I have been coming to this place for many years because of convenience and walking distance to home. Honestly it has not always been easy and the best experience with them but I think things have changed for the better and now they have a good team in place that gets the work done and most important knows what they are doing . However, you have to be prepared to spend some time there especially if you are just looking for a quick in and out oil change. If you need serious car repairs its best if you can drop it off and leave it there. Their master mechanic is very experienced. Not too long ago I was in the unfortunate situation and needed to get my catalytic converters replaced. They are rather expensive but they are still more reasonably priced than going to an actual dealership. And just more recently I’ve had a full brake service and replace done and I am very pleased with it. Not cheap either but Romeo was working with me and made some price concessions. Since I am also a rewards member I was able to bring the price down even more with extra coupons. So if you have car issues go and see Romeo and he will take good care of you.
If I could give zero stars I would. This is definitely one of the worst experiences I have with any place that works on cars. My time was taken for granted and I was almost overcharged $50 dollars because Richard included something that I never asked for. I dropped my car off 2 and a half hours early just to come back 5 and a half hours later to not having my car finished. I asked to get my 4 tires changed and they were changed until I arrived. The checkout process was even worse. I waited for 30 minutes because he could not figure out how to correctly charge me. With this I let him know I was in a time crunch and continued to waste my time. she tried to offer me a free oil change. I will not being coming back here ever and I hope other customers are treated with respect because I was not.

I was having a terrible day- my rental car got a nail in my tire and AVIS was absolutely not helpful so I decided to fix it myself. After visiting 5 shops and being turned away because they were too busy or the lack of techs in their shop, I came here and they saved the day for me and quickly too. Romero was very kind and for that I am very thankful.

The oil light on my 2015 Kia Optima started flashing on a Sunday. I nervously added some oil but I really wanted a full oil change immediately if not sooner! Romeo at the Pep Boys on Buford Hwy took me right in and they put in the full synthetic oil I needed without much of a wait at all at a great price. The experience was so good that I went home and brought my wifes Kia in the same day. The dealer couldnt do it for 2 weeks. I highly recommend Pep Boys!

Ok so so.....nothing stands out. Ran over a pothole Sat around 3p. As I was working Uber Eats. So upon my stop I looked at tire back to back stops and wasnt comfy. Googled closet shops still open.Long story short after 3rd Pep Boys stop changed that tire almost $160! Told it was all they had in my size etc. Now its 5pm, close at 7. Out in an hour. Went back 3 days later too get match. Avg customer svc, nothing stood out. Rep lady named Ivellise.Ive had 2 separate bad experiences tho 20+ yrs ago dealing with tires and lights in different states. Not my 1st choice, only a convenience stop.
This was such a great last minute car problem experience!!! I am not exactly sure who helped me initially, but the gentleman was so informative about my car and the problem associated. Car tires oil change other car needs.
Took my car here for engine light code Mass Air Flow Sensor. They told me I had a cracked/leaking manifold and I needed a new manifold,some related things, new oxygen sensors and new mass air flow sensor total repair cost about $1,300. My car is a 2004 so I took it somewhere else and they diagnosed cracked fuel injector which turned out to be the correct diagnostic at less than half the cost.
I had a blow out and had my car towed there. It took three hours to find my car with detailed directions and what the car looked like. Then it took another three hours to find the tire. Finally got my car at closing! Drove it home and it was shaking so bad that I had to have it towed someplace else after hours. The other shop told me it was the wrong size! I lost all my faith in this company!
They were professional, waiting area arranged for safe distancing, and Mr. Ali, technician and Mr. Marlon, manager are always courteous. Mr. Ali is very thorough and make sure youre informed about whats going on with your car.

I’ve been taking all of my vehicles to this location for the last 7 years, pretty loyal customer. Last time I came in they told me if I bought I set of tires it would come with free alignment, tire rotation and balancing. I brought the car in for an oil change today and they charged me $100 for an oil change (who charges that much anyway) and $100 for alignment. When I said that was supposed to be free they decided that was the time to tell me my 4 tires didn’t actually come with free alignment at all. That’s a really shady way to do business, especially when I specifically said before they took my car keys that I expected it to be free. Great way to lose a loyal customer. That’s oil changes for 3 cars gone, tires for 3 cars gone, any misc. issues for three cars gone. But yea you got an extra $100 from me. Well played Pep Boys!
Worst shop Ive ever been to mechanic fix the timing on my Jeep all I was is a simple realignment of the distributor and thats all that was needed to be done. For some reason he ripped the electrical out of under my dash for the LED door entry lights. Then disconnected a large hose from my EVAP system then when he took it on a test drive he raced out of the parking lot like is a f****** race car and damn near wrecked it
In the past I have gone to Jiffy Lube but I decided to try Pep Boys due to their great online reviews. I am happy to report that I will be sticking to Pep Boys! I was attended by Mike who was friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to set me up with my rewards card and got my car serviced quickly. Best part --> I was not swindled into buying anything more than needed!Highly recommend this location!

My experience at this particular Pep Boys Shop was amazing. From the moment I called and was given all of the information I needed, to my arrival and receiving the best customer service ever. Once I arrived, one particular employee by the name of Mike was so wonderful. He spoke to me as soon as I walked in, showed me what was wrong with my tire, and told me my best options for repair. I can honestly say the 30 minute drive to this particular Pep Boys was absolutely worth it.
Frank the Service Manager is a fantastic person! This was my first time having any car repairs at a Pep Boys location. He was courteous and very knowledgeable about the repairs my car needed. He made me feel confident that I was getting quality service. I appreciate how he addressed my concerns. He is a professional who provides great customer service. My daughter recommended Pep Boys. I’m very proud of the service Raj the manager knew exactly what I needed once I walk through the door. Which meant he paid attention to his client and their need before the client having to ask. The tire tech was also helpful and very nice. I high recommend this location. As you can see it’s the first day of the year and they could of easily and understandably been ready to go home to be with family and instead they treated me like family through good service. After company approval to change brake it took over 2 hours to change a simple brake part even when I have been waiting for a total of 5hours (Including approval)*They were not even busy.The mechanic service response is really slow.Make me waste my time.
I am so upset with them. I have been getting my oil change for 4 years here. Today I decided to go to Toyota dealership. What I have been paying for one oil change at Pep Boys alone, can get me two oil changes with tire rotation at Toyota. I basically wasted so much money at Pep Boys. On top of that they always tried to charge me more for the oil change. They treat you like an idiot. When you catch them, the things they come up with deserves an Emmy.

I can’t express how grateful I am to this location! Mike was extraordinarily accommodating, and kind to my specific needs ! I came in super close to closing, as my job had let out late.. Mike and his crew were considerate enough to still work on my car, and even took the extra time out to inform me about the other stuff that was going wrong with my car! Super vigilant, and these folks definitely know what they’re talking about ! They helped me find the best deals and products for my price point, and I can’t stress how much they improved my day ! The service here is incredible! The mechanic was really nice and looked out for me when he checked my other tires. And the associate who cashed me out was equally amazing. She helped me better understand what I was doing, how I can prevent certain things in the future (and shes not bad on the eyes, either 😏). All in all, my experience was wonderful and I will surely be coming back to this location.

Mike, the service advisor, and Peter, the technician, worked past closing time in order to help me get back on the road safely. My passenger side tire was down to the metal thread, and my car would shake when I would go faster than 50mph. I arrived at 6:30, and explained my situation. Not only did I get a better price than I anticipated, but they stayed late in order to get my car done. Im so grateful, and Im so impressed with the level of service here. They really went the extra mile!

Friendly enough service, but over two hours for an oil change? Come on. It wasnt even busy.To be fair, when I asked how long it was going to be (an hour and a half later!) They did seem to start hustling, and even spotted how dirty my air filters were and changed them for me. However, they didnt tell me how much that would cost, or that they had to change two filters. I was shocked by my total. But when I expressed this, he found a coupon for me, which helped.Upon looking at the receipt, I found that everything was reasonably priced. Just wish they had told me up front, because I was not planning to spend that much today!A very mixed bag in terms of quality.

My mother previously had been to this location to get to get her tires replaced and found the staff to be pleasant and knowledgeable. When I had some recent work done on my brakes at another location I had kept experiencing problems, so my mother suggested this location. The staff we met, Mike and Raj, were very helpful figuring out what was wrong with my car. I appreciated all the help I received and would recommend this location if you are having trouble with your car.
This place is absolutely horrible. No business should have staff that are so openly hostile and rude to their customers.I walked in earlier to try to get an oil change and look at their Spring Care Package, which includes an alignment check. The service station attendant, who claimed himself to also be the manager, was disrespectful and rude. He was only interested in selling me expensive services, and got very mad when I asked him to apply a membership discount. I told him I wanted the alignment checked, and that there was nothing wrong with the car (not dragging, etc). He then tries to sell me the 100$ alignment package, when I insist I only want the Spring Care Package for the alignment check.He then proceeds to get hostile about me asking for a membership discount. The Spring Care Package is 29.99$ for members, and 39.99$ for non-members. Membership is free, says the flyer on the counter. I asked if I could sign up for a membership and get the discount on the Spring Care Package. He refused, saying sometimes it takes the membership longer to process, up to 24 hours, he wasnt sure if I could get the discount on the same day. I asked him if he could check the price for me by attempting to ring it up. He refused, saying that he could only ring up a transaction after a service has been rendered, and that I hadnt received any service. However, it is unreasonable for him to expect me to agree to a service without telling me the cost up-front. I asked him if he could activate my membership, and then try to see the price of the product. He refused, saying that you can only get a membership if you purchase something (which I highly doubt is how things work). I said okay, then Ill purchase the oil change (which is separate) and get the membership from there, and then he can use that membership to see if I can get the discount. If the discount took longer to activate, then I could just come back the next day. He was visibly annoyed and angry at this point, talking in very snarky and biting tones. When I asked to talk to a manager at this point, he refused, saying that he was the manager. He finally proposed that I buy the oil change to get the membership (by first waiting 30 minutes for them to complete the oil change) and after that, he would try to ring me up for the Spring Care Package (which would take another 30-40 minutes to complete). However, if I did not want the discount, then I could get them BOTH done at the same time for only one instance of waiting 30-40 minutes.I hope no one else has to go through this same thing.

Took my car in to get some spark plugs replaced and do a fuel injection cleaning. On the bright side they got my car running again, but on the downside charged $361.00 for 1.8 hours of labor. Thats around $200/hour labor charges which I think is insane. I recommend taking your car elsewhere to get it fixed if you can.

This is the worst place to buy tires from dont. Do it I needed new tires for my car and I went there, because this they were a little cheaper, and I paid extra for the road side assistant, and I went to get a new tire they would not honer the agreement and wanted to change me 107.00 for a new tire, PLEASE PEOPLE RUN FROM THAT PLACE

I have opened a dispute on BBB and I’m considering going against a civil court claimBrought car after having a diagnosis with a different mechanic that I need a thermostat change. After pep boys wanted specifically to do a diagnostic themselves they decided that I need much much more. Paid $700.Took the car late - late to job, when I leave rushing the car is worst that I leave it. I absolutely have no time to go back in a complaint. Horrible sound car almost breaking down.Call them.. they say they don’t have mecánic no one can do nothing. Finally day after day, 2 weeks later a mechanic tells me my sensor needs replaced but because they were the last on “messing” with it will reduce the price for me. Not happy but what can I do. He tells me to come back tomorrow. I go back tomorrow another guy is there that says he’s the manager and doesn’t understand why the other mechanic reduces the price and I need to pay another $500.They BREAK my car after paying $700 and want me to pay extra $500. They are ripping me off.’im one minute away to call my bank and cancelThe $700. But what makes more sense is to go to court for negligenceHorrible service. And I will continue on posting reviews on all possible engines.

My experience overall was nothing short of pleasant. James, the front desk advisor is extremely pleasant to deal with and knows his stuff! The rest of the team that night were pleasant and corteous. I intend on making this my go-to store for all of my auto needs and would suggest the same to everybody.
The customer representatives (specifically Raj and to a an extent Clayton) were very unwelcoming and maintained a tone of superiority. They were unable to explain mechanical terms and layman terms nor did they show any will to do so. Did not feel I could trust them with my car or diagnostic before and after the service. In addition they were not easy to reach on the phone and were not willing to all over a couple of feet to their neighboring department to transfer the call. Would not step In there ever again.

I used to give this Pep Boys a glowing review, but then a couple of weeks ago I went in for a slow leak and it was recommended that I get two tires. The guy I talked to said he would get me a deal on a third tire so I would have a matching set. But then he did some fuzzy math that he wouldnt explain and I ended up paying almost $450, even though he told me the total would be $420 on the phone. Honestly, I think he flat out lied to me. The whole encounter was SUPER SKETCHY!PSA: Every tire patch I have ever gotten here has failed within a couple of months.
Pep boys on Buford highway 4105 is where you can get some of the best of quality service. Very customer friendly and employees Raj & Terry was very open to any of my concerns.

Okay I get it there wasnt any appointment set but from what I could tell there wasnt much of anyone getting service. Went in for battery check and it took almost an hour for them to even look at my car. And then another hour and half to even get work done. If I hadnt been pressed for time I might have been in better opinion of shop.
