Honda dealership listed $2,200 in repairs needed on my 2009 Honda Pilot. Took car to Far East Motor Works for them to review and repair as needed. They found that only my brake pads needed replacing and not my alternator, timing belt, and rear shocks. Saved me almost $2,000. They dont get more honest than that. Im a customer for life.

A trustworthy mechanic shop: Far East Motor Works was fast with their work, honest and skilled. They exceeded my expectation. I was informed at a Honda dealer that my car had an oil leak, which they didn’t discover two weeks prior when they did the oil change on my car, but discovered it at the second visit when I was getting the battery replaced. I asked if the oil leak was related to the oil change (if not done right then a common cause for oil leak). Their answer was ‘NO’. I asked them to double check, they again said ‘not the oil change’. Instead, they recommended a diagnostic test and said it was the timing case and wanted to charge a large amount of money. I took the car home, and did notice where I parked my car before had a fresh oil stain, so I parked mu car at a different spot and observed it for two days, this time I noticed no new oil stain. Interesting... so oil leak started after the first visit with the honda dealer, but stopped after the second visit? I wanted a second professional opinion so I went to Far East Motor. In less than one hour, they informed me there was signs of previous oil leak (lots of it) in the pan. There was a little old stain near the timing case but not a lot, so the lots of oil leak in the pan is unlikely due to the timing case. They cleaned the stains, ran the car for another 30 min, observed no new leak or stain... doesn’t that say something? When they gave me the bill, it printed zero dollar as the balance. They did it for free, did not charge me, did not offer unnecessary repair, and explained everything they did and found. I was so thankful. Now that’s a trustworthy mechanic shop...

I have an older (1998) Honda Civic that I love, but is ageing into the proverbial one-horse shay - the people at FarEast are knowlegeable about the car, listen and hear my issues, are very accommodating with appt scheduling, follow up and recommendations for priorities. Very personable, friendly and very affordable in this market. I also like that they take appointments, so you have a reliable time frame to schedule around and are good about follow ups. They are my new go-to.

Far East Motorworks repaired the sensor on my gas tank cover. The dealer had told me that the cables had snapped but that wasn’t the case - it was just a bad sensor. I appreciated that Far East Motorworks honestly fixed the issue. Everything is working perfectly now and the repair cost $300 less than the repair estimate provided by Curry Honda.

I was tired of taking my 2015 Acura MDX to dealerships primarily because of FLASH versus SUBSTANCE. It was always expensive and it seemed that even with an appointment, the car would not be worked on time. Dealers seem more interested in selling extra services than spinning wrenches.Far East was recommended by a friend, so having transmission problems I made an appointment. My MDX was test driven ON TIME and then further evaluated in the shop. Acura had made an improvement to the computer ‘knowledge’ on the car’s computer which would cure the transmission problem. i had to buy this program improvement for the MDX was past warranty, but it fixed the transmission problem. I also had a general service performed.Driving home I was so startled at how well the transmission worked I returned to Far East to compliment them!It should be mentioned that by conversing with the service manage at Far East: he was unable to get ANY work done, answered fifty questions I had about car computers, explained my bill thoroughly, and remained patient and courteous.I brought a handful of business card home to pass out to friends. I took a chance with Far East Motorworks and ive never regretted the decision so far. The prices are fair, affordable, and they dont hassle you into buying unnecessary parts or service for vehicle. Our Acuras were always serviced at the dealer until we moved to Atlanta. Then I had a very bad experience with the dealer here and I heard about Far East. Ive been taking our Acuras there ever since and they are the best! FAR cheaper than the dealer but the best quality service, and they even keep track of things that you would like to know about -- like your battery, brakes, etc. Fantastic mechanics and the support staff are friendly and really care about what they do.

Ive taken my car here twice and have been so impressed that Ive decided to make this my new mechanic! There arent enough stats for the rating. The folks at Far East Motor Works are very good at working on Hondas. I took my 13 V6 Accord to them for a 105000 mile service and they did a fast great job. All the other shops couldnt tell me how much it would cost or how long the job would take. Gordon at Far East Motor Works knew exactly how much each procedure on my car would cost and how long it would take. No guessing at all. Not only did his shop and mechanics deliver on what they said, they went far beyond my expectations and I am grateful. If you have a Honda or Acura, do yourself a solid go see them for any work you may need done.

Not only are the Far East folks dependable and efficient, I have called more than once to describe problems with my Acura MDX, and each time was listened to patiently and then given what limited diagnosis was possible due to my non-mechanic descriptions. Had check engine light come on and my 12 Acura TSX had no power. Got it to Far East. Didnt have an appointment but they got right on it. A call 2 hours later with the estimate. They looked it over and found a small other issue. They clearly explained it all. They got the repairs done that day. Super fast service. Honest and straight forward. Plus the price was extremely reasonable. Couldnt be happier. The TSX is never going anywhere else again. Best Honda/Acura shop in all of Atlanta.

I trust these guys, more than the dealers. Kept my 21 year old cr-v going without costing an arm and a leg and when it finally died on the operating table due to mistake made by the dealer years ago, I brought its replacement in for a checkup and feel secure.
