Byron cleaned and replaced some worn bushings on my 1880’s regulator. Runs great now.

A lovely clock shop, a bastion of a dying profession, the owners possess vast horological knowledge and ability. Virtually any clock can be repaired and restored here. As with any type of craftsmanship, the price can be high and the wait long, yet such is well worth the investment. Visit this Atlanta gem for any clock need, there is a nice collection if clocks for sale as well.

BEWARE! Very disappointed! Bernie worked on an 1807 Gilbert for me and really performed some spotty work. I brought the non-working clock in and Bernie stated it needed a good cleaning and he would also clean the brass ring around the glass and tighten things up. When I picked up the clock the glass face cover wouldnt close/latch. When I opened it and looked at the face a much larger shiny silver colored screw had been used to fasten the glass trim to the face. It looked hideous and wouldnt allow the glass cover to shut. I asked Bernie why he didnt use a smaller screw that would allow it to close and matched the 3 existing screws. There was really no explanation. He tightened the large ugly screw down and if you push the glass face cover to the right it will latch now. Bernie said you cant see the bad screw when its closed. WOW!I opened the back and it was still full of cob webs and dust and the back door was missing a hinge nut which caused the hinge to fall out of the hole and the door to fall crooked.The clock mechanism does seem to be working ok, so one out of 4 or 5 tasks was done.I was very disappointed and will never return with another clock.
