Gordys Tire is amazing. My car broke down on the highway and we had it towed to them in the middle of the night. They immediately checked it out the following morning and notified me that my VIN number was tied to an engine recall and helped me begin that process. They saved me THOUSANDS! If you live in the Atlanta area and need service, HIGHLY recommend using them!! They are out go to for all services for both vehicles.

Communication from the Gordy Tire team was excellent. They texted, called and emailed with me, regarding my recent brake pad repairs. I was attending business meetings out of state, while the repairs were being done, and was not available to check in with them often. The Gordy team made the process easy. Very professional and caring group!

The mechanics here really took care of me. I had a torn cv boot and had to get my axle replaced which would have costed me $1500 at the Nissan dealership in town. These guys fixed up my car for less than $500 and probably half the time. I’m very glad they were recommended to me.

Although its not a newly designed shop it is a neighborhood go to spot when today there are few left. I bought a set of tires that cost a little more than the best price online however it was worth it to have the work done in 20mins. First time for service as I just moved to Atlanta. Car was leaking oil. They found that it was just a poor job by the last oil change. They just charged me for a normal change service. Honest.

Great shop for auto whee alignment

I have taken vehicles to Gordy Tire and Automotive several times and always been satisfied. Everyone Ive dealt with there has communicated clearly and with respect, and I have been satisfied with their work.My last visit deserves special mention. I took our old 2002 Camry in with a leaking gas line. While repairing that, they accidentally broke an exterior door handle. This was no surprise, given the history of old Toyota door handles breaking. (Ive done it myself.) Gordy told me what happened, told me they already had a new handle on order, and offered to replace it at their cost. Today I offered to pay for the handle if they cover labor, but they insisted on paying for both.I havent had any complex work done at Gordy yet, but so far Im impressed with their customer service and satisfied with their work and their fees.

I’ve been meaning to write about Gordy’s for a while because I love them so much. They are truly, truly honest mechanics and they have given me and my wife so much peace of mind when it comes to our cars.Over the past few years, we have taken our cars to Gordy’s for a variety of issues. They fix most problems for reasonable prices and they give clear, detailed explanations of what is wrong and what needs to be done.If they can’t fix a problem, they will quickly tell you and give good advice about who can fix it. They do have a diagnostic fee for some stuff, but there are times that I’ve explained an issue and they’ve sent me on my way without charging me if they can’t fix it.Recently, my wife had a tire puncture and she had to take her car to a national chain because it was after normal business hours. They wanted to charge her for a replacement tire, but when she took the car to Gordy’s the next day, they plugged the tire in about five minutes. It cost us a fraction of what a new tire would have.I was out of town, so it meant a lot to me that my wife could take her car to a place that we trust where I knew she would get an honest assessment. That level of reassurance is rare with any business, much less a mechanic‘s shop. We will be loyal Gordy’s customers for life after our many, many wonderful experiences with them.

This might make me look like I am overreacting, but if youre working in a car repair shop and I tell you that my car makes a screeching noise when its started for the first time in the day, you should know right off the bat that the problem area is the serpentine belt, the tensioner or timing belt. Asking for the car to be kept for 24 hours to diagnose the problem, and then asking for $135 dollars just to diagnose the car is nothing short of daylight robbery in my opinion. I had to get out of there before my car was even looked at. Definitely wont be going back there any time soon.

This place is incredible. I needed repair on my flat tire and I was in and out within 30-45 minutes. They were honest about the tire condition and didnt try to sell me a new set!

If you have a tire issue, go to Gordy. Had a slow leak in one of my tires. They pulled a 2in nail out, patched it, and charged me considerably less than expected. All in 20 min. Prompt, friendly, thorough service. Highly recommend them!

My husband and I drove to Atlanta to visit friends on a Saturday from our home about 2 hours away. We noticed a nail in our tire as soon as we arrived in town and knew we had to act fast to minimize the damage. A quick Google search for nearby body shops showed great reviews for Gordys so we started here.We received top notch customer service--they treated us like customers they had dealt with for years and had an established business relationship with. Perfectly reasonable pricing and amazing turnaround time for a pretty spring Saturday afternoon. We were in and out in under 30 minutes and spent less than $20 on a plugged tire.As an out of town visitor, the experience with Gordys was truly a best case scenario. Two of my four tires have had problems for a while. One day I noticed they were essentially flat... And I freaked out.Called Gordy around 11:30 am on a weekday and they were able to take me in immediately. Since I hadnt been to Gordy before I was concerned about the service and charge.They inspected the tires and told me one needed replaced and one needed repaired and gave me a quote. When they done, I paid for $119, reasonable! And I was able to get in and out within 45 minutes!Highly recommended. I will take my car back to Gordy for tire work without hesitation!

I had a very good experience here. My back tire had a not so common valve issue that was disguised as a flat tire. The mechanics at Gordys diagnosed it, and fixed it all within the cost of a new tire. I was just passing by, but if I lived in Atlanta Id definitely come here again.

Had to get my tire repaired today...ran over a screw...Gordy Tire fixed it within 30 mins (had no appointment - just straight off the street) and they charged me a very fair price...its nice to know that there are folks out there that arent always looking to take advantage of a situation...I will always take my car needs to Gordy Tire. They are terrific.

Bought a new Michelin tire

Got tires fixed here when I was super lucky to get a flat and then puncture another tire somehow. Very quick and communicative service with decent prices. Great customer service.

Very rude. NEVER GO HERE!!! I spent upwards of $1000 to be treated like a woman and told that my car was awful, and they were miracle workers for even getting it running. The car had a broken sensor and needed a new timing belt (worn), and I received the car back with 3 broken engine mounts. If they were worn before, they were definitely damaged while in the shop. The lead mechanic pointed his finger in my face, treated me awfully, and yelled that he was a perfect mechanic and did not do anything wrong (the level of defense shows me he messed up and had already thought about the defense). He also called me a stupid woman, and was laughing at me while I *barely* drove my car off. Worst part? I was called and told my car was running PERFECTLY and would have to pay before getting my keys. They also told me I could drive on 3 broken motor mounts. When I took it to another mechanic, he said I could have died on the highway getting to him. Long story short, I went to another mechanic who showed me the unnaturally worn and broken mounts caused by imbalance while working on it and paid them to fix my car. This was the typical woman trying to get her car fixed experience and then some - from hell because I was treated so rudely. Also, I am not an inexperienced woman. I have a chemical engineering degree and do most repairs on my car at home. To add, I probably would have let them fix my motor mounts for more money (which is what mechanics usually do, break more stuff so they get paid more), but treating me like dirt draws the line.

While this place seems fairly honest (which isnt that common in the automotive business), they have a real problem with their operations and lead times. I brought my car in at 8:10 AM (10 minutes after opening) for an oil change and 4 new tires. It took them 4 hours to perform this service. (they told me I would need to expect 2 hours to be safe and conservative). Thats WAY too long.While I appreciate the service they offer, now Im pretty hesitant to come back in to get my tires rebalanced. I cant waste that much time waiting for their garage to get their act together. Why dont they take appointments?

As a single girl, walking into an auto shop can be very intimidating. D & H went above and beyond to help me understand the issues with my car and lay out all of my options. Their quote was a mere quarter of the amount that had been previously quoted by another local shop and they now have a new loyal customer in me! I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend them... Bill can fix ya right up!! A++++

Seems like a very honest and affordable spot. I have been here several times both for my car and my girlfriends car. Both times the repairs were done on time for a very affordable amount. My girlfriend had a check engine light come on, which always makes me apprehensive as a repair shop can pretty much claim anything is wrong at that point. They found the issue (a battery switch) and fixed it for a very small fee, will be back.

The only mechanics on Howell Mill who will PLUG and/or patch your tire. The big chains within a 1/2 mile have all confirmed to patching only which is limited to a certain distance from the center of the tread. If something pokes your tire anywhere beyond their limits, the big tire & automotive companies try to sell you tires.So, thank you, Gordy mechanics for plugging our two front tires which both had gotten screws stuck in them. These tires (bought elsewhere) were less than 6 months old—still have excellent tread—so to be told by 5 other big chain mechanics that they could not be repaired & had to be replaced ($300+) was absolutely absurd. I trust the plugs Gordy put in our tires and feel confident in their work.$30 & 30 minutes later I was out the door driving on my two plugged tires. THANK YOU!

I had an air leak in one of my tires. I figured I had probably picked up a nail, but had no real way of knowing if that was the cause. It wound up I was right, they plugged the hole, charged me $15, and sent me on my way. No upselling at all, very fast, 0 complaints.

This place sucks. Went to get my car alignment done. I was told they could not align the camber. Whats an alignment without the camber. Please dont waste your time or money. Sure wish i had read the reviews before hand.

My car has lost some power. I took it to Gordy for them to diagnose the problem. They did their computer analysis and reported that they did not find a problem and gave me their bill. I paid them to tell me they couldnt figure it out. I will go to a service shop that can.

Scam artists. STAY AWAY.Quoted me at $1500 for AC repair, then charged me $150 for looking at it and putting recharge in it and didnt even ask me if I wanted the recharge (which was useless because its BROKEN).Went somewhere else, they quoted me at $700 for AC repair. Less than HALF the price these rude douchebags wanted.You dont get paid $100+/hr to fix cars you jackasses. If you want to earn that, learn a trade that takes a little more skill.

Had an unexpected break down on my way to work. Had the tow truck drop my car off without me even being at the shop, the guys were nice enough to call and confirm my car got there and was in the shop. An hour later I got a phone call and the problem was diagnosed. To my suprise, they not only had my car fixed that day (I expected a minimum of 2 days with the damage that I thought I incurred) but they also had it fixed for a great price and never once tried to sell me anything extra. They are an extremely honest, good business, which is rare these days for their industry. I will be back for maintenance in future.

Came in on Saturday 9/28/19. They were having trouble figuring out where my tire was leaking from. After an hour they told me they had found a pin nail and that they had repaired it. Well two days later my tire has lost 6 psi and is obviously still leaking. Would not recommend coming here.

Horrible Customer Service - I purchased an oil change punch card for this business. On the card it states that Appointments Required for servicing. I called to make an appointment and was told that they don’t make appointments and I would just need to show up before 10:00 am see if they had the time to change the oil. I show up at the place and they say that all the bays are full and can I leave my car for 2 hours to get the oil changed. I don’t think so. My time is more valuable than theirs. Don’t patronize this unethical business.

I have had nothing but good experiences here. It was recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to the city. I started having car trouble and was really worried about finding an honest mechanic in a city I wasnt familiar with at all. The first time I had battery problems and brought my car into Gordy Tire, they found out what the problem was and didnt even charge me for the diagnosis. The second time, they fixed a larger problem in my car and kept the cost within my budget and were completely honest about the problem. They have never tried to con me into buying more services when I didnt need them. The guys who work there are friendly and kind, and remember your name. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car shop with integrity and good service. :-)

I saw the negative reviews and figured I would try this place anyway. Mistake.I called to ask how much an oil change was, gave them my make and model of my vehicle and clearly specified and verified that the price they quoted me for was for a high mileage oil change. Jimmy quoted me at between 38 and 39 dollars. Surprised at the low cost for that being a high mileage oil change I verified again that the price was for a high mileage oil change.As a side note my phone records all phone calls. I wish I could upload it to this review for you guys to hear.So I got to the shop where I was greeted by a frowning androgynous individual who commanded me to move my car, so I did, hoping not to get eaten.I walked inside and filled out the paperwork and dropped the keys off. As I was leaving I remembered to verify the price and was told it was $55. I left to get an errand done and was wondering why the price difference was so much different than quoted, after all it was a simple oil change, not rebuilding a transmission which could contain unforseen circumstances allowing for the price to change dramatically. Went back into the store and told him I was quoted at 38-39 bucks which seemed pretty precise and asked where the difference in $16 was coming from (every penny counts especially when you have 2 cars needing an oil change). He told me it would be 38-39 bucks for a conventional oil change. If I wanted a run of the mill standard oil change I would go to ntb for half that price! He told me that a high mileage oil change would be $80. I played the recording of the conversation that Jimmy and I had and he walked away, grabbed my keys and asked me if I wanted my keys back. I said yes please, good bye you liar.I am now siting in the waiting room of Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers watching them finish up both of my cars in a half hour at the price they quoted me on the phone. (if you skipped to the end of my review please note that this last paragraph is for Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers, not Gordy tire. Gordy tire lies and overcharges. I wouldnt trust gordy for anything. (FYI I played the phone conversation for the guys at express, we all had a good laugh)

This place was Ok when the previous mgr. was present. They broke my mirror and at first was going to repair it. However they change their minds and told me they will install it but I have to buy a new one. I told them that I didnt break it your employee broke it. Im taking them to court. Dont do businews here they suck..
