Bad experience. Found Motorcar Studio to be less than honorable and certainly not professional. Nor trustworthy. Nor do they honor their word. Be very cautious! Id be hesitant to send them money or wire them funds after my experience. Guess I was fortunate to not get burned but someone else might not be so lucky. Buyer beware! P.S. And yes, I dealt with Chris. He suddenly stopped contact - via email, text and phone! All three! Never have I experienced such unprofessionalism from any business. So dont believe his BS of I dont have any record of of working with you. Just proves my point. Protect your hard-earned money! Best to deal with a more reliable operation that follows standard, accepted business practices.
I had a great experience consigning my 72 LTD convertible. Chris Baucom and his partner are conscientious, very honest, customer-centric and professional. The advertising and video they put together was professional-grade. They sold the car within 3 weeks at a decent price. I highly recommend them and will use them again.
I consigned my classic car with Motorcar Studio. Chris and the whole team were a pleasure to deal with and very professional. Car sold in a timely manner at the agreed upon terms. Motorcar did a great job with pictures and the write up. Most importantly they accurately conveyed the condition and details to prospective buyers. I was able to talk to the buyer after the sale and he was very pleased with the car and agreed that Motorcar accurately described the cars history and condition. He bought the car sight unseen and was very complimentary of the whole process. I searched long and hard to find a broker who would be both professional and motivated. I found exactly that in Motorcar Studio. Great people and a great showroom. I would not hesitate to use them again as a seller or buyer. Thanks guys.
The staff and workmanship at Motorcar are top notch. Trust Chris and Nick like family for their expertise and professionalism. I wouldnt take my business anywhere else.
Sold a car for me. No muss, no fuss. Handled the whole thing for me while I was out of town. Great selection, great service, and genuinely nice guys.
My experience with Motorcar Studio was only positive especially for buying an iconic, modified 1976 BMW 2002 sight unseen!Purchasing a car out of state this way is always a risk, but directly dealing with Chris at Motorcar via emails and phone put most worries at bay. The car was represented honestly and all my questions were answered satisfactorily. Very smooth transaction with the paperwork and the ultimate delivery of the car! Although the pictures and video presented by Motorcar Studio were of high quality, the car in person was even more handsome than expected. Ive owned many cars throughout my 54 years on this planet, so I expect a 40 year old nicely modified car to have its quirks and are totally acceptable and add to its character! The engine and exhaust have a great sound, and the overall look just puts a smile on peoples faces! I plan on continuing to care for this little mechanical piece of art, drive it whenever I can, and hope to ultimately make it even more of a fun machine for all to enjoy!!The folks at Motorcar Studio were only professional and fair! I went into this deal knowing there are never any guarantees, but their professionalism and sincerity in providing quality service without any pressure made my experience totally positive! I would not hesitate to buy from them again.Perry J. Castellano
I called about a Scout. I spoke with Chris & emailed him an offer. He never called or emailed me back about a counter offer. Terrible salesman! I now know not to purchase or consign a vehicle with them.
Purchased 1965 corvair corsa . Worked with Chris on purchasing the car he went out of his way took dozens of phone calls from me sent me pics of every part on car I asked for . Very polite always took my phone calls . I received the car the car was exactly as described very happy thank you so much . I would purchase another car from them
I got a 1997 Mercedes from Motorcar Studio and could not be happier with the car. Chris and his team were super helpful and the transaction went completely smoothly. Plus, it was fun getting to see all of the cool inventory they have.
THE place to buy a quality classic! Nick and Chris know their cars and and their clients. No disappointments...
Chris and his team at Motorcar Studio are wonderful folks. They are professional, knowledgeable, and customer oriented. I drove in from Ohio and my purchase could not have gone more smoothly. The car was exactly as described, and they answered every question I had to my satisfaction. I look forward to buying more cars from them. It was very much worth the trip.
Bought a Triumph TR6, car had a ton of issues and should have never even been put up for sale. The sales guy was responsive but not very honest about the condition of the car and just wanted the sale. I would not purchase vehicles here again.
Chris and company have been great to work with, couldn’t have been happier with either of our deals so far.
I recently bought a scout traveler from Chris. I bought it directly off internet flew down and picked it up. Overall it was a great buy and I am very happy with my purchase.....
I consigned my Jeep CJ7 with Motorcar Studio and was very pleased with the deal they put together. Through their extensive marketing of the vehicle, they were able to put it in front of an out of state buyer and get me nearly 50% more than I had paid for the Jeep just a year earlier. It was a very easy experience; I just dropped it off, signed a consignment agreement and picked up my check a few weeks later. They cleaned it up and performed some routine maintenance to get it ready to sell.Nick, Chris and their team really know the vehicles they sell and dont go half way on anything. A quick walk through the showroom shows their attention to detail and passion for what they do.
I bought a 1986 911 Carrera convertible unseen. It was accurately described and Chris informed me correct. This I can conclude after owning the car for over a year now.
I purchased a 1969 Mustang through Motorcar Studio sight unseen that was misrepresented. It had numerous mechanical deficiencies that were misrepresented or not disclosed (but quite obvious upon delivery), nor discovered by the pre-purchase inspection done at the shop Motorcar Studio recommended. The subsequent repairs have been in the thousands.I would exercise caution in doing business with Motorcar Studio, and further I would recommend using an independent shop (not one recommended by Motorcar Studio) to thoroughly inspect any vehicle you are considering purchasing.
Honest, realistic and all around good people.
Motorcar Studio has sold several cars for me on consignment with great results realized in price, as well as speed and ease of transaction. Timely communication, and reach into the European collector car market sets them apart.
Honest sellers, great experience.
BUYER BEWARE!!! GET A PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION FROM A REPUTABLE INDEPENDENT SHOP!! Totally misrepresented the condition of a classic bronco we purchased. This is an email I sent to them:Chris,You told me that your shop restored the bronco and it was a nice driver. In order for us to get the bronco to pass NYS inspection, it took over 40 hours worth of work! Here is a list of some of the SAFETY items that Motorcar studio was responsible for:no reverse lights, left tail and parking lights out, license plate light inoperable, right rear axle seal leaking on brake pad, rear brake flex hose too short due to lift and not secured, emergency brake cable not attached so E-brake did not work, able to use hand to unscrew leaf spring mounting bolt, front track bar installed BACKWARDS and rubbing on front diff (is this the quality work Motorcar studio performs?), loose U-bolts on rear leafs, horn not working, fouled spark plugs...other items not related to safety inspection:transmission leaks from various seals and hoses, wrong engine mid-plate installed, broken bell housing, a/c condenser fan wiring just laying in engine compartment, ignition wires too long and rubbing on steering shaft and headers, steering stop missing from right side and left side was loose, tailgate didnt open, fuel gauge not working, plus more...Maybe you can explain to Mr. ****** *******why he has to put so much money/work into a vehicle that Motorcar studio restored and described as a nice driver ?Also Chris if you actually drove the bronco it would have been crystal clear that it ran horrible and was not a nice driver
Great place to do business with!!
Good people!
