Definitely is my favorite shop in athens, owner is nice and very knowledgeable. They have about anything youd need for guitar, bass and other instruments and has a cool selection of them too, as well as a few vinyl records for sale. If youre into music in general youd enjoy coming here!

I thought there was something wrong with the tuning machines on my guitar, they happily checked it out, tuned it, played it, assured me the guitar was functioning properly. The technician suggested I go to a heavier string to avoid the b string from going sharp as I played the that string. My only cost was the set of strings I bought. Highly recommend this establishment for musical accessories.

What a unique musical environment!! Purchased a violin 2 years ago that was a perfect purchase. Went back few months ago to choose violin for my granddaughter. Once again, I struck gold.The owner is very laid back, and is a wealth of knowledge. He listens to your interests and budget...then guides you within those confines.Its always an experience!!

Really good inventory here- just as good as the stores in big cities! We dropped in on our way back to Houston and I was surprised at some of the nice equipment they sell here.

Went to Guitar Center to get a problem fixed on my guitar, they said Itll cost about 80$, and take 5-6 weeks. I couldnt last that long, so I kept it with the issue. Well, one of the strings broke, so I took it into Blue Eagle Music, and the man at the front desk (Im guessing the owner?) was super friendly, knowledgable, and not only helped me find the new strings for the sound I wanted, but also fixed the problem I had on my guitar in about 30 seconds! (as opposed to the 5-6 weeks it wouldve taken for Guitar Center).Great experience and would definitely recommend it to any local musicians!

Ive been shopping at the Eagle since 2000.This is a small area (thus often gossipy, in both good and bad ways), and in all that time I have never heard a bad word about this store. Not when Ethan owned it, or now that Frank does. If someone told me they had a bad experience here, I would actually question their general credibility and character.When they dont know something, they tell you instead of sell you. The techs they work with are always well vetted. I cant say enough good stuff.And the same goes for Insea Sound on old 33 in Nelsonville/Logan. There is no excuse to go to Columbus for your music needs without stopping at both of these stores first.They both have as high a recommendation as I can give.

This place is awesome! Its definitely one of my favorite guitar shops; the owner & staff are friendly & knowledgeable, theres always a REALLY cool selection of instruments, accessories, books etc. I recommend Blue Eagle 100%.

Drove all the way from Columbus, 70 miles, because it looked like an interesting store. CLOSED! Nice looking Telly in the window though. ;-(
