sloppy and missing items. Please double check the tickets and put a lil more care into your packaging.
I bought a coffee and a sandwich and sat down on the inside table area. A waiter came to me and told me I had to move because it’s for dine in customers only. I bought their food items at the counter so why am I being told to sit somewhere else!!? I will never purchase anything from here ever again!!
Great bagels and premade foods. Bake goods. They have lots of good foods. You wont be sorry
Love the breakfast bowl here. Consists of creamy grits, about 1/4 cup each of shredded cheese, bacon, 1 or 2 scrambled eggs, a cut-up biscuit, and two potato pancakes. Delicious and filling. Service was fast and efficient. The price is right on this dish. My only complaint is servers tend to be too eager to bring the check, but thats just a niggling item.
Kelsey, Carrie & Ms Anne Was amazing!!! everything was good !!!
Always good.
Got a Nova bagel. The price was pretty good, the bagel was awesome with generous portions of the salmon. I did come in the morning, so not sure how busy otherwise, but the place was packed. Definitely coming again.
Looked forward to coming back to Goldbergs. I live in Savannah and had to evacuate yesterday. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on a Kaiser roll. The meat was ice cold not even warmed. The roll fell apart while eating it. Sides were very good. Both the coleslaw and potato salad were very tasty and definitely house made. To top it off I killed two ants crawling across the table top.On my next visit to Atlanta hopefully under better circumstances, I will give them another try.
I love having breakfast at Goldbergs. The service is always top notch. Food quality is consistently good. Lunch is where a little more of the New York style deli emerges featuring locally cooked and freshly sliced meats in generously portioned sandwiches. A favorite of family and out-of-town visitors.
Atlantas best all around deli. Not NY or Kenny and Ziggys in Houston, but does the trick. Bagels are excellent. Service is usually very good and prompt.
I placed an order for delivery to my mom for mothers day and they put the bill on the package. Just be clear to them IF its a gift FYI. Food was good but just feedback for future.
I have enjoyed going to this location and others for a few years. The last few times visiting this location did not meet or exceed expectations. I absolutely love their bagels! Today, I ordered bagels but the toaster wasn’t working. Seemed odd to me. The cashier person was not friendly or helpful when checking out. Asked for cups and silverware and she just pointed. She also didn’t alert me when the prep people brought up my food in the to go bag. I had to ask if the bag sitting there was mine. Usually the staff has been so friendly in the past!
A decent sandwich place. They do have gluten free offerings for those looking. A little on the expensive side for what it is but not bad.
The bagels and the food in general is delicious! Unfortunately, the waiting is a bit long. Its a popular place for a good reason! The pick up/take out option is a good solution and fast. Me and my crew loved our bagle sandwiches. Hopefully, well get to sit down and eat next time😊
Super long wait, great coffee
Amazing curbside pickup- super organized, comes right to your car, totally contactless. Great food
Such an amazing place. Food is so good, like way better than I expected. My friend from NY took me there, reminds him of being back home. Great, friendly staff, and people there too. Clean, fresh food, lots of choices, would give more than 5 stars if I could!
I am all about some Goldberg’s. It has it all. I just like the Toco Hills location better. But if you want some amazing breads, some quality Nova Lox, and some full-bodied and stimulating coffee, you won’t be let down.
Great chicken biscuit and home fries.Came back 4 months later, awesome jalapeno bagel and corned beef hash.
Best Reuben Ive ever had. Manager helped me out the first time I came in and recommended it for my next visit.
Great deli, delicious food. Like voting in Chicago, eat here early and often!
The original crew was way better and so was when the place was smaller. Ordered a Nova bagel for my mom and only two slices of Nova was put in for a $8.00 bagel. She was not happy at all. The place has lost its charm it once had and there are others that agree with me.
Terrific little place for a good breakfast.
Always good. Great breakfast. Great sandwiches. Great service. Good people.
Delicious! Their bagels are amazing, soup is hot and flavorful, great service. Love this place!
This is a great place at anytime of the day. You can often find the owner there who is a very nice guy loves to stop by and chat for a second with you. Staff is great restaurant is very clean I recommend to anybody
This is much more than a bagel shop. Goldbergs is an Atlanta institution and they take great pride in serving what you want in the way you want it. The service staff is the best in town at this price point and they have always found a way to accommodate every customer that I have seen... Even the difficult ones. They have a large menu with a full breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches and baked goods are fantastic. Give them a try andbi think most will be pleased.
Delicious! We stopped in for the first time and tried the nova lox bagel and a Reuben along with a few other sides and all were delicious. Sandwiches are stacked really high (even the regular not double stacked) so it was more than filling. Will be back soon. Busy place but family-friendly and easy to dine in or take out.
Goldbergs is a very good Jewish deli with menu selections that appeal to most tastes. Service is quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Most food is made from scratch on site. It is family friendly and you frequently see three generations of family eating together. It is popular enough that you can expect a short wait at peak times. If you dont see quite what you want on tje menu talk to your server and mostly likely you can get exactly what you want. Its a good enough experience that I have been eating there over fifteen years.
Im from Boston in this place was just outstanding. Im a fresh pastrami to all the items that reminded me of back home that you definitely cannot find anywhere in Georgia. Will definitely be going there again
The best bagels I have ever had! Friendly service and wonderful baked goods in an interesting and family like atmosphere!
Best Deli Atlanta has. However thats not saying a ton. The food is good but not great. However there baked goods are wonderful. Their Challah is consistently good and for passover they make one covered in icing that is simply the best! The line to get in can take awhile on the weekend so beware.
Fresh bagels very polite staff especially the cashiers at the front!!
Hi I’m 10 years old I came to the when I stepped in the door had a seat with my mom we ordered waited 20 minutes for the food it did not come. When we left the lady that took my order argued with my mom so we left and never coming back again.worst service ever.
This is a somewhat regular breakfast meeting spot for me. Theyre going for and seem to achieve an authentic New York deli vibe with their food.Ive had lunch here once or twice but am more familiar with their breakfast menu. Food is good and always served quickly, but I think their prices are a little high compared to other options in the area.Nevertheless, the food is good and the wait staff is friendly and helfpul
Great food. The omelette was amazing. Great service.
Friendly, polite staff. Love the nova lox bagel and that I can get loaves of bread to go!
Im impressed! Quick Service and good food. Turkey Reuben was prepared perfectly.
Good food and generous portions. Can be very busy but the wait staff keeps up. Sweets cases offer lots of tasty looking overpriced choices.
Every time Im in Atlanta I have to stop in to eat the food is fabulous the people that work there especially the waitstaff make you feel right at home. You will have to wait some time but its worth it
We do deliveries for this company great food fast friend customer service..
Great bagels, and their poboy sandwich is like every meat together on one sandwich definitely worth a try.
The corned beef on rye was very good. I had chips with it. The service was attentive without being annoying. And best of all, it wasnt crowded at 2pm. I hear weekends can be a long wait. A true NY style Deli....
We absolutely love Goldbergs. We come every weekend, usually on Saturday and Sunday. The staff is amazing and the bagels are outstanding. Dont forget about their lunch as well, the brisket sandwich is my favorite!
Good food and excellent, friendly service. Well be back to get their specialty sausages and biltong.
Friendly staff and delicious food. I look forward to exploring more of their menu.
Visited this location on a Sunday afternoon and experienced quite a wait to get seated. They do pack you in pretty tight, so it can get awkward sitting so close to other tables. For being so busy the servers were attentive, and my brisket sandwich was delicious. Would come again but not at a peak time.
Theres always a wait here on weekend mornings, but the line moves quickly. The bagels are very good. Plenty of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. Service is attentive and prompt.
Lunch this afternoon was right on the money! I had a Pastrami on Rye. The bread was lightly toasted and the Pastrami was piled high. I believe this place is Kosher, because there was a complimentary jar of pickles on every table. Im not a huge fan of bread & butter pickles, but even these were really good. Our waitress was friendly, even though I was bumbling around the menu like a rookie. One other time I came here for a quick coffee and bagel. I recall that visit being equally enjoyable. Dont know if theyre open for dinner.Mazeltov!!!!
Some of the best bagels in the city. Served up with great attitude and a bit of love in each and everyone. There are tons of types to choose from and each is fantastic. Great place for a casual breakfast or lunch
They started delivering through uber eats, but when they mess up an order they refuse to make it right. They forgot the cream cheese on a fish platter, and when I called to ask about it they told me fish platters don’t come with cream cheese instead of just admitting they forgot it. See screenshot of their menu where it clearly says the platter comes with it. All I ask is a restaurant make it right but they refuse over $20. Great people huh?
This place is great for breakfast or lunch. Excellent service and delicious food!
The was very good
Been coming here for years. It’s always good. I think this is probably the best location as far as quality of the food.
Good service, good food. In the freezer by the register, they also have their own frozen meals big enough to feed a family (e.g., lasagna) you can take just heat up in the oven.
Great deli. Consistent quality
My favorite breakfast place in Atlanta! The bagels are always fresh and full of flavor. The lunch menu is incredible too!
The crew is absolutely amazing. The food was good too.
Always friendly service and a large menu with something for everyone.
Staple restaurant in Atlanta!! One of the best options for breakfast or lunch, and several locations around Atlanta to choose from. Strong operationally, and a great place to grab a bite.
Best corned beef hash Ive ever had!
Great food and service. Howard (one of the owners) is a great guy.
The service was fast and cordial and the orders were understood the first time spoken. Oh and the food is excellent. If youre not looking to be treated this well then of course the place isnt for you (haha).
Good experience!
Good service, always buzzing with activity and above average food.
Waited in takeout line 20 minutes. 6 employees there. No one would even acknowledge me so I left. Screw this place
Awe,,, this place is great and they make their bagels homemade...if you stop by, try the Double Cinnamon Raisin Bagel,,, its truly Amazing
This place is great any time of day or night.
A little slice of New York here in Atlanta. A true haven for ex-Brooklynites. Never again did i think I would see my sweet BLT again until I happened upon this place. Thank God for GoldBergs.
