This place has the best bagels. The coffee is delicious. Instead of using ice cubes that water down your drink, they have coffee ice cubes. I am a huge fan of the vanilla macchiato with Carmel add in (recommend by staff). Staff is friendly and helpful.
Did mobile ordering and pickup was super quick and easy, great service! Been looking for a good bagel place near home and finally found it. Got a lox bagel and all the ingredients were super fresh and delicious, and it was a big serving size, would 100% recommend!
Life is defined by moments that change everything. The day you graduate high school. When you meet the person youre going to marry. When you hold your newly born child in your arms for the first time. For me, perhaps one of the most impactful moments of my life, was the day I ingested a bagel made by a maestro of bakery named Sam the Baker. This man is a Mozart of boiled and then baked bread. He is a master of the muffin. He is a true virtuoso of the breakfast arts. Do yourself a favor, let this man slice your nova, hash your browns and smear his hummus all over your taste buds!101 Bagel Cafe has truly changed my life for the better, and I hope you will allow yourself to experience a Nirvana of the culinary kind produced by guru Sam the Baker and his magic baking hands.
The bagels are fresh and nicely filled - lots of options to personalize your sandwich - and the coffee is always divine!
Waited 30 minutes for a bagel with bacon cheese and avocado …. Not worth it. Was asked if I wanted my bagel toasted and said yes, but was not toasted. When I asked about my order after 30 minutes it was literally sitting in the window. I also mentioned a side of cream cheese and after standing there awkwardly for a bit while the pink haired cashier was talking to the back, she walked past and SLID the cream cheese across the counter to me without a word… her service seems to vary customer to customer (will come around the counter to hand food to some customers and my service). Angel, the other cashier was nice though.Also- everyone seems to be a bit younger and I feel like that might be an issue- the “manager “( I’m not sure) came to the front to remind the cashiers to check the bagels they have before letting customers order and I heard the girl say “I already do.”everyone seems chummy which might be where the disconnect between work and good customer service happens.
UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT?I think I heard the new owner saying he just bought the place. In the past the food was ok. Today, the same veggie omelette taste really good. Even the included hash browns taste as if they had been seasoned (I never enjoyed them).... the omelette was actually ENJOYABLE. I’ve always counted on this places for consistently OKAY breakfast. Now, if they keep this up, I can recommend to a friend! Great job.
Great place!! I love the atmosphere and the food. Mikey is a great baker!! I saw him baking. This is what he looked like.
Customer Service SUCKS!!!!!! The bagels are good and fresh. I always ask for toasted. Sometimes it’s toasted sometimes it’s not and it has always taken more than 10 minutes for 1 bagel and the bagels are already done. I guess that’s the sacrifice you make. Great Bagels BAD SERVICEI ordered my bagel at 836 I’m still waiting at 850.
Went to this location while on a girls trip for the weekend. Rob and Sam were extremely helpful and welcoming. I would recommend 101 Bagel Cafe to all of my friends and family.
This place has great food but I’ve had such disappointing service. Today I came in and waited over 30 minutes for a bagel egg and cheese sandwich - and when one of the employees tried to help make it to “speed it up” there was no egg on my order when I got it home. So I waited over 30 minutes for a bagel and cream cheese - definitely not worth it.
Everyone is so critical these days. Honest review would be bagels have been a little flat and the bacon/egg/cheese/salmon spread etc. Has decreased in volume. That said restaurant owners are trying to balance their food cost versus what they charge consumer. Personally I would be fine with price increase vs loss of final product! As far as your concerns to customer service, everyone is hurting! I eat at five diamond on a regular basis and service as well as quality has suffered. Possibly don’t stop frequenting the restaurants you love in the future! Thank you owners and staff for delicious food even if it takes more than five minutes!
Great bagels. Unfortunately many employees and customers not wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic. Disgusting. The cook wasn’t wearing one either.
Consistently put out great food, honestly one of the best Bagels in the ATL area, unfortunately you will wait anywhere from 30min to an hour for an order. Not sure if they’re understaffed but their customer service has plummeted over the past couple of years. Difficult to run a breakfast buisness when you can’t turn customers quickly. I’ve been coming here for years, sucks to see customers walk out from the frustration. I waited an hour today for a 101 Trio
The bagel sandwiches here are great, maybe best in ATL, but the service is absolutely horrible. Placed an order online cause I had someplace to be. Got there and they were out of egg whites, (but had regular eggs?) so they didn’t make my sandwich. Ok, fine. Tell them to use regular eggs, they then proceed to put my ticket at the end of the line, so the 12 other people who ordered In Person before me got theirs. From the time of my mobile order until I had my sandwich in hand it was 1 hour and 15 minutes. 45 of that was waiting in the store.
I love this place! The ice cubes coffee is fantastic! Always get the vanilla creamer with it. Their veggie lover bagel toasted and the chipotle chicken on a spinach wrap is my favorite! My boss recommended this place to me and I am here all the time! The food is tasteful and the staff always makes my visit pleasurable! Keep up the excellent work guys!
Ridiculously good place! So creative that they use frozen coffee ice cubes in your cold coffee drink so when the cubes melt you do not get water down flavor. This place is so far ahead of Starbucks it makes me VERY HAPPY 😊. BAGELS ARE SUPER FRESH AND PACKED WITH FLAVOR.. Angel was one of the best at the front counter taking our ordering. Sometimes when people are waiting you are put in pressure situation and he was instrumental in making sure we did not feel rushed to place our order. Keep up the great work!!
Great experience; Service was patient for me as a first time customer. Got my food pretty quick!
Updated review:Upped it to 5 stars because they redeemed themselves. Customer service today was great between the two workers I dealt with. Bagel was great, of course, and so was the coffee. Glad I gave them another shot.Bagel was great.First impression? Not so much. Sat on hold for 10+ min to place an order and they never came back to take it. Called back after waiting 10+ min and the lines are busy. Thankfully I ordered online while waiting on the phone. There were 2 customers in the store when I arrived. Half of my 2 item order was missing. But again, bagel was great.
Absolutely great place for breakfast, fast and affordable. Staff super friendly!
I love this place. After a slightly slow visit the owner reached out to me and was committed to making my experience amazing. This is a spot I will continue to go to 4-5 time a week. Keep rocking 101!
I went in there for breakfast. I was helped by sammy, he was so helpfull, and full of energy. He seemed like the happiest person around. He really made my day with his cheerfull self. Everytime i go in for breakfast, he is my go to guy. And the food is amazing !! Thank you so much sammy..
Yummy bagels and the staff was nice. Not a long wait either
I love this place and Sam is amazing! Keep up the great work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite bagel shops. Supporting small businesses is the key!
Angel is the best ever! (Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great person to welcome the guests in the front) Ill be back off of his level of customer service alone. The bagels are fresh as well, however.
I love love this place ❤ the food A1 the service A1 the look of the place is nice. I love the coffee 🧊 ice cubes. I wish all coffee spots did that. New favorite spot for my breakfast fix😋 keep up the great job 101 Bagel Cafe👍🏾
The service at this is establishment has gone down. What is the purpose of ordering online if the order doesn’t even go to the kitchen staff? I placed an order this morning at and when I got there, she had to manually enter the order. So I had wait another 10-15 mutinies minutes to them to make my sandwich. I received a text this morning at 7:08 saying my order will ready for pick up around 7:13am. I received a text at 1:40 pm this afternoon saying my order is ready for pickup. Ridiculous. Maybe you shouldn’t offer online ordering until you can come up with a better process.I have also gone on other occasions the order was not correct.
I always stopped by this place on my way back from work but recently Ive been really disappointed. I stopped in with my husband and we were just very uncomfortable with the cashiers conduct she spoke about her new divorce and then said something rude about him being military which I found so unpleasant giving my husbands side is all military just an overall awful experience. I tried calling later and no one answered the phone the one time it was answered I was told to hold because they are understaffed I held for 33 min and the was hung-up on. Will NOT becoming back!
I’m not sure what has happened to this place over the last year but it has gone downhill fast. Not the food but the workers/customers service. My last 5 visits have been bad but today was definitely the worst. The workers behind the front counter seem to live in their own little world. The girl working this morning (10am) with long blonde hair had the worst attitude. I watched her repeatedly scoff and eye roll at customers and her voice tone was really condescending. She also had all her hair pulled over her shoulders so when she reaches down for a bagel all her hair was in the basket with the bagels. The one exception to this review is a young Hispanic man (I think I heard someone call him Angel) that is almost always working up front. He is doing his job and everyone else’s while his co-workers chit chat and laugh.
Finally a sandwich with a TON of meat. The staff was awesome and the bagel was fantastic. Definitely will be making another stop soon.
Waited 45 minutes for an online pick-up order that said it was ready at the time of my arrival - hash browns were cold when I finally got them.A customer who mentioned she had waited 13 minutes was offered a free coffee as consolation and when my order was finally ready I jokingly mentioned that I was about to just give up on my order and leave without a refund. The cashier snarkily said the weekend and motioned his hands in a rainbow shape. Will not be going here again and would definitely not recommend going on Saturday morning to anyone. They are grossly understaffed.
Delicious breakfast bagels! I will certainly be returning to this place for more of these. The picture is of the 101 bagel. Very tasty. We were a bit confused and disappointed that they were out of their coffee ice cubes due to equipment issues, though it seemed like some other patrons were later served these. Not sure what was happening with those.
The bagels here are sooo good, I have to give it a 1 because the customer service isn’t that well. The staff moves with no sense of urgency Sundays here are the worse. I order my bagel with egg, Turkey sausage, cheese and cream cheese. Of course I didn’t check it because I was on my way to work. But when I got to work there was no cheese or cream cheese. This was disappointing, this place has so much potential.
Sam Lubin served me the best bagel ever!
Pretty long wait (nearly 40 minutes) for two bagels, and many of the orders prior to ours were wrong and had to be re-made. At least two people with orders ahead of us walked out before receiving food due to the wait.
Good bagels but consistent 30+ minute waits for a single bagel with cream cheese. Need more staff in the kitchen
Very good experience. Bagels and sandwiches were good. Also got bagels with cream cheese (regular and almond) - they give you a lot of cream cheese. Got bagels to go - they even put a ziplock back with the order, to keep them fresh. The iced tea was good ( I say this because not all cafes have good tea). The only letdown was the amount of Taylor Ham on the Jersey Boy sandwich. Two thin slices - pork roll must be sliced and fried thick, for a good taste. Take it from this Jersey boy.
The bagels and other food items are very delicious, but the customer service was a bit lacking and can be improved.
Love the coffee ice cubes so my cold coffee isnt watered down. The egg sandwiches are delicious! The 101 trio with a everything bagel was my favorite
Love this coffee place fresh coffee better than Starbucks
Great place. Great experience!
Visited this place yesterday, the cashier was polite, breakfast bagels were quite good, Id recommend the egg whites options. The place was empty, seemed overstaffed, but the order was takeout regardless
The bagels are great, but you have to deal with a lot of eye rolling and slow service from the staff... I was embarrassed for the owner by the staffs body language...
This used to be a great Jewish-style NY deli. Apparently, they thought theyd reopen and masquerade as the same kind of place, and its not.One cashier despite multiple people cleaning the restaurant.Slow ordering. Food comes out very slow, does not taste fresh. Toast is not even toasted- thats just bread. Also ordered a muffin (stale). Staffed by people who clearly didnt want to be there. Your shift manager was the only saving grace, she was clearly trying to carry the rest of the Bagel 101 team.Dont come here. Chick-fil-A and Corner Bakery right in the same shopping center, you have other options.
This place is consistently dirty. The person making the bagels visibly didn’t have their mask covering their nose. Their drink machine has mold growing on the inside. We really try not to come here. I wish they stayed operated by Brooklyn water bagels to keep up with safety standards.
Theres always a wait. I ordered online at 10:30 a.m. and was told pick up available @ 10:46. It was after 11 when my order was ready.
I had the bacon, egg, and cheese on the everything bagel (the popular one they show on the website). It was ok. I thought it would be fresh eggs and bacon but it didn’t taste like it. Tasted like they shipped the eggs in like that and warmed up the bacon. Hey, if you’re looking for a quick bite, grab it! No different than eating the warmed up sandwiches from Starbucks— but I digress! The coffee wasn’t really my style either... A bit bitter for me. They had other flavors but I chose one that I thought wouldn’t be as dark but it still was.The staff was extremely nice though (and the other customers too)! This is why I give it 4 stars!
I come here semi-regularly before work. The staff is always friendly. They have messed up my drink a few times but they always fix it with a smile on their face.
Yes young lady, your contempt for your customers is all over your face.Im thinking the sausage they use on in their sausage and egg sandwiches is made by Purina? This place is terrific.
The place is short staffed which I get, but man I waited 30 mins for a breakfast sandwich and it was burnt.
Love this place! Very clean and friendly. New cashiers and management are great. Can’t wait for more locations
Slow service and asked for an ice coffee and the lady with blue hair touched everything then grad ice without changing gloves
Really great bagels and cream cheese, but the ordering and pickup process seemed pretty disorganized. I placed an order online for pickup and there was no clear location in the restaurant to pick up to-go orders. Partially my fault, but I just stood for a few minutes waiting for my name to be called.
I waited my turn while they filled other orders was told they would get my 6 bagels. They took the customer behind me filled there order before mine so none of my order was available. Defeats the purpose standing in line to place an order if they are going to go around you.
We enjoyed our food but we didnt notice the service fee on our online order until we left- $7.00 on a $10.00 order is crazy!
Best bagel In Atlanta area hands down! They aint no joke!!!!!!!
Extremely slow service. Waited nearly 10 mins just for a bagel and a frappe
The service was great and Im all for healthy but the lack of seasoning was not appreciated Ive never tasted something so bland in my life. I dont want to sound mean but the worst omelet of my life was from 101 Bagel Cafe.
Amazing iced coffee and a very fun and eclectic environment. Definitely my new neighborhood coffee shop. They will even host events for you at no charge
Best Bagels in South East
My everything bagel was EVERYTHING!!Definitely recommend
Poor/inconsistent service, and food doesn’t make up for it
A few tables inside to sit at, great fresh tasting bagels with a good selection of sandwiches too.
I just had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and I have to admit its probably the best bagel Ive had since leaving New York. I will be back! Strong work!
Read the low reviews. Went anyway, twice. Exemplary service, quality food, both times..
The food was fine but the cashiers were incredibly rude. Not sure if we came at a bad time or they were having a bad day, but Im not sure Ill be back.
I will NEVER Come here again. Customer service sucks. There is not point of calling ahead. They still make you wait. My food was COLD.
Super quick and easy breakfast or lunch!!!! Visited this place for breakfast when in town and came back the next day again. It was also very easy to walk to from a nearby hotel. Good portions and good price.
Great food, probably could use a deep cleaning inside the restaurant. Will be back for sure, Veggie Lovers bagel sandwich was great.
Delicious breakfast sandwiches the girls in the kitchen are 3 very efficient and fast I liked the service....
I paid for my order with my credit card and I usually Tip them cash when I get the food but this girl got all snooty when I didnt put A tip on my credit card. Yelp asks questions if they are following protocol for Covid. The lady making the sandwiches and making the bagels wasnt wearing a hairnet and wasnt wearing a mask I was ready to ask for a refund
I never write reviews but this experience deserved one. I walked into 101 bagel cafe at 2:55pm, having no idea they closed at 3pm.The young lady was so cordial letting me know. She offered to make the bagel sandwich I wanted. She was not abrupt or rude and seemed genuinely happy to make me happy. We shared one of their stellar, should be awarding winning muffins and chatted about our so-so day we were both having. My sandwich was ready in no time and it was fantastic. Nicely done!
If I could give less than one star I would. I ordered here yesterday via postmates because I wanted to take advantage of free delivery. I get my large coffee THERE WERE LUMPS AND CURDLES FOR MILK! THESE PEOPLE POURED COMPLETELY OLD COAGULATED MILK IN COFFEE AND SERVED THIS! I immediately called the restaurant and the woman said I cannot do anything about it! THE BREAKFAST SANDWICH WAS OLD AND STALE!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
First time and I loved my visit. I got my coffee and bagel to go. I ordered ice coffee and blt with cheese on jalapeno cheddar bagel toasted and is delicious! I love that the ice cubes are actually made of coffee!! The food is good however what convinced me to leave a review was the service from the cashier. A young gentleman-wish I could have got his name but was very nice and respectful. He definitely has a customer oriented attitude which is what is lacking in the service industry nowadays. Thank you for making my first visit here great. Will be back again!
Go every day! Best bagels in GA
Pretty good bagels, good prices
Delicious bagels for a great price!
If all you are getting is a bagel you are safe. If you were going to get a sandwich and go some place else. I got a Reuben from their 1st off the rye bread is cheap fake rye bread like arbys but at least arbys meet is hot my reuben had cold meet in it like a corned beef sandwich. And the meat was fatty and chewy I didnt even eat it I wound up throwing my sandwich way. I would have gave them one star if it was not for the fact that the bagels are not badd.
Great food and customer service
Used to be Brooklyn water bagels. The staff seemed more polite before the change. The bagels are still good though.
Awesome staff...Very engaging and friendly. Food taste good also
Went here for the first time and might be my last. Not sure if it was a bad day, but I waited 20 minutes for a chai latte. And I left a tip on my card. Unacceptable
Hit or miss! The food is always decent. But the service is sometimes very slack. No one is rude or mean... just kind of scattered or lazy. The cold brew coffee with coffee cubes is a fan fave. And the 101 blend is the best.
Called in takeout sandwiches for the family. Kids loved the turkey and tuna sandwich options. They said anyone that lives local and doesn’t get sandwiches at 101 Bagel Cafe is missing out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I read reviews before hand, but didnt want to be discouraged. I went in and there was no line, a and ordered without as problem, but some how still ended up waiting 10 minutes to receive my order. It also got under my skin that someone who arrived at least 5 minutes after me recieved their order before me. All i ordered was a toasted bagel with butter, and it was saturated with butter. It could have just been an off morning, but I most likely wont return.
In the morning there is a blond young girl her customers service is not so friendly. During this time that’s very important I hope management supervises her.
These are the best bagels I have ever had and Im from the Northeast. Big,chewy and delicious. They even coat both sides of the everything bagel.
I miss Brooklyn Water Bagel, but really the only thing thats changed is the decor. The bagels are still delicious & the employees are still incredibly friendly! One star off for consistently slow service after ordering, at least on the weekends. (Ive heard its faster during the week.) They make everything fresh, and that takes time, but it seems a little excessive. Still worth stopping in, just give yourself some extra time.
Was waiting on line for 15 minutes (only one person in front of me) only for the staff to call up the person behind me, and totally ignore me. They also skimp on meat in sandwiches; I used to do a double order of bacon or whatever protein after they seemed to have shrunk their portions...a double order is basically 3 strips of the skinniest bacon I have ever seen - robbery!Theres been days where they wont open due to oven problems. Im sure there is more than one oven in the place. In any case, after today, Im never going back.Edit 9/19/21: The owner responded a year later (you can see below). Just note that I tried to deal with him in the past and he started to ignore me and not respond back while we were having our initial back-and-forth.Too little, too late. I bake my own bagels and make my own cream cheese now, and also learned how to mix different roasts of coffee from different parts of the world. I have my very own cafe at home, and it is definitely a class up from 101 (sorry for the horrible dad joke...if youre a student, youll prolly get it, then hate it, LOL).
Great bagel and good coffee. We stopped in this morning for a quick breakfast and were not disappointed. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar and my wife ordered the cinnamon raisin. Both were great. We’d gladly return.
Ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel and a garlic bagel with avocado. For some reason my cinnamon raisin tasted like garlic. Maybe change gloves etc. Before prepping different flavors. Not a fan of the bagels here at all.
