The short of it: I have had a terrible, ongoing, and unresolved experience with this service department. In summary, I paid Jim Ellis $1,100 to fix something on my vehicle; the same problem persisted 48 hours later. My vehicle was not fixed to working order, and Jim Ellis has yet to refund me the money I paid for the unnecessary service they performed.The long of it: I drove a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. It had 167,000 miles. On a Friday evening, my car completely broke down on 400: the acceleration and brakes went out. My car was towed to Jim Ellis Hyundai that evening. The following day (Saturday), I received a call from Hyundai stating that the wheel hub assembly and sensors needed to be replaced, and this was the reason my car acceleration and brakes went out. The wheel hub assembly seemed unrelated to my acceleration and brakes, but they assured me that was the issue. They also recommend several hundred more dollars in services, which I declined but went ahead with the wheel hub assembly replacement and the battery terminal service. Jim Ellis also completed a multi point inspection. I was informed around 6:30PM that my car was ready, so I picked it up at 6:55PM, just a few minutes before the shop closed. As I drove home, I immediately noticed a low humming sound coming from my engine. I had never noticed that sound previously.Fast forward to Monday, my car is still humming and I text my service advisor that I would like to bring my car back in. He schedules an appointment for me for later that week. However, Tuesday evening as Im leaving work, my car once again breaks down on 400. The acceleration goes out, the brakes stop working -- I experience the exact same situation I had experienced the previous Friday before Jim Ellis had serviced my car. I once again got my car towed to Jim Ellis. Wednesday morning I went to Jim Ellis and spoke with the service department manager, Russell. He informed me that by some fluke, it was a completely different issue that had sprung up since they had seen my car Saturday despite me having experienced the same problem. He stated that the wheel hub assembly was completely unrelated and that the issue now was that my engine had failed -- despite my engine looking perfectly normal on Saturday when they completed the inspection. I brought up the fact that I believed they fixed the wrong problem on Saturday, and he stated that it was just an unfortunate coincidence. He said he would start a consumer affairs case with corporate Hyundai to see if corporate would extend my warranty and provide me with a new engine. I had zero expectation of corporate Hyundai extending my warranty (I completely understand that they had no reason to since my car was out of warranty). Russell said to wait discussing a refund for the $1,100 until they had heard back from corporate one way or another.In the meantime, they set me up with a rental car for 48 hours. After 48 hours and continually checking in with them, I was told corporate had not responded and I became responsible for my own rental car. After 6 days of no update (and me checking in daily), I was told by Jim Ellis to contact Hyundai corporate directly about my case. I did so, and the corporate advisor I spoke to stated that they had already informed Jim Ellis 6 days prior that corporate would not provide me with a new engine (fair, I was out of warranty). The corporate representative informed me that the corporate department handling my case is not actually a client facing department and will not speak directly to customers; they will only speak to dealerships. I was told I needed to contact Jim Ellis directly.I called Russell twice after learning that my case had already been 6 days closed. I left two voicemails on August 12, 2020. I have yet to receive a call back or a refund.Additionally, Jim Ellis miscommunicated with Enterprise and I was overcharged $160 for the car rental. This issue was corrected within 48 hours.

The part I ordered was exactly as described. Brand new, and fit as expected. They are excellent with keeping you informed of every aspect of your order. I highly recommend Jim Ellis Hyundai for all of your parts needs. If ever I need anything else, I will do business with them again. 🙂

The parts i wanted were not available in my area, they were on back order. I sent JE parts department an inquiry wether they had the part on hand and they said they did. I ordered it and they sent it as soon as possible. I will use them again if i need a part.

This was my second Kona that I purchased at this dealership & the experience was just as great as the first one. Everyone here is amazing. The customer service is outstanding. The sales people are not pushy, they are super knowledgeable & always easy to work with. Same goes with financing. Both times it was a pleasure & stress free. The sales manager Gregory helped me this sale & he was great. Showed me my options & kept me right in budget. Chuck was a big help too. Took me on my test drive & showed me all the bells & whistles, everything the new 2021 Kona had to offer. He even gave me a great tutorial of all the features. Ask for Chuck if you have any tech questions!

I was a regular customer of Jim Ellis Hyundai Service, but Ill never come here again after today. When I checked in this morning, I was told it would take 3 and half hours but it took 7 and half. After a long wait, I departed driving my car but got a call in a few minutes, saying I left my home key there. In the morning when I checked in, I never separated my keys from car remote and left whole bundle as it was in the car. But after get the call I realized only remote was put in the car without keys. For some reason they pulled the keys off from remote. But the worse, when I came back to pick up the keys, the guy lied me that I left the keys on the seat I was waiting on, and he found that there. I never had the keys with me after check-in, and I couldnt leave my key I didnt have. I guess he may wanted to make his mistake mine. I cannot trust them any more and felt very unpleasant for the unshamed lie. No reason to waste my time any more with unreliable Service center.

Great customer Service along with correct parts ID then only the only thing Lacking was in the delivery time IT took over a week where as 2 day priority delivery mail from the USPS would have cost lees on my end & it would have been delivered in a more trimly matter

Usually at car dealerships you get better service but end up paying more. Here, you get bad service but still end up paying more.Ive been here quite a few times. Im sitting in the waiting area for 4 (5...,5 hours 30 minutes) hours waiting for a car-wash and oil change at this point. Decided to write something about my experience.On one occasion my car got lost in the lot in what shouldve been a simple pick up. I dropped my car off the day before, waited until it was ready, and drove in the next weekday to pick it up. What shouldve taken 5 minutes took 45.On another occasion a service rep specifically told me that something was gonna be covered by warranty. Rather than being covered by warranty I was invoiced for a few thousand dollars. Thankfully this was easy to catch and fix but who knows what other things are off that I didnt?Youll also get to look forward to being upselled into getting things you dont need. Due to the severe driving conditions of Atlanta the service interval for my car had to be drastically reduced. Wonder why?All of these constant mistakes make me wonder whats actually happening to my car.As soon as my warrantys up Im never setting foot in this place again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. At the very least some other dealership.Of course, your experience may be different but Jim Ellis Hyundai Service has consistently under-delivered for me.My one star, the service reps appear to actually care about you being happy but I think theyre in over their head.

Very communicative. If they are short on a part you ordered or want to order they will let you know, very politely I might add, and give an estimate of when it could be back in stock, though no guarantees of course. Totally normal though for one off parts to run out of stock till more can be made.Had to wait myself for a month or two to get a handbrake cable and have done it. Ordered a second recently as well since if one goes, the second is not far behind and I want to eventually change the third cable in the handle itself that goes to the equalizer/splitter from the adjustment bolt just to be safe since all that bending takes its toll(minimum 100 handbrake engagements per day, 6 days a week, 11 months out of the year, for the last 7 years since starting my current job that I use my car for).Their shipping is pretty fast too. Costly but some parts are large and have to be shipped in large boxes so as not to deform or break.Overall I am very happy with this dealership and its staff and will continue to buy from them!

My car was serviced 3 weeks ago when I went to collect my car it had the check engine light that was on which was the first reason it was in the service center. The manager who serviced my car Larry was away that day so his colleague assisted in checking it again and said if I drive it around for a few days it would be ok and if the problem persists I should bring it back. I have seen the light come on again and trying to reach them but there is no way I can get to Larry or the team.This is the second time I am having issue with the service team here. I think its time to look for an alternative place..

If I could give less than one star I would. I ordered a part and then the part was canceled without notice. I called to reorder part but was told I had to go through through the process again and that I couldnt order online. The entire time this conversation was taking place, the gentleman on the phone was cackling with someone in the background. Very poor customer service and staff appear to be incompetent. Do business with them at your own risk.

Jim Ellis then emailed me when the part was shipped. Part was exactly what I requested. I installed the part and now my wife is a happy camper once again. I needed to buy spare tire before taking a long road trip. First they said I needed pay extra because part was heavier. Then, they said part was wrong and I need to pay double of what I paid previously for getting the right part. You have to check your inventory and correct your part numbers if you would like to run this business properly.

After not hearing any thing for several days I was concerned that they did not have or were having dificulty finding cross over pressure tubes for power steering gear box (rack). They shipped the following day and I had them within a week of ordering. Call to parts department to clarify correct parts for my VIN went quickly. Mail order pricing was excelent.

Long story, short... ordered a part a few years ago, they sent the wrong thing, called... maybe 10 times, no one responded to messages, sent back part, never got refund, replacement or even an acknowledgement. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.
